Chapter 15 p1
The black fox glanced at the window. Despite the treated crystal glass, it could clearly see Shi Nuo inside.
Its grayish-green eyes shifted, filled with the cruelty and cunning unique to predatory beasts.
The white wolf, without hesitation, leaped at the black fox. Its size and strength gave it an advantage. The black fox nimbly dodged the attack, its green eyes glinting maliciously.
The white wolf pursued relentlessly. Its powerful tail, also a weapon, swung with tremendous force, striking the black fox’s left hind leg. Then, its thick claws raked across the fox’s back, leaving three deep gashes.
The black fox yelped in pain, the sound piercing and sharp.
Shi Nuo quickly closed and locked the doors and windows. The sound made his head ache, but he knew he couldn’t become the black beast’s target.
The click of the locks engaging reached the white wolf’s keen ears. It had achieved its objective; both the house and Shi Nuo were now behind it.
The black fox, enraged by the pain and the smell of blood, its eyes glowing brighter green, didn’t retreat from the white wolf’s next attack but charged forward.
The fight between the beasts was brutal, claws and fangs their sharpest weapons, each strike drawing blood.
The two unusually large beasts fought not only with physical force but also with waves of energy that rippled through the air, making other animals tremble and even bleed from their noses and mouths under the invisible pressure.
The Alpha’s pheromones surged like ocean waves, enveloping Shi Nuo in an invisible barrier, lessening the oppressive force of the energy waves.
The fight between the white wolf and the black fox was swift, a blur of movement. Only when they separated and landed could Shi Nuo clearly see the shallow wounds on the white wolf.
Having not been injured in a long time, the smell of blood ignited a nameless rage in the white wolf, a surge of bloodlust darkening its eyes.
Snapping jaws, colliding bodies, the primal instinct of beasts locked in mortal combat.
Under the fierce assault, the black fox was forced to stumble back, dust rising like smoke, its roars echoing as the ground trembled slightly.
Initially, the black fox had relied on its agility and speed to counterattack, but now, with the white wolf no longer holding back, attacking with its full strength, it lost even its speed advantage.
The fight ended in less than five minutes when the white wolf savagely clamped its jaws around the black fox’s neck.
Even through the window, Shi Nuo heard the sickening crunch of bone.
He saw the white wolf toss the black fox’s lifeless body aside, blood gushing from its broken neck.
The white wolf, victorious, its powerful muscles tense, let out a thunderous roar, driven by its beastly instincts.
This roar was different from the howls of an ordinary wolf pack, filled with an oppressive weight.
It was a display of dominance to all creatures. A faint tremor ran through the distant forest, and the hidden animals remained silent.
The black fox was a type of interstellar stray beast, known for its speed and cunning, a powerful creature. But it had made the mistake of landing on this planet, encountering Hugh Elvis.
The white wolf claimed the entire planet as its territory, and any intruder was its enemy.
These interstellar stray beasts had unique, tough scales and unusual respiratory systems, often traveling through space curled into balls, drifting with the star currents or hitching rides on the hulls of starships.
When they found a suitable planet, they would detach and descend, wreaking havoc, causing widespread death and destruction, drastically reducing the populations of native species.
Like locusts, they were unwelcome everywhere.
The white wolf loathed these shadowy creatures. Five years ago, another interstellar stray beast had landed here, and it had tracked it down and killed it.
This planet, located in a remote star system and lacking a protective force field, was vulnerable to outside threats.
The Elvis family had once planned to build a force field, but since this planet had been designated as his territory, no longer a part of the Elvis family’s assets, and due to the interference from the tidal storms, the cost of building a protective force field was prohibitive, so the plan had been abandoned.
The white wolf’s muzzle and fur were stained with blood. It had sustained minor, non-fatal injuries, but its pheromones surged with a violent intensity that even Shi Nuo, with his less sensitive senses, noticed something was wrong.
Berserk episodes in beastmen were almost always accompanied by pheromone instability and collapse.
It seemed the fight had triggered a relapse.
As this thought crossed Shi Nuo’s mind, the white wolf suddenly turned and stared at him through the window.
It walked towards the house, its heavy paws leaving deep imprints in the ground.
Shi Nuo’s eyes widened in fear. Before he could react, the white wolf turned its head and spewed white flames from its mouth, incinerating a smaller black fox that had been trying to sneak up on him.
The creature shrieked, its cries more high-pitched than the larger black fox, as it fell from the sky, engulfed in flames. It tried to roll on the ground, but the intense white fire wouldn’t extinguish.
It burned to ashes, the flames dying down on their own, leaving only a pungent smell.
The white wolf, suppressing its rage, turned back to the larger black fox’s corpse and incinerated it as well.
The white flames were its innate power. It hadn’t encountered a worthy opponent in a long time and had been enjoying the fight, which was why it hadn’t used its flames earlier.
Seeing only grayish-white residue on the ground, even the bones incinerated, Shi Nuo breathed a sigh of relief.
He had seen the dead black fox’s belly swell, a smaller, bloody fox emerging from it, just as the white wolf turned its back. The sight had terrified him.
He didn’t know where these creatures came from. The local animals always avoided the white wolf. So far, these were the only ones that had dared to confront it.
The giant wolf, not far from the house, looked up at the window after extinguishing the flames.
Shi Nuo’s eyes met the wolf’s, sending a chill down his spine.
Realizing the window was too small to fit through, the white wolf went to the front door.
Shi Nuo had nowhere to hide in the bedroom. He watched as the doorknob turned, the door opened, and the beast entered.
The Omega’s pheromones surged, trying to soothe the agitated Alpha. The sweet scent of tea olive blossoms, with its subtle, calming tea fragrance, filled the air.
Shi Nuo, pinned beneath the wolf, couldn’t escape and could only turn his back.
The white wolf’s pheromones were out of control, a torrent of aggressive Alpha pheromones flooding the room, seeking a target. The only other scent was the Omega’s soft, timid pheromones, attempting to appease him.
The Alpha’s pheromones ignored the Omega’s attempts at comfort and went straight to the source of the strongest scent: Shi Nuo.
Suppressed both physically and mentally, Shi Nuo felt a heavy weight on him, unable to lift his head, a wave of dizziness washing over him.
An undeniable heat, scorching hot, made him tremble, unable to escape.
Realizing the Alpha’s intentions, Shi Nuo was terrified, a cold sweat breaking out, instantly soaking his clothes.
He was going to die.
“Calm down, Mr. Elvis, please.”
Tears streamed down his face, unnoticed. His face was pale as he pleaded, his voice hoarse.
He begged repeatedly, trying to bring the white wolf back to its senses, but it seemed to have no effect. As his clothes were torn, Shi Nuo screamed for the first time in his life.
“Get away!”
He didn’t know how to curse, only how to resist with all his might, his scream filled with terror.
The sharp cries and screams gradually became clearer, and the white wolf abruptly stopped.
