Married to a Fierce Wolf 7

Chapter 7

Shi Nuo’s mind was a jumble. Only after his trembling subsided did he regain some clarity.

Realizing that the white wolf behind him was Hugh Elvis, and not a mindless beast, the relief of surviving didn’t fully register. The compromising state of his body was far more prominent, mortifying him deeply.

He had never experienced anything like this. Even though there was no one else around, Hugh Elvis’s presence made it feel no different from being exposed in public.

Shi Nuo, with his naturally gentle personality, found it difficult to face this reality.

However, the white wolf’s tongue licked his neck again, the rough, wet warmth seeming to deliberately touch his scent gland, intensifying his physiological response.

An Omega’s scent gland was hidden beneath the skin at the back of the neck. The skin appeared smooth and flat, with no visible difference, but Alphas knew that beneath that small patch of skin lay the sweetest scent in the world.

The temporary mark took effect. Towards the Alpha who had marked him, Shi Nuo felt a sense of dependence, even security, in his presence and the release of his pheromones.

But no amount of security could dispel the shame and embarrassment he felt at this moment. He pressed his legs tightly together, not wanting Hugh Elvis to discover his current state.

Alphas had an exceptionally keen sense of smell, and combined with the wolf’s instincts, Shi Nuo’s attempts to conceal his condition were futile. He had been exposed from the start.

The wolf’s warm breath trailed down his spine, gradually becoming hot.

His backside was sniffed, even nudged, and Shi Nuo froze completely.

Even though his personal information indicated he was married, and his spouse was Hugh Elvis, he had never experienced anything like this.

In civilized society, Alphas mostly appeared in human form. Courtship, relationships, and intimacy were generally conducted in human form.

At least in Shi Nuo’s limited social circle and relatively innocent understanding, an Alpha, to demonstrate reason and decorum, wouldn’t use their beast form to do this to an Omega they had temporarily marked.

As his groin was repeatedly sniffed, Shi Nuo’s shame reached its limit.

Tears streamed down his face, which was flushed crimson, the heat spreading to his pale neck. He choked back a sob.

“No.”

He reached behind him, trying to push the wolf’s head away. He didn’t dare look back, only going by feel. His hand met a patch of soft fur.

His head was being petted. The white wolf stopped what it was doing.

The Omega was too weak. Even his attempts at resistance felt like petting to the white wolf. It furrowed its brows, seemingly impatient.

It stared at the person huddled on the ground, then quickly grabbed the back of Shi Nuo’s shirt and turned, running towards the house.

Shi Nuo was lifted into the air, dangling. Before he could react, he was tossed upwards.

He landed dizzily, realizing he had been thrown onto the white wolf’s back.

He clung to the broad, sturdy wolf’s back as it ran, the scenery blurring past. In his panic, he gripped the white fur on either side.

He hadn’t operated his optical brain or shown his face for the scanner to recognize him, yet the front door of the house opened automatically. The white wolf carried him into the living room.

Shi Nuo remembered that Hugh Elvis was the primary authorized user of the house. He had seen his name in the system.

He had set alerts for the appearance of medium and large beasts, but Hugh Elvis’s information was already in the system, so his optical brain hadn’t issued a warning when the white wolf approached.

The white wolf tilted slightly, and Shi Nuo slid off its back, landing on the soft, thick rug in the living room.

Shi Nuo sat on the rug, bracing himself with his hands behind him. As the wolf’s head approached, he instinctively leaned back but didn’t dare move.

Man and wolf stared at each other.

The icy blue eyes reflected his disheveled appearance, his clothes and hair messy, his clothes covered in dirt.

After being chased, running, and falling into the pit, his face wasn’t clean either.

The white wolf’s gaze was utterly indifferent, revealing no emotion.

After a long moment, it looked away from Shi Nuo and began to survey the house, walking further inside.

Shi Nuo noticed that its size had decreased. Its gait was relaxed and casual, as if patrolling its territory.

Soon, the house was filled with the Alpha’s dominant pheromones, lingering in the air, as if in a display of dominance.

Without the stimulation of his scent gland, the temporary heat induced by the marking subsided, and the damp fabric of his pants felt cold against his skin. Shi Nuo was deeply embarrassed.

The white wolf walked towards the dining area. Its paws were thick and powerful, its large body strong and agile, yet it moved silently.

Seeing that the wolf was ignoring him, Shi Nuo got up and went to his bedroom.

