Chapter 7
They didn’t sleep until 2:00 a.m., but Gu Tang still opened his eyes at 6:00 a.m. the next day.
This was the biological clock he had developed over the years, and it wasn’t easy to change even after the college entrance exam.
The room was dimly lit. Gu Tang touched his phone with his fingertip, which displayed 6:00 a.m. domestic time, but it was 7:03 a.m. abroad. Cleaning staff would come to clean at 9:00 a.m., and the housekeeper would also come.
Gu Tang lay on the floor for less than two minutes before getting up.
He folded the thin blanket he had used last night neatly and placed it directly on the sofa beside him. He deliberately lightened his footsteps while doing these actions, walking silently on the carpet, not disturbing Jiang Huaisheng, who was still sound asleep.
When he came in yesterday, Gu Tang didn’t completely close the doors of the two rooms. He gently pushed the door open and went out.
After a night of purification by the fresh air system, the various mixed smells in the presidential suite had completely dissipated. He opened the curtains and the windows, letting the natural breeze flow in.
Gu Tang went to check the clothes in the laundry room first. The dryer had finished its work two hours ago.
After a night of washing and drying, the soiled sheets and duvet cover were completely dry, the soft long-staple cotton fabric emitting the scent of lavender detergent and the special smell after drying and disinfection.
Gu Tang shook the sheets to check. There were no traces of blood or other proteins left. The thing they did fiercely last night had been completely “destroyed.”
After quickly dealing with the sheets, duvet cover, and even the carpet in the next room, Gu Tang came over, intending to carry Jiang Huaisheng to the next room as planned.
Because of a certain young master’s cleanliness obsession, Gu Tang specifically brushed his teeth, washed his face, and dressed neatly before coming over.
“Jiang Huaisheng?”
Gu Tang called the other party’s name, but received no response. He raised his voice by an octave, but Jiang Huaisheng was still as if dead.
Thinking of something, he turned on the lights in the room, and upon seeing the latter’s face, it was indeed flushed. He placed his hand on the other’s forehead, which was very hot. The young master had a fever.
The presidential suite was also equipped with a family medicine kit. The various medicines Gu Tang used yesterday were taken from this kit. He took out a thermometer, which beeped once, 39.3 degrees Celsius, a high fever.
Gu Tang helped the feverish and dazed person up, carried him to the wheelchair, and covered him with a handmade cashmere blanket.
He went to the next room to find Jiang Huaisheng’s cup, poured out the overnight water, and filled it with heated mineral water, the 50/300ml snow mountain mineral water.
It took some time for the thermo mug to heat up. Gu Tang found a box of antipyretics from the medicine kit and checked the expiration date against the light. It hadn’t expired.
He opened a box and brought an orange-white ibuprofen capsule to Jiang Huaisheng’s mouth with his slender fingers: “Jiang Huaisheng, you have a fever, take your medicine.”
The dazed Jiang Huaisheng heard his voice, and his chaotic consciousness seemed to have conjured up something, his body trembling slightly.
His face was flushed, but the rest of his skin was very pale. The delicate young master closed his eyes tightly, his thick eyelashes trembling. Due to the fever, a few strands of his hair stuck to his forehead, looking quite pitiful.
The hardship he had endured last night made Jiang Huaisheng subconsciously resist. He bit his slightly pale lips tightly: “No more…”
Gu Tang frowned. It seemed he was delirious. Although they had done more intimate things yesterday, they hadn’t kissed at all.
He hadn’t used Jiang Huaisheng’s mouth either, so what was the use of him closing his mouth now?
Besides, he hadn’t really enjoyed that kind of thing yesterday. And he wasn’t a pervert. Since Jiang Huaisheng had a fever, he wouldn’t be thinking about that kind of thing all the time.
As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In Gu Tang’s opinion, Jiang Huaisheng might like this kind of thing even more than him. Only those whose minds were full of dirty thoughts would see everything as dirty. He was even thinking about that while delirious.
“Jiang Huaisheng, the fever will burn your brain out. Be good and take the antipyretic.”
He held the medicine in one hand and the cup in the other, gently coaxing the sick Jiang Huaisheng like his grandparents had coaxed him in his memory: “Just swallow this medicine in one gulp, it’s not bitter, and you won’t feel so uncomfortable after taking it.”
Ibuprofen capsules didn’t have much smell. Gu Tang successfully made him swallow it with hot water.
Jiang Huaisheng was listless, not making any resistance. Before calling the doctors, Gu Tang said: “You’ve sweated a lot, should I change your pajamas for you?”
