Chapter 118: The Snowman
On the ski slope, Ji Bin slid down from the top at a flying speed.
Nuonuo, seeing that Brother Ji had already run so far, quickly turned his little face, pointed his little finger at Ji Bin, who had become a small black dot, and said anxiously to his brother, “He’s gone!”
Fei Han saw Ji Bin’s behavior of ignoring the rules of the race, his lips slightly pressed down, and he put on his goggles with a dark look in his eyes. “Then let’s go too.”
With that, Fei Han took Nuonuo and slid down from the top of the slope.
The moment they were sliding at a flying speed, the wind that had originally stopped cut against Nuonuo’s little face like a knife, making his already flushed cheeks even redder.
His eyes could only be slightly squinted in the wind, and Nuonuo’s mouth was tightly pursed, afraid of letting in a single bit of wind.
In the corner of his little eyes, the scenery between heaven and earth was rapidly retreating, leaving only a snow-colored afterimage.
At this moment, the thrill of the rapid descent had already covered all other emotions. Nuonuo only felt that his little heart was about to jump out of his throat.
In comparison, the speed at which he had just been skiing by himself was almost like a little tortoise moving.
The icy cold snow particles landed on Nuonuo’s little face, but he didn’t have time to care. His eyes were just fixed on the figure of Brother Ji in front of him.
When Ji Bin occasionally looked back and saw Fei Han and Nuonuo flying towards him, his heart let out a “holy shit,” and he quickly pushed off with his poles and skied forward.
But his skill level was more than one level lower than Fei Han’s. No matter how hard he tried, he could only watch as the one big and one small person swooshed past him.
Nuonuo’s small figure overlapped with Ji Bin’s for a moment, and then they separated in the next second.
Tilting his little head, looking at Brother Ji, who was now trailing behind him, Nuonuo’s tightly pursed little mouth couldn’t help but lift, his eyes so bright they seemed to be filled with the sunlight from the sky.
“Brother Ji, we’re off, ya!”
Nuonuo waved his little hand, his eyes so happy they curved into a crescent moon shape.
Ji Bin looked at the little one’s milky voice, smiled, and couldn’t help but let out a light “hmph.”
Fei Han, who was mainly responsible for skiing, had his bangs blown up by the wind. Seeing the light jumping in Nuonuo’s eyes, the corners of his lips, which had just been pressed down, also lifted slightly at this moment.
Before, skiing was all about experiencing speed and excitement. This time, with Nuonuo, it was already the slowest Fei Han had ever skied.
But the pounding heart still composed a fierce symphony, constantly playing in Fei Han’s ear, making him feel a lighter and more soaring mood than ever before.
The fine snowflakes, at some point, began to drift in the air again, landing on Fei Han’s forehead, but they were melted by his scorching skin.
The coldness could no longer melt the heat in Fei Han’s heart.
After all, by his side, there was already a little sun.
By the time Nuonuo was brought to the finish line by his brother, the snowflakes were falling faster and faster. A few strands of Nuonuo’s hair, which were not covered by his hat, were covered in a few snowflakes.
Shaking his little head, Nuonuo shook off the snowflakes that had fallen on his head and body, and then happily raised his little hands and said cheerfully, “Brother, we won!”
Fei Han was taking off his equipment. Hearing this, although he didn’t look up, the corners of his eyes were soft.
Ji Bin, who had skied over a little later, took two deep breaths, put his hands on his hips, and let out a huff before saying, “I admit defeat. From now on, my ski resort, Nuonuo, you can come whenever you want!”
“Yay!”
Nuonuo didn’t even hear clearly what Ji Bin had said in the snow, just cheered for winning the race.
In the silver-white world where snowflakes were flying, a little milky dumpling was jumping up and down, celebrating his victory.
After returning from the ski resort, winter had taken over everything in the most conspicuous and rapid way.
The temperature dropped below zero. Nuonuo put his little hands in his pockets, a small scarf wrapped several times around his neck, his entire little face revealing only his two dark eyes.
The kindergarten had had a holiday for the past two days, and Nuonuo, who didn’t have to suffer from homework, was woken up early in the morning by Lei Xiaoyan and the others and dragged downstairs to have a snowball fight.
Nuonuo, who was dressed very clumsily, took small steps and slowly moved out of the living room.
But the moment he went out, he was hit in the face by a gust of wind carrying snowflakes.
Shrinking his little shoulders, just as Nuonuo was about to go back, he was pushed out by Lei Xiaoyan and, without any room for argument, was pulled into the snowball fight.
Lei Xiaoyan was not afraid of any wind or rain. He, who prided himself on being a little man, didn’t even wear gloves. His two chubby little paws held a super-large snowball, his hands and the tip of his nose red from the cold, as he chased after Nuonuo and Zhou Xiaole.
Now Nuonuo couldn’t be bothered with the cold either. He toddled around the yard with his little feet, afraid that Lei Xiaoyan would hit him with the snowball.
As he ran, the heat came up, and Nuonuo’s little eyes also lit up. He hid behind a large tree that had lost all its leaves and, with his gloved, chubby little hands, dug at the snow, wanting to make a small round ball.
