Chapter 18
It was past nine in the evening. They had finished their second meal, and the dishes were washed.
Shi Nuo put away the kitchen utensils and, noticing Hugh standing at the doorway again, paused.
As expected, after he washed his hands, Hugh, without a word, picked him up horizontally.
The man’s arms were strong, his muscles beautifully defined, his entire body radiating power.
It was evening, and there was nothing to do here, so Shi Nuo didn’t resist. After they entered the bedroom, he hesitated, then said, “I’m not sleepy.”
He had slept almost the entire day, had just eaten, and his energy had returned somewhat. He really couldn’t sleep now. “Why don’t you sleep first,” he whispered, seeing that Hugh was heading towards the bed, assuming the Alpha was still tired.
Hugh Elvis walked to the bed, sat down, and pulled Shi Nuo onto his lap, one hand holding the back of the Omega’s neck as he leaned in.
Shi Nuo’s lower lip was captured, gently sucked and tasted.
Having experienced this last night, he wasn’t as flustered and focused on breathing properly, so he wouldn’t suffocate.
The man seemed to be enjoying the kiss, his actions less forceful than last night, more gentle and lingering.
The physical and emotional connection between Alphas and Omegas was complex, and with Shi Nuo’s naturally submissive nature, he didn’t dare refuse when the man opened his mouth, his trembling tongue drawn in and sucked.
He felt ashamed, because the gentle kiss felt good, even arousing a greedy desire for more.
Embarrassed by his own reaction, he turned his face away after the kiss broke, gasping for breath. Hugh’s kiss landed on his cheek instead.
“W-we just ate. I need to brush my teeth. No kissing,” Shi Nuo said unsteadily.
He had eaten, but Hugh, uninterested in the bland food, had only waited for him.
Hugh Elvis found this bothersome. The Omega’s scent was soft and sweet, the warmth of his pheromones emanating from his skin, a constant temptation.
His patience wearing thin, he nipped playfully at the soft flesh of Shi Nuo’s cheek and stood up, still holding him.
Shi Nuo, afraid of another kiss after washing up, quickly made another excuse: “Not now. I need to wait a while. You can’t shower immediately after eating.”
Knowing the Omega’s habit of cleaning up at night, Hugh didn’t question him, only feeling a surge of irritation. “So, no showering, no kissing?”
“Yes,” Shi Nuo replied, his head down, not daring to meet the Alpha’s gaze.
Hugh stared at the Omega in his arms, his unusual blue eyes shifting like the turbulent ocean, the color deepening.
“How long?” he asked.
Shi Nuo thought for a moment. “Half an hour before I can shower.”
Half an hour was too short, but he had enjoyed the Omega’s compliance during their earlier kiss. Hugh Elvis considered this. No kissing, but other activities were permissible.
He could vaguely sense the Omega’s emotions. He seemed to enjoy the slow, gentle touches.
That was acceptable.
As soon as the half hour was up, the white-haired man, punctual, carried Shi Nuo to the bathroom.
Shi Nuo, startled, clung to him, enduring the Alpha’s embrace as they walked.
While brushing his teeth, he was held in the man’s arms, not deliberately restrained, but the position was still scandalous. Hugh Elvis, however, seemed completely unconcerned, his expression languid, devoid of any shame.
He held the Omega with one arm while clumsily brushing his teeth with the other.
The toothbrush was Shi Nuo’s spare, brand new and unused. The supplies they had been given weren’t plentiful, but fortunately, the toiletries were sufficient. He had two toothbrushes. Otherwise, he would have had to find another way to clean his teeth.
The toothbrush was high-quality and durable, meant to be replaced annually, but Hugh had opened the second one, making Shi Nuo slightly worried.
He would have to be more careful and less fastidious.
The taste of toothpaste was different from that of plants. Even in his beast form, Hugh Elvis would chew on natural plants to clean his teeth.
This was an instinctual behavior for beastmen, keeping their fangs sharp. Cleaning also reduced their scent, making hunting easier.
After washing up and taking a quick shower, before they even left the bathroom, Shi Nuo was kissed again.
An Omega’s body was different from an ordinary human’s, their physiology perfectly compatible with an Alpha’s. They were naturally alluring.
After five days of disrupted sleep, Shi Nuo finally found some respite.
Hugh Elvis was gone. The white wolf lay on the living room rug, flicking its tail, one paw resting on the Omega lying next to it.
Shi Nuo looked tired, dressed in long-sleeved pajamas, but the marks on his exposed skin, especially on his neck, were evident.
He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep on the soft, thick rug. The white wolf, seeing this, pulled the Omega closer, licking him occasionally.
A bluish mist enveloped the world, the sky merging with the earth in a hazy, damp landscape.
Shi Nuo sat by the door, watching the rain. It had started raining after he woke up this morning, and he couldn’t go out, so he could only sit and watch.
His stomach was no longer distended. Free from the haze of passion, his mind clear, he slowly realized the price he had paid for a few pieces of meat.
His long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, and he pursed his lips.
Equivalent exchange.
Hugh Elvis’s words echoed in his mind, filling him with a sense of shame. What he had exchanged was himself.
The fine rain fell, driven into the house by a cold breeze.
