Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 1: The Beta Who Hates Alphas

TYE Boy Group Members Caught on Video Beating Up a Passerby#

At noon, a hot search entry rocketed straight to the top of Weibo’s trending list.

In the video, two strikingly handsome Alphas dragged an unremarkable-looking Beta into a corner of an underground parking garage. Arrogance was etched into their features as they rained down punches and kicks, followed by verbal abuse, before sauntering off as if nothing had happened.

The comments section exploded.

[TYE Boy Group is straight-up toxic. Every year, some member’s dirty laundry gets aired.]

[I’ve said it before: Alphas have shitty personalities and look down on everyone. They don’t deserve to be idols.]

[The one above is generalizing. The other three have been scandal-free since debut and have always worked hard.]

[Exactly! Those three are the real victims, constantly dragged down by their teammates.]

[What a joke. Victims? How come it’s always the new members who screw up while those three stay squeaky clean? Maybe they’ve got a hand in it. Everyone knows those two have powerful backers and endless resources right after joining.]

[The hater above is hilarious. You think the three of them ordered the newbies to beat someone up?]

[I’m not saying the ones who did the beating are saints. Alpha genes are defective—arrogant and insufferable by nature. None of them are any good.]

[The one up front hates Alphas so much. Your profile’s full of this crap. Is it really hate, or just jealousy?]

“Hate Alphas… or just jealous?”

Yu Sui murmured the words, his face twisting in disgust. Inside, he was stunned. “This netizen nailed it. Spot on.”

[As long as you’re not mad about it.] The System let out a relieved breath.

“It’s the truth,” Yu Sui replied. He pretended to seethe with rage and hurled his phone to the ground.

From the corner of his eye, he glanced at the nearby stall. He figured his muttering must have been overheard.

As he bent down to pick up the phone, the stall door banged open.

The young man perched on the toilet had wild red hair and a black headset dangling around his neck. Dressed in a casual hoodie and pants that amplified his youthful energy, his right hand—adorned with five or six decorative rings—waved his phone lazily.

“I think I just heard someone talking shit about me.” His eyes sparkled with amusement, but it didn’t reach them.

Yu Sui froze, his expression turning sour. He asked the System inwardly, “What the hell? Why did he open the door?”

[You nailed the task. You’re even better than the original—blue outshines the master.] The System lavished praise. [You’ve got real talent. You’ll make an outstanding Host for sure.]

“This isn’t the time for that.” The System was always in cheerleader mode to keep him from bailing, but right now, the plot had gone off the rails!

[The plot’s set in stone, but people aren’t. Relax.] The System reassured him. [In the original story, he overheard you and got wary. Now he’s just bringing it out in the open. No real difference.]

Relieved by the System’s guarantee, Yu Sui scooped up his phone. “You heard wrong.”

Jiang Nianxing hadn’t expected the guy to stay so cool after getting caught.

He narrowed his eyes. “You’re the new member?”

Yu Sui met his gaze, lacing his response with provocation as per the System’s instructions. “Yu Sui. A 4S+ Mental Power Alpha.”

Jiang Nianxing’s smile vanished completely at those words. “Is that so?”

Alphas were born with domineering personalities, viewing the world as theirs alone. Rivalry defined their interactions; true friendship was impossible.

Mental power strength was the core of their superiority complex. Strong mental power meant potent pheromones, and Alpha pheromones carried inherent aggression—incompatible with one another.

But there was one oddity.

The young man’s earlier mutterings reeked of pure hatred for Alphas… yet here he was, claiming to be one himself.

Jiang Nianxing studied the youth’s exquisite, delicate face. His shirt and pants were cheap, with a basic cut, but Yu Sui had a great figure—slender and lean, with slightly long black hair half-veiling his brows. The view drew the eye straight to his pink lips.

A refined nose bridge, a long swan-like neck, a sharp jawline.

Born for the silver screen.

Though compared to most Alphas, he was on the slender side.

Maybe that was it—not burly enough, so he resented other Alphas?

Pathetic, Jiang Nianxing thought.

He stood up. “Here to check in, right? I’m heading to the manager’s office anyway.”

Yu Sui eyed his return to that smiling facade and felt a chill creep up his spine.

Jiang Nianxing washed his hands, brows furrowing in renewed puzzlement.

Alphas and Omegas both had pheromones. Even with inhibitors, a faint scent lingered. But this close, he detected nothing on Yu Sui.

What was going on?

Unable to figure it out, he asked outright, “What’s your pheromone scent?”

Yu Sui, who now knew what pheromones were, twitched at the question but kept his tone haughty. “Can’t smell it? Figures, coming from a 3S Alpha… tch.”

What a vicious mouth.

Jiang Nianxing’s grin widened. “I’ll find out eventually.”

The words sent a shiver through Yu Sui, raising the hairs on his neck.

He recalled past TYE members who’d been exposed over pheromone scandals.

He was grateful all over again that he was just a plain Beta.

Yu Sui had been bound to the System at the brink of death. It promised revival energy for completing tasks.

Who wouldn’t grasp at a chance to live? He hadn’t hesitated.

Arriving in this world had shocked him.

Men only here. Men differentiated into three genders. Men made men with men.

Thank god he wasn’t a breedable Omega.

As a straight guy, he couldn’t fathom being topped by a dude.

The outrageous tasks? After the gender shock, they seemed minor. None would happen to him anyway.

The two walked out in silence, one behind the other.

They passed through the third-floor hallway, and Yu Sui occasionally peeked into the rooms lining the corridor.

Star Sea Entertainment specialized in promoting Alpha idols. The shadowy boss was an Alpha too, but twisted.

Idols served fans—through fan service, stage shows, lives. All to please.

That clashed with Alpha nature. Unlike other jobs, idols couldn’t afford scandals. Perfection was mandatory.