Unfortunately, his gloves were too thick. The moment his little hands dug up a little snow, before he could even lift it, the snow fell down.
Nuonuo stuck his bottom out and continued to dig at the snow with his two little hands without giving up. After a long while, he huffed and puffed and finally made an irregular sphere.
Having an “attack weapon,” Nuonuo quickly stood up, ran out from behind the tree, and, with a little “ah,” joined the battle.
But in the next second, Nuonuo turned around again and was chased by Lei Xiaoyan, who was holding a huge snowball. He still held his mini snowball in his hand, closed his little eyes, and ran around in a daze.
After the snowball fight, all three children had a head full of snow and sat in the living room while Auntie Wu helped them wipe their heads.
Gu Ze came late. By the time he arrived, the snowball fight was already over, and Nuonuo was sitting on the sofa, slowly gnawing on a little cookie.
“Nuonuo, let’s go build a snowman!”
In the winter, Gu Ze’s skin was a shade whiter than in the summer. He was wearing a blue plaid scarf, just like Lei Xiaoyan’s, and was fair and very likable.
Lei Xiaoyan tugged at his crooked scarf, wondering to himself if he and Gu Ze were wearing the same style. How come the other person looks so good?
Nuonuo’s scarf was bright yellow. He was very fond of bright and vibrant colors, and no matter when, the colors on his body always made him stand out at a glance.
In the all-silver-white winter, his lively colors were as vibrant as if it were summer.
Nuonuo nodded his head, slid off the sofa, and even tilted his little face up. “I’m going to build Papa and my brothers! I’m going to build four snowmen!”
Gu Ze nodded and, taking his hand, agreed. “Then I’ll help you.”
Hearing that there was something to play, Lei Xiaoyan quickly followed. “I’m going too, I’m going too!”
And so, the few of them, who had just rested for a short while, ran to the yard again to build a snowman.
The villa’s own yard was also big enough. The few of them used small shovels or their hands to roll the snowball bigger and bigger. Finally, they made a chubby body, piled a slightly smaller snowball on top, and made a four-sided snowman.
Although the snowman was ugly, Nuonuo still happily ran to his bedroom, wanting to take out his brother’s and papa’s scarves to wrap around the four snowmen of different sizes.
When he went to his third brother Fei Luo’s bedroom, the moment Nuonuo poked his little head out, Fei Luo quickly put the things on his desk into the drawer.
His heart suddenly contracted. After recovering, Fei Luo let out a small breath and then asked, “Nuonuo, what is it?”
Nuonuo tilted his head in confusion and looked at his third brother, but thinking of his purpose, he crinkled his eyes and asked, “Brother, where is your scarf? I want to wrap it around the little snowman third brother in the yard.”
Fei Luo didn’t get up, just blinked his eyes and pointed to his closet. “It’s there.”
Nuonuo twisted his chubby little body and walked over, stood on his tiptoes to take out the scarf, and then excitedly ran down.
Before he left, Nuonuo even invited his third brother to go down and see the little snowman he had built.
Fei Luo, on the other hand, shook his head lightly. “I’m still busy. I’ll go later.”
Hearing this, Nuonuo didn’t mind and, holding the four scarves like a little whirlwind, happily ran downstairs.
In the yard, Lin Mian, who had just arrived, was boasting. “I can build a house with snow by myself! A small snowball like this, I can make several with one hand!”
Lei Xiaoyan and Zhou Xiaole were still grinning foolishly, bouncing around Lin Mian and asking, “Brother Lin Mian, do you really know the Snow Queen?”
“You even ate with the Armored Little Superman?!”
Lin Mian put his hands on his hips, swept his slightly longer hair back, and lifted his face to the sun with confidence, letting out a light scoff. “What’s that? Nuonuo knows, I even blew up a laboratory!”
“Wow!”
“Brother Lin Mian, you’re so amazing!”
On this side, Lin Mian was enjoying the sparkling, admiring gazes of the three-year-old children. On that side, Nuonuo, holding the scarves, ran down and, standing on his tiptoes, wrapped them around the little snowmen one by one.
Finally, all four little snowmen were wearing scarves. Nuonuo touched the scarf on his own neck with his little hands and happily swung his little feet.
The sky in winter was always covered by large patches of dark clouds. In the evening, the sun would only briefly come out for a moment.
The warm orange, even slightly pink, light fell on the snow-covered ground, casting a bit of warmth on the cold white snow.
Fei Zhiyan was pinching his forehead and looking at documents in the car. When he looked up again, he saw several large and small snowmen standing in the courtyard outside the car.
Thinking that it must be Nuonuo’s masterpiece, Fei Zhiyan’s lips couldn’t help but lift slightly.
Stepping out of the car, Fei Zhiyan walked straight into the villa as usual.
But today, there was no bouncing little dumpling waiting for him at the door.
Frowning in confusion, Fei Zhiyan’s gaze fell on the last little snowman.
Nuonuo had a ball of snow on his hat and was wearing a white down jacket, standing there motionless, pretending to be a little snowman.
Pretending to be a snowman, ahhh so cuteee
