Chapter 24
His lower abdomen ached and throbbed, and the amplified sensitivity to even minor pain made his limbs thrash, easily restrained by the Alpha.
His stomach was distended, making him uncomfortable. He gasped for breath, his fair face flushed with a captivatingly seductive expression, like a bewitching demon, though he was unaware of it himself.
The beautiful Omega’s body was adorned with blooming ice lotuses, their translucent petals, glistening with dew, appearing out of thin air and settling on his pale skin.
The ice lotuses melted into his skin, sending shivers through him, his thigh muscles twitching.
The Alpha’s potent pheromones were causing hallucinations. As the intense mingling of their scents subsided, Shi Nuo’s mind cleared slightly.
The sensation of ice lotuses melting into his skin was actually the Alpha’s pheromones being injected into his scent gland, spreading through his bloodstream, creating the illusion of being immersed in icy petals.
Only half a day had passed.
Hugh Elvis’s eyes were filled with desire, his usual aloofness replaced by a possessive intensity, his low groans incredibly sensual.
He helped Shi Nuo sit up and held a glass of water to his lips.
Instinctively opening his mouth, Shi Nuo drank, wiped his lips, and finally felt a sense of grounding. But a moment later, meeting the white-haired man’s gaze, his heart pounded, his throat constricting, unable to utter a word.
Sensing the impending danger, Shi Nuo scrambled to escape but was pushed down onto the rug.
A slender, pale hand gripped the edge of the rug, its fingers turning white from the force.
His wrist was covered in bite marks and love bites.
Lost in the gentle kisses, his body craving the Alpha’s touch, his mind only occasionally surfacing before being pulled back into the vortex of pleasure, a mixture of intoxication and delight, Shi Nuo gradually surrendered.
The beast’s instincts took over. Hugh Elvis was fierce and demanding, occasionally softening at the Omega’s cries, showering him with kisses and gentle touches, like the most tender lover.
Shi Nuo was often deceived by this facade, his tear-filled eyes looking up at the Alpha as he kissed his lips and cheeks.
Sometimes, captivated by the man’s striking looks, he would even initiate the kisses himself.
He enjoyed being held and kissed gently, the illusion of being cherished and loved comforting, even if it was just an illusion.
Insecurity had taken root within him. Having never been in a relationship, he didn’t know what it felt like to be loved. His relationship with his family was strained, and he was constantly being scolded and criticized.
Some Alphas had shown interest in him, but he rarely sensed genuine affection from them. Some would stare at his face, others would subtly release their pheromones, trying to influence him.
He had become increasingly introverted, avoiding social gatherings. He envied those who found love and acceptance, but he lacked the courage to seek it himself.
The longing hidden within him intensified during his vulnerable heat cycle. After being permanently marked, his instincts drove him to seek the Alpha’s comfort, the usually suppressed desires now unleashed. He clung to Hugh, wanting to be close.
Except when the pleasure became too overwhelming, pushing him to the edge of collapse.
Lost in the continuous cycle of kissing, embracing, and mating, Hugh Elvis was completely enthralled.
For three days, he was energetic and enthusiastic, showing no signs of fatigue, his usual languid air replaced by a possessive intensity.
Shi Nuo received the physical comfort he craved, but his stamina and mental fortitude were no match for a young, top-tier Alpha.
Whenever he drifted off to sleep, exhausted, he would be woken by the demanding Alpha.
Towards the end, he couldn’t even cry anymore, his eyes unfocused and listless, clinging to Hugh like a drowning man, unable to reach for a lifeline, held captive in the Alpha’s embrace.
Daylight broke.
The wind blew in through the gaps in the window, lifting the sheer curtains. Sunlight streamed into the room, illuminating the scene of disarray.
Shi Nuo, feeling the warmth of the sunlight on his skin, squinted. As the heat within him subsided, his heat cycle finally ending, his mind gradually cleared.
The bedroom was filled with the mingled scent of their pheromones, a sweet floral fragrance mixed with another, more pungent aroma.
He groaned softly, his arms tightening around Hugh Elvis’s back, leaving scratches on the Alpha’s muscular back.
His nails were trimmed, rounded and harmless, but in moments of desperation, he would instinctively dig his nails in, leaving marks.
A few minutes later, Shi Nuo’s eyes cleared, his face and ears flushed, but he had grown accustomed to this embrace, the warmth of their bodies pressed together bringing him a sense of comfort.
After a while, Hugh got out of bed. Shi Nuo lay there, then reached out and pulled the Alpha back, wanting him close, wanting to rest his head against his chest.
They kissed again, Hugh’s lips gently caressing Shi Nuo’s, his touch tender and loving.
Now that he was clear-headed, Shi Nuo enjoyed the intimacy but didn’t blindly respond, his stomach still swollen and sensitive.
