Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 6: Clumsy Part 2

Fu Si Heng wore a Patek Philippe, while he had nearly lost face in front of an idiot over a mere 13,888.

Fu Zheng gritted his teeth in hatred.

“Anything else?” Fu Si Heng asked flatly.

Meaning: If not, don’t stick around being a nuisance.

Fu Zheng took another deep breath.

Finally, on to the main event.

“That’s it, bro.”

“There’s a pool up front. I’m gonna go swim. This is my classmate—he’s here alone and pretty bored. Mind keeping an eye on him for me?”

With that, Fu Zheng stood up, deliberately pulling Tao Zhi to his feet and shoving him onto the same sofa as Fu Si Heng.

“…”

At this moment, Fu Si Heng finally gave Fu Zheng a look.

He turned his head, his gaze skipping past Fu Zheng in front and landing on Tao Zhi behind him.

The soft, pale curve of his neck.

…So tense.

Like a violin string.

What a beautiful neck, with black hair cascading down the side.

Pure as could be.

His gaze quickly withdrew.

“Oh.” His fingers on his knee fidgeted unconsciously as Fu Si Heng responded indifferently.

Fu Zheng left.

Now it was his turn.

Before leaving, Fu Zheng shot him a meaningful glance. Tao Zhi pondered it and figured it meant succeed or else. But he had no clue what “success” even looked like.

Did Fu Zheng want him to hook Fu Si Heng tonight?

So tough.

Tao Zhi’s head throbbed. He had no idea what to do.

His mind raced through the web novels he had read recently for tips, but before he could come up with anything, he felt a gaze land on him.

Tao Zhi looked up instinctively, meeting Fu Si Heng’s eyes.

Dark pupils, icy expression.

Just one glance made Tao Zhi shrink under the pressure and lower his eyes.

It felt just like back in middle or high school, slacking off quietly until the classroom suddenly went silent. He looked up and locked eyes with the teacher at the front.

Terrifying.

This sensation made Tao Zhi sit up even straighter unconsciously.

His posture was already very proper and obedient.

Hands resting on his thighs, fingers pressing down the hem of his skirt, tugging it slowly and tensely downward.

Fu Si Heng’s gaze followed Tao Zhi’s little movements.

The skirt was a bit short, leaving a section of thigh exposed.

His thighs had a soft, plump feel, while his calves were straight and well-proportioned. His ankles were fair and delicate as jade.

For a girl, his height was quite tall—probably over 175 cm.

His fingers tugged the skirt down further, either from nerves or—

“Cold?” Fu Si Heng suddenly spoke.

“Huh?… Ah.” At first, Tao Zhi did not realize Fu Si Heng was talking to him. He blanked for a few seconds, then looked up and noticed they were the only two around the sofa. He nodded hurriedly like a pecking chick. “Y-Yeah, a little cold.”

He immediately felt his performance was lacking.

In a small voice, he added, “Not very cold, just a tiny bit.”

Fu Si Heng: “Oh.”

Fu Si Heng had not planned to engage with him. No one would knowingly jump into an obvious trap like an idiot.

It was too stupid.

Especially such a poorly disguised one.

It lowered his IQ just looking at it.

But he had spoken first, and the other had answered. Ignoring him now would seem rude.

The Fu family already had one rude person in Fu Zheng—that was embarrassing enough.

Yeah, that was it.

With that in mind, Fu Si Heng took off his suit jacket and handed it over.

Tao Zhi: “?”

Tao Zhi did not take it at first, his eyes full of confusion as he looked at him.

“Cover your legs,” Fu Si Heng reminded him.

“!”

Now he got it.

Tao Zhi quickly said, “Thank you!”

Then, with lightning speed, he draped the expensive suit jacket over his thighs.

That embarrassing, weird feeling faded a lot with the coverage.

Plus, since it was freshly removed, it still carried Fu Si Heng’s body heat.

A bit warm.

The warmth from his legs seemed to spread to his heart, and he sincerely thanked Fu Si Heng again.

Tao Zhi was a very pure person.

Even the slightest kindness from others made him think they were great, and he would flash a shy, grateful smile.

When he smiled, shallow dimples appeared on his cheeks.

It was the kind of cute, sincere, healing smile.

But it had zero effect on Fu Si Heng.

His expression remained neutral, completely unmoved.

Tao Zhi did not mind.

He had only expressed genuine thanks; he was not trying to seduce Fu Si Heng with a smile.

After thanking him, Tao Zhi figured he could segue into some casual chat.

But before he could open his mouth, someone else interrupted.

“Let me tell you, Andy just came up to me and said—oh, what’s this?” Wei Yu had been held up chatting at the door earlier and only now came to find Fu Si Heng.

He did not see Fu Zheng next to Fu Si Heng but spotted the girl Fu Zheng had brought.

Uh… sitting right beside Fu Si Heng?

Wei Yu froze, staring at Tao Zhi for a good while.

Tao Zhi also looked up at him.

They had met before.

Earlier at the club entrance, when Fu Zheng called Wei Yu and he came out to meet them, they had a brief encounter.

Fu Zheng had indeed been rude.

Back then, Wei Yu had stared at Tao Zhi with an expression screaming who’s this pretty girl? But Fu Zheng not only refused to introduce him, he dragged the guy aside and blocked any talking or looking.

So now, he finally had a chance to say hi.

“Hey, you’re the friend Fu Zheng brought, right?” Wei Yu said to Tao Zhi. “I’m… well, kinda like Fu Zheng’s bro too. Name’s Wei Yu.”

“You can call me Wei-ge along with him.”

Tao Zhi nodded.

As Wei Yu spoke, he extended a hand. Tao Zhi quickly stood, shook it politely, and said softly, “Hi… Wei-ge.”

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
