Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

The Cub Comes from Planet Meow 56

Chapter 56: Meow

Jing Mimi wandered around the bedroom. He felt the floor heating was a bit hot, but after taking off his thick jacket, he felt a bit cold, so he opened the wardrobe to look for a thin jacket.

His papas bought him many new clothes, which were put together with their clothes.

Unexpectedly—he found a pair of soft kitten ears in the wardrobe.

They should be meant to be worn on the head, but his head was too small to wear them; they would fall off.

His papas must have bought them!

Jiang Suifeng snatched the cat ear headband from the little guy’s hand immediately, his eyes full of panic, looking at Jing Zhi nervously.

Jing Zhi was also as tense as him, sitting on pins and needles.

Matching the cat ears was a fluffy cat tail, which was washed by Jiang Suifeng and hung high on the small balcony on the other side. It hadn’t dried yet and hadn’t been discovered by the little cub.

Fortunately… fortunately, only the cat ears were discovered.

It could be considered a blessing in disguise.

Jing Mimi blinked in confusion, his gaze still on the cat ears in Jiang Suifeng’s hand, his small hand still in a loosely grasping posture.

Seeing this, Jing Zhi coughed lightly and called out: “Mimi, come here, eat first. After eating, Papa will buy you new cat ears. This one is too big for you to wear.”

Jing Mimi then withdrew his gaze and walked over obediently.

Jiang Suifeng casually placed the cat ears high up where the little cub couldn’t reach and strode over too.

The three of them ate the dumplings somewhat absent-mindedly.

Jing Mimi ate while looking forward to the new kitten ears.

Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng were so embarrassed that they wished they could bury their faces in the dumpling bowls.

After eating, Jing Mimi ran into the bedroom da da da again. Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng’s hearts rose instantly.

Jing Zhi urged in a low voice: “Go check, don’t let there be anything else not tidied up.”

Jiang Suifeng stood up abruptly.

Before he could walk over, the little guy walked out carrying a small bag.

“Papa, eat cat ears!”

Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng had some PTSD about “cat ears” and subconsciously felt apprehensive.

Unexpectedly, this time the “cat ears” were really “proper cat ears” (the snack).

“Crunch crunch.”

Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng each picked up a cat ear and threw it into their mouths, chewing synchronously.

Quite delicious.

They ate it often when they were young, but less after growing up.

It was a somewhat nostalgic taste.

While eating, the two listened to Jing Mimi recount his interesting experiences at Wang Qiuqiu’s house.

Besides cat ears, Jing Mimi also brought back two drawings.

One was Little Tail drawn by Qiuqiu. In the drawing, they drew a long tail for the little orange cat, with a cute white tip on the orange tail.

It was the most beautiful fantasy and blessing.

The other was a tree covered with small handprints, each in a different color. One look and you knew it was a certain little guy’s masterpiece.

This reminded them of a certain kitten’s plum blossom paw prints, and their hearts softened as if wrapped completely in cotton.

Jiang Suifeng immediately ordered a photo frame online according to the size of the drawing and hung it on the wall at home, visible as soon as one looked up.

Jing Zhi also ordered cat ear clips from a nearby boutique store. Not long after, a delivery guy rang the doorbell.

There were two clips, each with a soft light yellow triangular cat ear attached.

Jing Zhi specially bent the soft wire inside for fixing with his hand, folding the cat ears forward a bit, exactly matching the kitten Mimi’s folded ears.

After folding, Jing Zhi clipped them onto Jing Mimi’s head one by one.

The little guy’s hair had grown quite a bit, so it was easy to fix.

After clipping, Jing Zhi smiled and pinched Jing Mimi’s little face, couldn’t help rubbing the back of his head, and praised: “So cute.”

Jing Mimi was also very happy, running to the mirror to admire himself for a long time.

It was just that the color of the cat ears bought from the boutique store was slightly different from his hair color, not very natural.

But he was satisfied enough.

Didn’t expect to be able to “grow” kitten ears after becoming a little human.

Jing Mimi spun around happily in front of the mirror, suddenly thought of something, returned to his papas, and asked with sparkling eyes: “Papa, where are those white kitten ears from just now?”

Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng looked at each other. The latter obediently took down the cat ears placed high just now.

Jing Mimi: “Papa wear them too, take photos with me.”

Jiang Suifeng immediately folded the ears slightly forward and put them on Jing Zhi. Listening to the crisp jingling sound in his ears, the scene of Jing Zhi wearing cat ears being bumped into jingling yesterday involuntarily surfaced in his mind again.

Jiang Suifeng quickly shook those R-rated things out of his head and took photos of the big one and the little one.

Actually, the white cat ear headband was originally just an ordinary accessory, not some erotic prop, so he wasn’t ashamed to take photos. It was just that they had used it for bad things, so they inevitably felt guilty.

Putting those aside, the scene of the big one and the little one wearing cat ears with their heads touching was cute and happy.

Not long after, the cat ears on Jing Zhi’s head appeared on Jiang Suifeng’s head, and the person taking photos changed to Jing Zhi.

They all “grew” kitten ears and were a true family.

That night, Jing Mimi took a comfortable hot bath in the bathroom at home.

Jing Zhi and Jiang Suifeng didn’t dare to bathe with him, afraid he would discover the marks on their bodies, and specially chose the most covering pajamas.

If misunderstood as being scratched by some cat, a certain kitten would be angry again and definitely wouldn’t rest until the bad cat was caught.

Just like a certain bad bug before.

Jing Mimi slept very well that night without dreaming.

But when he woke up groggily in the morning, his little brain fantasized about his papas turning into cats too.

Three furry cats snuggling together, taking a particularly cute family portrait.

Waking from the dream, Jing Mimi turned his eyes and found his papas still lying in bed not up yet. He immediately pounced over and burrowed into the middle of their quilt.

Soon, both sides of his little face received a good morning kiss.

After breakfast, it was another Monday. Jiang Suifeng went to work. Jing Mimi couldn’t wait to take Brother Qiuqiu’s drawing to Little Tail’s house, his small satchel already on his body.

Just opening the door, a familiar figure appeared in his field of vision.

“Uncle!” Jing Mimi rushed over in surprise.

Zhu Shan stood at the door, looking down at his phone screen. Compared to some time ago, he was much thinner, and his face was a bit pale. But seeing Mimi, he still put on a gentle smile and perked up a bit.

Jing Zhi also walked over and said to Zhu Shan: “Mr. Zhu, is your health okay?”

Zhu Shan nodded. “Nothing serious, just got sick from the cold. During this time… someone took care of me.”

When saying the last sentence, it was obvious that his tone softened.

Obviously, a very important person.

“Uncle! Come to our house for lunch at noon! I’ll make cat ears for you to eat.” Jing Mimi clutched his clothes, looked up with his little head, and acted coquettishly.

He still remembered that uncompleted mission and sincerely wanted to invite the uncle to be a guest at home.

Although he didn’t know how to make cat ears, Brother Xiao Ze knew how, so he could definitely learn too! Besides, Papa would help him.

As long as he could get the uncle to visit and eat at home, he would do anything.

Zhu Shan smiled and rubbed his little head. “Uncle has an appointment at noon. She will come over later. Next time.”

“Then tonight,” Jing Mimi refused to give up. “Uncle doesn’t have an appointment tonight, right?”

Zhu Shan looked hesitant. Indeed, he only had an appointment at noon, not sure about the evening…

“Then it’s decided!” Jing Mimi acted first and reported later. “Uncle must come to eat the cat ears I make!”

Zhu Shan smiled helplessly and could only say “Okay.”

If it was just eating cat ears, he should be able to spare time.

Jing Zhi watched all this, his eyes slightly curved, saying nothing.

He originally wanted to invite Zhu Shan to be a guest at home too, and Miss Bai also wanted to invite him to dinner, but it could be seen that Zhu Shan was a somewhat awkward person. It wasn’t easy to invite him, so he could only let the little cub complete this task.

Hardly anyone could refuse a cute cub good at acting coquettishly.

Jing Mimi happily held Jing Zhi’s hand, walked into the elevator, and went downstairs.

Miss Bai’s home was a few buildings away from theirs, not too far. They arrived at the door shortly.

