Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 45: Kindness Part 1

The muzzle was something Fu Si Heng had spotted while picking out swimsuits for Tao Zhi.

Fu Si Heng still thought about that day when Tao Zhi soaked in the hot springs, wearing a women’s swimsuit under his bathrobe.

Was it a bikini, a one-piece, or a separate style?

The more he couldn’t see it, the more he obsessed over it.

As a result, whenever he had free time, Fu Si Heng browsed swimsuit styles, imagined them on Tao Zhi, and even bought a few sets, which he hid at home. He hadn’t given them to Tao Zhi yet.

But there would be an opportunity.

That was how the muzzle appeared—while he searched for swimsuits on a shopping platform.

It was very strange.

The keywords were completely different, yet this thing popped up abruptly.

And it happened right when Tao Zhi had promised Fu Si Heng he would return three days early.

The moment he saw the muzzle, Fu Si Heng already knew how to convince Tao Zhi to stay over.

The old man’s schemes were truly numerous.

“Brother Fu, I don’t have a dog.” Tao Zhi held the muzzle and examined it for a good while, still not understanding Fu Si Heng’s intention.

Fu Si Heng glanced at him sideways.

As the red light changed, the car passed through the intersection, and Fu Si Heng smiled. “No dog?”

“Really none?”

“Uh…” Tao Zhi didn’t think there was anything wrong with his answer, but Fu Si Heng’s tone was odd, like teasing. “No, what’s up?”

How could a university student living in a dorm possibly keep a dog?

Tao Zhi’s eyes remained clear and bewildered, unable to grasp Fu Si Heng’s words.

“I can wear this muzzle the whole time until we head out tomorrow.” Fu Si Heng finally explained clearly. “You don’t want to stay over at my place either because you’re afraid I won’t keep my promise, or because you’re scared I’ll keep kissing you.”

“What do you think of this solution?” Fu Si Heng asked for his opinion.

Ah…

Tao Zhi opened his mouth.

He looked at Fu Si Heng, then down at the muzzle in his hand, his face full of disbelief.

Truthfully, he had even suspected it wasn’t just a simple muzzle—for instance, maybe the metal grid was made of silver… no, something even more expensive than silver, and the leather wasn’t ordinary either.

It looked like a muzzle but was actually a luxury item, for decoration or collection.

City people were just that weird; it was normal for him not to understand.

Tao Zhi had considered all those possibilities, yet he never imagined that Fu Si Heng intended to wear the muzzle himself.

…Wasn’t that too humiliating?

“Brother Fu, this is for dogs.” Tao Zhi tried to remind him. “I saw one on the subway once; the dog was wearing it, exactly like this. It’s not for people.”

“Mm.” Fu Si Heng didn’t care at all.

Tao Zhi: “…”

Tao Zhi grew even more confused.

City people were truly, extremely strange.

Tao Zhi felt that putting an animal’s thing on a person was deeply humiliating, but when Fu Si Heng heard him, he actually smiled.

Though the smile wasn’t obvious, the upward curve of his lips was still caught by Tao Zhi.

Tao Zhi held the muzzle, a bit at a loss.

“Strictly speaking, this isn’t entirely for dogs.” Fu Si Heng told him.

“Hm?”

Tao Zhi immediately wore an expression of earnest curiosity.

What Fu Si Heng had bought was actually a sensual version. Compared to a real muzzle, its craftsmanship was more exquisite, designed to fit a human face better.

At least it wouldn’t look too ugly when worn.

Though it still resembled a dog cage in appearance, this deliberate design emphasized restraint and humiliation, creating a different kind of thrill and arousal.

Fu Si Heng didn’t mind it at all. In fact, thinking of that image even excited him a little.

He suppressed a swallow, his fingers tightening slightly on the steering wheel.

“You don’t need to worry about those details.” Fu Si Heng didn’t continue and changed the subject instead. “I don’t care about that stuff. You just need to tell me if this makes you feel more at ease.”

Alright.

Tao Zhi thought about it seriously.

“It does, but…” Tao Zhi pursed his lips.

“Okay.” Fu Si Heng understood.

He turned the steering wheel, and the car headed toward his home. Fu Si Heng occasionally glanced sideways, seeing Tao Zhi’s innocent confusion mixed with his efforts to study it, and found him truly adorable.

He really was such an obedient, studious little baby full of curiosity.

While Tao Zhi studied it, the car entered the residential complex. Tao Zhi looked up at his surroundings, opened his mouth, and turned to Fu Si Heng beside him.

The car drove into the underground parking garage and came to a stop. Fu Si Heng leaned over, nodding at the still-shocked Tao Zhi, gesturing for him to put on the muzzle.

Tao Zhi: “…”

Tao Zhi was a very obedient university student.

Though he couldn’t quite understand what went on in Fu Si Heng’s head to make him do something so bizarre, understanding or not, he still raised his hand.

He did as told.

His slender, beautiful fingers brought the muzzle close to Fu Si Heng. The silver metal grid felt cool and cold. Tao Zhi carefully fitted the cage to Fu Si Heng’s face and fastened it under his sharp jawline.

The leather strap went through the black hair.

Click.

After securing the muzzle, Tao Zhi stared at Fu Si Heng for a good while. “This doesn’t feel right.”

He still thought it was too humiliating.

Perhaps because Fu Si Heng had black hair and a black suit, and the dog he’d seen on the subway had been black too, with the muzzle on, Tao Zhi really felt like Fu Si Heng had turned into that big dog from the subway.

Treating a person like a dog was too weird.

Tao Zhi thought it was better not to do this.

He was about to speak up and ask Fu Si Heng to take it off when Fu Si Heng suddenly leaned toward him.

The cool grid touched Tao Zhi’s nose. Tao Zhi froze slightly and lifted his eyes.

Fu Si Heng truly couldn’t reach him now; the muzzle blocked the kiss, but his hot, heavy breaths still came through.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
