Chapter 39: Little Boyfriend
The white-haired cub’s mother was the little mute’s therapist. Then the “great hero” that the cub had mentioned was very likely the little mute.
Deng Xi could imagine that even though the little mute had grown up among humans, he had very likely been ostracized because of his tail. He had no one to play with and could only stay in a corner, all alone.
Poor little thing.
Deng Xi clumsily patted his silver hair.
The meticulously tied-back silver hair was messed up, and a few silver strands stuck out. Si Jisheng’s breath hitched. After a long while, he finally said, “No one will say that about me.”
Deng Xi was unhappy. “But I already know. Little Mute can’t lie.”
It was an old story, and Si Jisheng didn’t want to bring it up again. Logically, besides himself, very few people would know about these things.
Unless these things came from Dr. Li’s mouth.
Si Jisheng did not want to hire a human who did not abide by professional ethics and credit. He paused. “What do you know?”
Deng Xi placed his hands on Si Jisheng’s shoulders and used them to support his body. He belatedly realized that he seemed to have let it slip.
The human cub’s mother hadn’t told the cub, which meant that it couldn’t be said.
Deng Xi pursed his lips. “I guessed it.”
In his haste, he looked down at his own tail. “Those human cubs don’t like my tail.”
Deng Xi was not stupid.
He knew that normal humans would not grow rabbit ears, nor would they have a fish tail. He also knew that most normal humans were actually different from Aier and the others, and would think that they were monsters.
“They said that people with tails are all monsters.”
“Has Little Mute been called that before?”
Si Jisheng placed his hand on Deng Xi’s back to prevent him from falling into the flying chair if his tail couldn’t support him. He said in a low voice, “No.”
Deng Xi tilted his head and said in confusion, “Really?”
Si Jisheng nodded.
Deng Xi blinked. “Is it because Little Mute hid his tail?”
Si Jisheng paused.
Deng Xi thought of the medicine that the white-haired cub had taken. He had looked very, very pained after taking it. Ever since he had come to the human world, he had rarely seen the little mute’s tail.
Deng Xi was a little sad.
Because he had suddenly realized that the first time he had met the silver-tail, the wounds on his body were very likely not caused by the large fish in the sea, but by humans.
The little mute he had always wanted to protect in the ocean had actually not had a good life in the human world. The silver-tail had probably been hurt by many humans before he had slowly become a very amazing person that the white-haired cub admired.
It shouldn’t be like this.
Deng Xi thought.
“Little Mute, don’t take the medicine anymore.” Deng Xi thought that Si Jisheng, like the white-haired cub, had also hidden his tail with medicine and grown human legs. Deng Xi’s blue eyes filled with tears. “Our tails are not a sickness.”
“And Little Mute is not a monster.”
The merman’s low murmur entered his ears. Si Jisheng lowered his eyes and saw the little merman looking up at him seriously.
“Actually, the first time we met, I secretly touched Little Mute’s tail.”
His throat seemed to be blocked by something. So it hadn’t been his imagination at that time. Si Jisheng’s chest heaved slowly once.
The confessing Deng Xi’s ears quietly turned red, but he still endured the shyness and said in a small voice, “I really like Little Mute’s tail. It’s shiny and very beautiful.”
This was almost equivalent to the little merman courting him.
Si Jisheng restrained himself and rolled his Adam’s apple.

How could he ask him how it felt?
Deng Xi pursed his lips. Because of the action of burying his face, his voice sounded very muffled, small and light, and was squeezed out of his throat with embarrassment, and then entered Si Jisheng’s ears along with his hot, moist breath. “Then my tail, does Little Mute think it’s nice to touch?”

Deng Xi propped himself up, at a loss. He didn’t dare to lift his face. His eyelids were lowered, and his curly eyelashes blinked. He raised his hand and pressed his empty little stomach, as if urgently seeking confirmation. “I’m really hungry.”
“Little Mute, feel it.”
Si Jisheng raised his palm as he was told and placed it on Deng Xi’s abdomen. Because a Jiaoren’s body temperature was low, and he was wearing mechanical gloves, even his palm felt cool to Deng Xi.
The biomechanical gloves allowed Si Jisheng to clearly feel the heat on Deng Xi’s body. He knew with a single touch that the blue-tail rarely exercised.
Warm and soft.
A touch and then gone.
Si Jisheng’s silver eyes closed with forbearance. He said in a hoarse voice, “Mmm, then let’s go and have lunch.”

He wanted Deng Xi to try human food.

Just as he finished speaking, he saw the female general give a look to the female soldiers at another table. While the Marshal was getting food and the little merman was alone, she pretended to be casual and walked to the side of the mobility chair.

It wasn’t until a transparent glass jar was placed on his mobility chair that Deng Xi, before he could react, saw a human female with her hair tied up in a neat high ponytail raise an eyebrow and ask him, “Do you sea creature aliens all like to eat dried fish?”
Deng Xi shrank back a little reservedly, but he couldn’t help but be curious. He tilted his head. “What’s dried fish?”
The translucent pink flying chair, the soft golden hair hanging down, and the beautiful pair of blue eyes. Even the clumsy interstellar language he spoke was very pleasant to hear.
The female general’s maternal love was stimulated to the maximum. Her heart was about to be softened by the legendary new species. The female soldiers behind her said, “He really hasn’t eaten anything.”
The little merman in the mobility chair hadn’t even reacted before he was piled high with human snacks, as if he were being fed.
