Chapter 51 p1
“It will be tight…” Zhong Yuxiao snorted and snatched the underwear. “Then don’t wear it.”
Xi Shi froze. “???”
Zhong Yuxiao put the underwear in his pocket and walked towards the bathroom mercilessly. “By the way, there are no more new underwear in the closet, the rest are all mine.”
Xi Shi, who was about to get a new pair of underwear, froze and quickly chased after him. “Give me back the underwear.”
“No.”
Zhong Yuxiao closed the bathroom door and locked it. His playful voice clearly reached Xi Shi’s ears through the door. “You’ve been stripped of the right to wear new underwear.”
“Zhong Yuxiao!” Xi Shi pounded on the door furiously.
“If you don’t want to go commando, you can wear mine.” Zhong Yuxiao paused, his tone teasing. “But they might be a bit loose on you, little one. Don’t let your butt show.”
Xi Shi: “…”
Fuck, fuck, fuck!
When Zhong Yuxiao came out of the bathroom, Xi Shi was already in bed, glaring at him, his expression unpleasant.
He was wearing Zhong Yuxiao’s pajamas, the top unbuttoned, revealing his collarbone. He was slender, his chest thin, a different kind of charm compared to a grown man.
Zhong Yuxiao dried his hair, took out the hairdryer, and called out to him. “Come and dry your hair.”
Xi Shi didn’t move.
“What, afraid your underwear will fall off?”
A pillow was thrown at him, followed by Xi Shi’s cursing. “Get lost!”
Zhong Yuxiao caught the pillow steadily, his eyes curving into a smile. “Or are you not wearing any?”
Xi Shi suddenly pounced on him and pinned him to the bed. The hairdryer fell onto the bed, and Xi Shi grabbed his shoulders, shaking him. “What kind of pervert are you? Get off my pure and innocent little rice ball!”
The soft and glutinous little rice ball had not only turned black, but also yellow.
Xi Shi lamented, “Tell me, what kind of monster are you?”
Zhong Yuxiao protected his back and patted it. “Get off, you’ll get the bed wet.”
His hair hadn’t been dried and was dripping wet, his eyes moist. Xi Shi saw a softness in his eyes that he hadn’t seen for years, and the current Zhong Yuxiao gradually overlapped with the little rice ball from ten years ago.
Xi Shi sat on the edge of the bed, and Zhong Yuxiao plugged in the hairdryer, lifting his hair and drying it bit by bit. “Why did you dye your hair blonde?”
“Because it looks good.” Xi Shi tilted his head up. His dried hair became fluffy, and his youthful energy surged.
“What do you think?”
Xi Shi had fair skin, and the blonde hair suited him, making him look like a prince from a fairytale.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you mesmerized by my handsomeness?” Xi Shi was very proud, looking like he was asking, “Why am I so handsome?”
Zhong Yuxiao couldn’t stand it. “You look like a delinquent.”
Xi Shi: “…”
Zhong Yuxiao turned off the hairdryer and ruffled his hair. “Done.”
“Aren’t you drying your hair?”
“I’ll do it in the bathroom.”
Xi Shi snatched the hairdryer. “Sit down, I’ll do it for you.”
“No need.”
“What, are you afraid that if I touch your hair, you won’t grow taller?”
Zhong Yuxiao sat down immediately.
It was Xi Shi’s first time drying someone else’s hair. He wasn’t very skilled, and kept the hairdryer pointed at one spot, making Zhong Yuxiao’s scalp hurt.
“Am I doing a good job?” Xi Shi asked expectantly.
Zhong Yuxiao was silent for a few seconds, then nodded slightly.
“Then I’ll dry your hair for you from now on.”
“…”
That wasn’t necessary.
After drying his hair, Zhong Mu had someone bring warm milk and an extra blanket.
Xi Shi was playing a game on his phone when he looked up and asked, “Isn’t there already a blanket?”
Zhong Yuxiao finished a glass of milk and handed the other to him. “One blanket each.”
