Chapter 63: The Alliance Support Who Was Suppressed by His Teammates (Part 6)
Yu Lin held the two slightly larger team uniforms and returned to his room, fuming.
He sat down, and with his eyes lowered, he looked at the two identical uniforms in his arms. He could feel his heart pounding, and a blush instantly spread across his skin.
His eyelashes were lowered, his expression was cold, and his lips were slightly pressed together. After a while, he lowered his head slightly and buried his face in the slightly larger team uniform.
It was a cold, fragrant smell mixed with laundry detergent, with no smell of smoke.
A moment later, Yu Lin got up, and with a red face, he put away the clothes and put them in the closet.

As the league selection was approaching, all the clubs were as if they had been injected with chicken blood, and they were all arranging practice matches. As soon as the weekend was over, Duan Qiancheng had arranged two training matches with the Yanyun team.
Also an old and powerful team, the Yanyun team had made it to the top four for three consecutive years. The four members of the team had a tacit understanding and were good at strangling their opponents. Their strength was not to be underestimated.
When Duan Qiancheng came in, the training room was in full swing. Fang Cheng had gone to the competition field to play ranked matches, but he had run into a teammate who was lying down and doing nothing. Coincidentally, the opponent was a troll.
Fang Cheng was furious, and he fought one against two, not at a disadvantage at all. The entire screen was full of his words.
『Your dad could sprinkle a handful of millet on the ground, and a chicken would peck better than you. Come on, cluck, cluck, son, it’s time to eat the millet.』
『My mom praised me. You’re really a little turtle that has fallen into a salt jar. You’re so free that you’re just chasing your dad. You’re a toad chasing a peony. You’re ugly and you’re playing dirty!!』
Yu Lin was also playing a ranked match. While he was skillfully healing his teammates and blowing up the enemy’s supply points, his eyelashes lifted slightly, and he secretly looked at Fang Cheng’s chat screen.
Duan Qiancheng stood behind and watched the two of them’s little movements, and he almost couldn’t breathe.
This kid Fang Cheng was unrestrained with his words, but he was cute and could act cute. He had a lot of mom fans, and even when he was cursing, there were many Fang moms who would passionately wash the ground for him.
But the warning card had been sent to him!!
Duan Qiancheng came forward with a dark face, planning to take them one by one, to teach the old one not to be reckless, and to warn the young one not to learn.
Just as he had lifted his foot, Zhuang Ningyu passed by with a coffee cup, glanced at the inattentive support, and with a light lift of his long fingers, he pinched the back of his neck. “Concentrate.”
He pulled out the chair next to him and sat down.
Duan Qiancheng came over with a menacing aura, glanced at the new team member’s red and smoking earlobes, opened his mouth, and then turned to grab Fang Cheng’s neck and lift him up. “You’re itching for a fight, aren’t you?”
Fang Cheng’s ears immediately trembled.
He did not stop moving, and with a set of combos, he killed the idiot troll. He stubbornly said another word to the other party, and then looked up and pretended to be stupid. “Huh? What’s wrong, Brother Duan? I’m playing a match!”
Duan Qiancheng raised his hand and gave him a flick on the forehead. “Haven’t you heard? You have to practice the exam questions well. If you get another warning in the match, I’ll see how I’ll deal with you!”
“By the way.” He turned his head, patted the back of the chair, and said to the few people who were laughing in the training room, “I’ve arranged a training match with Yanyun. We’ll also practice in the afternoon.”
After Zhou Cheng had stepped down, he had smoothly transitioned to the coaching team. He was discussing tactics with Tan Hua in a low voice.
The others nodded and picked up their mice, preparing to practice another game.
It was early autumn, and the daylight was bright, spicy but not dazzling. The sound of mice and keyboards was heard in the training room. The new and old team members were sitting together, whispering, and everything was just right. Duan Qiancheng smiled with satisfaction.

For the new tactic that Dawn had introduced, all the top clubs in the alliance were very curious and wanted to test the waters.
It was not surprising that Yanyun had gotten a spot. Their team was strong, but not perverted. More importantly, from their manager to their team members, they were all known for being gentle.
The captain of the Yanyun team, Guan Fenglin, had typed in the public chat before the match had even started, asking if the new team member was playing in this match.
