Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 32 Part 1

Old Zheng arrived quickly, but he did not come alone; five or six people followed behind him.

Among them were two elderly gentlemen, Kang Zeyu and Cui Ran, a monk wearing a cassock, and remarkably, Zhang Shaoyi.

Chu Yi smiled faintly: These people sure gathered together.

Old Zheng, however, paid no attention to that. As soon as he entered, he rushed toward Zheng Danrui and asked, “Xiao Rui, where is the doctor you said could save your father and brothers?”

He knew his granddaughter was not one to speak without reason, so even with so many guests at the exhibition, he had abandoned them without hesitation to come over.

Zheng Danrui felt a bit awkward: “Grandpa, you misunderstood. It’s not a doctor! It’s… this young brother here. He said Dad and the others were afflicted by a curse.”

She was aware of her awkward position. Previously, her two elder brothers and their children had fallen ill one after another with strange ailments, and some people claimed that she, as an adopted daughter, had poisoned the rightful heirs to seize the Zheng Family’s assets.

Even though later blood tests by doctors found no toxins, such suspicions had not disappeared.

The people present all held status, so after weighing it, she decided to speak up.

“A curse?” Old Zheng was stunned and instinctively looked toward Master Wuzhen and Zhang Shaoyi.

Before Master Wuzhen could speak, Kang Zeyu sneered first: “Don’t joke around. He’s just a minor celebrity, a pretty boy. Are his words even believable?”

But he was quickly slapped in the face by the two masters. Master Wuzhen first chanted a Buddha’s name: “Amitabha. Curse techniques seem to have come from Nanyang? This poor monk studies orthodox Buddhist methods and knows very little about such matters.”

The implication was that it was not his expertise, so it was possible he could not detect it.

Zhang Shaoyi was even more embarrassed: “Old Zheng, the master I mentioned before who helped resolve the Peach Blossom Evil is none other than Dao Friend Chu.”

Old Zheng and his friends exchanged glances. They all had some channels for information and knew that Zhang Shaoyi had suffered a major setback earlier. His disciple Zhang Jue was said to have been seriously injured and had not appeared in public for a long time.

For him to say that this young man, handsome to an excessive degree, had helped him resolve his trouble—and with such respect in his tone—Old Zheng immediately took it seriously. He hurried forward to shake Chu Yi’s hand: “This… this master, what is your name? Sorry, this old man’s memory isn’t what it used to be…”

He felt quite awkward and grumbled at Yu Qingxian beside him in a scolding tone: “Little Xian, you really should have introduced him properly earlier.”

Yu Qingxian: “It’s this junior’s fault.”

He had gone from Yu Third Young Master to Little Xian so quickly; the elders were quite straightforward…

“Allow me a formal introduction. This is Chu Yi, Master Chu.”

“So it’s Master Chu. Hello, hello!”

“H-How is that possible?” Seeing Old Zheng and the two uncles vying to greet Chu Yi, Kang Zeyu was stunned, his speech even stammering: “He’s only a few years old. How could he be a Xuan Arts Master!”

Cui Ran was also somewhat suspicious and uncertain. Then he remembered something. Previously, when he went to Xingyao to discuss investment, Yu Qingxian had not been fond of him but still personally took him to the set.

Later, they had a small conflict because of Chu Yi, and Yu Qingxian left without pursuing the investment matter further. Afterward, Cui Ran had thought Yu Qingxian was otherworldly, refusing money, and he had no interest in chasing after someone who gave him the cold shoulder.

But thinking carefully, it was not long after that when Yu Zhensheng investigated their company’s finances. Before knowing Chu Yi’s status as a master, it had not mattered, but now that he understood, it felt rather intriguing!

Chu Yi said indifferently: “Whether I am a master or not has nothing to do with you.”

He had no interest in arguing with Kang Zeyu. He had Old Zheng extend his hand and meticulously checked his pulse, then gathered True Force in his fingertips and tapped several major acupoints on Old Zheng’s body several times in succession.

When he flipped over Old Zheng’s hands, a blood-red circular mark suddenly appeared prominently in the palms of both hands.

Old Zheng was terrified: “Th-This, what is this?!”

“Curse Mark.”

“Why hadn’t I noticed before? When did I get hit…” Old Zheng’s expression changed several times. Hearing Chu Yi say that casting this Childless Curse required his blood and Birth Chart, a flicker of gloom passed through his eyes, as if he had thought of something.

Kang Zeyu’s face was just as unsightly. He had come today precisely to beg his uncles to find a way to save his grandfather. He never expected the master to be right in front of him—a person he had already thoroughly offended!

Moreover, he could not bring himself to ask for help. He looked at Yu Qingxian with complex eyes. He must have known all along, so why had he never thought to tell him from beginning to end?!

Yu Qingxian met his gaze coldly, feeling not the least bit guilty but rather amused—this man’s one-sided delusions were truly incurable!

Instead of reflecting on himself after trouble arose, he blamed it on him?

Kang Zeyu never considered that at their first meeting, he had called Chu Yi a pretty boy, and the second time, he had directly called him a weakling. Yu Qingxian was not on his side to begin with, and he had never given him a chance to make an introduction!
