Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 29: Work Injury Part 2

“Have you decided? Will you say yes?” To keep Tao Zhi from forgetting the matter at hand, Fu Si Heng prompted him: “I thought you’d agree right away.”

…Huh?

Tao Zhi’s gaze turned to him, and Fu Si Heng continued naturally: “Yesterday, you said you hoped I’d like you.”

“No—actually, you begged me to like you.”

Tao Zhi: “…”

Please, can we not bring that up again?

Tao Zhi was mortified, his toes curling into action once more.

On this trip, his toes were the biggest victims.

TvT They were on the verge of cramping from all the digging.

“Are you just messing with me?” Fu Si Heng knew Tao Zhi inside and out—the little fool was putty in his hands.

Sure enough, at those words, Tao Zhi waved his hands frantically: “No, no, I’m not.”

“…Back then, I really did like you.”

“Back then?” Fu Si Heng latched onto the phrasing.

“Um…” Tao Zhi answered as he thought, his words coming out slow: “Because back then—you—”

He paused, and suddenly his eyes lit up.

It was like he’d finally found a solution. The boy who’d been all limp and listless moments ago perked right up—even sitting straighter—as his fingers stayed latched onto Fu Si Heng’s arm. He turned his head and explained.

“Brother Fu, I really do like you, but I’m not at ease with you. I’m scared of what I told you.” Tao Zhi claimed he was scared, but there wasn’t a trace of it in his tone.

Right now, he was just thrilled to have thought of a way—his eyes sparkling bright, dazzling even in the pitch-black surroundings.

“I’m only eighteen, a barely legal female college student.” Tao Zhi said: “Those words of yours feel too distant to me. And besides…”

He cut himself off abruptly.

The young boy wore every emotion on his face, not even bothering to hide a thing—innocent and pure to a fault.

His eyes shifted from sparkling to dazed, then refocused.

His fingers curled tight.

Fu Si Heng could feel every motion clearly, since Tao Zhi was clutching his sleeve.

Such a sudden shift… Fu Si Heng was looking forward to what came next.

“I-I’ve never even been in a relationship.” Tao Zhi mustered his courage, forcing the words out: “I’m, I’m…”

His fingers gripped tighter and tighter as Tao Zhi practically squeezed the words from his throat: “I’m still…”

“?” Fu Si Heng froze, watching Tao Zhi’s lips pout slightly—but no sound came out.

“I-I’m still young, still young, still just a student.” His voice suddenly pitched higher, drowning out what came before. Eyes squeezed shut, Tao Zhi went all-in like he was smashing a jar to pieces: “I can’t accept having sex before marriage. I’m very—I mean, very conservative… That kind of thing is off-limits.”

“Absolutely off-limits…” he stressed again.

With that, Tao Zhi deflated completely, his body swaying.

Luckily, Fu Si Heng’s arm stayed looped around his waist, holding him steady—

“…Ha.” Fu Si Heng couldn’t hold back the laugh.

He threw his head back, fingers pressed to his forehead, leaning against the sofa as he laughed—chest rumbling.

…Not a shred of that mature, aloof CEO vibe left.

Tao Zhi: “…?”

Tao Zhi stared at him, utterly baffled.

“OK, got it.” Fu Si Heng had genuinely lost it just now.

How adorable could he be?

Unbearable.

For the first time, he thought having a little brother wasn’t so bad—otherwise, where else would he have met this little fool Tao Zhi?

“So, dating’s fine, but sleeping together’s a no?” Fu Si Heng confirmed.

“…”

“Y-Yes, yes…” Tao Zhi buried his face and nodded furiously.

Brain overloaded, CPU on the brink of meltdown—he couldn’t even process what Fu Si Heng’s laughter meant.

“No problem.” Fu Si Heng agreed without hesitation.

Tao Zhi looked up.

Staring blankly: “Really?”

Fu Si Heng: “Mm.”

“Then…” Tao Zhi’s eyes finally regained a spark.

Just a little, but enough—the faint flicker in them was beautiful.

His face was still flushed, heat refusing to fade. Fu Si Heng reached up to tuck his hair, brushing the back of his hand against it to check.

Burning hot.

“Then… can we skip kissing too?” Tao Zhi pushed his luck, a new idea forming as he fought for more concessions.

Pure love, please.

A little version of himself was on his knees inside, praying like mad.

“What’s the reason this time?” Fu Si Heng didn’t shut it down outright.

He wanted to hear what Tao Zhi would come up with.