The apartment originally rented by Guo Shangjin had been re-listed by the landlord, but Miss Bai still installed a very high fence at her door.

Because of the tragedy of the previous cat, she could only be extra careful.

However, as soon as the door opened, the little orange cat jumped up agilely, jumping onto the fence taller than Jing Mimi.

The jumping ability of cats—not to be underestimated.

Moreover, it was originally a stray cat surviving in the wild with a fit body. The pain in its tail was much better, and this height couldn’t stop it at all.

Miss Bai: “…”

Well, the fence was bought in vain.

“Meow.” Meeting eyes, the little orange cat recognized the visitor and meowed happily. If it had a tail behind, it would definitely be held high.

Facing its golden eyes, Jing Mimi responded happily: “Meow!”

If he had a tail behind, it would definitely be held high too.

Watching the greetings of the two kittens, the two adults couldn’t help but laugh.

Miss Bai hugged the cat down while opening the fence to let Jing Zhi and Jing Mimi in.

Because of the recent matter with Guo Shangjin, Miss Bai took some leave and didn’t have to go to work these days, just right to accompany the kitten at home.

Walking into the home, Miss Bai poured water for the two and brought some prepared small desserts.

Jing Mimi gave the drawing to Miss Bai, ate a piece of small dessert, and played with the kitten.

There were many cat toys in Miss Bai’s home, all bought new after bringing Little Tail home.

Soon, Jing Mimi’s attention stopped on a strange thing. He reached out curiously to pick it up and turned to ask Papa and Miss Bai: “What is this?”

Jing Zhi looked closely. It turned out to be a “soul extractor”—a head massager. Jing Zhi hadn’t used it but knew a thing or two about it.

Seeing this, Miss Bai picked up another soul extractor from the table aside and handed it to Jing Zhi, saying: “That one is for cats, this one is for humans. Want to try it on Mimi?”

Jing Zhi took it with a smile, beckoned, hugged Jing Mimi into his arms, covered the top of his head with the soul extractor, and massaged.

On the other side, Miss Bai also picked up the other soul extractor and massaged the kitten’s head.

The kitten’s throat soon emitted a comfortable purring sound, and its eyes narrowed.

Jing Mimi also narrowed his eyes, feeling the kitten soul in his body was so comfortable it was about to leave his body.

If so, the soul of a little orange cat and the soul of a Scottish Fold cat would definitely meet in the air, greet each other cutely with “meow meow,” and touch tails.

After Jing Mimi died, it went to Planet Meow.

The God of Planet Meow said to it: Mimi, welcome to the Cat Paradise. All the cats here will be your new family.

Mimi let out a "meow" and burst into tears: I want Papa.

The soft-hearted Cat God eventually sent this crybaby kitten back to its fathers' side.

In exchange, Mimi had to assist the Cat God in fulfilling the wishes of the kittens on Planet Meow.

For example, placing a kitten's favorite foxtail grass at their owner's doorstep; rubbing a little hand cream on the hand of a human scratched by a kitten; or giving a gentle kiss to the owner's newborn baby...

**

On the day the cat they had raised together for many years passed away, after yet another argument, Jing Zhi broke down and asked to break up.

Not long after, Jing Zhi found a sleeping little cub at his doorstep.

The little cub didn't cry or fuss; he just loved to burrow into his arms.

Soon, he learned his very first sound: "Meow."

**

After a cooling-off period following the breakup, Jiang Suifeng finally returned from his business trip. The first thing he did was buy a bouquet of Jing Zhi's favorite Chinese roses to apologize and seek reconciliation.

Unexpectedly, from a distance, he saw his boyfriend holding a little cub in his arms. The cub was calling out "Papa" with every breath, and his appearance actually bore a resemblance to his boyfriend.

Jiang Suifeng felt like he had been struck by a bolt from the blue. His brain crashed, unable to think. The flowers in his hand fell to the ground as he strode swiftly up to Jing Zhi, his eyes red, demanding an explanation.

The little cub blinked his eyes, suddenly giggled at him, and called out "Papa" again.

Jing Zhi looked at him as well. "Don't you think he looks a bit like you, too?"
