Chapter 24:
I—Want—To—Fuck—You. Stay Away From Me.
A gust of wind blew into his ears. Li Ge seemed not to have heard clearly, or perhaps he was too surprised.
He stared at Chen Shuo’s frowning, serious, cold face, and after a few seconds, he suddenly burst out laughing. His gaze towards Chen Shuo changed, filled with amusement and triumph, as if he had unearthed some extremely interesting treasure.
“Haha, I really didn’t misjudge you… amazing.”
The sunlight shone on Li Ge’s flamboyant smile. He laughed so hard that his body leaned forward slightly, his shoulders shaking. Chen Shuo’s lips were tightly pursed, remaining silent, just staring at Li Ge, at his punchable smile, without blinking.
After Li Ge had laughed enough, Chen Shuo’s expression returned to normal, as expressionless as ever, making it impossible to read his emotions.
This laugh made Li Ge feel refreshed, excited, and full of energy. Unfortunately, he had nowhere to use it, wishing he could drag Chen Shuo to a hotel and fuck him for three days and three nights.
Seeing Chen Shuo revert to a silent, stiff robot and turn to leave, Li Ge stepped forward and stopped him, “Wait, say what you just said again.”
Chen Shuo didn’t regret saying what he truly thought, he just kept underestimating Li Ge’s perversion, not expecting his warning to become a catalyst for the other’s excitement.
He calmly refused, “Don’t follow me anymore.”
“Alright, say it again and I won’t follow you.” Li Ge couldn’t suppress his excitement from finding a treasure, his lips constantly curved upwards, his voice filled with laughter.
Chen Shuo regretted not parking his car in the underground garage after returning from the gym this morning. He bypassed Li Ge and headed straight for the open-air parking lot, only to be stopped by Li Ge again.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to kill me?” Li Ge was still smiling, “Quite bold, aren’t you? I really underestimated you, haven’t seen you in half a month, and you give me such a big surprise.”
Afraid that Li Ge would become even more excited and act like a hooligan in public, Chen Shuo reluctantly gave in. After a few seconds of hesitation, he said in a low voice in the cold wind, “Mr. Li, I’m not interested in you, and I don’t have those needs, can you find someone else?”
Having seen Chen Shuo’s true side, Li Ge now looked down on the polite robot.
He put the drink back in his pocket, took out a cigarette and lighter, put a cigarette in his mouth, cupped his hands to light it, then deliberately took two slow drags, just to test the little assistant’s patience, making him wait obediently.
Chen Shuo slightly raised his hand, lifted his sleeve to check the time on his watch. He had already been delayed by Li Ge for several minutes, and He Yan and Yuan Feng were still waiting for him to deliver the report.
“You’re not interested in me,” Li Ge noticed the inexpensive watch on Chen Shuo’s wrist and continued, “What does that have to do with me? It’s enough that I’m interested in you.”
Chen Shuo: “…” As expected.
“And, don’t act like a robot with me.” With the malicious intention of punishing him, Li Ge took a step forward and deliberately blew a puff of smoke in Chen Shuo’s face. The smoke was quickly blown away by the wind.
Caught off guard, Chen Shuo almost choked on the secondhand smoke.
Li Ge’s gaze was provocative, and he asked with a smile, “Are you really frigid? It’s okay, I’ll cure you, no charge.”
Chen Shuo: “…”
Li Ge: “Just kidding.”
Chen Shuo stood there numbly, thinking of the palace drama that was popular all over the internet. The female lead, in front of the late empress’s ancestral tablet, forced the villain to drink a bottle of poison, and the villain died on the spot.
He also wanted to force Li Ge to drink a bottle, wanted his life to return to the state it was in before the New Year. If he hadn’t provided Lin Yuzhi with the audition opportunity, he might never have had to interact with Li Ge in his life.
“I really like you.” After delivering the punishment, Li Ge put out his cigarette and smiled warmly at Chen Shuo, “It’s also the first time I’ve pursued someone for so long. I know what I’m like, I’ve been excessive, but I haven’t seriously pursued anyone before, I used the wrong method, I’m slowly changing. If you think things are moving too fast, I’ll give you time to adapt, we can start by holding hands, I promise I won’t do anything to you.”
Chen Shuo: “…”
Tonight was New Year’s Eve, and Li Ge had deliberately dressed formally to salvage his image. He appeared refined and serious, expressing his true feelings. If any other slut had heard this, they would probably be moved to tears.
Unfortunately, the little assistant didn’t fall for his insincere sweet talk.
At this point, Chen Shuo gave up on further communication.
“I really want to kill you.” He looked at Li Ge and repeated.
Chen Shuo, with his funeral face, made the threat. Li Ge only found it amusing and laughed, commenting with some dissatisfaction, “You’re not as imposing as before, why so listless?”
