Luo Li had zero experience when it came to cross-dressing as a girl.
From the very first day he’d arrived in this instance, he’d worn whatever they gave him without a second thought.
It probably helped that the NPC he was playing was a teenage boy—slender and underdeveloped everywhere—which made it easy for him to pass as a young woman.
As a result, the issue had never even crossed Luo Li’s mind until this very moment.
A girl of seventeen or eighteen surely wouldn’t go without a bra, would she?
Even though he himself was just a slight boy with no real curves to speak of, it wasn’t something that would stand out if he skipped it…
But now that it had been discovered, there was no doubt he’d raise suspicions.
Luo Li lowered his long, curled lashes, unable to meet the doctor’s eyes. “I… I forgot today.”
“Forgot.” The man repeated the word, sliding the stethoscope head lower. “So you haven’t worn one all day today?”
Luo Li’s ears burned. “…Yeah.”
“I overheard you talking to a guy out there earlier. Did you two come here together?”
“Don’t think I’m prying, but he seemed to be staring at you the whole time.”
The doctor’s voice was ice-cold, his words clipped and professional, betraying no emotion whatsoever.
If anything, that made it all the more humiliating—like he was being openly scrutinized and interrogated.
The pad of the doctor’s finger brushed subtly against Luo Li’s chest.
“Look at this.”
Luo Li knew his excuse sounded feeble even to his own ears. “N-No way, I didn’t feel like he was looking at me or anything.”
The doctor let out a low chuckle. “Is that so?”
“Little miss, don’t lie to your doctor. Your heart’s racing right now.”
He pressed the stethoscope harder against Luo Li’s skin, drawing a soft whimper from his throat as Luo Li instinctively shrank back.
Of course it was racing.
If he got found out as a boy, he was done for.
“You might think that guy wasn’t checking you out, but from where I’m standing, it’s the exact opposite.”
The gloved hand trailed over Luo Li’s slender neck, the cool, slick material gliding like a snake.
“He was staring at you the whole time, you know? His gaze was downright creepy—stuck to your earlobes, the nape of your neck, that slim waist, and your thighs.”
There was no way anyone could miss it. When the cute little nurse walked beside him, the modest swell at the chest of his uniform would quiver with every startled movement, exposed and defenseless, drawing eyes like a magnet.
“When he was putting socks on you, didn’t you realize how badly he wanted to lick his way up?”
Luo Li was too oblivious. Only now did he sense something was off about this doctor. By the time he wanted to bolt, it was too late—the doctor had removed the stethoscope and roughly yanked off Luo Li’s mask.
Then he pinched the little nurse’s pale cheeks.
“You’re so pretty—you must have a boyfriend.”
“But that guy outside? He doesn’t look like your boyfriend. Don’t you have any defenses up around him?”
The bed frame rattled beneath them. After a dizzying whirl, Luo Li found himself shoved flat on his back, his wrists pinned.
In his panic, his little leather shoes were tugged off too, leaving his long, lithe legs curled up and trembling.
What the hell did this guy want?
Doctor… Boss…
Was he some higher-level boss?
Desperate, Luo Li recalled that advanced skill.
Guess he’d have to try it—
A faint glow sparked at his fingertips. But after a brief silence, a red prompt appeared.
【Very sorry, skill selection failed】
【Target identity detected: Player】
The mechanical voice rang clear in his ears. At the same time, the man before him pulled off his own mask.
Under the harsh white light, a mature, brooding face emerged—cold eyes shadowed and emotionless, sharp lips curling into a lewd, predatory smirk, thick with damp, sticky desire.
Like a starved mutt lurking in the shadows, desperate and depraved to claim its only meal.
The white coat slipped from his elbows, revealing a muscular arm inked with coiling tattoos.
Above the “doctor’s” head, two lines of text slowly materialized.
【Player: Fu Shiyue】
【Condition: Delusional Disorder (60)】
Fu Shiyue hadn’t removed his medical gloves; paired with the tattoos creeping up his arms, the sight was jarringly dissonant.
He wrapped an arm around Luo Li’s waist, his voice a low murmur.
“I’m not here as your boyfriend right now—just as a doctor, kindly warning you.”
“Why are you so resistant?”
Luo Li’s breaths came faster and faster, his heels kicking the sheets into disarray. But all it did was pull him tighter into the man’s embrace.
“Easy now, easy.”
“I’m your doctor right now. Checking your body is my job.”
“Be a good girl and cooperate, Nurse.”
The cold stethoscope head slipped inside his collar. In the next instant, Fu Shiyue’s lips crashed down, sealing Luo Li’s mouth without mercy.
…
“Luo Li! Luo Li!”
He’d only turned a corner, and the little nurse had vanished. The department was the same as before, but with each loop he’d walked inside the Ghost Hitting Wall, subtle details had shifted around him.
A medical record book now sat on the front desk. When Kang Xun opened it, the page read:
“Name: Lori, Gender: Male”
“Current history: Patient suffering heart failure… Admitted for observation, condition shows no significant improvement.”
“Notes: Patient refuses visitors, resists treatment… Currently, only the Dean can interact with the patient. Patient’s condition is extremely poor.”
The patient’s photo in the record had been crossed out in red, the rest of the text illegible.
And “Lori” was the name of the Dean’s adopted son.
Flipping further, there seemed to be a photo tucked inside.
