Chapter 13: The Cannon Fodder Roommate of the Unlimited Flow Male Lead (Part 13-1)
Seeing the conflict outside, it didn’t take long for the crowd of onlookers outside the classroom to disperse completely.
The teaching building, now past its peak of foot traffic, began to quiet down, with only the faint sound of voices coming from the first-floor lobby.
In the back row of the classroom, Su Huai was holding a textbook. The chair next to him scraped loudly. He frowned slightly and walked towards Yu Lin.
His senses were sharp. He had heard the commotion on the first floor and had come straight up, running in a disheveled manner. His hair fell over his forehead, partially obscuring the pair of dark eyes beneath his brow bone.
He was silent for a moment, looked at Yu Lin, and his voice suddenly softened. “I just beat him up.”
Yu Lin was stunned for a moment, looked up at him, and nodded softly. “En, shall we go eat?”
He stood in the faint summer light. A small patch of light happened to fall on his quiet features. His eyelashes were thick, making the color of his eyes particularly translucent.
Su Huai looked at him and, not seeing any sadness on his face, felt a slight, imperceptible sense of relief.
He walked over, didn’t bring up the unpleasant matters again, and reached out to take Yu Lin’s hand. “…En, we can talk slowly on the way.”
Yu Lin nodded and replied softly.
He walked forward, turned his head to glance at the hand that had quickly taken his, but had also quickly let go when they were about to leave, sparing him from facing too many rumors and onlookers.
It felt as if his heart had been poked. Yu Lin turned his head and blinked lightly.
Outside the business school, the brilliant sunlight was shattered by the long gaps in the tree shade.
There weren’t many people at the entrance anymore, only a very occasional gaze still looking over.
Most of the cafeterias in the school were concentrated in the east. Yu Lin had thought they were going to one of them, but when he came to his senses, he found that Su Huai was leading him off campus.
Jiang University was built in a city cluster. The nearby transportation was well-developed, and the buildings were dense. As far as the eye could see, there were wide, flat roads.
There were many people. Su Huai led him forward until they stopped in front of a black car at a corner.
The car was parked in the shade of a tree by the roadside. The location was low-key, and the modified car body was cold and smooth.
Su Huai walked over, directly pulled open the passenger door, then looked up and back at him.
At his signal, Yu Lin got in and sat down. Just as he was about to turn to find the seatbelt, a shadow suddenly fell over his head.
His breathing suddenly became very close, and a familiar, cool, woody scent hung at the tip of Yu Lin’s nose.
Yu Lin was silent. His eyelids lifted slightly as he watched Su Huai lean down, his hair falling on his eyelids. He reached for the seatbelt by his side and silently buckled it for him.
“…There’s water on the side.” He ruffled his hair as he straightened up.
Yu Lin nodded lightly, picked up the water on the seat. The water was very cold, and there was a thin layer of mist on the bottle.
The summer weather was very hot. Just walking out of the school for a short while, a thin layer of heat covered his skin.
The slightly icy water against his skin was instantly much more comfortable.
Yu Lin looked up at Su Huai. “Thank you.”
Su Huai was getting in from the other side, reaching for the seatbelt. Hearing him, he looked over, paused, and suddenly asked, “How do you plan to thank me?”
“…”
Yu Lin looked at him, slightly at a loss for words, not knowing what to say for a moment.
Su Huai held the seatbelt in his hand and looked at him, a smile gradually overflowing in his dark eyes.
The “click” of the seatbelt buckling sounded. He said, “I ordered a bit too much. How about you eat a little more later?”
Yu Lin held the ice water, sat up a little straighter, and let out a very soft “en.”
The destination was actually not far from the school, about a twenty-minute walk, in a science and technology park near Jiang University.
Su Huai’s family background was good. He had earned a fortune selling software in his sophomore year, and another fortune opening a company. Later, after entering the Main God game, money was no longer an important thing.
He simply bought an entire building near the school as a base.
Along the way, seeing Yu Lin turn his head to quietly look at the scenery, he opened his mouth and suddenly said, “I’ll introduce a few people to you later.”
He said, “People from the company.”
After a pause, he added, “They’re also in the game.”
The game he was talking about was obviously not an ordinary game, but the Main God space.
Yu Lin looked at him, a little surprised, but still nodded. “Okay.”
The scenery outside the car window flew by. The sunlight was brilliant and intense. He could almost see the golden spots of light dancing on the leaves and smell the scent of the asphalt road baked by the sun.
Seeing that the destination was approaching, and thinking about meeting his friends for the first time, Yu Lin held the water and hesitated slightly. “…Do I need to prepare?”
Su Huai turned his head. “Prepare for what?”
Yu Lin pressed his lips together. “…After all, it’s the first time I’m meeting your friends.”
His expression was serious.
There was a traffic light ahead, and the sound of a car horn suddenly came from outside the window. Su Huai’s fingers rested on the steering wheel, and it felt as if a small hole had been smashed in his heart by a piece of candy.
“No need.” he said, turning his head slightly, his eyes deep black, his voice softening. “They’re all our own people.”
He reached out and ruffled Yu Lin’s hair.
Yu Lin blinked.
After thinking for a moment, he nodded lightly. “En.”

