Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

The Little Mermaid Fell for the Jiaoren 39

Chapter 39: Little Boyfriend

The white-haired cub’s mother was the little mute’s therapist. Then the “great hero” that the cub had mentioned was very likely the little mute.

Deng Xi could imagine that even though the little mute had grown up among humans, he had very likely been ostracized because of his tail. He had no one to play with and could only stay in a corner, all alone.

Poor little thing.

Deng Xi clumsily patted his silver hair.

The meticulously tied-back silver hair was messed up, and a few silver strands stuck out. Si Jisheng’s breath hitched. After a long while, he finally said, “No one will say that about me.”

Deng Xi was unhappy. “But I already know. Little Mute can’t lie.”

It was an old story, and Si Jisheng didn’t want to bring it up again. Logically, besides himself, very few people would know about these things.

Unless these things came from Dr. Li’s mouth.

Si Jisheng did not want to hire a human who did not abide by professional ethics and credit. He paused. “What do you know?”

Deng Xi placed his hands on Si Jisheng’s shoulders and used them to support his body. He belatedly realized that he seemed to have let it slip.

The human cub’s mother hadn’t told the cub, which meant that it couldn’t be said.

Deng Xi pursed his lips. “I guessed it.”

In his haste, he looked down at his own tail. “Those human cubs don’t like my tail.”

Deng Xi was not stupid.

He knew that normal humans would not grow rabbit ears, nor would they have a fish tail. He also knew that most normal humans were actually different from Aier and the others, and would think that they were monsters.

“They said that people with tails are all monsters.”

“Has Little Mute been called that before?”

Si Jisheng placed his hand on Deng Xi’s back to prevent him from falling into the flying chair if his tail couldn’t support him. He said in a low voice, “No.”

Deng Xi tilted his head and said in confusion, “Really?”

Si Jisheng nodded.

Deng Xi blinked. “Is it because Little Mute hid his tail?”

Si Jisheng paused.

Deng Xi thought of the medicine that the white-haired cub had taken. He had looked very, very pained after taking it. Ever since he had come to the human world, he had rarely seen the little mute’s tail.

Deng Xi was a little sad.

Because he had suddenly realized that the first time he had met the silver-tail, the wounds on his body were very likely not caused by the large fish in the sea, but by humans.

The little mute he had always wanted to protect in the ocean had actually not had a good life in the human world. The silver-tail had probably been hurt by many humans before he had slowly become a very amazing person that the white-haired cub admired.

It shouldn’t be like this.

Deng Xi thought.

“Little Mute, don’t take the medicine anymore.” Deng Xi thought that Si Jisheng, like the white-haired cub, had also hidden his tail with medicine and grown human legs. Deng Xi’s blue eyes filled with tears. “Our tails are not a sickness.”

“And Little Mute is not a monster.”

The merman’s low murmur entered his ears. Si Jisheng lowered his eyes and saw the little merman looking up at him seriously.

“Actually, the first time we met, I secretly touched Little Mute’s tail.”

His throat seemed to be blocked by something. So it hadn’t been his imagination at that time. Si Jisheng’s chest heaved slowly once.

The confessing Deng Xi’s ears quietly turned red, but he still endured the shyness and said in a small voice, “I really like Little Mute’s tail. It’s shiny and very beautiful.”

This was almost equivalent to the little merman courting him.

Si Jisheng restrained himself and rolled his Adam’s apple.

“Can Little Mute, for my sake, not take the medicine and not hide his tail?”

“I don’t need to take medicine. My tail can also turn into human legs.”

It took Deng Xi a while to react. He had misunderstood. The little mute had not deliberately hidden his tail. He was stunned for a moment. “Then the sickness Little Mute is treating?”

Si Jisheng said in a low voice, “It has nothing to do with this.”

A blush instantly spread to the corners of his eyes.

Deng Xi: “I-I-I—”

A fish who secretly touched another’s tail on their first meeting, in their merman clan, would be caught as a little pervert fish!