“I don’t drink milk.” Xi Shi refused, he didn’t like the taste of milk. “Why do we need one blanket each? We’ve slept together before.”
Zhong Yuxiao paused, his grip on the glass tightening.
Sleeping together was something they did when they were little. During nap time in kindergarten, Xi Shi would always run to Zhong Yuxiao’s room with a small pillow, climb into his little bed, and they would sleep together under one blanket.
At first, the teacher would try to separate them, but later, she got used to it and simply moved their beds together.
Zhong Yuxiao put down the glass and unfolded the blanket. “I don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night and find a naked man in my bed.”
It took Xi Shi a few seconds to react, and he cursed, “Fuck!”
Zhong Yuxiao gave him a meaningful look. “So, are you wearing underwear or not?”
“…None of your business!”
His mouth felt weird after drinking milk, so Zhong Yuxiao brushed his teeth again.
Xi Shi was still playing games, the sound effects of gunshots crackling. He occasionally said something to his phone, seeming to be communicating with his teammates.
Zhong Yuxiao flipped through a book, his eyes fixed on the pale yellow pages, but his mind wasn’t on the words. “What game are you playing?”
“PUBG.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Xi Shi was shot by someone hiding in the grass. “Fuck, my teammates are idiots.”
Zhong Yuxiao casually flipped through the book, his gaze on the pages but not reading a single word. “Are you playing with your friends?”
Xi Shi glanced at him. “No, playing solo.”
“Then play with me.”
Xi Shi was stunned, then looked at him intently.
“You don’t play games, why are you looking at me?”
“What’s so interesting about books? I can see that you have the makings of a gaming prodigy. Young man, do you want to eat chicken together?”
Zhong Yuxiao didn’t look up, flipping a page. “Not interested.”
“Just play with me.” Xi Shi looked at him pitifully.
Zhong Yuxiao was exasperated. “Have some shame, you’re acting like a child.”
What was wrong with acting coquettishly to get what you want?
Xi Shi forced a cute voice, “Little Yuanxiao~”
“…”
“Okay, stop.” Zhong Yuxiao put down his book and threw his phone at him. “You play.”
Xi Shi instantly smiled. “What’s your phone password?”
“0221.”
He entered the password, and the phone unlocked successfully.
Xi Shi raised an eyebrow. “0221, why is your password the same as my birthday?”
Zhong Yuxiao choked. “I just set it randomly, it has nothing to do with you.”
“Really?” Xi Shi looked at him suspiciously, not sure if he believed him or not.
Zhong Yuxiao hesitated and silently tightened his grip on the book.
The game was quickly downloaded. Xi Shi directly registered an account with Zhong Yuxiao’s phone number. “What name should I use?”
“Whatever.”
“Then I’ll choose one for you.”
Xi Shi’s eyes darted around, his lips curling upwards slightly, and he typed a few words. “Done. I’ll invite you, let’s team up. I’ll show you how to play.”
Zhong Yuxiao hummed. “Are you any good at this game?”
“I’m alright. Why?”
They had already added each other as friends, and Xi Shi sent a team invitation.
Zhong Yuxiao accepted. “Afraid you’ll make me lose.”
On the screen, two characters wearing the same floral shirts were standing together, like a couple. Zhong Yuxiao belatedly discovered a problem: his character’s gender was wrong. It was a woman.
“We won’t lose, don’t worry.”
Xi Shi clicked “start matching,” and their characters entered the plane. Zhong Yuxiao watched for a while before suddenly asking, “Why am I not a guy?”
“Huh, you’re a girl?” Xi Shi pretended to be surprised.
Zhong Yuxiao looked at him intently. “You did that on purpose.”
“Little sister, how can you talk to your older brother like that? If you talk like that again, I’ll leave you behind as a shield when we run into danger.”
Zhong Yuxiao silently rolled his eyes. This kind of asshole of a brother was rare in the world.
They were matched with two random players. One of them, whose nickname was “Don’t Talk to Your Brother,” spoke. “Hello, dear teammates, where are we jumping?”