He entered the bathroom and took off his clothes. The wound on his calf stung, and he looked down to see four clear puncture wounds.

The medical device was in the bedroom. He opened the bathroom door.

Although he had locked the bedroom door when he came in, Shi Nuo still glanced at it.

The Alpha’s pheromones were strong, their scent permeating the bedroom, filling it with a cold, faint fragrance.

He retrieved the handheld medical device from the closet and returned to the bathroom, cleaning the wound and the surrounding area. He turned on the device, selected the disinfection option, waited for a minute, and then selected the external bleeding treatment.

A medicinal mist sprayed from the device, coating the wound with a cool sensation that eased the pain.

Shi Nuo opened the bathroom cabinet, placed the medical device inside, turned, and stood in front of the sink, turning on the water to wash his face.

After two minutes, the mist on his leg solidified into a waterproof film.

Shi Nuo stepped into the shower and, lowering his head, silently washed himself clean.

The sun was high in the sky, bright and hot.

After showering and carefully washing his underwear, Shi Nuo slowly emerged from the bedroom to find the white wolf gone.

The Alpha’s pheromones were still strong, clearly marking the entire house as his territory.

Not only the house, but Shi Nuo himself also carried the faint, cold, and unique fragrance.

He stared blankly at the open metal door. The unfamiliar Alpha, after releasing his pheromones, had stopped restraining himself. Shi Nuo could discern the direction he had gone from the lingering scent in the air.

The fragrance was somewhat familiar.

He thought for a moment and then remembered: it was very similar to an ice lotus he had once seen.

It was a snow lotus from a cold planet, very rare. The Shi family had acquired one through another noble family’s channels. After it was transported to their home, it bloomed quickly.

The ice lotus unfolded layer by layer, exuding a faint chill. Its fleshy petals were thick, white as snow at the base, becoming more transparent towards the edges, like sparkling crystals, gleaming under the light.

The cold, faint fragrance of the lotus was unforgettable.

That unique scent, like ice and snow, tempered by the lotus fragrance, was a non-threatening, gentle coldness with a distinct calming effect. Shi Nuo remembered sleeping very soundly that night.

The white wolf’s pheromones were even more unique, like the ice lotus in bloom, with glistening dewdrops falling and shattering on the petals, the splashing water releasing a cold, faint fragrance with a refreshing hint of moisture.

Whether Omega or Alpha, pheromones that could evoke such vivid imagery through scent were rare.

The last time Shi Nuo had encountered such dynamic pheromones was with a top-tier male Omega. His pheromones weren’t unusual, a simple osmanthus fragrance, but most people who smelled it could imagine a romantic scene of osmanthus blossoms falling under the moonlight.

That Omega had a high pheromone level, not only possessing perfect looks but also exceptional pheromone soothing abilities. He was an idol admired and praised by countless people, some captivated by his beauty, others by his remarkable talent.

Shi Nuo had met him once and smelled his pheromones when the Omega had released them to calm a berserk Alpha. The wide dispersal of pheromones had reached him as well.

The benevolent, gentle pheromones had enveloped him, as if he were bathed in the romantic moonlight, making him relax involuntarily.

The memory dissipated like a passing breeze.

The white wolf had left, its scent fading. Shi Nuo wasn’t a top-tier Omega and couldn’t sense pheromones from a great distance.

He came out of the bedroom, carrying his dirty clothes and shoes, and patted off the soil and grass clippings at the doorway.

He couldn’t brush off the damp mud from his pants. His cheeks flushed, and he lowered his eyes, filled a basin with water, carried it outside, and squatted down to wash his pants clean before returning inside to put them in the washing machine.

He soaked his muddy shoes in water, then used a cleaning device to remove the dirt from the rug, which had fallen from his clothes when the white wolf had put him down. After cleaning the rug, he sat at the doorway to scrub his shoes.

Since arriving here, he had done many things he had never done before.

Before today, he rarely lost focus while working, but now his thoughts kept returning to the white wolf.

Shi Nuo felt a bit dazed. He hadn’t interacted with anyone from the Elvis family, nor had he met Hugh Elvis. He only knew that his beast form was a wolf.

He and Hugh Elvis were complete strangers. Being suddenly marked by him had left him at a loss.

However, the effects of the temporary marking were hard to ignore.