Deng Xi had originally planned to hide it from the little mute for the rest of his life and not tell anyone. But he had just said it out loud!

It was one thing to secretly molest him, but after he had said it, he had even praised the little mute’s tail for being beautiful!

It was as if after he had committed a crime, he had swaggered and told the owner, without any shame at all.

Deng Xi “I”-ed for a long time but couldn’t squeeze out a single word. His crime was set in stone, and there was no excuse. And he had admitted it himself.

Si Jisheng asked in a hoarse voice, “Was it nice to touch?”

Deng Xi bit his lip, and the pink blush had almost reached the base of his neck. After a long while, he finally stammered in a small voice, “A little bit.”

“A little bit… nice to touch.”

Deng Xi buried his flushed face in Si Jisheng’s shoulder and neck. His soft, tender cheeks were pressed against the cold epaulets, almost leaving a red mark, but he never lifted his head.

It was too much.

How could he ask him how it felt?

Deng Xi pursed his lips. Because of the action of burying his face, his voice sounded very muffled, small and light, and was squeezed out of his throat with embarrassment, and then entered Si Jisheng’s ears along with his hot, moist breath. “Then my tail, does Little Mute think it’s nice to touch?”

After speaking, Deng Xi was like a little ostrich, burying his head firmly in the man’s clothes.

The little mute had clearly touched his tail too.

How could he only ask him?

Deng Xi was determined to win back a point.

And then he felt the chest that was pressed against him vibrate, and heard a low, hoarse male voice by his ear.

“Mmm, I also really like it.”

Heat instantly spread to his burning face. Deng Xi breathed in small, shallow breaths, but his heart was still beating very fast.

So strange.

Discussing tails like this, it was as if he and the little mute were courting each other.

But he and the little mute were both male. Next to Deng Xi’s cheek was the silver-tail’s unignorable Adam’s apple.

Courting or something.

It was an illusion!

Deng Xi took a deep breath and, at a loss, changed the subject. “I’m hungry.”

This change of subject was simply too abrupt.

Almost the next second, Deng Xi heard the little mute let out a very light laugh, almost like a breath of air.

But even if it was just a breath of air, in the quiet lounge, especially at such a close distance, it still felt deafening to Deng Xi.

Deng Xi propped himself up, at a loss. He didn’t dare to lift his face. His eyelids were lowered, and his curly eyelashes blinked. He raised his hand and pressed his empty little stomach, as if urgently seeking confirmation. “I’m really hungry.”

“Little Mute, feel it.”

Si Jisheng raised his palm as he was told and placed it on Deng Xi’s abdomen. Because a Jiaoren’s body temperature was low, and he was wearing mechanical gloves, even his palm felt cool to Deng Xi.

The biomechanical gloves allowed Si Jisheng to clearly feel the heat on Deng Xi’s body. He knew with a single touch that the blue-tail rarely exercised.

Warm and soft.

A touch and then gone.

Si Jisheng’s silver eyes closed with forbearance. He said in a hoarse voice, “Mmm, then let’s go and have lunch.”

Si Jisheng was not the type to be special in the military. Unless he couldn’t control his Jiaoren transformation, he would usually just casually eat a work meal in the military’s cafeteria.

He wanted Deng Xi to try human food.

The Empire’s military uniform was black. When a translucent pink, glittery, biuling mobility chair suddenly appeared in a sea of black, it was undoubtedly very unique.

The golden-haired, blue-tailed little merman had attracted the attention of many people almost immediately. But because there were also staff from the treatment center in the cafeteria, it was not too abrupt.

What truly attracted everyone’s attention was their commander, the Marshal, who was leading the mobility chair!

The adjutant was nudged in the elbow. The moment he turned his head, he saw such a strange scene and instantly choked on his food, coughing violently a few times. “I wasn’t lying, right? Transfer all the money you owe me to my comm later.”

