But the reality was, he had a date with Fu Si Heng tomorrow afternoon, and only then could he book for the day after. Buying now would be wasteful.
He planned to get a ticket for the day after, but he couldn’t tell Fu Zheng.
Tao Zhi scratched his head, pretending not to hear, and kept sorting his luggage.
Leaving Fu Zheng to glare at his back, grinding his teeth in anger.
Damn Tao Zhi, not even a hint of reluctance.
The winter break was a full month long.
Did Tao Zhi think why he’d stayed at school for a week after break started?
Infuriating.
Tao Zhi: “…”
The gaze on his back was like needles. Tao Zhi didn’t quite get what had upset the young master this time.
So weird.
He shrugged.
–
There had been a little conflict the day before, but it didn’t affect Fu Zheng at all the next morning. He acted like nothing happened and left school with Tao Zhi.
Fu Zheng offered to drive him to the airport, but the suggestion was rejected again by Tao Zhi.
With this happening one after another, the young master’s face had turned quite ugly, but Tao Zhi had no choice.
He couldn’t just go along with it.
Sigh.
Fu Zheng stormed off in a huff, slamming the car door with bangs. Tao Zhi pretended not to hear and, after he left, went to book a room near the school.
He and Fu Si Heng had agreed on three in the afternoon.
With nothing in the morning, Tao Zhi rested at the hotel for a bit. After noon, he ordered takeout for lunch, then took the subway to Rong Huai’s shop.
What a coincidence.
He arrived just as Rong Huai finished lunch and returned to the shop. They met at the door. Seeing him alone, Rong Huai raised a brow. “How come you’re here? Just you? Where’s Fu Zheng?”
Such a hard question right off the bat—Tao Zhi inexplicably felt guilty. “He went home.”
“Oh—” Rong Huai drew out the sound.
Tao Zhi wasn’t sure if he’d seen through anything, but that following smile felt profoundly meaningful.
“Come in.” Rong Huai pushed open the glass door.
Tao Zhi followed him inside and heard Rong Huai ask again, “Here for makeup today?”
“Yeah.” Tao Zhi nodded.
After a semester, Tao Zhi and Rong Huai were quite familiar, and he was… fairly used to women’s clothing too.
Though still not entirely natural, it was much better than the first time.
At least now he could accurately tell Rong Huai his needs. “Just simple makeup, enough to look like a girl.”
“OK.” Rong Huai agreed and had Tao Zhi sit in the chair.
The shop had no customers at this hour. Idling anyway, Rong Huai decided to do the makeup himself.
Tao Zhi’s request was simple, but in Boss Rong’s hands, it wasn’t.
Rong Huai was a perfectionist.
Upturned eye tails, pouty lips, milkshake-pink blush… even the nose tip and earlobes weren’t overlooked.
On that fair little face, pink where it should be, white where it should be—the makeup was sheer and natural, the soft colors seeming to seep from the skin itself. At a glance, it was pure yet seductive, leaving even Tao Zhi stunned.
He looked at the mirror, then at Rong Huai, pointing at himself.
Huh? Is this me?
“Of course it’s you.” Rong Huai patted his shoulder. “Want to try colored contacts and eye drops? It’ll give more of that pitiable innocence I love. Your face suits it so well…”
“No need, no need!” Tao Zhi hurriedly cut him off. “This is good enough.”
“Alright.” Rong Huai smiled, not pushing it.
After makeup, Tao Zhi went to the back room to change.
Per Fu Si Heng’s request, for today’s date, he wore the clothes Fu Si Heng bought.
A fluffy blue-gray cape coat, with a thin belt cinching the waist to outline his figure. Far from bulky, it gave off a luxurious young miss vibe.
The cape length was just right, covering the short skirt. Below paired with suede long boots—the shafts hit just below the knee, wrapping slim, long calves and revealing round, delicate knees.
Tao Zhi came out dressed, and Rong Huai had styled the wig too.
Not black straight hair today—chestnut brown with soft waves. Once Tao Zhi put it on, he really looked like some wealthy family’s elegant, noble young lady.
“Brother Rong Huai, thanks for today.” Dressed up, it was nearly time for his meetup with Fu Si Heng.
Tao Zhi didn’t want to be late—that was rude.
He hurriedly said goodbye to Rong Huai. Rong Huai paused a second, wanting to call him back.
But he didn’t.
In a blink, the kid had run off.
Ah.
No idea to wear tights or leg makeup or something.
Worried sick.
The mall Tao Zhi and Fu Si Heng agreed on was five kilometers away—a spot deliberately far from school and the malls Fu Zheng frequented.
Today, he even splurged on a cab.
His heart ached. After buckling up, Tao Zhi checked his phone.
An hour ago, Fu Si Heng had messaged asking if he needed a pickup from school.
Tao Zhi had been busy with makeup and missed it.
Now he replied: [No need, I’m already on the way.]
Fu Si Heng: [Okay.]
About 15 minutes later, they arrived.
As soon as Tao Zhi got out, he spotted Fu Si Heng waiting at the mall entrance from afar.
The man wore a black trench coat, tall and straight—easy to pick out in the crowd.
Tao Zhi jogged over to him.
“Sorry, did I keep you waiting?”
Fu Si Heng turned at the voice.
His stunningly beautiful girlfriend crashed straight into his view.
Different from every previous time—today, she seemed specially dolled up, every strand of hair screaming refinement.
Beautiful, exquisite, perfect.
Fu Si Heng’s gaze started at his forehead and slowly traveled down.
Smooth forehead, pink-tipped nose and lips, slender white fingers hanging at his side.
And…
The round, cute knees peeking from under the hem, that sliver of skin impossible to look away from.
He’s seducing me.
Fu Si Heng couldn’t help thinking.
And not on Fu Zheng’s orders either.
Because when Tao Zhi agreed, he’d specifically said not to tell Fu Zheng about this meeting.