“Don’t follow me anymore.” After saying this, Chen Shuo quickly walked away.
A man of his word, Li Ge stood still, watching the tall figure walk away, get into the car, and close the door.
He had never fucked someone so aloof. His heart itched unbearably, and he made another note against Chen Shuo, planning to settle the score in bed later.
In the afternoon, Yuan Feng received a text message from Chen Shuo and impatiently paced in the living room. When the doorbell rang, he excitedly went to open the door, only to see Li Ge.
“Hello, brother-in-law!” Li Ge greeted enthusiastically.
Yuan Feng tilted his head and looked behind Li Ge, asking, “Where’s Chen Shuo?”
“I don’t know, haven’t been in touch for a long time.” Li Ge entered the apartment and changed into slippers, “I heard you’ve recovered, I’m here to give you a lesson.”
“Ah, but I don’t want to have a lesson today.” Yuan Feng shared his joy, “Yuanbao passed the checkup! I’m not in the mood for anything else right now, just waiting for Chen Shuo to bring me the report.”
Li Ge: “Congratulations, brother-in-law.”
Yuan Feng: “Thank you, thank you! Since you’re here, stay for dinner tonight.”
Li Ge: “What a coincidence, it’s New Year’s Eve tonight, I have an appointment.”
“Oh, it’s New Year’s Eve tonight, a new year is coming…” Yuan Feng only remembered that tomorrow was New Year’s Day and had forgotten about New Year’s Eve.
“Yeah, if you don’t want to have a lesson, how about I teach you a few practical phrases?” Li Ge suddenly smiled, teasing Yuan Feng, “You can say them to my big brother tonight.”
Yuan Feng had found out from He Yan that Li Ge was a playboy and had a gut feeling that it wouldn’t be anything good, so he refused, “You can keep them for yourself.”
Li Ge: “They’re really nice, don’t you want to learn?”
Yuan Feng shook his head, “It’s definitely not anything good, probably just some dirty talk.”
“…” Li Ge looked innocent, “What dirty talk, I’m just teaching you to say a few sweet nothings in English.”
Yuan Feng: “Forget it, it’s too cheesy.”
Li Ge: “What’s cheesy between you two? You’re already carrying his child, be a bit more thick-skinned, maybe your man will like it.”
Yuan Feng: “You… anyway, I’m not learning.”
“Alright, I’ll go chat with Aunt.” Just as Li Ge finished speaking, the doorbell rang.
The little assistant he had been thinking about had arrived.
Chen Shuo ignored the man beside Yuan Feng and handed the document bag to him, “The checkup report.”
“Thank you.” Yuan Feng felt the chill from Chen Shuo when he reached out and quickly greeted him, “Come in and rest for a while, warm up.”
“No need, I have something else to do.” Chen Shuo deliberately ignored the gaze locked on him and only said to Yuan Feng, “I’ll come over tomorrow to give you your math lesson.”
Yuan Feng: “In a few days, I’m on vacation for New Year’s Day.”
Chen Shuo: “Okay, I’m leaving.”
“Uh? Be careful.” Seeing Chen Shuo leave in a hurry, Yuan Feng was puzzled, why was he acting strange again, like last time? He must have something on his mind!
Today was the second time, and Li Ge couldn’t remember how many times he had stared at Chen Shuo’s back. He quickly put on his leather shoes and hurriedly said, “Brother-in-law, I’m leaving.”
“Ah?” Yuan Feng was stunned, “Weren’t you going to chat with Aunt?”
Li Ge: “Something urgent came up, I’ll come back another day.”
Yuan Feng: “…” Why was everyone coming and going in such a hurry?
When Li Ge chased after him, there was no sign of Chen Shuo at the elevator. The apartment building had two elevators per household. He glanced at the elevator floor and understood. The coward had just been eavesdropping on his conversation with Yuan Feng. When the elevator didn’t come, he took the stairs instead.
Twenty-something floors, quite brave.
Li Ge was about to chase after him to scare him when the elevator arrived. He thought about it carefully. After what happened at noon, chasing after him now would be counterproductive. He had already endured until New Year’s Eve, what was another day or two?
A good dish should be savored slowly, eating it too quickly would burn his mouth.
So, Li Ge strode into the elevator, deciding to mercifully let the coward off the hook this time, not holding a grudge.
Entering the new year, the temperature in Beicheng plummeted.
During the three-day New Year’s Day holiday, Chen Shuo took the time to go to a temple to burn incense and pray.
He wasn’t originally superstitious, but since his encounter with the unreliable playboy early last year, things had been going downhill, and his life was getting worse.
Chen Shuo knew that making wishes was self-deception. If it worked, Chen Meifang would have come back to life long ago. But sometimes people needed the ability to “deceive themselves.” If he could deceive himself well, he wouldn’t feel so much pain when facing life.
