Chapter 61:
The star network’s promotional video for the condom, in order to demonstrate its thinness and impermeability, had also set an 18+ purchase restriction. It had never occurred to them that an adult customer would actually buy it to play with as a balloon.
Si Jisheng opened the communication interface with his adjutant. The unsent message was to notify the removal of that promotional video. He paused for a moment, then resignedly deleted it, word by word.
It was his own lack of consideration.
Si Jisheng turned his head sideways and met Deng Xi’s bewildered gaze. He sighed slightly, stuffed the entire pink box into the pocket of his combat pants, and, with a low thud of his black boots, turned and went upstairs under Deng Xi’s blinking blue eyes and confused gaze.
It wasn’t until the black figure had disappeared that Deng Xi, holding his newly bought little whale pillow, belatedly realized that the little mute had taken his balloon.
When Si Jisheng came down again, Deng Xi impatiently sat up straight. After the little mute had come closer, the little merman tugged at his black combat pants, feeling the pocket.
The moment he pressed down, he realized that there was nothing inside.
Deng Xi reached his hand into the little mute’s pocket in disbelief and felt around again.
He didn’t feel anything.
Si Jisheng lifted his mischievous little hand and uttered three cruel words, “Confiscated.”
Deng Xi was stunned for a moment before he reacted. “No, give it back.” He complained pitifully, “Little Mute is stealing my balloon.”
Si Jisheng squatted down. “That’s not a balloon.”
Deng Xi looked at the little mute with his clear blue eyes, waiting for a reasonable explanation.
Si Jisheng’s lips trembled a few times, but in the end, he said nothing. He was silent for a moment, then frowned and sighed slightly. “Buy something else?”
Deng Xi pursed his lips. “No.”
Deng Xi looked much more reasonable than the silver-tail. “That one is pink, and it has little strawberries.”
Si Jisheng met Deng Xi’s gaze for a moment, not giving in at all. “No.”
Deng Xi pressed his lips together even more tightly and stubbornly stared at the little mute.
Si Jisheng narrowed his silver eyes slightly.
Deng Xi, who was not scared, became even angrier. He turned his head and hugged his chest, sulking, not even looking at the silver-tail behind him.
Si Jisheng was silent for a moment, then stood up from the ground.
After hearing the movement, Deng Xi couldn’t help but prick up his ears, thinking that his protest had been effective. But he waited for a long time without receiving any comfort from the little mute. Instead, a rustling sound kept coming from behind him.
Deng Xi couldn’t help but turn his head back, only to find that the little mute was silently unpacking those express boxes and then sorting each item and putting them away.
If it was a small toy that Deng Xi wanted to play with, it would be placed on the carpet where he was sitting cross-legged.
There was nothing wrong with it.
But the little merman, who was being ignored by the silver-tail, became even angrier.
Deng Xi snorted heavily.
Si Jisheng acted as if he hadn’t heard.
After everything was tidied up, the angry little merman had already unconsciously puffed up his cheeks. Only then did Si Jisheng squat in front of him. His voice was the same as usual, but Deng Xi felt that the little mute’s tone was as cold as his behavior of not coaxing him just now.
Si Jisheng: “Foot.”
Deng Xi sullenly extended his leg.
One of the long white socks on his calf was pulled off. The other, because of Deng Xi’s restless movements, was all piled up at his ankle, loose and sloppy, and was slowly taken off by Si Jisheng.
He took a pair of cotton slippers. “Put on your shoes.”
Deng Xi said petulantly, “I don’t want to wear them.”
Si Jisheng sighed slightly. “It’s time for dinner.”
Deng Xi looked down at his empty little stomach. He hesitated for a moment, but still stubbornly shook his head. “I’m not hungry.”
Si Jisheng pondered for a moment. “Then you can play for a while. Come and eat when dinner is ready.”
And then, under Deng Xi’s disbelieving gaze, he got up and left. Si Jisheng had always been controlling Deng Xi’s diet, considering the little merman’s appetite. Every meal was scientifically allocated to provide the appropriate amount of energy.
But today, he had rarely had the mechanical butler take out all kinds of sweet raw seafood from the cold storage.
Deng Xi got up from the carpet by himself and, barefoot, carefully stepped onto the floor, walking slowly towards the pool with a “patter.”
The little merman, who had his head lowered and was sulking, walked for a while, then remembered something and walked back with a “patter.” He took out the biscuit that he had originally wanted to give to the little mute today from the flying chair.
He wouldn’t give it to the little mute.
He had also confiscated it!
Deng Xi thought with puffed cheeks, this would be his dinner tonight. He didn’t want to eat with the little mute.
Deng Xi slowly walked to the side of the pool, sat down with his legs exhausted, took off all his clothes, hugged the biscuit, and, turning into a blue fish tail, swam back to the front of the shell bed.
Then he curled up inside and, with a heavy “clatter,” closed the shell.
