Chapter 76: Learning
A gentle breeze blew in from the half-open window, making the gray curtains sway slightly.
Fei Han looked down at Nuonuo, who was really too short to reach the desk. He had no choice but to sigh and lift the little one from the chair. “Sit for a while first. I’ll see what books you can use now.”
And so, Nuonuo swung his little feet and sat obediently on the sofa, waiting for his brother to bring the books over.
Fei Han’s room had a whole wall of books. At first glance, it was very spectacular and headache-inducing, especially since most of them were about biochemistry. The complex and hard-to-read titles could make a person’s eyes turn into a spiral.
After searching on the bookshelf for a long time, Fei Han finally found a book with more pictures, The Principles of Mechanics.
Placing the book in front of Nuonuo, Fei Han coughed lightly and said, “I’ll read it to you once. You don’t have to understand the knowledge inside, just recognize the words.”
After all, he was a child, so Fei Han’s expectations were very low.
Nuonuo, on the other hand, pursed his lips and, imitating his brother’s appearance, put on a straight little face and nodded very seriously. “Okay!”
Although the little one is often silly, his attitude towards learning is still worthy of affirmation, Fei Han thought.
Sitting next to Nuonuo, Fei Han opened the thin book and, pointing at the first term on it, began to read. “Component, refers to a mechanical…”
Fei Han was very considerate, pointing at each word with his finger and reading very slowly, just so that Nuonuo could see what the word looked like.
And Nuonuo stretched his little neck forward. Seeing the open book on the coffee table, his little eyes were unconsciously attracted by the colorful pictures inside.
Although the pictures were all of things Nuonuo couldn’t understand, the colorful pictures were a bit like the little cookie stickers Nuonuo had before.
Unfortunately, the pictures in the book can’t be pasted on my desk, Nuonuo thought with a small sigh.
And so, one read seriously, and the other looked seriously. After learning like this for a whole morning, Fei Han finally put the book away.
Fei Han was quite satisfied with this progress. He nodded lightly and said, “Is there anything you don’t understand? I’ll read it to you again.”
Nuonuo blinked his eyes. His little head had been forced to receive a series of mechanical knowledge, and at this moment, it was already a mess. If he shook it a little, he could probably hear the sound of water inside.
Shaking his head slowly, Nuonuo said with a dazed little look in his eyes, “No need, ya.”
He didn’t understand a single one of them.
But Fei Han was unexpectedly surprised. He looked at Nuonuo’s dark, moist eyes, and a hint of pride couldn’t help but rise in his heart. “Not bad.”
Fei Han’s tone even rose slightly, and he was also very satisfied with his teaching results this morning. “By the time you go to kindergarten, you should be able to surpass your peers by a large margin.”
Fei Han himself had never been to kindergarten. His IQ had been frighteningly high since he was a child, and he could repeat almost anything he had seen once without a mistake.
Recognizing words was completely effortless for him, just a side task while learning various other theoretical knowledge.
He hadn’t even finished primary school completely, always skipping grades. By the time the people around him couldn’t keep up with his train of thought, he had already moved on to a higher-level school.
Having not gone to school in a regular, step-by-step manner, Fei Han had always thought that kindergarten was probably about learning up to the level of quadratic equations.
It seems to be slower than my progress, but there’s no way around it. A child’s ability to receive knowledge is limited, so slow progress is inevitable.
Fei Han silently pondered. This book had a total of about ten thousand words. By the time Nuonuo had completely recognized them, at least he wouldn’t be left behind by his peers.
“Alright, let’s go down and eat.”
“Yay!”
Nuonuo, who had accurately caught the words “eat,” had his eyes sparkling. He jumped off the sofa and stood on his tiptoes to grab his brother’s finger with his little hands. “Eat, ya!”
A soft little hand suddenly appeared in Fei Han’s cool palm, which felt a little itchy. He frowned slightly in discomfort, but in the end, he didn’t shake it off.
Holding Nuonuo’s little hand, Fei Han took him downstairs for lunch.
Nuonuo, who had been obediently listening to the heavenly book upstairs all morning, his little stomach began to rumble when he saw the food the chef uncle had made.
“Wow!”
Nuonuo ran to the dining table, stood on his tiptoes, and peeked at the dishes on the table, his little eyes full of longing.
“Nuonuo is here. What did you play with your brother this morning?”
Seeing Nuonuo, Auntie Wu’s eyes crinkled with a smile. She went over and picked up the little one, who was almost drooling, and placed him in his baby chair.
“I learned with my brother!”
Nuonuo, who hadn’t learned anything at all, said happily, swinging his little feet.
At the mention of this topic, Fei Han’s distant and cold expression softened a lot. He sat down and said, “Nuonuo learned very well. He has a lot of talent.”
He felt that his father’s high-IQ genes had been passed down to Nuonuo to some extent.
Auntie Wu didn’t know what they had learned, but seeing the eldest young master’s approval, she was also happy in her heart. “Is that so? Is Nuonuo going to be a little scientist in the future! Then wouldn’t he be just like our eldest young master?”
Auntie Wu hadn’t had much contact with Fei Han. Occasionally, when she went to call him down for a meal, she could see Fei Han sitting upright at his desk, flipping through a thick book. And he was only seventeen, but had already graduated with a master’s degree. How high must his academic level be!
Hearing Auntie Wu’s exaggerated praise, Fei Han’s earlobes were tinged with a thin layer of pink. He coughed lightly and barely suppressed the discomfort in his heart. “It’s alright. Nuonuo will have to work hard in the future. He can come to my lab after he graduates.”
In the course of their conversation, Fei Han had already set Nuonuo’s future path, not at all considering the little silly one’s actual situation.
