The fourth episode of Where to Go This Weekend aired at B University.
B University, a century-old prestigious school and top academy, boasted impeccable campus construction. Green plants lined both sides of the roads, and the arrangement of the buildings exuded a strong sense of design. Even just looking at the drone aerial shots gave off an overwhelming aura of academic excellence.
“Wow!!!” Wu Zhiqi was especially thrilled. “B University has always been closed to outsiders. I thought I’d never get through these gates in my lifetime, but the production team made my B University dream come true.”
Wen Yimeng showed no visible reaction on the surface, but a hint of envy flickered in his eyes.
Almost every kid grew up hearing about A University and B University, naturally viewing them through rose-tinted glasses. Wen Yimeng tried to suppress his emotions, but his uncontrollable gaze up at the B University gates betrayed him.
Fu Le, as always, stuck to his persona. “B University is really great, but since we couldn’t get in, my dad had to find a way to send me abroad to study. I hope in my next life I can have a brain that gets into B University, so my dad can save a few hundred thousand.”
He wanted to show off more, but he caught Yi Chen’s meaningful gaze and abruptly fell silent, not daring to continue. Instead, he changed the subject. “I hope we all have a great time today.”
Everyone gave their opening lines to the camera. The director shouted through a megaphone from behind the lens. “For the first day of the fourth episode, the itinerary involves heading to each guest’s chosen classroom for a professional class. In the afternoon, B University is holding a basketball game, and the guests will participate as players. Stay tuned!”
The schedule for the fourth episode was as relaxed as before. Day one, as the director mentioned, consisted of classes and the basketball game. Day two involved touring B University’s ongoing exhibitions, visiting clubs, and experiencing the school’s cultural heritage. Day three was free activity, where the guests formed teams on their own, with the production team providing limited funds for them to plan their itinerary within budget.
Before the show officially started, each guest received a schedule card from the production team.
The cards were meticulously designed, with photos of B University’s scenery and iconic buildings on the back, and the content written in elegant handwriting with a fountain pen—pleasing to the eye just to look at.
A crowd had already gathered at the scene.
The opening preparation segment was broadcast live in the program’s public stream, allowing the guests to interact with the on-site audience for a bit. When time was nearly up…
The host announced, “Alright! The guests are about to head out! Dear viewers, you can switch to their individual live streams! If you’re not sure which one to watch, stick around here—we’ll randomly switch for you!”
The camera panned across each guest.
Fang Peng dressed casually, and with black-rimmed glasses on, he instantly gave off the vibe of a university professor.
Wu Zhiqi and Wen Yimeng were also neatly dressed. Wu Zhiqi tied her hair into a high ponytail, full of youthful energy, while Wen Yimeng wore a relatively loose top, a baseball cap, and metallic accessories—looking very cool.
Yu Xi’s outfit that day was also very casual: a hooded short-sleeved shirt, jeans, and white sneakers. He radiated the aura of a university student all over—though he hadn’t graduated long ago anyway.
Yi Chen’s attire matched Yu Xi’s well, both in similar color schemes with sporty outfits. The two of them standing together were extremely pleasing to the eye.
In comparison, Fu Le was dressed a bit too formally.
With meticulous makeup, an overly formal white shirt, suit jacket, and trousers, he stood out awkwardly among the group. He didn’t look like he was there for class; he looked more like he was heading to a banquet to show off.
Fu Le had felt awkward when he first arrived. He had never attended university and didn’t know what real campus life was like. Plus, no one had told him to dress casually!
He had no time to change, so he just went with it.
But he was fully prepared. He had contacted the school teachers, scouted the classroom, and even memorized answers to questions he planned to ask.
Today’s live stream would undoubtedly be his moment to shine.
The host said, “Before the live streams officially start, let me introduce the majors each guest chose.”
The staff timely switched the screen to a pre-prepared PPT.
Fang Peng chose Eastern and Western Art Appreciation;
Fu Le selected an architecture class;
Wu Zhiqi picked journalism;
Wen Yimeng, unsurprisingly, chose business administration;
Yi Chen had randomly drawn philosophy on the spot back then;
Yu Xi hesitated a bit when selecting and chose psychology, which he had always been interested in.
“The live streams are about to begin!” the host said. “Now, let’s count down together.”
“Three—”
“Two—”
“One—”
“Where to Go This Weekend fourth episode, day one—officially live!”
The six guests’ individual live streams lit up simultaneously, with countless barrage comments flooding in instantly.
[Ahhhh! Finally got the fourth episode!]
[Fish Fish Teacher, look over here!]
[We’re at B University!]
[Anyone care to explain the guests’ education backgrounds? (No offense, just curious since we’re here.)]
[I haven’t followed closely, but I remember Yi Chen studied abroad, Wu Zhiqi seems like a regular second-tier uni? Fang Peng’s an old artist, now a professor at H Film Academy. No point in education talk. Dream Dream just started uni this year? Not sure about Fu Le, probably studied abroad too. Yu Xi… I think A Univ. Acting Dept.?]
[Yeah, Yu Xi is A Univ. Acting Dept., saw it on his wiki.]
[A Univ. Acting Dept? Isn’t that under A Univ. School of Arts, not the main campus? Art exam scores are high, but cultural scores are low—like just over the undergrad line by ten points or so?]
[Huh, I searched and yeah, no one mentions Yu Xi’s gaokao scores?]
[Must be because they suck and they don’t want it dug up.]
[With scores like that, Yu Xi might look a bit out of place at B University sometimes? Wen Yimeng and Wu Zhiqi at least had proper undergrads before debuting. Same level, but at least they have gaokao scores to show for it?]