The few colonels and generals who were sitting together unleashed their human gossip nature.

“You really won the bet, kid. The Marshal actually brought his boyfriend to the cafeteria.”

“Isn’t the strange thing that the Marshal is actually in a relationship!”

“As expected of the new species that our Marshal spent a hundred billion on. It’s exactly as recorded in the documents.”

This level of beauty was too overwhelming.

A female general lowered her voice and nudged the adjutant. “I heard that he used to live on a primitive planet?”

The adjutant nodded. “According to those star pirates, that planet is quite unique. There’s no land, and no signs of human life.”

Just as he finished speaking, he saw the female general give a look to the female soldiers at another table. While the Marshal was getting food and the little merman was alone, she pretended to be casual and walked to the side of the mobility chair.

Deng Xi curiously looked at these humans. When their eyes met, he would politely curve his eyelids and reveal a friendly dimple. While waiting for the little mute, he would obediently stay in place.

It wasn’t until a transparent glass jar was placed on his mobility chair that Deng Xi, before he could react, saw a human female with her hair tied up in a neat high ponytail raise an eyebrow and ask him, “Do you sea creature aliens all like to eat dried fish?”

Deng Xi shrank back a little reservedly, but he couldn’t help but be curious. He tilted his head. “What’s dried fish?”

The translucent pink flying chair, the soft golden hair hanging down, and the beautiful pair of blue eyes. Even the clumsy interstellar language he spoke was very pleasant to hear.

The female general’s maternal love was stimulated to the maximum. Her heart was about to be softened by the legendary new species. The female soldiers behind her said, “He really hasn’t eaten anything.”

The little merman in the mobility chair hadn’t even reacted before he was piled high with human snacks, as if he were being fed.

“This is our welcome gift to you.”

“The Marshal’s little boyfriend.”

[Jiaoren Gong x Merman Shòu]

Deng Xi lives on a planet that is all ocean, with no land.

He is the only merman on the entire planet.

Hugging his big tail and counting the days on his little fingers, the lonely little merman grew up day by day.

One day, he discovered another "merman"!

The other was injured and bleeding nonstop. His face was pale and weak—he looked so, so pitiful!

Deng Xi decided that he had to protect this precious, newfound member of his kind.

However, the other seemed to be a little mute and wouldn't speak to him.

Deng Xi painstakingly nursed the "little mute" back to health, only to discover with a heavy heart that once he was healed, the little mute had disappeared.

The other had left him, and Deng Xi was all alone once more.

A long, long time later, the merman was captured by offworlders who invaded his planet. Star pirates began to live-stream an auction for this merman, the only one of his kind in the entire universe.

Inside a cramped water tank, a chain locked around his neck, the merman huddled pitifully in a small corner.

Factions from all corners of the universe were in a frenzy. Who would win the bid for this new species of celestial beauty? Just as the astronomical deal was about to close—the starship's door was blasted open, and a man with features as sharp and cold as a blade stormed in, brandishing a weapon.

The Imperial Marshal, whose very name struck terror into the hearts of his enemies, apprehended all the star pirates and took the little merman home as a spoil of war.

The man gently and patiently taught the little merman everything about the interstellar age.

The sight of the Marshal's features softening left the entire universe slack-jawed.

·

On the very first day he was brought back, Deng Xi discovered that the Marshal also had a large tail. He thrashed it in delight and threw his arms around him, exclaiming, "Little Mute!"

Deng Xi was overjoyed to have found one of his own kind again, so much so that he failed to notice the man's slightly strange expression.

Si Jisheng held Deng Xi's hand, swimming slowly with him in the pool. Actually, he thought, I'm not one of your kind.

I'm not a merman. I'm a Jiaoren.

The Jiaoren of the East are immensely powerful, every part of their bodies a lethal weapon.

Whereas the mermen of the West are weak and powerless—nothing more than useless beauties.