And Nuonuo was still blinking his eyes, chewing on a long piece of green vegetable in his mouth like a little rabbit. It took him a long time to finish, and his little mouth was all oily. “Work with brother, ya?”
In Nuonuo’s mind, he would also be wearing a white lab coat, and together with his brother, he would be riding a little motorcycle back and forth with a thump, thump.
At this thought, Nuonuo couldn’t help but swing his little legs excitedly.
“What are you talking about?”
Fei Jing, who had just finished his engagement, walked in. Hearing Nuonuo’s words, his superior brows raised slightly as he looked at Fei Han.
“We were talking about Nuonuo’s studies…”
Fei Han briefly explained Nuonuo’s learning situation in the morning, his expression faintly revealing a hint of pride.
And Fei Jing, who had just taken a bite of rice, was almost choked to death by Fei Han’s words. “Cough, cough. What book did you say you read to him? Mechanical what?”
Fei Han glanced at Fei Jing and unhurriedly said the title of the book. “The Principles of Mechanics, written by Hoss. Haven’t you read it?”
Fei Jing took a deep breath, trying to hold back his laughter, and shook his head. “I haven’t read it. Not only have I not read it, but probably most people will never open it once in their lifetime.”
Hearing this, Fei Han frowned and said with a bit of surprise, “Then have they graduated from primary school? Has the level of basic education in Yunzhou dropped so much?”
Fei Jing took a sip of cold water to calm himself down. Otherwise, looking at his eldest brother’s “worldly-unaware” appearance, he would have can’t help but hit someone. “Eldest Brother, I’ve always thought you were very smart. It seems that all difficult problems are a piece of cake for you…”
As he spoke, Fei Jing couldn’t help but pause. “But I never expected that in some aspects, you’re as silly as Nuonuo.”
Fei Han: “…”
The little silly Nuonuo lifted his head, blinked his eyes, and looked at his second brother with a dazed expression. “Me, ya?”
Fei Jing finished his water, and his slender fingertips tapped Nuonuo’s little nose. “You, ya.”
Fei Han’s brow furrowed tightly. He wasn’t really completely clueless. After a little thought, he knew that there was probably a problem with his common sense.
It seemed that the kindergarten level was much lower than he had thought. Fei Han’s left hand, which was on his knee, unconsciously clenched, his thin lips pressed into a straight line, and his originally slightly pink ear tips were now so red they could drip blood.
Having made such a big fool of himself, Fei Han’s eating speed also quickened a lot. Before the others could react, he had put down his chopsticks.
And Nuonuo, who had been eating nonstop, also successfully finished his lunch. He stretched out his little hands, wanting his eldest brother to hold him. “Brother, go to sweep, sweep, ya!”
Fei Han’s figure, which was about to leave, paused for a moment. He turned his head slightly and said to Nuonuo, “Let Fei Jing take you to sleep.”
Fei Jing, who had only just eaten halfway, saw his eldest brother’s slightly embarrassed steps, his usually meticulous lifestyle seeming to have been disrupted, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but lift slightly. “Eldest Brother, aren’t you going to have some fruit before you go?”
Fei Jing’s mischievous streak was acting up again. He shouted at Fei Han’s retreating back.
Seeing Fei Han directly trip on a step, a hint of a smile suddenly appeared in Fei Jing’s light-colored eyes.
And Nuonuo, who was still holding an orange in his hand, his mouth full of juice from sucking on it, also imitated his second brother’s words and said in his milky voice, “Eldest Brother, eat an owange, ya!”
Hearing Nuonuo’s words, Fei Jing’s smile widened a few degrees. He rubbed Nuonuo’s head and said softly, “You’re silly, but sometimes you’re quite clever.”
Hearing this, Nuonuo frowned his little brow and pouted unhappily. “I’m not siwwy, ya.”
“Alright, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t always say Nuonuo.”
Nuonuo didn’t argue and continued to happily eat his orange.
Halfway through, 006, who hadn’t been online for two days, suddenly spoke up. “Nuonuo, I have enough energy! I can come out!”
Nuonuo also let out a small “wow.” “Then Liuliu, you come out quickly. We can eat oranges together.”
006 was also very excited. Last time at Gu Ze’s house, he had watched helplessly as Nuonuo swallowed a large mouthful of energy. Before he could even say a word, he was almost stuffed to death by this ball of energy.
Because he was afraid that Nuonuo would encounter danger while traveling through space, 006 had bound Nuonuo with the highest level of contract, even sharing energy. So most of the energy Nuonuo had swallowed had gone directly to 006’s energy bank.
But unfortunately, this ball of energy was too mixed, just like the energy that had inexplicably appeared last time. 006 had been offline for more than two days before it finally finished absorbing the energy.
Without having time to say much to Nuonuo, 006 instructed him, “Nuonuo, you find a place where there are no outsiders. I’m going to shut down all my programs and materialize!”
Nuonuo quickly hummed in agreement, turned his little head to look left and right, and stretched out his little hands to Fei Jing. “Brother, let’s go to the bedroom, ya!”
Fei Jing had also just finished his last bite of food. He picked up the little one and, with a light laugh, flicked his little nose. “Alright, seeing how cute you are.”
And so, Nuonuo happily swung his little legs and was carried upstairs by Fei Jing.
But driven by curiosity, Fei Jing stopped at the top of the stairs. “How about we go to Eldest Brother’s bedroom? I want to see that mechanical book.”
How simple could it be to make Fei Han think a child could understand it?
Nuonuo thought for a moment and nodded his head. “Okay, ya.”
Liuliu said there shouldn’t be any outsiders present. But Eldest Brother and Second Brother are not outsiders!
The system is so done for!
