Chapter 16: The Cannon Fodder Roommate of the Unlimited Flow Male Lead (Part 16-1)
In the end, with his boyfriend’s back against the bathroom door and a persistent gaze, Su Huai, being the one who had gotten more soaked, went in to take a shower first. He was quick, and after coming out, he was even handed a cup of cold medicine.
The temperature of the cold medicine was just right, not too cold or too hot, perfect for drinking.
Su Huai held it, his fingers tightening slightly.
Yu Lin was holding his change of clothes and was about to push open the bathroom door to go in. He paused, turned to look at him, and pressed his lips together slightly, his expression serious. “You have to drink it all.”
A towel was draped around Su Huai’s neck, the ends of his hair were damp, and his eyes appeared dark under the light. He leaned down and kissed the corner of Yu Lin’s lips. “I know.”
When the sound of rushing water came from the bathroom, he turned and left, went back to his seat, and drank the cold medicine in his hands, one sip at a time.
When Yu Lin finished his shower and came out, he saw the clean cup on the table at a glance.
He held a towel and blinked lightly. A clicking sound came from his ear. He turned his head and saw Su Huai by the desk, holding a hairdryer.
Although he had already dried his hair until it was fluffy, in the end, he was still pressed into a seat and had his hair blown completely dry with a hairdryer.
Jiang University didn’t have a set lights-out time. By the time they were done, it was almost eleven o’clock.
Yu Lin was a little sleepy. He squinted and climbed into bed. After getting in, he subconsciously lifted a corner of the quilt.
He paused, not even realizing what he had done. By the time he did, he was already being held in someone’s arms.
Su Huai very consciously lifted the corner of the quilt and lay down, his expression calm. His hand rested lightly on his waist. Seeing him look up, he leaned over slightly and kissed him.
“…”
Yu Lin pressed his lips together, hesitated for a moment, and in imitation of him, he also propped himself up on his arms and leaned over to kiss his lips.
He kissed very lightly, his hair brushing against the tip of his nose. It was a brief touch, in the nature of a goodnight kiss.
Then, for some reason, he was picked up, his knees bent, his back against the wall, and he was kissed on the lips.
Su Huai kissed very deeply, his tongue grinding against his, coaxing him to open his mouth. Yu Lin paused, parted his lips slightly, and before long, his head began to feel dizzy.
He was almost out of breath, his tongue was numb. He reached out, wanting to retreat. He propped himself against the wall, lifted his leg, but when he moved, he accidentally touched something.
When he realized what it was, Yu Lin was stunned, lowered his eyes slightly, and his face flushed red.
It was a very strange change. Yu Lin’s cheeks were flushed red, his wrist fell on the bed, and he looked at Su Huai, at a loss.
Su Huai lowered his eyes to look at him, his gaze falling on his damp eyelashes, his breathing slightly ragged. He pressed his lips together, his fingers moving down along his waistline, and slipped under the hem of his clothes.
A warm palm rested on Yu Lin’s waist, and moved down, touching a clean white edge.
Su Huai felt the change in the person in his arms, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and he pulled on it lightly.
A few seconds later, Su Huai looked at Yu Lin, tilted his head to suck on his finger, and leaned down. Yu Lin grabbed his hair, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and his mind went blank.
His consciousness was completely chaotic. It took Yu Lin a long time to react, and the hand grabbing Su Huai’s hair was trembling.
His eyelids were flushed red, and his eyes were damp, as if he had been bullied, his voice out of tune.
When it was over, the tip of his nose and his eyelids were all red. It took him a long time to react before he said with a trembling voice, “I… I’ll help you too.”
Su Huai reached out, wiped the trace of water from the corner of his lips, ruffled his hair, and got up to go to the bathroom.
An unknown amount of time passed. Yu Lin was curled up in the quilt, almost in a state of chaos, when he felt a light sound. Then, he was picked up again.
He was held in a damp and slightly cool embrace, and the familiar cool scent was at the tip of his nose.
He buried himself in it, too sleepy to lift his eyelids. He tried to look up, but only ended up bumping into Su Huai’s neck, and said softly, “I haven’t… helped you yet…”
His features were quiet, and he looked clean. He was too sleepy to lift his eyelids and had no idea what he was saying, just subconsciously remembering this matter.
Su Huai held him, took a deep breath, and pressed his lips together slightly, almost having to get up and go to the bathroom again.
He calmed down for a moment, lowered his head, held Yu Lin tighter in his arms, kissed his eyelids, and coaxed him, “We’ll talk about it later. Go to sleep.”
“…” Yu Lin was buried in his arms, unable to hear clearly what he was saying. His hair brushed against his chin, and he fell asleep quietly.
Usually, Yu Lin was a very quiet sleeper, not moving much throughout the night. But for some reason today, he had unconsciously turned over several times.
He turned over again and bumped into the wall, frowned, felt that something was wrong, and turned back again, lifting his chin slightly and pressing his lips together uncomfortably.
A pair of warm arms wrapped around him. Yu Lin felt that it was familiar, and snuggled closer, only then finding a comfortable spot and falling completely asleep.
Su Huai held him, his voice very soft.