Shi Nuo’s cheeks were dampened by the cold raindrops. He moved his stool back slightly but remained by the door, his beautiful eyes gazing into the distance, the flush on his fair cheeks fading.
The white wolf, sated, lazily swayed its tail. It was lying with its head towards the door, so it could see the Omega’s back if it opened its eyes.
The Omega’s body was slender and small, but surprisingly compatible, his narrow waist so white and delicate, yet able to fully accommodate him.
Although they hadn’t been tested, the wolf knew their pheromone compatibility must be high. Perhaps this was his destined Omega.
Its nose twitched, smelling its mark on the Omega. The strong scent would let everyone know their relationship.
Unlike a temporary mark, which would fade over time, a permanent bond lasted a lifetime. Shi Nuo would carry his mark and his scent for the rest of his life.
This pleased him, even made him feel a sense of pride. His tail swayed lazily, expressing his contentment.
He was familiar with the Elvis family’s ways. Shi Nuo was just a random Omega, chosen without any compatibility testing. The seemingly useless Elvis family had inadvertently sent him the perfect mate.
The white wolf’s throat moved. The scent of tea olive blossoms was everywhere, stirring his desires, but he restrained himself.
It was enough.
The payment he had received was more than enough, far exceeding his expectations.
As for Shi Nuo’s distress on the last day, he felt no remorse. It was the Omega’s due.
The cold wind and rain continued. Seeing that the Omega hadn’t moved from the doorway, the white wolf stood up, a white shimmer surrounding it as it shrunk to half its size.
Its furry head nudged Shi Nuo, bringing him back to his senses.
He didn’t know what the white wolf wanted. He felt a little uneasy. Apart from intimacy, they usually kept to themselves in the living room, rarely interacting.
After all, they were still strangers.
He sat still as the white wolf, even at its smaller size, towered over him.
His neck was licked, right on his scent gland. Shi Nuo didn’t make a sound. He had grown accustomed to his scent gland being licked and bitten in the past few days.
The white wolf could clearly see the back of Shi Nuo’s neck, where the skin was mottled with bite marks and love bites.
The Omega’s scent, inside and out, belonged to him, deeply satisfying the Alpha’s possessive nature.
The wolf nuzzled its head against Shi Nuo’s stomach, sniffing repeatedly. It was disappointed that the flat stomach no longer had the appealing roundness he had enjoyed.
The swelling had subsided.
As it nudged and rubbed against him, Shi Nuo’s shirt rode up, revealing his slender waist.
The white wolf’s blue eyes narrowed, darkening.
Forced to lean back as the wolf pressed against him, Shi Nuo felt the rough, wet warmth on his stomach.
In broad daylight, with the door open, even if there was no one outside, this was inappropriate. He reached out and placed his hand on the wolf’s head, trying to stop it.
The white wolf, reluctantly, moved back slightly.
Just as he adjusted his clothes, the wolf’s head returned. Shi Nuo felt a weight on his thighs as the white wolf sat down beside him, resting its head on his lap.
From the corner of his eye, he saw the wolf’s large white tail swaying gently. Lying on his lap, its eyes half-closed, it looked less like a ferocious beast and more like a docile, oversized dog.
Shi Nuo didn’t dare push it away and sat stiffly as the wolf rested its head on him.
After a while, he couldn’t resist and reached out to tentatively touch the back of the wolf’s neck.
The fur was thick, not particularly soft, but clean and fluffy, pleasant to the touch.
Life on this alien planet was incredibly boring. This small novelty was enticing, and Shi Nuo, as if bewitched, gently rubbed the fur on the back of the wolf’s neck.
As for its head, he absolutely wouldn’t dare touch that.
The white wolf didn’t react to the first touch, assuming it was accidental, the light, gentle movement easily dismissed as unintentional.
But the second time, it opened its eyes, its gaze sharp and alert.
No one had ever dared to pet it like a pet.
It was displeased.
It felt a surge of irritation but couldn’t bring itself to snap at its Omega.
Its pheromones, intensified by its annoyance, became more aggressive.
Shi Nuo, as an Omega, was sensitive to the change, the lotus scent turning cold, a wave of pressure washing over him.
Realizing the white wolf was unhappy, he froze, his hand hovering over the fur, a sense of fear creeping in. He didn’t dare move.
A pet dog, if petted by someone it disliked, might bite.
He was already intimidated by the white wolf’s size and strength, and under this oppressive pressure, he imagined the wolf biting his hand.
The white wolf lifted its head from his lap, its breathing no longer steady, a sign of its agitation.
Shi Nuo flinched involuntarily, his eyelashes trembling.
A flash of white light blinded him momentarily. When his vision cleared, the white wolf was gone, replaced by the white-haired man kneeling beside him, his body strong and muscular, an animal skin wrapped around his waist.
Hugh Elvis looked up, his brow furrowed slightly. His features were cold and sharp, his eyes wild. The slightest frown made him look fierce and impatient.
Shi Nuo, intimidated by a single glance, didn’t dare look at him directly. “I-I’m sorry,” he stammered, his voice trembling slightly.
This only irritated Hugh further.
Staring at the Omega’s pink lips, which closed softly after he spoke, Hugh Elvis lost his patience. He cupped Shi Nuo’s face in his hands and kissed him.
