Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 11: Ruthlessness Part 1

Tao Zhi clutched his phone in bewilderment for quite a while.

Why had he suddenly asked if he liked them?

There were so many skirts.

All kinds of styles.

Even just looking at the pictures, he could tell they were expensive—completely different from his ten-yuan T-shirts and pants.

Tao Zhi didn’t dare reply carelessly. He was afraid that saying the wrong thing would ruin Fu Zheng’s plan. In his eyes, these rich people were all pretty strange.

So, Tao Zhi was extremely cautious. He forwarded all the chat records from that day with Fu Si Heng to Fu Zheng and asked him how he should reply.

But what was even stranger was that the more urgent the situation, the slower Fu Zheng was to respond.

He had sent the chat records, but after waiting nearly five minutes with no reply, Tao Zhi anxiously kept glancing toward the door. Yet he couldn’t see any sign of Fu Zheng.

Why hadn’t he come back yet?

Should he go look for him?

Fu Zheng had said he was stepping out for a smoke, so he should be at the stairwell landing or the corridor window.

Tao Zhi had just gotten ready to stand up when his phone rang opportunely, interrupting his movement.

He looked down.

With no reply for so long, Fu Si Heng had sent another message: 【Hm?】

“…”

Fine, he would reply to Fu Si Heng first. It wasn’t right to keep leaving him hanging.

Tao Zhi looked over all the pictures again.

As a guy, he couldn’t really say if he liked girls’ clothes or not. He could only try to view them neutrally. Finally, he carefully replied: 【They’re very pretty.】

But then.

Little Cute Bunny: 【The skirts seem a bit short, though.】

Out of the more than ten sets of skirts, almost half were short skirts.

Another small portion were short dresses.

The length… just barely covering the butt.

Fu Si Heng: 【Short?】

Fu Si Heng: 【I thought you liked wearing short skirts.】

Tao Zhi: Huh?

What massive misunderstanding was this?

Tao Zhi hurriedly denied it: 【No such thing!】

The skirt from yesterday had been picked by Rong Huai. When he first put it on, he had felt it was too short. Later, when he went out with Fu Zheng and walked on the road, he kept feeling a cool draft behind him, which made him extremely uncomfortable.

It was only after using Fu Si Heng’s suit jacket to cover his legs that he felt a bit more at ease, without the worry of exposure.

How could he possibly like wearing short skirts?

Fu Si Heng: 【Oh.】

Immediately after, he sent over several more pictures.

This time, they were all long skirts.

All styles of long skirts—knee-length, nine-points, ankle-length, everything imaginable. Tao Zhi’s eyes went dizzy, and on his phone screen was the familiar line: “So, do you like these?”

Tao Zhi: “…”

Tao Zhi wasn’t the type to assume things about himself, but Fu Si Heng was being so obvious that it was hard not to take it personally.

He clutched his phone for a while before tentatively typing: “Excuse me, are these ones you want to buy for me?”

Fu Si Heng replied quickly: 【Yes.】

Ah…

Tao Zhi was even more bewildered now.

Fu Si Heng was so strange. Why had he suddenly thought of buying skirts for him? Was it because the current ones weren’t good-looking?

Tao Zhi was puzzled and expressed his confusion.

When Fu Si Heng received this message, he first looked up at the ID photo of Tao Zhi on his computer screen.

A gentle, well-behaved little guy.

He looked quiet and shy, smiling at the camera in front of him.

Very cute.

Timid and afraid of trouble, yet loyal.

He had no idea how someone with that personality managed to get along with Fu Zheng.

When he had caught him beating up Fu Zheng, he was clearly terrified to death, yet he didn’t run away. Instead, he braced himself and entered the room.

Cold sweat had broken out all over him.

His neck was so white.

The cold sweat trailed slowly along the lines of his cheeks, landing on his collarbone, teetering, then slipping into his collar.

At this thought, Fu Si Heng’s Adam’s apple bobbed faintly.

And when he was dressed as a girl.

Anyone could see how unaccustomed he was, like he had forgotten how to walk. He stumbled several times, same hand and foot, full of flaws.

So clumsy.

Now even idiots could become scammers?

He had no idea what methods Fu Zheng had used to lure him into doing these things.

Probably money?

Fu Zheng did like doing stuff like this.

At this possibility, Fu Si Heng couldn’t help but scoff.

If that was the case, then money was probably what Fu Zheng lacked the most right now.

Since Fu Zheng couldn’t provide him with good things, his poor little roommate only had that one short skirt to wear back and forth.

In that case, he might as well step in.

It would also let him see just what tricks the fool and the little klutz could pull, and what their ultimate goal was.

So, providing some convenience midway was just a casual thing.

Nothing more.

Fu Si Heng lowered his head and typed: 【No reason, just buying some casually.】

Fu Si Heng: 【Not expensive.】

Hmm.

They probably weren’t expensive for rich people like them.

But Tao Zhi could feel the extravagance radiating from the pictures alone. How could they be cheap?

Yet Fu Si Heng kept asking: 【Do you like them? If you do, I’ll buy them for you.】

To ease Tao Zhi’s worries, he even added proactively: 【I’ll have my assistant deliver them to your school’s security office. You can just pick them up.】

“…”

Tao Zhi scratched his head.

He wasn’t sure if he should accept them.

He had no particular feelings about women’s clothes; they were just tasks assigned by Fu Zheng. He couldn’t say if he liked or disliked them… So, he still needed to ask Fu Zheng.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