He was very straightforward and did not say anything ambiguous. Zhuang Ningyu saw the message and replied with one word, “Yes.”
When the match started, neither side had been too aggressive at the beginning. Unlike the last time they had attacked SIA, as soon as the match was out, those who were interested had definitely already studied Yu Lin thoroughly.
In the past, when a team had changed a new support, the other teams would pay more attention to the overall team. But when Dawn had changed a new support, and the new support had obvious characteristics, their gazes would inevitably fall on him.
Both sides had the idea of practicing, and at the beginning, they were very conventional. It was not until Fang Cheng had silently gone to the opponent’s bottom lane to get supply points and had been discovered and focused on by the two enemy assaults.
“Damn!” A cry of alarm came from the headset.
Zhuang Ningyu and Lin Qingchuan were far away and could not support him in time.
Yu Lin was a little closer. He flashed over, and while he was healing Fang Cheng, he grabbed the opponent and began to consume them.
His positioning was fast, and he used his crowd control removal even faster. He had tricked the opponent into using many big moves. While Fang Cheng was starting to fight back, and while he was healing, he would occasionally drop two claws to bind the opponent.
It was not a normal support style at all, and it was very aggressive.
On the battlefield, the assault who had left a teammate’s corpse saw that the situation was not good and quickly ran away.
The one who had died was staring at his own corpse in a daze. In the training room, he slowly took off his headset and turned to ask the coach, “No, how can he be so fast? And how did he know that my skill was just there? He’s not cheating, is he?”
He was slapped on the back of the head by the coach. “Look again.”
After a training match, Yanyun had narrowly lost, and both sides had gained something.
Because the support’s style had changed, and he could be appropriately matched to crush the opponent, Dawn’s tactics had to be updated, and Yanyun was also satisfied to have gotten a first-hand source of information.
After the training match, the two sides had a friendly exchange and politely arranged for the next match.
Guan Fenglin’s voice was gentle, and he had a smile. “Seven, you’ve found a treasure this time.”
He was telling the truth, but it was not that he was envious. Their team had a tacit understanding, and their playstyle was fixed. A rash change of players would be too much for them. But Dawn was different.
Zhuang Ningyu’s operation was perverted, and with him holding the fort, it would greatly ease the burden on the others, and he could stabilize his teammates who had their own personal styles. Their combination was a matter of one plus one being greater than two.
The other end was messy, and there was a sound of keyboard tapping. Fang Cheng was excitedly reviewing his handsome operation just now with the others. Yu Lin was pestered by him. He took off his headset and listened to him quietly, and from time to time, he would reply with a cold “en.”
After a long while, Guan Fenglin heard a low “en” from the other end.
After the match, Duan Qiancheng came in and arranged for a small dinner party.
He was on the phone while he was signaling the others in the training room to pack up. “Okay, okay. I’m coming. I’m hanging up.”
Then he knocked on the door and said, “We’re having crayfish. I’ve already booked a table. This restaurant is only open for a few months a year. I’ve finally gotten a spot. Hurry up and pack up and go downstairs.”
He came and went in a hurry, and after he had given his instructions, he left with his phone.
The others were obviously skilled. Fang Cheng got up in a second, grabbed his jacket and rushed out, and Lin Qingchuan pushed up his glasses and followed behind.
The two of them went out one after another and waved their hands. “Captain, Lin Lin, we’ll wait for you downstairs!”
Yu Lin looked up at their backs, and his gaze fell to the side. On the side, Zhuang Ningyu had just accepted the invitation of the Yanyun captain and was in a one-on-one match. He was not in a hurry, and his positioning was skillful.
Yu Lin had originally gotten up slightly, but after a moment of hesitation, he sat back down.
His movements were subtle, and he was pressing his lips together, his expression cold, as if he were not interested in anything.
The game page on the computer was not closed. He moved the mouse, glanced at the two people who were sparring on the side, and planned to find a random friend and start a one-on-one match.
As he was searching, a laugh suddenly came from his ear, both low and deep, and it fell in the empty training room.
Yu Lin pressed his lips together, and with his head down, he was still filtering, when he heard Zhuang Ningyu suddenly say, “En, I’m not playing anymore. I’m quitting. The little kid will be anxious in a bit.”
Yu Lin paused, and the fingertip on the mouse paused, and his eyelashes moved slightly.
