Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 31: Acting Spoiled Part 2

Wait.

As soon as the words left his mouth, Tao Zhi suddenly felt something was off.

But he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what.

He frowned and thought about it.

“You can,” Fu Si Heng’s voice came first, before he figured it out.

Tao Zhi looked up.

Putting the puzzling thought aside for now, Tao Zhi revealed a brilliant, cute smile upon hearing this.

Great, great. Finally, no more kissing.

Starting from last night, their intimate contacts had been frequent. As a pure straight guy, Tao Zhi really couldn’t handle it.

Fortunately, it was finally over now.

The dimples on Tao Zhi’s cheeks sank even deeper than usual.

He let out a breath of relief, stood to say goodbye and leave, but was suddenly stopped by Fu Si Heng.

“Hm?” Tao Zhi turned his head.

“So, what is our relationship now?” Fu Si Heng needed a clear answer.

Tao Zhi: “…”

It had come after all.

He had dodged the topic earlier, planning to brush it off, but Fu Si Heng asked directly.

Tao Zhi didn’t really want to answer, but he knew if he didn’t, he probably wouldn’t leave the media room today.

So difficult.

He couldn’t dodge it anymore.

Tao Zhi sighed.

“It’s… what you think it is.” Tao Zhi opened his mouth with difficulty, his gaze drifting a bit.

Actually, this answer was still evasive.

But Fu Si Heng didn’t press him further.

Because this response from Tao Zhi was equivalent to admitting he was his wife.

Fu Si Heng was certain.

It seemed he needed to come out to the family at some point, and also to Tao Zhi’s parents.

Things had developed far beyond what Fu Si Heng had originally planned. His initial plan for the New Year’s trip was just to see what Fu Zheng and Tao Zhi were up to.

And to check out Tao Zhi along the way.

There might be unexpected situations, but the one proposing to confirm their relationship wouldn’t be him.

It would be Tao Zhi taking the initiative.

That had been Fu Si Heng’s previous thinking.

Now, everything had changed.

Getting along with Tao Zhi felt great; Tao Zhi was very cute.

He didn’t mind taking things further.

What he had said in Tao Zhi’s room that morning had been to tease him at the time, but now he thought making it reality would be nice too.

Since he felt that way.

Then Tao Zhi’s phrase “what you think” wasn’t just about dating.

It was dating with marriage in mind.

“Alright.” Fu Si Heng was very satisfied with this.

“…”

“Oh.” Tao Zhi scratched his nose tip and headed for the door.

For some reason, he always felt a bit uneasy, but he couldn’t say why. After thinking, it seemed like it was just…

At the door, Tao Zhi suddenly stopped.

“Brother Fu.” Tao Zhi called out to him.

The little rabbit hadn’t bolted immediately, which surprised him.

Fu Si Heng raised a brow.

“I have a question too.” Tao Zhi’s expression was a bit hesitant.

He hemmed and hawed for a while before speaking. “In the future… will it often be like today?”

Fu Si Heng: “What do you mean? I don’t understand.”

Tao Zhi: “…”

Tao Zhi had thin skin, and Fu Si Heng was a bad guy who loved bullying honest little boys.

He pretended not to understand vague words, forcing Tao Zhi to say it himself with a red face.

“Will there be a lot of kissing in the future?” Tao Zhi curled his toes, enduring the shame to ask.

The bad-hearted old man smiled obviously when he heard the word “kiss.”

He nodded pretentiously. “Of course.”

Tao Zhi: “…”

So difficult.

Really so difficult!

Was this retribution for his misdeeds?

Tao Zhi sniffled.

“Don’t worry, I remember what I promised you,” Fu Si Heng said with interest. “Before marriage, I won’t sleep with you.”

Tao Zhi: “…”

“I’m leaving…” Tao Zhi didn’t want to continue.

He ducked his head and ran off, ignoring Fu Si Heng behind him.

Even when closing the door, he could still hear his muffled laughter.

…Really annoying.

An hour later, Fu Zheng brought pizza to find Tao Zhi.

Tao Zhi obediently opened the door for him, and the two ate pizza in the room.

To Tao Zhi’s surprise, he had thought Fu Zheng would use this time to brief him on next steps, like how to continue seducing Fu Si Heng.

After all, there was still more than a day left.

They couldn’t waste it.

But Fu Zheng didn’t mention Fu Si Heng’s name once throughout.

He said he came to eat, and it really was just eating—no unrelated topics.

He didn’t ask about progress or blame Tao Zhi for slacking. Remarkably quietly, he finished eating, then asked Tao Zhi if he liked the pizza’s taste.

Tao Zhi was dumbfounded and nodded.

Fu Zheng coolly hummed in acknowledgment and began cleaning up the trash on the table.

The sight stunned Tao Zhi.

When had the young master ever done such a thing? From the moment they met, Tao Zhi had practically fed him. Him? Cleaning trash?

Seeing this, Tao Zhi’s scalp tingled. He hurried to help… no, stop him. But Fu Zheng got unhappy instead.

With an displeased expression, he told him not to move.

Tao Zhi: “…”

For a moment, Tao Zhi thought he might be fired. He mentally calculated how to stretch his remaining money.

He looked at Fu Zheng blankly, helplessly, and sadly. “Fu Zheng, are you firing me? Because you think I’ve been slacking lately? I haven’t, I have a lot of progre—”

Tao Zhi panicked and planned to spill everything recent.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
