Chapter 22 p2
On the way back, Lu Ze realized that it was snowing lightly.
The streets were lively, with bright red Christmas trees and decorations everywhere, and the sound of jingle bells echoed through the streets and alleys.
It was a lively scene.
On his phone, Lin Zhiyan said that he couldn’t make it back today and could only take the morning flight tomorrow. His words were full of apology. Lu Ze told him not to worry and to take his time.
Their future was still long, but for now, he was indeed alone.
777 was a little worried in his mind. “Host…”
777 didn’t know what to say, but just materialized its data into a reindeer and pulled a sleigh in his mind. “Merry Christmas, Host!”
There were no such festivals in the system’s world. What they learned were all human things.
Lu Ze smiled, thinking that this system was really different from the previous one.
This world was also different from the various worlds he had experienced.
When he got home, the heating was on, but it was still a little cold.
Lu Ze made a cup of coffee, sat on the sofa with his laptop, and his gaze paused when it touched the window.
It was snowing much harder.
The snowflakes fell from the sky and slowly entered the world shrouded by the streetlights. The originally pure white bodies were stained with a warm light, crystal clear.
It rarely snowed so heavily in the capital, which reminded him of the time he had gone to H City with Lin Zhiyan.
Lu Ze glanced at it and then withdrew his gaze.
Time passed quickly. When he looked up, it was almost twelve o’clock.
He stretched his body. Lu Ze had originally planned to wash up and go to bed, but just as he was about to walk to the bedroom, there was a knock on the door.
Lu Ze’s body paused. He seemed to have a feeling in his heart and turned to walk towards the door.
His steps were much faster than usual.
The door opened with a sound, and what came into view was a bouquet of bright red roses, dazzling and eye-catching.
Lu Ze’s gaze rested on it for a moment, then he slowly looked up.
The young man’s scarf was covered with white snowflakes, and his eyelashes were also wet, but his eyes were bright, and he smiled brilliantly, both sweet and soft:
“Mr. Lu, Merry Christmas.”
Lu Ze was stunned for a moment, then the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. His heart was warm, and he felt as if his whole person was about to be melted.
He wanted to take his hand, but Lin Zhiyan held the flowers out to him, his cat-like eyes wide.
Lu Ze obediently took them. Only then did Lin Zhiyan smile. “I originally wanted to buy you other flowers, but then I thought that for this occasion, there is nothing more suitable than roses.”
Lu Ze just looked at him without speaking.
Lin Zhiyan raised his eyebrows. “Are you stupid?”
Lu Ze suddenly let out a light laugh. Then, before Lin Zhiyan could react, he suddenly bent down, and the next moment, he was lifted up and carried into the house.
Lin Zhiyan let out a cry of “ah,” a smile in his surprise, and patted him. “Lu Ze!”
The door was kicked shut, and the bedroom door was left wide open.
Lin Zhiyan’s scarf and down jacket were thrown to the ground. It was still very cold when he came back from outside, but it warmed up after a while.
Lu Ze was very excited.
Lin Zhiyan was also very excited.
Affection is alluring, and it’s not just talk.
Lu Ze had said that he understood and was considerate, but now, he still turned him over and over. Lin Zhiyan cried, but it was useless, and he even received more frantic treatment.
He was even forced by him, bit by bit, to call out names he had never had the face to call before, and to try positions he had never had the eyes to look at before.
“A Ze…”
“Wrong.”
“Say it again.”
Outside, the wind was cold and fierce. Through the glass window, the two indistinct words were blurred:
“Husband…”

When he woke up the next day, the sky was already bright.
The sun was high in the sky, the weather was clear, and the snow on the ground had not yet melted.
Lin Zhiyan rolled around in bed, feeling his back ache, and couldn’t help but grin.
Although he knew that last night would not be an easy one after rushing back in the snow, he didn’t expect Lu Ze to be so rough.
He could faintly smell the aroma of food, and Lin Zhiyan didn’t want to get up.
Lu Ze coaxed him up and fed him something to eat.
Lin Zhiyan sat at the dining table, his gaze falling on the vase on the side, which held a bouquet of bright red roses, the petals still covered with water droplets.
He thought that Lu Ze had probably stayed up late last night to take care of these flowers.
Lu Ze noticed his gaze and smiled. “There was no vase at home, so I just found something to put them in. Let’s go to the supermarket this afternoon and find a suitable vase, and we can also buy some other things.”
Lin Zhiyan let out a long “okay.”
He liked the feeling of the two of them discussing and living their lives together.
After lunch, the two of them snuggled together. Lin Zhiyan told him in a small voice about the people and things he had encountered on his trip, and how he had rushed to catch the plane and finally made it back.
He also said that the professor had a knowing look on his face when he knew he was coming back early, and he was afraid he would be teased a lot in the future.
Lu Ze’s hand was in his hair, and he listened to him quietly.
The sun outside the window was just right.
In the afternoon, close to dinner time, the snow on the road was almost cleared, so the two of them walked to a nearby supermarket together.
In addition to a vase, there were also some daily necessities, food, and drinks.
After these few busy days, they could relax a little. The two of them would probably not be at home much, so they stocked up in advance.
They bought a full shopping cart. While they were waiting in line to check out, Lin Zhiyan saw Lu Ze very naturally walk to the cashier and take two boxes of things.
Lin Zhiyan looked down and saw that they were very familiar.
Lu Ze had his hands in his pockets, his movements natural. “We’re out at home. We have to stock up on this kind of thing.”
Lin Zhiyan remembered their absurdity yesterday, and his face couldn’t help but turn red. After a moment, as if he were really curious, he asked in a small voice, “What does it feel like… if you don’t use it?”
Lu Ze paused, looked down at him, his smile a little dangerous.
“I don’t know,” he said, his fingers twirling his hair, his eyes slowly darkening, his voice light and airy, “Shall we go home and try?”
Lin Zhiyan met his gaze, then slowly looked away…
After leaving the supermarket and putting the things in the trunk, the two of them drove to a nearby restaurant.
It was the private kitchen that Lu Ze had first recommended, with light dishes.
“I originally wanted to take you to eat something else.” At the table, Lu Ze rested his chin on his hand. “But then I suddenly felt that this place was more suitable.”
Lin Zhiyan now couldn’t help but secretly hate himself for speaking without thinking just now.
The dishes were still delicious, but Lin Zhiyan felt as if he were eating his last meal.
After dinner, it was almost dark. The two of them left through the main entrance, but they didn’t notice that in front of another private room, Qi Kuo was frowning as he looked at their figures, his face slightly dark.