Even his wrists were covered in love bites.
These “crimes” were a testament to the Alpha’s possessive nature.
But he couldn’t bring himself to pull away, remaining in Hugh’s embrace, silently seeking comfort.
Not receiving a kiss in return, Hugh Elvis wasn’t bothered. He simply wanted to kiss the Omega more, again and again, never enough. He gently nibbled Shi Nuo’s lower lip, parting his soft, compliant lips, deepening the kiss.
Shi Nuo slept soundly, curled up on the thick rug, a thin blanket draped over him, his cheeks flushed with sleep.
Hugh Elvis opened the bedroom door and quietly entered. Seeing the Omega sleeping peacefully, he hesitated, then decided not to wake him.
He went to the kitchen and set the stove to a low, warming setting. The rice porridge had been simmering for a while, its rich aroma filling the air. A plate of boiled potatoes and a plate of boiled shrimp were on the counter.
All simple, boiled dishes.
However, he didn’t know when Shi Nuo would wake up. If it was soon, the Omega would be hungry.
The white-haired man stood at the counter, his expression serious, considering how to keep the food warm. Apart from the stove, the kitchen had no other warming devices.
After a moment, he took out another pot, filled it with boiling water, placed a steaming rack inside, and then placed the plates of potatoes and shrimp on the rack. This should keep them warm.
If Shi Nuo slept too late, he would have to reheat them.
Satisfied, Hugh Elvis didn’t hesitate. In a flash of white light, the giant white wolf emerged. He activated the intelligent system with his voice, and as he left the house, the heavy metal doors and windows locked automatically.
The white wolf, its movements agile, sniffed the air, searching for prey.
After their passionate encounter, he was also feeling hungry.
However, his physiology was still closer to that of a beast, his human form not yet fully stabilized, and his hunger drove him to seek fresh meat and blood.
The vast plain stretched before him.
The giant white wolf, unrestrained, ran across the wilderness, like a white wind, a white flame, a fleeting shadow.
A pack of gray wolves was hunting a large prey. Hidden in the tall, dense grass, they silently stalked their target, gradually encircling it.
Then, they pounced, several adult wolves attacking the prey, tearing at it with their teeth.
The herd of large, herbivorous sheep scattered in panic, a cloud of dust rising in their wake.
The wolves quickly moved aside, their green eyes fixed on their trapped prey.
A white blur swept past them, ruffling their fur, and they whimpered and yelped, tucking their tails between their legs.
The white wolf glanced at the fleeing sheep. It didn’t like the taste of their meat, which was too tough, and continued on its way.
It hadn’t meant to disturb the gray wolves; it had simply been too lazy to make a detour.
A herd of deer was drinking by the river, the same small-antlered red deer it had eaten before. The white wolf changed direction and ran towards them.
Unlike ordinary predators, it didn’t need to use the grass or trees for cover. Its enhanced speed and other abilities made stealth unnecessary.
It clamped its jaws around the neck of a red deer before the herd even reacted, scattering in all directions.
The lead stag, its muscular body and large antlers more impressive than the others, tried to protect its herd, but faced with the white wolf’s overwhelming strength, it could only flee.
The giant wolf carried its prey to a clean area by the river.
The other animals watched warily from a distance, then, seeing that it wasn’t pursuing them, resumed drinking and grazing.
With practiced ease, it ripped open the deer’s belly with its claws, tore off chunks of tender meat, and devoured them.
As it ate, its pheromones, strong and aggressive, warned off any scavengers.
A small, spotted dog with rounded ears, hidden in the grass, its nose twitching at the scent of blood, was tempted to approach, but seeing the giant wolf, it quickly turned and fled before entering the range of its pheromones.
It remembered the white wolf.
After its arrival, the plain had a new king. The fight that day had been swift and brutal, unlike the previous beast king’s prolonged battles with other predators.
The one-eyed tiger king had been ferocious, its massive size and savage nature a terror to all. It would often gouge out the eyes of its opponents as a form of intimidation, its favorite prey the tender flesh of young animals. Its large appetite often led it to slaughter entire families, leaving no survivors.
The tiger king’s reign of terror had cast a shadow over the plains along the riverbank for two years, forcing many animal families to flee, their young killed, their herds decimated.
But the tiger king had seemed small and weak compared to the white wolf, defeated in a single, decisive battle, its throat crushed.
Many animals had witnessed the fight. The small, spotted dog, hidden in the grass, had also seen everything, trembling with fear as the white wolf let out a victorious roar.
After the change in leadership, the rampant killing stopped, the bloody shadow cast by the tiger king lifted, and the plain returned to its former tranquility.
The animals that had fled gradually returned to the fertile riverbanks, their ancestral home, sensing the danger had passed.