“Because, because when you kiss me…” Tao Zhi licked his lips, eyes darting everywhere, but he pushed to get it all out: “You t-touch me.”

He swallowed hard, face burning hotter: “What if you accidentally…”

“Got it.” Fu Si Heng said: “The pure female college student is afraid I won’t be able to hold back.”

Tao Zhi: “…”

TvT

Fu Si Heng was the worst.

Tao Zhi hated him so much—or at least, that’s what he told himself. In reality, he was clinging to Fu Si Heng’s arm, head down, nodding nonstop.

One nod after another, impossible to stop.

It was kinda hilarious.

Fu Si Heng laughed again.

In an amazing mood now, he reached out after the laughter died down, hooking Tao Zhi’s chin.

The flushed face lifted by the man’s hand.

Now, not only were the corners of his eyes flushed red with shame, but even his eyes were misty.

Pitiful to the extreme.

“What are you doing…” Tao Zhi said weakly, all listless.

“To prove that when we kiss, I won’t grope you randomly.” Fu Si Heng drew close to him.

Their lips met, and soon Fu Si Heng took his lower lip into his mouth.

Because last time he had kissed Tao Zhi’s lips until they split open, Fu Si Heng went much gentler this time.

No longer crushing his lips or launching a fierce assault—instead, he sucked softly on his lip.

The soft candy he’d just eaten was lychee-flavored, and even his lips carried that sweet taste. He wondered if it would be even richer inside his mouth.

Fu Si Heng tried to lick open the seam of his lips, but Tao Zhi kept them clamped tight.

His lips sealed shut, his eyes squeezed closed, his fingers curled tight as they clutched Fu Si Heng’s clothes.

Fu Si Heng held back from pinching his cheeks.

He understood Tao Zhi’s fear, but that didn’t stop him from thinking Tao Zhi was being pretty unfair, stringing him along like this.

The old man could only have a shallow taste. A bit unsatisfied, he started bullying him again.

“How’s that?” He spoke right against Tao Zhi’s lips, his hot breath making Tao Zhi’s eyelashes quiver.

Fu Si Heng said deliberately, “See? I didn’t lie to you, pure female college student.”

…Wuu.

What the hell is with this guy?

Tao Zhi wanted to cry but had no tears—his toes were practically suffering a work injury.

Ah? Me?

Ah? Me?

Status: Completed Native Language: Chinese
Tao Zhi had struggled immensely to make it from the countryside to the big city through sheer hard work on the exams. His family was dirt poor and couldn't afford to send him to university, so he shouldered student loans and scraped by with part-time jobs. He juggled classes and work, heading out early and dragging himself home late, pinching every single yuan until it screamed. Life was brutally tough. Until a rich second-generation heir moved into his dorm as a roommate. The roommate was fierce. Bad-tempered, petty, and loaded with young master syndrome. On his very first day, he bossed Tao Zhi around, making him wash his clothes, polish his shoes, attend classes in his place, and fetch his packages. ...And then handed him a thousand yuan as a hardship fee. Tao Zhi, who had just been inwardly griping about how over-the-top this new roommate was: Huh??? The little money-grubber's eyes lit up. - From that day on, Tao Zhi dutifully stepped up as the rich heir's little lackey. When the roommate ate, he passed the chopsticks. When he drank water, he twisted off the cap. When the roommate bullied someone... he hung back, using his own scrawny frame to prop up the scene. But he didn't quite nail the act and got chewed out for it. That night, he rushed to the library and crammed through over a dozen novels, studying up on how to play the haughty, overbearing lackey. One weekend. Tao Zhi had just returned from the library when he spotted an uninvited guest in the dorm. Dressed in a sharp suit, exuding a cold, imposing aura. The man stood before the roommate, wiping blood from his knuckles. His gleaming leather shoe ground Tao Zhi's god of wealth—his roommate—into the floor. "If I catch you stirring up trouble at school again, you're out." Tao Zhi was petrified. He stood there frozen, not daring to twitch. Only after the man left did he scramble over to help his roommate up. The roommate gritted his teeth, wiped the blood from his nose, and spat at Tao Zhi, word by word: "I order you to seduce my brother, toy with him, then dump him hard. Steal his company's trade secrets while you're at it. I'm seizing power—I want *him* gone!" Tao Zhi: "?" Huh? Tao Zhi's vision went black. Thinking back to the man's icy demeanor, he collapsed straight to the floor and jabbed a finger at himself. "M-Me?" ** Reading Guide: 1. Both pure, mutual first loves.
