Chapter 52 Part 1: Extra 2
Before meeting Shi Xu, Little Black was just an ordinary black cat, fortunate enough to survive several pollutant attacks. After meeting Shi Xu, it finally felt safe.
Little Black had heard from other house cats that they had to be neutered. In simpler terms, as a male cat, its testicles would be removed.
Knowing its fate, it still willingly went home with Gu Sui. It didn’t want to be a stray anymore. Compared to a life of constant fear, losing its testicles was a small price to pay. It could live without sex, without children.
After being adopted by Gu Sui, it waited for the inevitable. It didn’t expect to become a father before that day arrived, its child a golden egg.
Gu Sui often joked that the egg was its wife, but Little Black never took him seriously.
Compared to Gu Sui, Shi Xu was more reliable, showing concern for the egg, but his attention was often monopolized by Gu Sui, leaving Little Black with the responsibility of caring for the egg.
It wasn’t a burden, but a joy.
Since it couldn’t have its own children, it treated the golden egg as its son.
Even after Sui Sui hatched, its feelings didn’t change. It still cared for him as its own, even though Sui Sui grew rapidly, soon surpassing it in size, its protective instincts still kicking in whenever Sui Sui was in danger.
Sui Sui recently befriended a fun uncle, Shi Xu’s friend, Qi Yu.
Sui Sui was staying at Uncle Qi Yu’s house for a month. Little Black naturally went with him.
Initially, it was wary of Qi Yu, worried he wouldn’t be able to care for Sui Sui properly, but its worries soon disappeared.
Qi Yu might seem careless, but he was actually more attentive than Little Black itself.
It had nothing to worry about. Sui Sui was in good hands. And it didn’t want to leave Sui Sui’s side.
Sui Sui hadn’t forgotten it either, carrying it everywhere.
It used to be Little Black carrying the golden egg, now it was Sui Sui carrying it.
It sometimes missed the days when Sui Sui was still an egg, small enough to be held comfortably.
With a sigh of regret, it drifted off to sleep.
Little Black dreamt of being bigger and stronger than Sui Sui, easily carrying him in its paws.
Sui Sui was overjoyed, begging it to hold him longer.
It happily obliged.
A contented purr rumbled in its throat. It woke up with a pang of longing, wanting to hold its baby again, but its small body couldn’t.
The moment this thought crossed its mind, its body began to expand.
Sui Sui didn’t particularly like sleeping in the cat bed, he just liked sleeping with Little Black. At Qi Yu’s house, Qi Yu prepared a large bed for Sui Sui, even bringing Little Black’s cat bed from Shi Xu’s house. Little Black didn’t sleep in it, sharing the large bed with Sui Sui.
As its body grew, Little Black’s first thought was of Sui Sui. Afraid of crushing him, it rolled off the bed, its quick reaction preventing the bed from collapsing, but it still woke Sui Sui.
The room was dark, but the moonlight filtering in through the window illuminated Little Black’s large form. Sui Sui’s initial drowsiness vanished, replaced by surprise and delight.
He gasped, jumping off the bed and hugging Little Black.
Even enlarged, Little Black’s belly was still soft, its fur smooth and well-groomed. Sui Sui couldn’t stop petting it, his hands moving through its fur.
Little Black didn’t understand why its body had changed, but seeing Sui Sui’s happiness, it pushed aside its confusion, enjoying the moment, playing with Sui Sui until he fell asleep again.
It carefully placed Sui Sui back on the bed, then considered its own situation.
Its body was now half the size of the room, barely able to fit through the door.
Cats were liquid, the saying was true. It was just its fur that had expanded. With some effort, squeezing and contorting its body, it managed to leave the room. It raised its large paw, knocking on Qi Yu’s door, seeking help.
Qi Yu was used to being woken up by work calls. He was instantly alert, assuming a defensive stance before opening the door, then staring at the giant cat head outside, wondering if he was still dreaming.
How could a giant black cat appear in his house?
He quickly realized it wasn’t a Variant, but Little Black.
He didn’t understand how this could happen. Pollutants, upon parasitizing a host, usually took complete control, erasing the host’s consciousness.
Confused, he called his colleague, an expert on pollutants, who couldn’t explain it over the phone, rushing to Qi Yu’s house, equally stunned by the sight of the giant cat.
The two humans and the cat stared at each other until morning. The problem was easily solved when Sui Sui woke up.
He wasn’t surprised by Little Black’s size, rushing over and hugging it, rubbing his face against its soft belly.
“Like!” he declared.
Hearing this, Little Black no longer wanted to return to its normal size. It wasn’t a stray anymore. As long as Sui Sui liked it, it could stay like this forever, staying home, never leaving.
After cuddling with the giant cat for a while, Sui Sui waved his hand, and Little Black instantly shrunk back to its normal size, easily held in Sui Sui’s arms.
Little Black was confused, unable to adjust to its sudden size change, filled with regret.
It hadn’t cuddled its baby enough. It might not get another chance.
Qi Yu and his colleague found a palm-sized, pink pollutant under the sofa. The pollutant, its eyes filled with tears, squeaked, then fainted.
Qi Yu and his colleague exchanged a look. Qi Yu asked, “I’ve never seen this type of pollutant before. Is it dangerous?”
It didn’t look dangerous.
His colleague, equally confused, replied, “I haven’t either.”
Qi Yu: “Aren’t you the pollutant expert?”
His colleague, not embarrassed, explained, “There are too many types of pollutants. We haven’t cataloged them all.”
Qi Yu turned to Sui Sui, who was still playing with the cat. “Sui Sui, do you know this type of pollutant?”
Sui Sui looked up from Little Black’s embrace, blinking his golden eyes. “I do…”
According to Sui Sui, this type of pollutant could enter people’s dreams, extract their desires, and turn them into reality.
Little Black wanted to be bigger, so it granted his wish.
Its ability to silently invade dreams wasn’t weak, but its timid nature, easily frightened into unconsciousness, made it difficult to assess its true strength.
Despite its apparent harmlessness, it was still a pollutant. Unlike Gu Sui and Sui Sui, it wasn’t benevolent. After learning about its ability, Qi Yu eliminated it.
Two days later, Little Black was still feeling down. Sui Sui, noticing its unusual quietness, stayed home with it instead of going to work with Qi Yu.
“Why is Little Black unhappy?”
Little Black didn’t hesitate, sharing its worries.
Meow, meow, meow: “I want to hold baby, but baby is bigger than me now. I can’t hold him anymore.”
“You should have told me sooner!” Sui Sui giggled, shrinking to the size of Little Black’s paw, rolling around on its belly.
He still looked human, even cuter in his miniature form.
Little Black and Sui Sui’s relationship was truly the highlight of this story
Sui Sui is too fricking cute.