He was wide awake, with no trace of sleepiness in his eyes.
Only when the person in his arms was completely asleep did he lean forward and kiss his lips.
***
Yu Lin was trapped in a heavy dream.
In the dream, he was sitting on a floral rocking chair, surrounded by a dense forest like in a fairy tale.
Long wisteria flowers fell, the sun was brilliant, and many huge fruits were planted by the grass.
In front of him was a large, grass-green rabbit with a placid expression. It squatted in front of him, held out a strawberry to him, and asked him, “Do you like it?”
Yu Lin shook his head. The large rabbit glanced at the strawberry in its hand, threw it away, and then grabbed a mango for him, asking, “How about this one?”
Yu Lin hesitated for a moment, then shook his head again.
The large rabbit looked at the fruit in its hand, leaned down, frowned slightly, and then asked him, “Then what do you want?”
As he spoke, the two grass-green ears on his head swayed slightly, and a faint grassy scent emanated from them.
Yu Lin looked at his ears, his eyes fixed, and said softly, “I… I want to touch your ears. Can I?”
The large rabbit looked at him, was silent for a moment, then lowered its head and placed its two soft, moving ears in his hands for him to touch.
Yu Lin felt a warm touch in his palm, and he couldn’t help but squeeze it.
The next second, the alarm clock rang. Someone quickly turned off the alarm, but then, the rabbit ears in Yu Lin’s palm also disappeared.
He opened his eyes with a little regret, blinked, and found Su Huai leaning over to look at him.
He was very close. He had just washed up, and he smelled of a refreshing mint.
Yu Lin looked at him, and his memory instantly returned. He turned his head slightly, his ears flushing red.
He pressed his lips together, leaned over and kissed his forehead, then reached out and gently squeezed his ear.
Yu Lin had an early class today. Although he had woken up just in time, and there was plenty of time, after breakfast, he still had to rush to the teaching building immediately.
Su Huai also had an early class in the first period, but it was in a different direction.
When they parted, standing at a crossroads, neither of them left first. Yu Lin hesitated for a moment, felt his pocket, and took out a piece of candy for him.
Su Huai looked down at the candy and asked, “What’s the meaning of this?”
What’s the meaning of this? Yu Lin was stunned for a moment. It actually didn’t mean anything. He just suddenly wanted to do it.
But Su Huai didn’t leave, his gaze placidly looking at him, as if waiting for his answer.
Yu Lin looked at him, pressed his lips together slightly, thought for a moment, and had to say, “It’s very sweet.”
His eyelashes lifted slightly as he said, “I’ll miss you.”
“…” Su Huai took a deep breath, and suddenly felt that he had dug a big pit for himself and jumped in.
He grunted, “En,” tried to be calm, reached out, and ruffled his boyfriend’s head, and said hoarsely, “Go to class. Me too.”
After a pause, he added, “See you at noon.”

Time passed quickly in university. Almost without feeling the passage of time, nearly a month had passed.
In this nearly a month, Yu Lin’s life was more or less a three-point line, but classes, dates, and browsing the Main God forum took up most of his time, so he didn’t feel bored.
By the time Yu Lin had some free time, he found that the next Main God game was about to arrive.
From June to July, although it was only a month, he had already experienced major events such as final exams and the summer vacation.
In this tense but orderly rhythm, because he was about to enter the instance, Yu Lin had called his parents in this world and had not gone home, but had temporarily moved in with Su Huai upstairs in the company building.
Old players had a period of preparation time before entering the instance, which was basically for buying items and so on.
Tan Ming was particularly resourceful in this aspect. He had negotiated for many of the items.
The others each had their own division of labor.
Yu Lin was a new player and didn’t need to do much. But because he had decided to live in this world, he had also learned a little about the Main God game.
He sat in the company’s conference room, opened his computer, and let the others look at the table on the screen.
The table design was simple, divided into two parts. The content on one part was less, while the other part was more complex.
Yu Lin clicked on the first one and explained to the few people standing by, “I’ve briefly looked at the comment information on the forum and found that the dungeons the players enter have a certain commonality.”
Yu Lin said, “In the information I could find, I’ve summarized a little. These are the dungeons that have only appeared once so far. The relevant information is in the document. There’s not much, only five.”
He held the mouse and was about to click on the other one when his calf under the table accidentally touched someone else’s.
Yu Lin paused, pressed his lips together slightly, and looked down to find that it was Su Huai.
The touch on his calf was clear. Yu Lin hesitated for a moment, didn’t move, and retracted his gaze.
He clicked on another file again. “And this one. There are more dungeons in this one, nineteen in total. In these dungeons, although everyone’s situation is different, the background is very similar. It can basically be judged as one dungeon, and at least two or more players have entered it in a cycle.”
“This proves that the dungeon content can be repeated.”
“However,” Yu Lin added, “I found that the number of cycles for these recyclable dungeons is also different. Some have been cycled more than ten times, while some may have only been cycled once or twice and then no longer appear.”
Seeing that everyone was looking over, Yu Lin thought for a moment and said, “Later, I searched, and Su Huai also used an item to investigate in the Main God space. In the end, we found that in the information we could find, the sign of the end of the cycle is this.”