Building B102 of the Science and Technology Park. Due to the surrounding renovations, it was deserted for a hundred-meter radius.
Only a single asphalt road cut through it, with shady trees and brilliant sunshine.
Xu Zeze held his phone, timed his exit from the air-conditioned room, and cursed, “I’m done—I’m done—I say every day that I want to eat Chunhe’s private kitchen, and he tells me to get lost, he’s busy. But today!!!”
Xu Zeze turned his head, his expression ferocious. “He said someone was coming over, went there early in the morning, ordered all of Chunhe’s signature dishes, and even told me to go and pick them up on time. Tell me!!! Is he a vampire or what!!”
“…” Xu Zeze was 178 cm tall, with a baby face. When he was angry, he was full of life, like a small dog. A tall boy followed beside him.
The boy was wearing glasses, his expression blank. Hearing this, he turned his head, his face full of sympathy. “Bro, don’t say it, don’t say it. This is all hush money.”
“…” Xu Zeze hissed lightly and immediately frowned.
After a pause, he looked left and right and stopped complaining. “Oh right… damn, I almost forgot about that.”
He instantly became as quiet as a chicken, pulled the boy, and quickly walked outside. Just as he had taken a few steps, he saw a familiar car driving over at the end of the road.
Xu Zeze immediately stopped and craned his neck to look.
He saw the Su-skinflint he had just been cursing getting out of the car. However, he didn’t even glance in their direction and went straight around to the passenger seat.
He reached out, pulled open the car door, and said something to the person sitting inside.
He didn’t know what the person inside said, but he lowered his eyes and the corners of his lips curled up slightly.
Xu Zeze: “……………”
Xu Zeze rubbed his eyes frantically and tugged at Lin Bo’s sleeve next to him. “Baby Lin, hit me. Am I hallucinating?”
Lin Bo: “…”
Lin Bo pushed up his glasses, followed his gaze, and slapped Xu Zeze.
He was also a little surprised. “I don’t know. This posture… that’s not right. Could it be… sister-in-law??”
There was a handprint on Xu Zeze’s face. His eyes were fixed on the car outside.
He muttered sorrowfully, “I don’t believe it, I don’t believe it. Brothers for life, whoever gets a girlfriend first is a dog.”

There were steps in front of the building. Su Huai parked the car under the shade of a tree.
He got out of the car and came over. Yu Lin was looking down, unbuckling his seatbelt, when the car door was suddenly opened from the outside.
The midday sun shone in, dispelling a little of the coolness in the car.
The light was too strong. Yu Lin squinted slightly, looked outside, and shielded his forehead with his hand.
Seeing Su Huai, he didn’t know what to say, so he could only blink lightly. “We’re here?”
Su Huai nodded and held out his hand to him. “En, let’s go eat.”
The two of them walked into the building hand in hand.
Su Huai’s expression was so natural that for a moment, Yu Lin didn’t notice what was wrong.
It was said to be an office building, but the building in sight was more like a large villa. It was very large, with transparent glass and white walls complementing each other.
After passing through a stretch of shade, two figures with strange expressions were squatting in front of the building.
Yu Lin’s eyelashes drooped slightly as he met their gaze.
Xu Zeze and Lin Bo were squatting on the steps, head to head, and had been watching for a while.
Seeing Su Huai leading a beautiful man with quiet features over, they both had a “what the fuck” expression on their faces.
Xu Zeze gritted his teeth and muttered, “He really got a girlfriend. Su Huai is a dog.”
Lin Bo looked at him, hesitated for a moment, and nudged his arm. “Keep your voice down. Don’t get blocked by the boss again with no one to save you. Also, bro, that seems to be a boy.”
“A boy?” Xu Zeze craned his neck again, squinted, and was instantly happy. “Oh, it really is. Then it’s fine. This iron-straight man is probably a new member.”
“Is that so?” Hearing this, Lin Bo was suspiciously silent for a moment, and glanced at the two people holding hands. “Why do I feel like… not necessarily.”
But Xu Zeze wasn’t listening. He was smiling happily and jumped down in a few steps.

Just as Yu Lin approached the building, a boy jumped down from the steps, full of energy and smiling. “You’re here? Hahaha, we’ve been waiting for you.”
He said, “To be brought here… you must be a player too, right? My name is Xu Zeze, a fourth-round player, from the computer science department of Jiang University. Let’s be friends.”
He held out his hand, smiling as he was about to shake Yu Lin’s.
The Main God game was mysterious and unpredictable. Their team had originally been formed in reality, but they had entered the first round of the game together and had only come out after a life-and-death struggle.
Although they all had their own dungeons to enter later and weren’t together much, their level of trust was much higher than with outsiders, and it was tacitly understood that anyone who could enter here would not be a mistake.
Su Huai had already explained these situations to Yu Lin on the way here.
So when he saw Xu Zeze, he didn’t feel like a stranger, but was instead a little infected by his happiness.
Matching the boy in front of him with one of the names, Yu Lin’s eyes curved slightly as he held out his hand. “Hello, I’m Yu Lin.”
Just as their fingers were about to touch, Xu Zeze took a step forward and proactively put his arm around Yu Lin’s neck. “Hello! Yu Lin, wait, why do I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before?”
He widened his eyes and suddenly remembered a post he had once seen about a great beauty coming to the finance department.
His expression changed, and before he could open his mouth, Su Huai, who was standing by, suddenly pushed him away, his expression placid. “You didn’t shower yesterday? You smell a little.”
Xu Zeze: “…………”
Xu Zeze hurriedly lowered his head to smell his arm.
Then he looked up, his face a picture of devastation.
Damn, what’s wrong with you! What’s wrong with a boy not showering for a day? It’s as good as new!
Besides, I’m not hugging you, I’m hugging Yu Lin. What’s it to you? Psycho!
Xu Zeze glared angrily at the back of Su Huai, who was pulling Yu Lin away.
Lin Bo pushed up his glasses and stood behind, thoughtful.