But Kang Xun had no time for that now. He pocketed the medical record book and kept searching for a way to break the Ghost Hitting Wall.
【Hey, this is getting kinda creepy, right? Don’t you guys think? We just entered the Ghost Hitting Wall and poof, little nurse disappears. NPC trap maybe?】
【No way, that dumb little nurse couldn’t set up something this advanced (dog head)】
【WTF you guys, am I the only one worried? 555 Lili must be so scared】
【Hubby’s heart is breaking just thinking of Baby all alone…】
Trap.
Kang Xun didn’t buy it. That little guy didn’t look like the type to hurt anyone.
The barrage calling him “Baby” and “Hubby” nonstop was getting on his last nerve. “What danger could an NPC run into? You lot worrying for nothing?”
【Oh look, Mr. Sane is here (eyeroll)】
【Won’t run into monsters? What about players? Kang Dog, you not scared of getting stuck here and letting someone else swoop in first?】
【Back when Ling Yu kissed Baby, it was straight-up thirsty AF. If he gets to grope Baby one more time, that guy’s gonna drop trou right there】
Damn it!
Rage boiled in Kang Xun’s chest. He kicked the doorframe of the department, shattering it.
That careless act accidentally triggered the escape condition—the door to the Second Consultation Room swung open.
…
The curtain inside the consultation room swayed, accompanied by the creak of a bed frame.
The curtain wasn’t long enough to cover the bottom. Kang Xun spotted two pairs of overlapping legs at a glance—like a tall, burly man holding a petite beauty in his lap, perched on his knee.
Slender, porcelain legs dangled in the air, pink-tipped toes quivering with each sway, tapping against the man’s leather shoes.
Plump thighs were draped with a white coat now, hiding where their bodies pressed together. Only the wrinkles in the fabric hinted that “she” was squirming uncomfortably, legs clamped tight.
A brawny arm covered in black tattoos snaked under the coat, up to who-knew-where.
Their upper bodies were concealed by the curtain, but hushed whispers leaked through.
“…Not quite what I expected.”
“Skin’s so soft.”
“Makes sense why Baby skipped the bra.”
“So tender—it’d chafe easy, huh?”
The white coat shifted, on the verge of slipping off. Half the man’s tattooed arm emerged from beneath his shirt, along with swathes of the little nurse’s creamy skin.
A slim waist was locked in the tattooed arm’s grip, faint finger marks visible on the flat, soft belly.
Who knew how many times it’d been fondled.
“Let go… let me go…”
Luo Li’s voice drifted from behind the curtain. Fury exploded in Kang Xun’s chest, surging straight to his brain. Without a second thought, he drew his machete and slashed through the fabric.
The white coat hit the floor. The disheveled little nurse stumbled back half a step, tumbling straight into Kang Xun’s arms.
The machete grazed Fu Shiyue’s cheek, drawing blood.
Unarmed, he didn’t dare clash head-on with a seasoned killer. Dodging the lethal strike, he wiped the blood from his face and shot Kang Xun a cold sneer.
Luo Li hadn’t recovered from the shock. Glancing back, he saw Fu Shiyue lunging in for another kiss, machete be damned.
He let out a sharp yelp and burrowed into Kang Xun’s embrace, clinging tightly to the young man’s neck.
“Y-You… how come you’re only showing up now…”
As the little nurse flung himself at him, a heady, syrupy sweetness enveloped Kang Xun completely. Glancing down, he saw Luo Li’s shirt buttons undone, soft chest brushing against his pecs—and he nearly got a nosebleed on the spot.
He forced his eyes away. Meanwhile, Fu Shiyue, clutching the white coat, looked murderous.
The man had a wickedly handsome yet gloomy face, paired with that terrifying sleeve of floral tattoos—an utter antisocial thug, the kind you’d only expect to find lurking in sewers and basements.
At the moment, he was dressed like a doctor, which felt utterly out of place.
Even more jarring was how he wiped his lips with the back of his hand while still trying to edge closer to Luo Li.
“I’m not a bad guy.”
“I’m clearly… your boyfriend.”
If he hadn’t witnessed it firsthand, Kang Xun would never have believed in his lifetime that such a sinister, shadowy creep could speak in such soft, gentle tones.
“The examination isn’t finished yet. Shall we continue?”
Luo Li burrowed desperately into the crook of Kang Xun’s arm, shaking his head furiously. “No!”
He lifted his gaze, his voice trembling. “Kang Xun, don’t believe a word he says. He’s not doing any kind of exam! He’s a fake doctor!”
“So I’m the fake doctor, am I?”
Fu Shiyue nodded thoughtfully. “And what about you? Are you a real nurse, little miss?”
After a brief pause, he added, “Or should I call you little brother instead?”
Luo Li’s heart skipped a beat as a wave of panic—at being found out—crashed over him in an instant.
This was bad.
Had Fu Shiyue already figured it out?
In his fluster, he blurted, “You’re spouting nonsense! Your delusional disorder is so severe—it’s all just your imagination! Besides… you haven’t even seen me before. Don’t make stuff up! I’m not…!”
Fu Shiyue took a step closer, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“Why so nervous? I was only joking. Nothing more.”
“Is it funny?”
Kang Xun cut in abruptly, his tone laced with menace. “Even if ‘she’ has a flat chest, that doesn’t mean you can just call ‘her’ a boy, does it?”