Each guest dispersed to their classes. Fang Peng’s Eastern and Western Art Appreciation, Fu Le’s architecture, Wu Zhiqi’s journalism, and Wen Yimeng’s business administration were all in the north campus, so the four of them drove straight there. Yu Xi’s psychology and Yi Chen’s philosophy were in the south area—not too far, but not close either. Driving was too fast, walking too slow.
Fortunately, a big white shuttle bus arrived right then, heading to the teaching buildings for their classes. The two decisively hopped on.
There were already two female students in the front, engrossed in chatting on their phones. Yi Chen and Yu Xi, wearing hats and masks, went unnoticed.
Yu Xi and Yi Chen sat in the last row.
The shuttle nimbly weaved through tree-lined roads, with wind carrying the summer heat rushing in from both sides, slapping against their skin—somewhat scorching.
Neither Yu Xi nor Yi Chen spoke first.
When he first learned they were coming to B University, Yu Xi hadn’t felt anything special. His busy daily work had made him forget what university felt like.
But now that he had truly stepped back onto campus, that relaxing sensation that eased both body and mind, where everything seemed to glow, returned once more.
Inside the school gates was a different world from outside.
Inside, everyone was pure, clean, and natural. You could chat freely with those around you, express your emotions without worry. When in a good mood, you could munch on snacks freely; when down, you could pull an all-nighter and still attend the next day’s class full of energy. A young body was the greatest asset. The university students seemed like indomitable young pines, their eyes shining with hope for the future.
Outside the gates, everyone wore masks, hiding their true emotions. Words had to be swallowed three times before speaking; topics needed three minutes of mental deliberation. Schemes lurked everywhere, pitfalls at every turn. Truly separating work from life was a skill that took a long time to learn. Day after day of work could grind even the most vibrant souls dull.
Yu Xi was already quite wild, often not hiding his feelings at all—angry when he needed to be, furious when warranted. But sometimes he still felt tired, exhausted.
Now, that exhaustion was temporarily suppressed.
The scorching wind no longer felt hot; the rushing warm air didn’t bother him. Once relaxed, the mind wandered uncontrollably to other things.
He and Yi Chen.
They had once agreed to attend the same school, free of distractions, focusing solely on studies and each other, spending their university days together.
But that promise hadn’t come true.
They had once been inseparable during the most carefree, uninhibited, sunny, and passionate times. Yet countless people passed through Yi Chen’s life back then—everyone but him.
Damn it, that dog Yi Chen even claimed he couldn’t see his Moments.
He could only learn about Yi Chen’s life through Moments too!
And posting all that flashy stuff, peacocking around, afraid others wouldn’t know how happy and wonderful his university days were.
Yu Xi suddenly slammed a fist into Yi Chen’s thigh.
Yi Chen straightened up abruptly, puzzled. “What was that for?”
Yu Xi pulled down his cap brim. “Just remembered your Moments. All flashy and peacocky. Young man, learn some restraint—don’t post everything online.”
Yi Chen’s eyes lit up. He lifted Yu Xi’s cap brim and stared straight into his eyes. “You’ve seen them?”
Yu Xi felt a bit unnatural and tried to look away, but the seat was too cramped—he couldn’t. He could only meet Yi Chen’s gaze defiantly. “I saw them. So what? You didn’t lock them. Isn’t that the point—to let people see?”
Yi Chen’s smile deepened, thoroughly satisfied as he let go. “Good that you saw.”
Yu Xi: “?”
“The posts were set to specific visibility,” Yi Chen said with a smile. “Only you could see them.”
Yu Xi: “!”
Barrage: [!!!!!!]
As soon as Yi Chen said that, the shuttle arrived at his stop. His classroom was right there. He hopped off, waved quickly, and headed toward the teaching building.
He left behind a dumbfounded Yu Xi and a dumbfounded barrage.
[Sugar?]
[Moments? What Moments? What’s that I can’t see?]
[Known: Yi Chen’s Moments are flashy and peacocky, full of polished content. So someone explain—’set to specific visibility, only you can see’—is that the meaning I think it is hehe?]
[So Yi Chen posted tons of stuff just for Yu Xi? What is it what is it!!!!]
Yu Xi had no idea what the barrage was buzzing about. He just felt his ears heating up.
But he had no time to dwell—the shuttle reached his stop next. This was his classroom.
A1 Building, Room 305.
He wasn’t familiar with the area and wandered a bit before barely finding A1 Building. Yu Xi went up to the third floor, found the classroom, and sat in the last row.
He actually wanted to sit up front, but with the camera pinned on him, the front was too conspicuous and might film other students—not ideal. The back allowed him to listen without disturbing anyone.
B University classes weren’t strictly disciplined, but everyone was very self-disciplined, proactively placing their phones in the rack at the front before class.
The classroom gradually filled up, and Yu Xi started feeling odd.
Was a psychology class this full of guys?
Out of about fifty people, only three were girls.
Yu Xi double-checked the room number. 305, correct?
Psychology these days? Times change?
Before he could puzzle it out further, the professor entered from the front door, holding his textbook.
“Data Structures and Algorithms, everyone take out your books. We’ll finish the theory section first.”
Data Structures and Algorithms??
Yu Xi: “!!!”
Wrong classroom!!!
[Barrage: Hahahahaha, everyone waiting for psychology, but Yu Xi sneaks into the CS class.]
[Wrong building lololol A1 and A2 are left/right sides of the same building, A1 305 is right after the stairs hahaha, Teacher Yu Xi went left.]
[Yu Xi’s face is total blank hahahaha]
[Too cute!]
Yu Xi: “…”
On the podium, the old professor leisurely opened the PPT and displayed a question. “The homework from last class to preview—who wants to come up and demo? Get 80% right and I’ll add to your participation grade. Let me see… you there, the one in the hat and mask in the last row. Very distinctive. You, seize this participation grade opportunity.”
Yu Xi: ?????
Me?
