Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 47: Like Part 1

Tao Zhi had previously told Fu Si Heng that their relationship could not be known to Fu Zheng.

Fu Si Heng had asked for the reason back then, and Tao Zhi’s answer was that if his good friend got together with his older brother, Fu Zheng might feel unhappy and experience a feel left out. Moreover, their brotherly relationship seemed poor, so it was better not to stir up trouble. They could tell him later when there was a better opportunity.

It was barely a passable excuse.

Although Fu Si Heng knew this was probably the little fool’s plan.

But to be hooked, he agreed. As Tao Zhi wished, they temporarily kept their dating a secret.

He cooperated very well, but Tao Zhi himself panicked and teetered on the edge of exposure.

This flustered demeanor did not look like he was worried about Fu Zheng’s psychological gap at all. Instead, it looked like he was afraid of being caught cheating.

Tsk.

This inexplicable feeling of being the third wheel made Fu Si Heng a bit unhappy. Especially in this situation, it really looked like an affair being discovered by the official boyfriend, trapping them in the room with no way out.

But on what grounds did Fu Zheng have the right?

He could not even make it onto the table.

Fu Si Heng rubbed his fingers together, feeling a bit jealous.

Being kept a secret by Tao Zhi was very stifling.

“I-I…”

Tao Zhi belatedly realized something was off.

His reaction was too big, very strange, and Fu Si Heng also seemed unhappy.

Tao Zhi wondered if he should explain, but he could not think of any words to explain right now. Especially with Fu Zheng still pressing the doorbell outside, the ding-dong sounds completely disrupting Tao Zhi’s thoughts.

While he was at a loss, his palm was suddenly kissed.

The man pressed his palm closer, his thin lips touching it with a soft kiss.

“…?”

Tao Zhi looked at him in confusion, not understanding what Fu Si Heng wanted to do.

At this urgent moment, with someone blocking them in the house, did Fu Si Heng still have the mood for this?

“Brother Fu…” Tao Zhi opened his mouth.

Could he help send Fu Zheng away first? Then he could make up an excuse… no, explain.

Before he could say the latter part, Fu Si Heng interrupted him.

Fu Si Heng pulled down his hand and suddenly asked a strange question: “Who do you like?”

“Huh? Huh…” Tao Zhi was stunned, completely baffled.

“Hm? Who do you like?” Fu Si Heng asked again: “Me or Fu Zheng?”

?

What?

What kind of strange question was this?

Tao Zhi looked puzzled, not understanding Fu Si Heng’s intention, and even less why Fu Zheng was an option in liking.

“I like you.”

He did not understand, but he answered seriously, and it was a matter of course.

Hadn’t he come to “like” Fu Si Heng?

What did it have to do with Fu Zheng?

What an absurd choice.

Tao Zhi quickly said: “I’m just worried he’ll get angry, nothing else.”

“If he catches us together, it’ll be too sudden for him, and he’ll be angry.”

After a pause, Tao Zhi said softly: “You know Fu Zheng’s temper.”

“Okay, I got it.” Tao Zhi’s answer satisfied Fu Si Heng.

So, the official boyfriend was still the official boyfriend.

The one outside was just a roommate.

Be magnanimous.

“If you don’t want to be discovered, go hide.” Fu Si Heng ruffled his hair: “I’ll send Fu Zheng away.”

“Yes, yes, yes.” Tao Zhi nodded repeatedly.

Great, Fu Si Heng was willing to help. Tao Zhi quickly pushed the luggage and prepared to hide in a room.

He originally planned to hide on the first floor, but then thought it was too close and dangerous, so he laboriously carried the luggage up to the second floor.

He hid the luggage in the room where he had stayed the night before, while Tao Zhi himself hid behind the landing, wanting to see what Fu Zheng had come for.

Seeing that Tao Zhi had hidden well, Fu Si Heng went to open the door.

“What the hell are you doing? You saw me coming and closed the door.” As soon as Fu Zheng entered, he was like a firecracker, his tone aggressive, frowning, looking displeased everywhere.

He knew Fu Si Heng lived alone here, and the housekeeping only came on Wednesdays and Saturdays, not at this time.

Moreover, housekeeping would not close the door upon seeing him.

Who the hell dared to block him outside?

Except Fu Si Heng.

Always provoking him.

Although Fu Zheng did not see anyone, he felt it was Fu Si Heng.

Pretending not to be home to make him come in vain?

Not a chance!

“State your business.” Fu Si Heng already disliked Fu Zheng, and now with Tao Zhi in between, he could not even bear to look at him.

Fu Zheng: “.”

Fu Zheng: “Money.”

Fu Si Heng: “?”

“Tuition fees.” Fu Zheng was full of impatience: “Mom said you’d give me two hundred thousand, for tuition and living expenses.”

“She told you yesterday.”

That was why Fu Zheng came now.

So damn annoying.

Standing in Fu Si Heng’s house, Fu Zheng felt uncomfortable everywhere. Not to mention having to ask him for money.

Soon Fu Si Heng would mock him.

In the past, with Fu Zheng’s temper, he absolutely would not come.

But…

Tsk.

As expected, Fu Si Heng’s reaction upon hearing this was about what Fu Zheng expected.

A sneer, mockery.

“You have money.” Fu Si Heng’s voice was flat: “That sports car of yours must sell for seven or eight million at least.”

“None of your business.” Fu Zheng’s face was tense.

No matter how much a young master could spend, it would not be a million in half a month.

He had money, but he should take what was due to him for free.

Two hundred thousand taken back could at least make a splash on Tao Zhi’s head. Why let Fu Si Heng benefit?

This was what Fu Si Heng owed him.

Moreover…

Fu Zheng’s eyes darkened, and unusually, he did not argue with Fu Si Heng: “Cut the crap, give it or not.”

“If not, I’ll tell Mom. Anyway, I’m here today.”

“You have the nerve to ask for money.” Fu Si Heng tugged at his lips, took out his phone, and transferred the money to Fu Zheng.

“Alright, get lost.” Fu Si Heng said coldly: “Next time, call directly. Don’t come bother me in person.”

“Fuck, you think I want to come find you.” With these words from Fu Si Heng, Fu Zheng could not hold back.

His face turned extremely ugly: “You think I can get through to you?”

“Do I need to remind you that you’ve blacklisted me for half a year?!”

Fu Si Heng: “.”

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
