Chapter 27
The sulking kitten was incredibly cute.
Shao Sui, wanting to laugh but not daring to, poked the base of Mimi’s tail: “Our magnanimous Mimi, please forgive me this once?”
The Great Meow King resolutely refused to respond, determined to maintain its silent treatment.
Shao Sui couldn’t avoid it and had to explain everything one by one: “Humans don’t casually cuddle and kiss other humans, because that’s something only couples do.”
Mimi’s inner monologue: But I’m a cat.
“I spanked your butt because you sometimes make mistakes… and you also enjoy it, don’t you?” Shao Sui tried to explain. “But for humans, we only spank someone when they make a big mistake, and besides, do you still find it enjoyable after becoming human?”
The Great Meow King thrashed its tail, smacking Shao Sui in the face.
You refuse to spank me! How would I know if it’s still enjoyable!
Shao Sui grabbed the cat’s tail, giving it a couple of rubs to satisfy his craving: “I make you drink water for your health. Too much ice cream gives you diarrhea, and then you’ll get sick and have to go to the hospital, which you also dislike.”
Mind your own business, Great Meow King!
Shao Sui continued, “Human family members sleep in separate rooms when they grow up. Everyone needs their own personal space, to do things they don’t want others to see.”
Mimi didn’t think he was grown up; he was just a kitten, even as a human, only ten meow-meows tall.
And he had nothing to hide from Shao Sui.
“As for flicking your… balls.” Shao Sui coughed. “That’s purely because of my lowbrow humor. I shouldn’t have done that. Even kittens have privacy, don’t they?”
Mimi slapped Shao Sui with its tail again.
Shao Sui accepted it with pleasure, gently patting Mimi’s backside. He could see the Great Meow King trying to suppress its reaction, but its butt still unconsciously rose, its tail lifting and then straightening like an antenna.
“Meow!”
Realizing its reaction, Mimi, embarrassed and angry, swiped at Shao Sui and kicked him with its hind legs.
It really did hurt.
Mimi had been human for a while now and hadn’t had its claws trimmed. Even holding back, it still left several red marks on Shao Sui’s arm.
Shao Sui didn’t resist, even offering his arm closer.
Finally, Mimi, in its exasperation, opened its giant cat mouth and bit down hard on Shao Sui’s forearm. Three minutes passed, and the skin wasn’t even broken, only muffled meows, sounding incredibly pitiful.
Probably complaining again, unfortunately, Shao Sui couldn’t understand, he could only see that Mimi was truly upset.
Shao Sui’s heart softened, and he sighed.
Although the cat could turn into a human, it didn’t have human logic.
The cat didn’t understand social distance, or why humans felt shy about touching another person’s private parts, or why kissing and hugging were reserved for couples.
The cat didn’t understand anything, it only knew that the human it loved had suddenly stopped loving it, becoming cold and indifferent.
No amount of material comfort could replace gentle touches and cuddles.
“I’m sorry.”
Shao Sui apologized while pulling Mimi into his arms.
Mimi kicked at Shao Sui’s arm, then gave up, burying its face in his elbow, silent.
“How could our relationship fall apart? I love Mimi the most, I’ve never loved any other cat.”
“It’s just that interacting with a human is different from interacting with a cat, we need to be more… appropriate.”
Shao Sui tentatively tried to turn the cat over. Mimi continued to curl up, like a tightly rolled-up mantis shrimp.
Teacher Shao coughed, trying to sound stern: “Now that you’re human, you can’t let people touch you freely.”
“Meow—!”
Excuses!
Shao Sui tried to straighten the cat out, “For humans, everything except hands and legs is a private area.”
Mimi struggled slightly, but not noticeably.
Shao Sui, after much effort, finally managed to free the cat’s head from its fur. He first touched Mimi’s pink lips: “You can’t let others kiss you here.”
Then, parting the fur on the cat’s belly, he found its nipples: “You can’t let others touch these either.”
Finally, he gestured vaguely around its genitals and backside, “This entire area is off-limits to others, and you have to wear clothes to cover them.”
Mimi thought indifferently: You’ve touched them plenty.
“I’m talking about when you’re in your human form.” Shao Sui said, “If anyone touches these private areas, they’re not showing affection, they’re trying to take advantage of you, understand?”
Mimi didn’t understand.
Those people on TV touched each other all the time, kissing whenever they felt like it. Were they all trying to take advantage of each other?
Teacher Shao, appearing calm on the surface, felt internally helpless. He had never taught sex education to his students, and now he was teaching it to a cat.
He should have added a qualifier – touching you without your consent is taking advantage of you.
But Mimi was a cat spirit, he didn’t understand the meaning of these actions. Perhaps a can of cat food could entice him into kissing and cuddling, how could that be considered consent?
Teacher Shao, thinking ahead, decided to eliminate the possibility of Mimi being taken advantage of.
“If anyone tries to bully you, you can—” Shao Sui wanted to say “call the police,” but remembering Mimi didn’t have an ID card, he changed his words, “Tell me immediately, and I’ll avenge you. Okay?”
Perhaps sensing the male human’s sincerity, Mimi slowly relaxed, no longer trying to be a mantis shrimp, and let out a haughty meow.
