Chapter 51: Someone Goes to the Su Family

Yun Huizhou had a smile on his face, but no matter how Lian Li looked at it, that smile gave him the creeps.

Fortunately, Yun Huizhou did not take any further action. Instead, he turned to look behind them and said, “Young Master Su, there is no need to chase us. We were just stretching our limbs.”

After a short wait, Su Jun’s figure finally appeared. He was panting slightly and looked as if he were struggling a bit.

Lian Li was somewhat surprised. Su Jun’s martial arts were better than his own, so how could he not keep up?

Su Jun took a moment to catch his breath before apologizing for following them. “My apologies to you both. It’s just that when I saw you two leaving in such a hurry, I worried that the Su family’s hospitality had been lacking and caused you offense. I only wanted to catch up and explain.”

Furthermore, they truly could not stand to see Su Fu ruined by Su Shan.

“We’ve had enough exercise. Let’s head back.” Yun Huizhou nodded to Su Jun, then suddenly clamped his hand around Lian Li’s wrist.

Lian Li gave a small struggle, but he couldn’t break free.

He stole another glance at Yun Huizhou’s expression. Seeing that his face was as calm as usual, Lian Li figured that Su Jun’s interruption had likely distracted him from the matter of Lian Li pinching him. He felt a slight sense of relief.

Just as the three were about to head back, Yun Huizhou suddenly stopped. He turned his head to look deep into the woods.

Yun Huizhou stepped out from behind the tree. He looked at the oblivious Su Jun and asked, “What does Su Shan look like? What are his characteristics?”

Hearing this, Lian Li instinctively looked toward Fengyi City. A group of people had just headed that way… surely not…

Su Jun didn’t think too much of it and said, “Su Shan has darker skin and is about the same height as me. When he came to the Su family last time, he had short hair. I don’t know what he did to it, but his hair looks withered and yellow.”

Lian Li perked up instantly upon hearing this! Miss Su was so beautiful; that little yellow-haired punk needed to stay far away!

He grabbed Yun Huizhou’s hand and said, “We must defend Miss Su to the death!”

Both Yun Huizhou and Su Jun were left dazed by his sudden outburst.

Yun Huizhou, in particular, recalled that this kid had just been denying any desire to marry Miss Su. Although he might have been saying one thing while meaning another, Yun Huizhou had just given the kid a thrashing earlier; he hadn’t expected him to still be so persistent.

Then, he noticed Yun Huizhou change direction, taking a detour.

He tugged at Yun Huizhou’s clothes and said in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Aren’t we going to intercept them?”

Yun Huizhou replied, “There are eight of them. If they don’t want to stay and fight, one or two will inevitably break away from the battlefield and run into the Su Mansion. With Su Jun absent, there is likely no one in the Su Mansion capable of detecting them. Even if they are discovered, no one can stop them. By then, I fear Miss Su would be abducted.”
