Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 47: Like Part 2

“Get lost.” Fu Si Heng pinched his brow.

Fu Zheng did not want to stay with him either. He took the money and turned to leave.

But at the door, his steps suddenly stopped, and for some reason, he scanned Fu Si Heng’s house once.

He felt something was off, but could not pinpoint what.

Fu Si Heng gave the money readily, and even when Fu Zheng took two bottles of wine on the way out, he said nothing, as if hiding a secret and urging him to leave.

A sense of crisis suddenly surged in Fu Zheng, but he could not find its source.

“What’s wrong, want to stay the night?” Fu Si Heng’s mocking voice sounded from behind.

Maybe just an illusion.

Fu Zheng frowned, opened the door, and left.

After he left, Fu Si Heng returned to the living room and happened to see Tao Zhi poking his head out from the second-floor railing, blinking at Fu Si Heng.

Cute little rabbit.

Fu Si Heng’s mood improved again.

It was time to claim a reward from the little rabbit for his help.

Fu Si Heng thought.

At four in the afternoon, Tao Zhi finally returned to school.

He only had Fu Si Heng drop him at the school gate. After watching Fu Si Heng leave, he immediately went to the hotel across the street, got a room by the hour, changed into his own clothes, and then pushed the luggage back to the dorm.

There were still two days until school started, and many people had already returned early. The university campus, quiet over the holiday, gradually regained its liveliness.

Tao Zhi thought that if anyone was in the dorm now, it should be the two senior roommates. Fu Zheng lived locally and might only come on the first day of school.

But reality was completely opposite to what he thought.

The seniors were not in the dorm; the one who came early was Fu Zheng.

Tao Zhi opened the door and saw Fu Zheng, stunned.

Fu Zheng was also stunned.

He had thought Tao Zhi might return early, but not that he would see him today.

Tao Zhi suddenly appeared before him, and Fu Zheng’s heart beat very fast.

Thump thump.

As if it would jump out of his chest.

Fu Zheng opened his mouth.

After more than half a month without seeing Tao Zhi, he had missed him quite a bit.

Especially during this time, to confirm if he was gay, he deliberately ignored and avoided Tao Zhi.

To be honest, Fu Zheng was struggling with this.

He was a perfectly straight guy who suddenly turned gay. No matter how he thought about it, it was strange.

He deliberately did not contact him, not only to figure it out but also to see if he could straighten himself back out.

The effect was minimal.

Giving him the cold shoulder did not work at all; instead, he kept thinking of Tao Zhi. For example, yesterday at the stables, he had almost fallen because he was thinking of him.

Fortunately, his skills were good, though it scared his mom half to death and made her tell him to get back quickly.

Fu Zheng felt no one could understand his troubles.

The main reason he wanted to ‘straighten’ himself out was that he did not understand why he liked Tao Zhi.

Because of spending time together?

But he had spent time with his bros before and never had this tendency.

How did he bend out of nowhere?

He still needed Tao Zhi to help seduce his brother.

Damn.

In that case, didn’t that make him a fool?

Fu Zheng really could not accept the foolish things he had done, like letting the person he liked seduce his brother.

For him now, admitting he liked Tao Zhi was equal to admitting he was a fool.

He was struggling.

For this half month, he endured hard, not contacting or paying attention.

Now he finally saw him again.

No.

Hold it together.

He had to hold it together.

He could not just bend like this.

If he ‘bent’, he would be a fool, a clown, carrying an indelible black mark forever. Even if only he and Tao Zhi knew.

But Fu Zheng could not get over the hurdle in his heart.

What had he done to the person he liked?

Coercing and luring Tao Zhi to dress as a girl to seduce his brother.

Taking those seductive photos for his brother.

He was just short of sending Tao Zhi to his brother’s bed.

In fact, if he had not sensed something wrong at New Year’s, he might have really done it.

Fu Zheng knew he was not a good person—

“Fu Zheng, long time no see.” After a brief shock, Tao Zhi greeted Fu Zheng and closed the door as he entered the dorm.

The door closed, and he looked up at Fu Zheng with a smile.

It was a very sincere and polite smile, and also very heartwarming.

His lips curved up, his eyes were clear, and he had cute dimples.

Fu Zheng: “…”

Fu Zheng felt as if his thumping heart had been suddenly pierced.

Instantly, his breath caught, and his heart beat even faster.

Thump thump.

It really would jump out.

“I brought some local specialties, not sure if you’ll like them.” Tao Zhi squatted on the ground and opened his luggage.

Inside, besides clothes, there was a big bag of plastic bags.

Tao Zhi unpacked them.

“These are green plums my family sun-dried. The tea is also grown by my family. I’m not sure if you’ll like it. This one is bought, and this too.” Tao Zhi took them out one by one. He had brought a lot.

Fu Zheng stared at him blankly.

Oh.

This one was for Fu Si Heng. He’d forgotten.

Tao Zhi quietly tucked it back away.

“That’s all!” Tao Zhi said: “I didn’t know what you might not like, so if there’s anything you don’t want, you can give it back to me—”

“I like them!” Fu Zheng quickly spoke.

Tao Zhi blinked, then smiled: “Okay.”

He put them all on Fu Zheng’s desk.

Fine.

Gay it was.

Fool it was.

No other way.

Falling for Tao Zhi was understandable; who could blame him when Tao Zhi was so cute, obedient, gentle, and compliant.

And bringing him specialties…

Wasn’t all of this just seducing him into liking him?

After struggling for half a month, Fu Zheng finally accepted that he was a fool and could face his past mistakes calmly.

Now the top priority was to remedy it.

“So,” Fu Zheng suddenly grabbed Tao Zhi’s arm. “You don’t need to do what we agreed on before.”

Fu Zheng’s expression was awkward. “Delete Fu Si Heng.”

“Right now.”

Tao Zhi: “?”

With a clatter.

The thing in his hand fell to the ground, and Tao Zhi’s expression turned panicked.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
