Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 28: Discussion Part 3

He watched the movie quietly, his expression calm, and Tao Zhi’s mood gradually relaxed.

Looks like he just wanted to watch a movie with him, not continue the morning’s topic… His heart finally settled back in his chest.

“Fu-ge, do you want some?” Tao Zhi felt a bit guilty for overthinking about others. To make amends, he offered the popcorn: “Caramel flavor.”

Fu Si Heng turned his head.

The popcorn box was held in front of him, but what caught his eye first were Tao Zhi’s fingers.

Tao Zhi leaned over, his fair, slender fingers gripping the box, giving him a friendly smile.

He really was a bit of a “forgetting pain after healing” type.

Clearly kissed so miserably yesterday, and still wary of getting too close this morning. But not long after, just a bit of gentlemanly behavior, and he forgot all the hardship.

Really…

So cute and endearing.

“I don’t eat it, you eat it.” Fu Si Heng refused the popcorn.

“Okay.” Tao Zhi withdrew his hand and sat back.

He barely watched the movie; Tao Zhi wasn’t interested in this kind of youthful angsty romance and just ate the popcorn to pass the time.

Soon it was almost gone, and Fu Si Heng fed him plum cakes and crispy corners.

Tao Zhi accepted them all.

Seeing he liked them, Fu Si Heng simply handed over the entire snack basket.

Tao Zhi: “…”

“Fu-ge.” Tao Zhi rubbed his nose: “Actually, I…”

He paused, struggling to speak: “I’m not that greedy.”

The movie was just boring, so he… There was no need to give him the whole snack basket.

“What’s wrong with kids being a little greedy?” Fu Si Heng said: “If you like it, eat more.”

“…Kids?” The term made Tao Zhi blink, involuntarily repeating it with a tail of slight doubt and innocent bewilderment, like a hook.

It made Fu Si Heng’s heart tremble slightly.

His face remained impassive.

“Mm.” Fu Si Heng’s heart itched from the hook, his fingers lightly tapping his knee: “I’m ten years older than you. Isn’t it normal to see you as a kid?”

“Oh… Yeah.” Tao Zhi nodded.

Somehow, he was convinced.

Tao Zhi took the snack basket and placed it on his knees.

Such a term was actually unfamiliar to Tao Zhi. As the oldest child at home, he was always told to yield to his sister and take good care of her.

Though it didn’t affect their sibling bond, Tao Zhi was used to being the mature older brother.

Fu Si Heng calling him a kid gave him a novel feeling.

So, in Fu Si Heng’s eyes, he was a kid.

Somehow, he felt inexplicably happy.

Tao Zhi lowered his head to pick out soft candies from the basket—the kind only kids like—chewing while trying to watch the movie.

While eating and watching, when his fingers touched a pack of spicy strips, Fu Si Heng stopped him: “Don’t eat the spicy strips.”

“Huh?” Tao Zhi looked up.

“Your lips are injured; it’s not suitable for spicy things.”

“?” Wh-what!

Suddenly bringing up his mouth again, Tao Zhi was stunned. He looked down at the snack in his hand and immediately tossed it away.

That one sentence made Tao Zhi tense up. He mumbled vaguely and even set the snack basket aside.

So awkward.

Super awkward.

Tao Zhi fidgeted uncomfortably.

“Fu-ge.”

After a while, Tao Zhi actually spoke up first.

He felt this hurdle had to be crossed; otherwise, every time with Fu Si Heng, thinking of it would be awkward—how could they talk?

He still had Fu Zheng’s mission to complete.

The money already in his pocket couldn’t be returned, let alone the part he’d already spent.

Tao Zhi negotiated politely with Fu Si Heng: “Can we not talk about that anymore from now on?”

Worried Fu Si Heng wouldn’t understand, he added: “I mean yesterday’s thing, the one where… my mouth got injured.”

“Oh.” Fu Si Heng asked: “Why?”

“Because it’s embarrassing.” Tao Zhi whispered: “It’s so weird.”

“Is it? I don’t think so.” Fu Si Heng’s expression didn’t change.

Tao Zhi: “…”

How was he supposed to respond?

Tao Zhi opened his mouth.

“But we can discuss why it feels embarrassing.” Fu Si Heng reached out to him: “Come here.”

…Huh?

Talking with Fu Si Heng always made Tao Zhi feel like he couldn’t keep up.

He stared at Fu Si Heng’s outstretched hand for a long time, his expression hesitant, not agreeing immediately.

*As if thinking—

“Mian Mian.” Fu Si Heng called his fake name.

“…”

Fine, maybe after discussing, Fu Si Heng would understand his feelings and stop saying those weird things.

Tao Zhi always believed that sincere treatment of others would yield sincere feedback.

He decided to talk it out properly with Fu Si Heng.

Tao Zhi resolutely stood up.

He pushed Fu Si Heng’s hand aside, originally just planning to sit closer for easier talking. But as he raised his hand, his wrist was gripped, and he was pulled straight onto Fu Si Heng’s lap.

He sat diagonally on Fu Si Heng’s legs. From the surprise, his lips parted slightly. Once he recovered, he hurriedly pushed at him.

“Do you know why it feels embarrassing?” Fu Si Heng tightened his arms, once again firmly encircling Tao Zhi in his embrace.

“…Huh?”

The silly little rabbit was easily distracted.

His movements stopped, naturally looking toward Fu Si Heng.

“It’s because you haven’t kissed enough; that’s why it’s embarrassing.”

“The best way is desensitization. I can help you.”

Fu Si Heng very gentlemanly proposed a solution.

Tao Zhi: “…?”

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
