Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 85: It Really Is Quite Intimate

Young Master Wang caught his breath for a moment and said, “Who do you think you are? Since when do you get to manage who Young Master Lian makes friends with?”

As he spoke, he made a gesture. The guards by his side rushed forward, surrounding the two of them, looking ready to strike.

Yun Huizhou remained expressionless. He slowly drew his blade, his eyes fixed on Young Master Wang.

Lian Li frowned. He didn’t know why Yun Huizhou’s reaction was so intense, but that didn’t stop him from blindly taking his side. “I never said I wanted to be friends with you.”

Young Master Wang stared at Lian Li and Yun Huizhou for a long while, the expression on his face shifting repeatedly. Finally, he spoke: “I am a member of the Wang family from Linjiu City. Our family possesses immense wealth. Young Master Lian, are you sure you won’t follow me?”

Now Lian Li understood why Yun Huizhou had suddenly kicked the man across the room.

“My ass I will!”

Lian Li lashed out with his whip immediately.

Young Master Wang scrambled backward in a hurry. His guards moved in, shielding him behind them.

However, even as he hid in the back, his mouth didn’t stay idle. “Young Master Lian, my intentions toward you are sincere! As long as you follow me, you’ll have a life of luxury with fine clothes and gourmet food. Isn’t that better than wandering the world and sleeping in the wild with this guy?”

“A beauty needs to be pampered. Can that brat give you more than I can? I am a thousand, a hundred times better than him. Young Master Lian, don’t drop the watermelon just to pick up a sesame seed.”

“And you, kid—if you know what’s good for you, disappear quickly. Only I can give Young Master Lian what he wants.”

Hearing Young Master Wang’s drivel, Lian Li cursed him as a “stinking dumbass” several times in his head. The hell he will! What kind of thing thinks he’s worthy of saying such words to me?

And “only he can give me what I want”? Does he even know what I want?

In what way was Yun Huizhou not better than this stinking, mediocre, yet overconfident piece of trash?

Even putting them in the same comparison was an insult to Yun Huizhou.

Lian Li gripped his whip, lashing out to clear the surrounding guards before charging straight for Young Master Wang.

He couldn’t whip Yun Huizhou, but couldn’t he give this pampered young master a beating? Today, he was going to thrash this man until he ran away at the mere sight of him.

Lian Li fought with ferocity, showing no mercy. Furthermore, Yun Huizhou had no intention of standing idly by.

The two of them quickly drove Young Master Wang’s group away. Before leaving, Young Master Wang was still shouting threats: “It’s your blessing that this Young Master took a fancy to you! To be so ungrateful… you clearly don’t have the fate to enjoy good fortune!”

Lian Li hooked a stool and hurled it over, accompanied by his roar: “Get lost, you stinking dumbass! You mediocre, overconfident man! Take your pathetic self-esteem and get out of my sight! Don’t you dare show your face in front of me again, or I’ll beat you every time I see you! I’ll even break your third leg!”

“Who do you think you are? Blessing my ass! I think you’re a jinx! Scram! You unlucky thing, looking at you for one more second feels like my eyes are being contaminated!”

Lian Li didn’t stop at one stool. His internal energy surged; any tables or chairs near him that weren’t occupied were swept up by his whip and hurled toward Young Master Wang.

His display caused the furniture, already teetering from the fight, to shatter completely.

Young Master Wang’s group was pelted by this “heavenly maiden scattering flowers” style of chaotic projectiles, eventually fleeing the restaurant in a pathetic state.

Then came the even more frustrating part. Because they weren’t among the group that had fled early, they had to pay the shopkeeper for the broken tables and chairs.

Lian Li’s face twisted with anger, but he still honestly pulled out silver to compensate the shopkeeper.

Carrying their breakfast, the two of them left the restaurant under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

Thinking about the money he just paid, Lian Li finally realized another essential expense for a swordsman in the Jianghu.

Compensation after a fight.

When they returned to their room at the inn to eat breakfast, for some reason, both of them felt a bit uneasy.

While eating, the two of them were uncharacteristically silent, not speaking to one another.

Yun Huizhou didn’t know why his reaction had been so sudden and intense when he realized Young Master Wang’s intentions.

Others wouldn’t know; they would just think it was normal for him to kick the man out, especially since he hadn’t actually wounded him.

But he knew himself. At the moment he delivered that kick, he had used ten-tenths of his internal energy.

If he hadn’t reacted in time to withdraw his energy, the Wang family guards would likely be digging a hole to bury Young Master Wang right now.

He hated that Young Master Wang, just as he slightly hated Su Jun.

Except, he hated Young Master Wang a bit more.

He thought to himself: Taking this kid out is truly a hassle. At first, I had to guard against women at the Su family, and now I have to guard against men.

With so many temptations, would this kid be able to focus on the martial path in the future?

If he got distracted by these matters and ended up failing to even reach the level of a First-class Master, it would be a true disgrace to Drunken Dream Island.

It would also break the record for the lowest martial arts level in Drunken Dream Island’s history.

Especially since he was teaching this kid personally; if that happened, he would be disgraced along with him.

No, I still have to keep a close eye on him.

Just as he was thinking this, he suddenly saw Lian Li, who was halfway through his meal, stand up.

“What’s wrong?” Yun Huizhou asked.

“Washing my hands.” Without looking back, Lian Li poured the spare water in the room into a basin and submerged his hands.

Yun Huizhou was puzzled. He followed him over and said, “Why not wait until you’re finished eating to wash?”

Lian Li looked up at him, pouting slightly, looking a bit aggrieved and a bit disgusted.

“I just remembered… when that guy named Wang first approached, he touched my hand.”

Yun Huizhou: “…”

Yun Huizhou fell silent for a moment. He pulled a cloth from the wooden rack, soaked it in the basin, and draped it over Lian Li’s hands. Just as he was about to help Lian Li give them a good scrub, he suddenly felt that something was very strange.

This hesitation caused his movements to stop.

Both of their hands were soaked in the basin. Through the thin cloth in the cold water, they felt the temperature of each other’s hands. It was clearly a normal body temperature, yet at this moment, it felt scorchingly hot.

For some reason, Yun Huizhou suddenly recalled the line written in the Beauty Ranking booklet: “Maintains an intimate relationship with his Senior Brother.”

It seemed… they hadn’t written it wrong. They really did seem a bit too intimate. What kind of Senior Brother helps a seventeen-year-old Junior Brother wash his hands?

Thus, Yun Huizhou abruptly yanked his hands back and returned to the table to pick up his chopsticks.

He looked at the table full of breakfast, but for some reason, he found it difficult to swallow.

Lian Li was left completely bewildered by Yun Huizhou’s sudden care followed by sudden coldness. The wet cloth was still draped over the back of his hand, carrying the lingering warmth of Yun Huizhou’s palm.

Lian Li felt something was off. Yun Huizhou was acting weird.

He quickly dried his hands and sat back in his seat.

Seeing Yun Huizhou frowning while stuffing food into his mouth—shoving the next bite in before he even had time to swallow the last, until his cheeks puffed out, Lian Li grabbed the hand that was trying to continue stuffing food and asked, “What is wrong with you?”

Lian Li grabbed the hand that was trying to continue stuffing food and asked, “What is wrong with you?”

Yun Huizhou stopped his movements. He chewed quickly a few times, swallowed everything in his mouth, and then moved the hand Lian Li was holding. He asked a nonsensical question: “Do you want to wash your hands?”