As he reached out, the young master twisted and struggled: “I don’t want you to change them.”
Gu Tang didn’t insist: “Then can you change them yourself? If you can, change them yourself. Tell me which one you want to wear, and I’ll get it for you.”
Jiang Huaisheng couldn’t help but glare at him. Gu Tang continued to analyze calmly: “If you can’t, either I’ll change them for you, or I’ll pay for an unfamiliar hotel staff member to change them. Anyway, it’s not me who’s being exposed. It’s up to you whether you cooperate or not.”
Jiang Huaisheng felt inexplicably aggrieved. He felt that this bastard Gu Tang was bullying him, knowing full well that he had no strength at the moment, his body was limp, his fingers couldn’t even lift, and relying on himself would only make him more embarrassed.
Jiang Huaisheng gave up struggling. He didn’t say a word, neither agreeing nor saying he would find someone else, which meant he acquiesced to Gu Tang changing his clothes.
Although he hated his powerless self, the little bit of reason he had managed to regain told him that having Gu Tang find a stranger outside to help him change his clothes would only make him more embarrassed.
Choosing the lesser of two evils, there was nothing left of him that Gu Tang hadn’t seen anyway.
Gu Tang knew what he meant by his actions, and he didn’t make things difficult for Jiang Huaisheng with words.
Sick people were always particularly fragile and also held grudges. He wasn’t a sadist, he enjoyed bullying the strong and arrogant Jiang Huaisheng, not a physically and mentally weak patient. There was no need to provoke him at this time.
Those who liked to bully the weak were perverts. Gu Tang acknowledged that he was seriously mentally ill, but he felt that he had a bottom line. He wouldn’t bully the weak. It was clearly Jiang Huaisheng who liked to bully the weak.
So he picked out a set of Jiang Huaisheng’s clothes from the suitcase, unbuttoned the cotton shirt, and quickly helped him change.
His movements were proper, he even wore gloves, trying his best not to have skin contact with Jiang Huaisheng.
However, in the latter’s view, this meant that Gu Tang dared to dislike him. The young master almost gritted his teeth.
Gu Tang thoughtfully unbuttoned the top two buttons of Jiang Huaisheng’s shirt to prevent him from having difficulty breathing due to the tightness: “Alright, I was careful yesterday, there are no marks here.”
He really didn’t want others to find out. The places he had pinched the hardest were the chest and waist. After all, they weren’t in a romantic relationship, so there was no need to deliberately leave hickeys on the collarbone or neck.
After all, opening a gift didn’t require using the mouth, hands were enough.
Gu Tang then used an ice pack to physically lower Jiang Huaisheng’s temperature. His movements were gentle and his attitude was attentive. An hour later, he took his temperature again. The fever had subsided a bit and didn’t seem as serious.
He rang the bell to inform the housekeeper: “Young Master has a fever, 38.3 degrees Celsius, call the family doctor and give him an IV drip.”
Jiang Huaisheng’s health was really poor. Just taking antipyretics wasn’t enough for a fever, it would definitely come back later. An IV drip was necessary before it got worse.
The staff on the private jet was very comprehensive. After Jiang Huaisheng’s family doctor arrived, they set up an IV stand and gave him a large IV drip after a skin test.
Gu Tang asked the doctor and also prepared a tetanus shot for himself, but he didn’t need an IV drip, just a quick injection.
The housekeeper asked: “Why did Young Master have a fever yesterday?”
The doctor said: “It’s probably a cold, coupled with a bit of acclimatization.”
Gu Tang added: “Maybe the air conditioning was too low yesterday.”
He acted very naturally, without any guilt in his expression, like a completely innocent good samaritan, not the culprit.
The housekeeper said: “Then I’ll tell the family head, and we’ll fly back after Young Master has rested.”
Neither the housekeeper nor the doctor thought about anything inappropriate. After all, because Jiang Huaisheng’s body was weaker than ordinary people, he was indeed prone to illness.
The sick Jiang Huaisheng was especially difficult to take care of. Throwing things in the hospital was also common.
The housekeeper spoke softly and gently for a while, and seeing his young master’s particularly ugly expression, afraid of being blamed, he immediately handed everything over to Gu Tang: “Young Master Gu, I’ll go and communicate with the hotel and the old mansion. Please take care of Young Master.”
Gu Tang responded. Actually, he hadn’t taken care of Jiang Huaisheng in a sick state many times, or rather, never.
It wasn’t that his stepfather didn’t want him to take care of Young Master Jiang, it was Jiang Huaisheng who firmly refused to have Gu Tang appear in front of him when he was sick.