Just like when he was a child, he always deceived himself that Jing Hai would come back to see him. Once Jing Hai returned, their broken home would be complete, and Chen Meifang wouldn’t have to work so hard.
Reality told him that his surname was Chen, not Jing.
Chen Shuo made a simple wish, unrelated to Li Ge.
As soon as the holiday ended, Yuan Feng eagerly awaited the arrival of his two tutors, burying his head in his studies again, afraid that he wouldn’t be able to help Yuanbao with his homework after the baby was born.
While concentrating on his English test paper, Yuan Feng suddenly felt the urge to go to the restroom. He looked up and saw that the two teachers were secretly passing notes.
Chen Shuo quickly picked up the small note that had been rejected more than ten times from his desk, calmly putting it in his pocket, then looked at Yuan Feng and calmly asked, “Is there something you don’t know how to do?”
“No, I just need to go to the restroom.” Yuan Feng looked at Chen Shuo, then at Li Ge.
Li Ge quickly stood up and chuckled, “Brother-in-law, let me help you to the restroom.”
“No, no.” Yuan Feng waved his hand in refusal, “I can walk and run now, I’m fine.”
Li Ge: “How can that be? My cousin isn’t here, I have the duty to take care of you, let me at least walk you to the door.”
“I’m really fine.” Just as Yuan Feng stood up, he suddenly yelped, “Ouch,” and clutched his stomach, scaring the two people beside him.
Chen Shuo quickly steadied Yuan Feng and asked with concern, “What’s wrong?”
“You call this fine?” Li Ge also asked, “Is it a stomachache? I’ll take you to the hospital.”
“It’s Yuanbao, he just kicked me.” Yuan Feng walked a few steps around the desk, “He kicked again, he’s been naughty lately, always kicking me.”
Chen Shuo & Li Ge: “…”
Ten seconds later.
“Okay, he stopped kicking, I’ll go to the restroom first, I’ll finish the questions when I get back.” Yuan Feng swayed and left the study.
In that instant, Li Ge had caught Chen Shuo’s nervousness. After Yuan Feng closed the door, he asked Chen Shuo bluntly, “Don’t tell me you have feelings for my brother-in-law?”
Chen Shuo: “…”
After New Year’s Day, Li Ge didn’t come for a week, and Chen Shuo had a week of peace, thinking his wish had come true.
But Yu Rui took the initiative to contact him, complaining that Li Ge had taken his girlfriend to Jiangcheng for a week and had just returned to Beicheng yesterday, looking all smug and lovey-dovey.
“Why didn’t you read the note?” Li Ge asked.
Chen Shuo then remembered that disgusting note, took it out of his pocket, and tore it to shreds in front of Li Ge, throwing it into the trash can.
Not having seen him for ten days, Li Ge missed him terribly. Looking at Chen Shuo’s funeral face, he couldn’t help but tease, “You’re so interesting, you tore it up because you wanted me to say it with my mouth?”
The four words on the note, Chen Shuo had seen them when he tore it up.
“I said, I—want—to—fuck—you.” Li Ge stared at Chen Shuo, repeating it for him word by word in a low voice.
Chen Shuo’s brow furrowed imperceptibly. He still ignored him, sitting back down and opening his math textbook.
“Yuan Feng will be on vacation in a few days.” Li Ge moved in front of Chen Shuo, his hands on the desk, “I said I’m slowly changing, how long are you going to put on airs?”
His wish had failed, and his peaceful life hadn’t returned. Chen Shuo felt annoyed, even suffocated, wanting to feed Li Ge two pounds of arsenic, once and for all.
He looked up at Li Ge and said calmly, “Until the day you die.”
“Fuck.” Li Ge laughed, “Do you know, I like you just like this? If you can, you can put on airs for a lifetime, or you can come to my house and put on airs for me every day.”
“Stay away from me.” Chen Shuo frowned.
“I’m quite rebellious.” Li Ge leaned closer to Chen Shuo, “The more you say that, the more I want to get closer.”
“I’m here.” Yuan Feng pushed open the door, startled by the scene in the study.
Why were the two teachers so close, what was going on?
“I was wondering why it smelled so nice in here, it’s Assistant Chen’s shampoo.” Li Ge took the opportunity to lean closer to Chen Shuo and sniff, then returned to his seat, putting on his teacher’s persona and urging Yuan Feng, “Hurry up and do your questions.”
“Oh.” Yuan Feng felt strange, it didn’t smell nice in the room at all.
From a perspective Yuan Feng couldn’t see, Chen Shuo clenched his textbook, his knuckles turning white, the veins on the back of his hand bulging. The book trembled in his hand, as if it would be torn apart at any moment.
Li Ge secretly observed, thinking to himself, this was a tough dish.
Worth savoring slowly, then reminiscing.