Even in the white wolf’s absence, the lingering Alpha pheromones brought him a sense of physiological comfort.

After showering, he felt much better. The soft, clean clothes no longer made him feel embarrassed.

Two days passed, and the white wolf didn’t appear.

The wounds on his calf had healed, leaving light pink scars that would fade over time.

The path outside was uneven, full of potholes. Fortunately, he hadn’t twisted his ankle while being chased by those creatures; that would have been even more troublesome.

The Alpha’s pheromones hadn’t fully dissipated from his body, and Shi Nuo could still smell the cold lotus fragrance.

An Alpha unable to shift into human form was considered a regressed, useless waste by many. Their bodily functions would deteriorate over time, and they would lose their reason, becoming true beasts, only slightly stronger physically than ordinary animals.

But the white wolf’s pheromones were potent and strong, completely unlike those of a regressed Alpha. Even a temporary mark had triggered the Omega’s heat, something not easily achieved by Alphas in civilized society.

Such dominant pheromones undoubtedly belonged to a top-tier Alpha.

Nature followed the law of the jungle. Shi Nuo understood this. The Alpha’s pheromones on him were enough to deter many wild animals.

He hadn’t forgotten the tools he had left behind. After checking his optical brain and confirming there were no other beasts nearby, he went out in the same direction as before.

As for the white wolf’s whereabouts, he couldn’t sense them. Even after two days, the wilderness was still filled with Hugh Elvis’s pheromones. His territorial instincts were incredibly strong.

This brought Shi Nuo an unprecedented sense of security. No wild animal could resist the intimidating aura of a beastman like that.

When he reached the vicinity of the “watermelon vine,” he stopped and saw several crushed “watermelons,” their red and green, sticky remains scattered on the ground.

The bright red tongues had become piles of rotting flesh, oozing crimson liquid and emitting a putrid, sweet smell.

The thick vine had also been uprooted. Having been exposed to the sun for two days, its leaves and stem had turned yellow.

He didn’t see the dog-like, rat-like creatures. They must have fled.

The phenomenon of plants using scent as bait to hunt in cooperation with animals wasn’t unfamiliar to him. It was a symbiotic relationship, documented in many nature documentaries. He just had never witnessed it firsthand.

After retrieving his buckets, knife, and wooden board, Shi Nuo couldn’t say what he was feeling. He returned to the house in silence, as usual.

Shi Nuo was sent to a private planet, the territory of an Alpha, who was to be his arranged marriage partner.

When the tranquilizer wore off, all that remained outside the window was the boundless starry sky.

The starship left him on a barren wasteland and hurriedly departed, not even landing properly, as if fleeing some ferocious beast.

In the distance, a beast roared, and the ground trembled.

He was alone in this wilderness; he was the only person on the entire planet.

In the eyes of the wild beasts on this primitive planet, a beautiful and fragile Omega was merely food, no longer afforded courtesy or protection.

As for his intended partner, he held no hope. The Alpha had already succumbed to his beastly nature, becoming like the other wild creatures, and was nowhere to be found.

Injured while searching for food, Shi Nuo was picked up from a pit by a giant white wolf. He closed his eyes, waiting for death. However, the fangs that should have pierced his throat instead sank into the gland at the back of his neck. The Alpha's pheromones were injected, causing him to tremble uncontrollably.

The arrival of the only Omega allowed for the release of pent-up pheromones.

Shi Nuo saw the white wolf eating but dared not approach too closely.

Fresh, bloody meat was right before his eyes. He finally received long-awaited meat from the wolf's mouth.

While Shi Nuo enjoyed his meal, the white wolf lay sleeping on the living room floor.

When night fell, it entered Shi Nuo's room.

The inherently cold white wolf had no intention of giving anything away. If one wanted food, one had to exchange it for something else.

Later, Shi Nuo's lower abdomen swelled slightly. He patted his belly, somewhat surprised. How could he have gained weight in such a place?

In the snowy field, the majestic white wolf returned with its prey in its mouth, its icy blue eyes cold and handsome.

Shi Nuo was overjoyed by its return, his eyes filled with delight at the sight of the plump prey. There was meat to eat again, and the price he had to pay for the meat was no longer a concern.

At the dinner table, the tall, sturdy, white-haired man bent the knife and fork in his hand as he watched the Omega, whose eyes held only the image of meat.

Theme: Only by surviving can one witness all that is beautiful. Food will come, and so will love.