Shao Sui was overjoyed, feigning composure as he slowly stroked the cat’s chin. Soon, Mimi closed its eyes contentedly, purring.
Teacher Shao was so touched he almost cried.
Such a familiar and comforting sound.
Although he really wanted to bury his face in the cat’s belly or nibble its ears, Mimi was still sulking and would probably throw a tantrum if he tried anything.
Shao Sui asked tentatively, “Want to sleep with me tonight?”
Mimi tilted its chin up: “Meow?”
Sleep where!?
Shao Sui continued stroking its chin, “Where do you want to sleep? Study? Master bedroom? Sofa?”
“Meow, meow!”
“Master bedroom?”
“Meow!”
“No problem.”
Shao Sui carried the cat to his bed and placed it belly-up: “I’m starting now, okay?”
Mimi swished its tail: “Mrow!”
Both parties were anticipating what was about to happen, their actions synchronized and harmonious. Shao Sui buried his face in Mimi’s belly, and Mimi hugged Shao Sui’s head, licking him furiously, trying to cover him in its scent.
The man and cat engaged in a half-hour of mutual nuzzling and absorption.
Mimi kicked Shao Sui: “Meow, meow, meow!!”
Enough!
This Great Meow King is going to be squashed!
Shao Sui also felt it was enough; his head was almost licked bald.
“I’m going to use the bathroom.”
“Meow!”
“Be right back.”
Shao Sui quickly went to the bathroom and guiltily closed the door. He quickly washed the licked spot on his head and dried it with a towel.
He didn’t dare to use the hairdryer, afraid of being discovered and upsetting the cat.
Back in the bedroom, Shao Sui got into bed and contentedly pulled the cat into his arms: “Good night, baby.”
Actually, Shao Sui had initially wanted to persuade Mimi to stay in his human form. The seven-day holiday would give him ample time to teach Mimi some human common sense and basic skills, but after nuzzling the cat, he was hooked and decided to postpone the education plan.
Mimi felt the same way.
Although Shao Sui claimed he didn’t dislike him in his human form, Mimi, a sensitive kitten, could smell that Shao Sui’s pheromones became much stronger after he transformed back into a cat.
There were different levels of “like.”
What Shao Sui really meant was that he liked him in his human form too, but he wouldn’t kiss him, hug him, or sleep with him.
So annoying.
But Mimi missed Shao Sui’s embrace and decided to enjoy it for a couple of days.
It secretly opened its eyes, nuzzled Shao Sui’s lips, and licked them.
Still not satisfied, Mimi licked Shao Sui’s neck, his warm eyelids, and even his ears.
Shao Sui was incredibly ticklish, but to avoid disturbing Mimi, he pretended to be asleep.
After covering Shao Sui in his scent, Mimi contentedly snuggled closer, pressing his face against Shao Sui’s stubble, purring and closing his eyes.
So happy.
Shao Sui was quickly lulled to sleep by Mimi’s purring and had a dream.
In his dream, he couldn’t move, and Mimi, in his human form, was lying on top of him, kissing him repeatedly: “You only said I couldn’t let others kiss me, you didn’t say I couldn’t kiss others.”
That’s true.
Night turned into day, sunlight streaming through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating the scene on the bed.
Shao Sui, eyes still closed, hugged the cat in his arms: “It’s a holiday today, let’s sleep a little longer…”
Just as he was about to drift off, a thought suddenly occurred to him.
The cat felt different.
No fur, bigger, smooth and soft to the touch.
And hot breath against his neck.
Teacher Shao abruptly opened his eyes. A dark brown head of hair was nestled against his chin, its face pressed against his neck, breathing evenly.
The cat had turned human again.
And he was naked.
Between them, there was only Shao Sui’s thin pajamas, their body heat mingled after a night of shared warmth. Shao Sui almost had a panic attack, taking deep breaths to calm himself. Your cat, your cat.
You knew this, Mimi loves cleanliness, he’s not dirty even as a human.
Shao Sui slowly relaxed, trying to get out of bed without waking Mimi. One of Mimi’s legs was draped over his waist, the other between his legs, a tangled mess.
His flexibility was still as good as when he was a cat.
As Shao Sui carefully pulled away, just about to roll out of bed, the cat woke up.
Mimi looked at Shao Sui with his beautiful, round eyes for a moment, then suddenly leaned in and kissed him on the lips, his tongue darting out.
Shao Sui felt like he had been struck by lightning.
Mimi’s face was so close, Shao Sui could even see the fine hairs on his skin.
After all that he said last night, the cat hadn’t listened to a word.
Or had his dream come true, Mimi finding a loophole in his logic?
Mimi closed his eyes, contentedly nuzzling Shao Sui’s stubble.
A bit prickly.
Just as Shao Sui was about to pull him away and give him another lecture, Mimi seemed to suddenly realize what he was doing, staring at him for a long moment. After confirming it wasn’t a dream, Mimi performed a disappearing act.
Three seconds later, Mimi the cat emerged from under the covers, meowing innocently. It wobbled over, stretched on the bed, its toes spreading wide like a peeled mangosteen, white and soft.
“Meow—!”
Mimi let out a soft, sweet meow, nuzzled Shao Sui’s face, and flopped into his arms.
As if nothing had happened, time to go back to sleep.