Torture for Alphas.

Star Sea’s Alphas were all coerced into unfair contracts. One slip in “idol conduct,” and crippling penalties loomed.

The boss wielded immense power, dragging his targets into the company by any means—family blackmail or worse.

TYE’s three veterans had come that way. To dodge debt, they toiled diligently, ever cautious.

Long-suppressed instincts warped them into something perverse.

They’d watch new teammates fall into company traps, betting on survival time and debt racked up.

Self-preservation ruled. Not kicking them while down was mercy enough.

This time was no different.

But they hadn’t anticipated one newbie genuinely loving the industry, with a gentle personality—like an angel.

The trio’s darkness gradually drew toward that light. Yu Sui’s mission: give them a nudge.

The office door creaked open.

Jiang Nianxing pushed it wide, words on his lips, but he paused at the unfamiliar face inside, arching a brow.

“Nianxing, you’re here.” The manager beckoned them over. “This is the other new member, Shen Anliu.”

Shen Anliu tensed at the introduction and bowed deeply to Jiang Nianxing. “Hello, senior!”

His voice rang out clear, laced with a slight tremor.

Jiang Nianxing was taken aback. Such politeness from a newbie.

Yu Sui, trailing behind, wasn’t surprised.

Shen Anliu was the little angel protagonist shou. An Alpha, but without a trace of their usual flaws.

As a Beta who hated Alphas, Yu Sui loathed him most. Too perfect—no dirt to dish.

Yu Sui’s own Beta role was unique too.

Betas were naturally even-tempered, mediocre across the board—in talent, mental power, looks.

Yet Yu Sui was stunningly handsome, with standout proportions and wild mood swings.

He hated being a Beta, doomed to averageness.

He hated Alphas for their born privileges, so he trashed them anonymously online.

Once, when flamed, he posed as a high-mental-power Alpha and shut them down.

The twisted thrill lingered.

Alphas ranked among themselves too, after all.

Unsated with online sniping, he’d long eyed Star Sea Entertainment.

Its Alphas had no privileges, no usual ways to crush rivals.

So he’d applied.

His looks sailed him through. Now he was officially a Star Sea idol.

Gene tests? Company didn’t care if employees suffered fallout. Their fault, more payout for them.

“And this is?” After greeting Jiang Nianxing, Shen Anliu tilted his head toward Yu Sui.

Admiration flickered in his eyes, ears tinting pink. “Hello, senior.”

He seemed more reserved than with Jiang Nianxing.

Jiang Nianxing frowned, irked. It was like Yu Sui outranked him.

Remembering the Mental Power claim, though, he paused.

He seemed… tall…

How on earth did this new guy figure that out? Was he taller than Jiang Nianxing too?

A pang of crisis gripped Jiang Nianxing’s heart.

Yu Sui thought to himself, As expected of the little angel—what an attitude.

With the manager right there, though, Yu Sui knew he had to play the part.

“I’m a new member too—Yu Sui,” he said, flashing a warm smile, his demeanor nothing short of impeccable.

Jiang Nianxing froze. He turned to study the smile on Yu Sui’s face, his stomach dropping. Had they picked up on each other’s dominant vibes? Was that why the guy was being so chummy?

These two were clearly tougher nuts to crack than the last batch of members.

Jiang Nianxing patted the phone in his pocket. “Brother Chen, you all chat. I’ll head to training first.”

With that, he bolted from the office and fired off a message to the other two.

—Get over here, stat—trouble!

After his death, Yu Sui was bound to the System. All he had to do was play the role of a tool character in R18 novels, pushing the plot along to gather revival energy. System: You're really just foreplay for the protagonists. Yu Sui: Fine. World One: Beta Who Hates Alphas [You are a foolish Beta who hates Alphas. Thanks to your schemes, the protagonists find their happy ending. Then your true identity is exposed, and brutal revenge awaits...] Yu Sui diligently stuck to the script. By day, he trashed his teammates to build up their hatred. Behind the scenes, he pulled off one shady stunt after another. To cook up a teammate scandal, Yu Sui used an alt account to add one of them and chat about flirty topics. But his target dove in even harder, obsessing day after day over his legs, his waist, dying to kiss his mouth... Yu Sui was floored. Whatever happened to that deep devotion, with eyes only for the protagonist shou and everyone else just background noise? Did a dog eat that character setup? Desperate to snap proof of infighting, he racked his brains to stir up trouble between them. Instead of teaming up to mess with him as scripted, his teammates actually threw down for real! All over his missing underwear... Yu Sui: He felt a little dead inside. Exactly who the hell stole his underwear?! The scheme to drug his teammates and make them look bad—which was meant to accidentally spark the protagonists' romance—backfired spectacularly. Yu Sui took the hit instead. In the end, they really do cheat—and since you can't cross the boss, you swallow your rage and play dumb...] Yu Sui threw himself into the role of the paranoid, spineless husband. Timid and cowering outside the home, he'd raise a fuss indoors, inviting the boss over again and again to give the pair "privacy." But the wife—supposed to lose patience and hook up with the boss out of spite—ditched his usual restraint. Pinching Yu Sui's waist, eyes red with fury, he snarled, "Shoving me aside over and over, then bringing your boss home to make googly eyes—do you think I'm blind?" Body and soul worn to the breaking point, Yu Sui refused to give up on salvaging the plot. He cornered the boss to test the waters. Spotting Yu Sui's suggestive outfit, the boss's voice soured. "Didn't you promise to keep him away?" Eyes lighting up at the jealousy, Yu Sui figured a job threat was coming next. "Stringing me along every damn day—when are you dumping him so I can step up?" The boss's gaze burned with envy. Yu Sui: ??? When the hell had he strung the boss along?! No way—the plot was derailing again!