On the side, Zhuang Ningyu stood up cleanly, picked up his jacket, and reached out and ruffled his hair. “Let’s go. Let’s eat.”
***
The restaurant was in the city center. It was an old restaurant, and the location was not very large, and the decoration was very old-fashioned. Duan Qiancheng had booked a private room, and the few of them went in with hats and masks.
As Duan Qiancheng was going upstairs, he was cautiously staring at the surroundings for any cameras, and he was muttering on the side, “Your treatment is comparable to that of a star.”
The team’s fan base was the highest for Zhuang Ningyu. He had twenty million followers on Weibo, and a single post could dominate the hot search. Some stars with high traffic would be envious.
Because he was too good-looking, some film crews had even come to the team to poach him, and had asked him if he would also act. It was fine even if he waited until he retired. Duan Qiancheng had sent them all away.
Fang Cheng had laughed when he heard this. “That’s the captain, right?” Then he had blinked, and his gaze had shifted to Yu Lin’s cold and quiet face, and he had let out a light hiss. “Okay, now there’s another one.”
He had lightly poked Lin Qingchuan’s waist. “You say, Little Duan, what kind of dog-shit luck is this? He just casually found such a face to play games for him, and there are two of them!”
Lin Qingchuan had held his waist, and had walked forward quickly, and had avoided him with a dark face. “Don’t touch me there.”
Fang Cheng was a step behind, and he was dumbfounded. “Huh?”
A group of them went into the private room, talking and laughing.
After they had ordered, and before the league had started, Fang Cheng had suggested having a drink. Duan Qiancheng had thought for a moment and had not refused. “Okay, but only a little.”
Fang Cheng had nodded readily. “Definitely.”
But he and Lin Qingchuan had gotten more and more drunk, and with the regret and relief that they had all suppressed in their hearts, and Zhou Cheng, whose eyelids were red, the three of them were in a daze.
In the end, only Zhuang Ningyu was sitting calmly, and by his side was a bewildered Yu Lin.
Yu Lin’s alcohol tolerance was average, and he would be knocked out by a single glass of white beer. Zhuang Ningyu had been watching him and had not let him drink much, but when he had turned his head again, he was sitting very obediently, and his slender fingers were resting on his knees, and his eyelids were slightly red, and he was swaying.
Zhuang Ningyu turned his head to look at him. He paused for a moment, and his eyelashes came over. “Captain.”
He was also tilting his head, and his black hair was hanging over his eyelids. His usually quiet face had a thoughtful expression, and he frowned slightly, and finally asked him, “Why are there two of you?”
Zhuang Ningyu lowered his eyes to look at him, and there was no expression on his face, and his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.
He had also had a few drinks at night, and his self-control was not as good as usual.
He took a deep breath, grunted, “En,” and asked him in a hoarse voice, “Are you drunk?”
“A little.” Yu Lin was as obedient as ever. He thought for a moment, and with his head down, he only said after a while, “Thank you.”
“What?” Zhuang Ningyu didn’t understand, and his gaze fell on the team uniform that he was reluctant to take off, and he let out a light laugh. “The clothes?”
Yu Lin looked at him, and his neck was red. He was actually a little dizzy, so he paused for a moment before he could smoothly repeat the bizarre scene in his mind.
He said softly, “No.”
“Then what is it?”
“The training match last season, on March 5th.” Yu Lin’s voice was blurry, as if it had been mixed into a light spring rain.
“That day, I was suppressed by two assaults, and then I was… scolded by my teammate for only feeding. You turned on your mic and said to him, ‘Are you crippled? You’re letting a support play the assault position. Do you need me to call 120 for you?'”
He had said this with difficulty, and he was so dizzy that he was seeing stars, so he had to sit quietly for a while.
His eyelashes were long, and his eyelids were red.
Zhuang Ningyu looked at him and was suddenly speechless.
He tried hard to think, and it seemed that there was indeed such a thing. He couldn’t remember clearly. It might have been a casual remark.
But this little fool had remembered it for several months, had practiced the assault support, and had been thinking of telling him.
Zhuang Ningyu felt that there was something in his heart too.
Perhaps it was a light rain, light and a little wet, a little damp, and so the spring was full of life, and all things broke through the soil.
