Chapter 51: Hiding Part 1

Tao Zhi stared at Fu Si Heng in a daze, confusion evident in his eyes, but Fu Si Heng did not respond. He simply continued to lower his head and suck on Tao Zhi’s soft lips.

Tao Zhi pondered it for a moment on his own.

He could not figure it out, but a tingling shiver spread through his chest. Tao Zhi snapped back to reality, pursed his lips, raised his hand, and grabbed Fu Si Heng’s hand to pull it away.

“Enough, enough…” The one who had done something naughty was clearly the older man, yet the one who felt shy and embarrassed was Tao Zhi.

Why did he always have to… touch him there?

So weird.

Tao Zhi’s eyelashes trembled slightly.

“Not good at all,” Fu Si Heng expressed his dissatisfaction.

He was truly jealous.

Jealous enough that he wanted to devour the little fool whole. His teeth itched, and Fu Si Heng wanted to bite his lips. Tao Zhi anticipated it and quickly turned his head away, pressing his high nose bridge against Fu Si Heng’s soft, tender cheek. Fu Si Heng rubbed against it affectionately.

The cheek was fragrant too.

Though it carried the scent of makeup powder, Tao Zhi was different from others.

Very fragrant. He loved kissing it—could never get enough.

The little bunny was just too adorable.

The older man’s hot breath sprayed across his face, dyeing his fair skin with a faint blush. Pinching his chin, Fu Si Heng said, “Hiding? Let’s kiss a bit longer?”

“No more kissing.” Tao Zhi panted slightly, his chest heaving. “Your mom is about to come.”

This was real, not an excuse.

They had not come here to rest but to drop off their luggage and check out the log cabins over the water. Soon, Xu Yujia would come looking for him to go out and play.

He could not let Fu Si Heng keep kissing him, or they would be caught red-handed.

With that thought, Tao Zhi pushed at Fu Si Heng. “Fu Bro, you should go.”

His cheek was nipped.

Fu Si Heng caught the soft flesh of Tao Zhi’s cheek between his teeth, nibbling and sucking on it until a mark appeared.

Tao Zhi: “…?”

Sometimes he really could not understand how a mature man like Fu Si Heng could be so clingy.

Even high school sweethearts were not like this. Fu Si Heng always wanted to hold him, kiss him, stay close, and maintain physical contact.

“Fu Bro.” Tao Zhi reminded him softly.

Fu Si Heng hummed in acknowledgment and finally released him.

But a faint tooth mark remained on Tao Zhi’s face. He reached up to touch it, felt it, and looked bewildered. “How could you leave a mark…”

“No big deal,” Fu Si Heng said. “It’ll fade soon.”

“Really?” Tao Zhi confirmed with him, rubbing his cheek with his fingers.

Fu Si Heng hummed again and pecked his lips.

Tao Zhi: “…”

Tao Zhi was genuinely worried about himself.

He hoped Fu Si Heng did not actually like him, or breaking up later would be a problem.

Sigh, we’ll deal with it later.

Tao Zhi suppressed his inner worries and prepared to push Fu Si Heng out the door when a knock sounded at the door.

“Mian Mian?” Xu Yujia’s voice came from outside. “Have you put your things away? Let’s go—Auntie will take you horseback riding.”

“?!”

Tao Zhi panicked instantly.

He looked at Fu Si Heng beside him, mouth agape, and whispered, “Your mom’s at the door—what do we do?”

“What do we do?”

Fu Si Heng did not take it seriously at all and moved to open the door. Tao Zhi hurriedly grabbed his arm.

He definitely could not let him go out like this—how would he explain why his older brother was in his room?

Tao Zhi shook his head and glanced around the room, failing to find a suitable hiding spot for Fu Si Heng.

The closet was a bit too small.

Xu Yujia: “Mian Mian?”

“Auntie, wait a moment!” Tao Zhi shouted toward the door.

“Okay.” Xu Yujia was puzzled but stopped knocking.

Tao Zhi scurried around the room searching for a hiding place for Fu Si Heng.

The log cabin was not large, with a simple layout—one glance took in the whole room.

Tao Zhi’s gaze lingered on the bed for a moment, then the window, bad ideas popping into his head one after another.

He gripped the windowsill and looked back at Fu Si Heng.

The meaning was obvious.

Fu Si Heng: “…”

Fu Si Heng met his gaze calmly.

They both fell silent.

Tao Zhi felt a bit guilty—his initial idea had been to make Fu Si Heng jump into the river and escape.

How could he think that?

Tao Zhi silently scolded himself and ultimately chose the closet in the room.

It was really small.

Tao Zhi opened it and felt uneasy.

He tried to persuade Fu Si Heng. “Will this work? Please, just this once.”

“You said you’d help me keep it a secret earlier.”

Fu Si Heng: “Helping you keep a secret doesn’t mean I have to hide in the closet like a mistress.”

“…That’s not exactly it,” Tao Zhi muttered softly.

In this messy situation, it was hard to say who the “mistress” was.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