Since childhood, Jiang Huaisheng had very high demands on himself, whether it was academics or hobbies, he had to be first-rate in every aspect.
Facts proved that even though his body wasn’t as good as ordinary people, he was still more outstanding than 99.99% of the people in the world.
However, because of his jealousy towards Gu Tang, Jiang Huaisheng wasn’t willing to show his weak and pathetic side in front of him. He had to be completely dominant and superior in front of Gu Tang.
He used arrogance to cover up his jealousy towards the latter, after all, how could a superior god be jealous of a mortal?
But that absurd contract had already broken the relationship between them. His most pathetic side had been seen by Gu Tang, and Jiang Huaisheng was now simply giving up.
Jiang Huaisheng started to torment Gu Tang, ordering him around, asking for this and that.
He complained that the water was too hot, he wanted ice water, and then complained that the ice water was too cold, wanting to kill him!
But it was useless, his nitpicking was like punching cotton. Gu Tang acted like a robot who only did things, without showing any embarrassment or giving any feedback.
This attitude made Jiang Huaisheng even more annoyed. There was no doubt: Gu Tang was giving him the cold shoulder.
“Enough, Gu Tang, get out!”
Gu Tang readily complied, but was called back by the other party: “Gu Tang, stop right there!”
Jiang Huaisheng, sitting on the bed receiving an IV drip, was extremely ashamed and angry: “I’m like this because of you, why are you acting like this?”
Gu Tang finally looked up at him: “Yes, I feel guilty, so I’ll do whatever Young Master asks me to do.”
After all, Jiang Huaisheng was the kind of young master who liked to torment people, and he would definitely be even more difficult to take care of when he was sick. He was used to it, so he didn’t bother to respond.
He was in good physical condition and could carry Jiang Huaisheng up dozens of floors without a problem, but he was mentally tired and didn’t want to deal with anyone.
“Come here!”
Jiang Huaisheng gave the order.
Gu Tang silently walked to his bedside and heard Jiang Huaisheng ask: “You wore gloves yesterday, and today too, do you dislike me?”
Gu Tang looked up in surprise: “No.”
How could he dare dislike the young master? It’s just that the young master had a cleanliness obsession, didn’t he? Besides, they were just a transaction, not soulmates, it was normal to have some distance.
“You still say you don’t dislike me, you even need a tetanus shot, do you think I’m some kind of dirty thing?” It was Gu Tang who proposed this transaction in the first place, how unreasonable.
Gu Tang frowned: “Deep bites can carry the risk of tetanus infection. The human mouth has a lot of bacteria, this is an objective fact. You always get full marks in biology, you can’t not know this.”
He tried to make his tone sound gentler: “If I die from tetanus, the transaction will fail, which isn’t good for you, Young Master.”
Gu Tang even dared to threaten him with this kind of thing. Jiang Huaisheng was so angry that smoke was almost coming out of his head, his fingers trembling slightly with anger.
Gu Tang found him baffling: “Jiang Huaisheng, don’t be angry, getting emotional isn’t good for your recovery, you’re still sick.”
He didn’t get closer, afraid that Jiang Huaisheng would slap him in his anger.
Jiang Huaisheng quickly calmed down, but his voice was like ice shards: “Come here.”
Gu Tang sighed inwardly and took two steps forward.
“Lower your head.”
As expected, but Gu Tang still lowered his head. Leaving that bed, they were still the young master and the lackey.
His stepfather, Jiang He, had demanded that if Jiang Huaisheng ever slapped him, he should offer the other cheek.
Gu Tang wasn’t willing, but he couldn’t leave the Jiang family yet.
He clenched his fists, his body stiff, looking at the young man’s sharp profile, the smooth and clear jawline. The anger in Jiang Huaisheng’s heart inexplicably dissipated a bit.
Anyway, Gu Tang was indeed very handsome. Although his technique was terrible, it meant he was inexperienced, clean.
Jiang Huaisheng pinched Gu Tang’s chin and kissed those thin red lips.
Seeing the other party’s pupils suddenly dilate in shock, his face full of astonishment, a secret pleasure rose in his heart. Who told Gu Tang to give him that half-dead look.
The young master forcefully pried open Gu Tang’s tightly closed teeth and exchanged saliva with him.
Jiang Huaisheng’s biology was indeed very good. Not only did he know that deep bites could lead to tetanus infection, he also knew that colds and fevers could be transmitted through saliva exchange.
Disgusted by him, right? Refusing to use his mouth during sex, right? He would kiss him then!
