Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 75: Asking About the Situation

For a moment, Lian Li was also undecided. He looked at Yun Huizhou, his eyes silently asking for his Senior Brother’s opinion.

Yun Huizhou was cold and ruthless. “Take her to the outskirts and kill her. There are plenty of flesh-eating beasts there; I guarantee not even a corpse will be found by tomorrow.”

Seeing how decisively Yun Huizhou spoke, the woman completely panicked. With a flick of her hand, she fired three hidden weapons—one each for Yun Huizhou, Lian Li, and the little tyrant on the ground.

Lian Li shifted his steps and dodged easily. Yun Huizhou, however, did not move an inch. Before the hidden weapons could even touch his clothes, they were shaken to the ground by his internal energy, including the one aimed at the little tyrant.

Realizing her sneak attack had failed and that Yun Huizhou had neutralized the crisis without even moving, the woman’s face instantly turned deathly pale.

She had originally intended to use the hidden weapons to force Yun Huizhou back so she could seize the little tyrant as a hostage and escape. Now, that chance was completely gone.

Moreover, because she had attacked again, they no longer needed to find a reason to kill her; doing so was now perfectly justified.

“This little beast’s family is in league with the nest of mountain bandits on Xiyang Mountain! They plague the villages near the mountain. It doesn’t matter if you kill me; it was my idea to try and sow discord between you, hoping to use your hands to wipe out that nest of bandits.”

“But that nest of bandits truly commits many evils; they absolutely cannot be let off. If they are allowed to grow, they will eventually plague this town. This little beast’s father met the manager of those bandits half a year ago, and they have already secretly harmed several young girls and young men from the remote villages.”

“If you loathe me for scheming against you, then kill me to vent your anger. I only beg that you wipe out those bandits and give the nearby villages a way to live.”

Having said this, the woman completely dropped her previous act of playing the victim. She closed her eyes, wearing an expression of one seeking death.

Lian Li looked at Yun Huizhou, who also turned to look at him at that moment.

Lian Li knew that Yun Huizhou currently had no intention of killing the woman for the time being. If what she said was true, then the nest of bandits on Xiyang Mountain was likely the type that deserved to be eradicated.

Yun Huizhou sheathed his blade. The woman opened her eyes, a hint of relief from surviving a disaster flickering within them. Just as she was about to speak, Yun Huizhou tapped her acupoints. Lian Li followed suit by tapping her Mute Acupoint.

“Let’s send this little tyrant back first,” Lian Li said. “To deal with his family, we should first wipe out the bandits and get evidence before we act.”

Yun Huizhou nodded, agreeing with Lian Li’s reasoning.

After telling Lian Li the address of the little tyrant’s home, Lian Li picked up the child and headed toward the place Yun Huizhou had described.

About fifteen minutes later, Lian Li returned after dropping off the little tyrant. The two of them looked at the woman, who could neither move nor speak.

“Take her to the outskirts to ask about the situation.” Seeing that Yun Huizhou had no intention of taking the lead, Lian Li thought for a moment and then voiced his idea.

Yun Huizhou did not object. He picked up the large sack from the ground, stuffed the woman inside, and then the two of them carried the bag as they flew toward the edge of town.

Their Lightness Skill was countless times better than the woman’s unrefined style. Like two graceful birds, they streaked across the sky and plunged into the woods on the outskirts.

Finding a secluded spot, Yun Huizhou opened the bag and dumped the woman out. His movements were not at all gentle or considerate of her beauty.

Given Yun Huizhou’s personality, if you didn’t provoke him, he was actually quite easy to get along with.

It was just like when Lian Li first met him; even though Lian Li had shamelessly pestered him, Yun Huizhou hadn’t said much and had actually taken quite good care of him.

But if someone provoked him from the start—like this woman, who had directly schemed against him—then Yun Huizhou’s attitude would be very poor.

Lian Li felt that if this woman had simply come to their door from the beginning, explained the situation, and asked for their help, Yun Huizhou would certainly have agreed, and Lian Li would have chosen to help without hesitation.

But unfortunately, the woman had used the wrong method from the start.

Even Lian Li, the more soft-hearted of the two, had been annoyed by her actions, let alone Yun Huizhou.

Lian Li crouched down and unsealed the woman’s Mute Acupoint. The woman lay on the ground looking at the two of them, her gaze filled with a hint of unease.

In the middle of the night, in the deserted outskirts.

Two men and a woman who was paralyzed by tapped acupoints yet possessed great beauty.

This scene was indeed enough to make any woman uneasy, fearing they might have improper intentions.

Lian Li also felt this was quite inappropriate. He nudged Yun Huizhou with his shoulder and said, “Hurry up and ask. Let’s settle this quickly so we can set out early. I’ve already thought about what we should do next.”

Since they had come out, it was basically Yun Huizhou who decided where to go and which path to take, then informed Lian Li.

Lian Li simply followed him. This was the first time Lian Li had said he had a place he wanted to go or something he wanted to do.

However, Yun Huizhou felt it was good that Lian Li had a place he wanted to go, lest it seem like the boy was merely accompanying him to wander the Jianghu.

His mood having improved slightly, Yun Huizhou’s expression didn’t change much when facing the woman, but she keenly sensed that this powerful Great Hero in front of her seemed a bit easier to talk to now.

Seeing that Yun Huizhou hadn’t spoken for a long time, Lian Li gave him a puzzled look. Unexpectedly, Yun Huizhou simply shrugged and said, “You ask.”

Lian Li pointed at himself. “I’m asking?”

Yun Huizhou nodded, stepped back a few paces, leaned lazily against a tree trunk, and closed his eyes to rest.

Seeing him like this, Lian Li knew this man was determined to leave the interrogation to him.

He had realized that since coming here, Yun Huizhou was consciously letting him take the lead in their upcoming actions.

Lian Li understood; this was Yun Huizhou giving him an internship.

Although nothing major would generally happen as long as he stayed by Yun Huizhou’s side, they were two separate people, not conjoined twins. In case an accident separated them, he would have to rely on his own judgment and decisions.

Lian Li also felt that since coming out, he spent most of his time doing whatever Yun Huizhou told him to do. He seemed a bit too dependent on the other man, which was not a good sign.

Once he understood this, Lian Li no longer hesitated. He looked at the woman and asked, “Tell us everything you know about the bandits on Xiyang Mountain. How many people are there, and what is the approximate level of the strongest among them?”

The woman opened her mouth to speak, but Lian Li took the opportunity to shove a pill directly into her mouth.

“Poison. It only takes effect after ten days. If you deceive or frame us, wait ten days and you will die as your entire body rots away.”

After saying this, Lian Li sat on the ground, his head slightly raised, looking down at the woman with lowered eyes.

The woman was naturally not intimidated by his appearance, but she was wary of the pill Lian Li had forced her to swallow.

She could only honestly recount the information she knew.