Deng Xi hugged his big tail and secretly tore open the biscuit in the darkness. He wanted to fill his growling little stomach, but the biscuit, after being soaked in seawater, tasted particularly strange, and the crumbs filled the shell bed.
Deng Xi took a small bite, forced himself to swallow it, and then didn’t want to eat anymore.
When Si Jisheng had prepared dinner, he did not see Deng Xi, who was supposed to be playing with his toys on the carpet in the living room. He skillfully walked to the side of the pool and, sure enough, saw the human clothes that had been taken off and piled up on the shore.
The white shell in the corner, which had originally been wide open, was now tightly closed.
Si Jisheng also took off his clothes, turned into a silver fish tail, and swam to the side of the shell at the bottom of the pool, knocking lightly.
A turning sound came from inside the shell, but it was not opened.
Si Jisheng waited patiently. He knocked the first time, the second time, the third time…
On the fourth time, the shell was opened a small crack. His silver eyes keenly saw the biscuit crumbs floating out with the flow of the seawater, and a very faint smile appeared in his eyes.
The Jiaoren’s subsonic voice was blurry on the seabed. When his voice was very soft, it was as if he were deliberately teasing a small fish. “Dinner is ready. Are you hungry?”
Deng Xi gripped the biscuit in his hand, pursed his lips slightly, and his voice, when it reached outside the shell and passed through the seawater, sounded even more muffled. “I’m not hungry.”
“Is that so?”
The tightly closed shell was suddenly opened. The darkness was instantly dispelled, and the light illuminated the inside of the shell completely. Deng Xi frantically hid the biscuit behind his back and was the first to complain, “How can Little Mute suddenly open my shell!”
The little merman’s hiding action was completely exposed under Si Jisheng’s eyes. He pretended not to have seen it and chose to save Deng Xi a little face. He said seriously, “You can’t skip dinner just because you’re sulking.”
Deng Xi sensed that the little mute’s tone seemed to be softening. He quickly said, “Then Little Mute, give me back the balloon.”
Si Jisheng repeated again, “It’s not a balloon.”
Deng Xi’s little face scrunched up in confusion. “Then it’s a water balloon!”
Si Jisheng denied, “It’s not a water balloon either.”
Deng Xi, like a curious baby, “Then what is it?”
Si Jisheng was slightly silent. “Let’s eat dinner first.”
He still didn’t want to tell him.
Deng Xi turned his back again, sulking. Of course, he still remembered to hide the biscuit in the opposite direction.
Si Jisheng looked at Deng Xi’s back. His golden hair was slightly scattered in the shell, and some of it was also scattered in the seawater, revealing his beautiful, curved, and sharp butterfly bones. His blue fish tail was curled up, and his tail fin was drooping dejectedly.
It was as if he wouldn’t turn around if he didn’t tell him.
He knew that this matter could not be easily brushed aside. The more he didn’t tell him, the more it would only increase Deng Xi’s curiosity.
“Do you really want to know?” The silver-tail bent down. He propped himself up on the shell. The moment Deng Xi turned his head, he met his lowered silver eyes and was unexpectedly covered by the little mute’s body.
Deng Xi didn’t know why, but he suddenly sensed a hint of danger. He shrank back in fear, but still nodded his head curiously.
“Its scientific name is a condom, also called a prophylactic.” The silver-tail’s voice was deep, and every word represented a cold, scientific explanation. “It is a barrier-type device that can be used during sexual intercourse.” (From Baidu Encyclopedia)
Deng Xi’s blue eyes widened.
The silver-tail’s thin lips, which were opening and closing, uttered one shameful sentence after another. “To put it in the merman clan’s terms, before a female merman and a male merman mate.”
“A condom is used to cover the merman’s reproductive chamber.”
Every word carried an invisible sense of violation.
Deng Xi’s ears instantly turned beet red. He was flushed and wished he could immediately close the shell.
When Deng Xi grabbed the back of the shell and was about to close it, he was forcibly pushed open by the silver Jiaoren’s pale arm. He was warned in a lecturing tone, “Concentrate and listen.”
Deng Xi’s translucent golden gills, which were as thin as a butterfly’s wings, trembled violently. He squeezed out one word after another with difficulty and admitted defeat in a small voice, “I know, don’t say anymore.”
“I don’t want to hear it.”
“No.”
“Its existence can separate the male’s sperm from the female’s life-giving eggs. Even if the male merman knots and sends out a signal to reproduce, the female will not become pregnant with a merman egg after it’s over.”
His tone was clearly normal, and his expression was also very serious, but every sentence he said was crude, vulgar, and obscene.
“And, it will not affect the pleasure of the process.”
Deng Xi finally couldn’t take it anymore. His face was flushed red. He flicked his tail fin, propped himself up, and covered the silver-tail’s indifferent, thin lips, completely surrendering. “You’re not allowed to say anymore.”
The cold, scientific sentences came to an abrupt end.
Because of Deng Xi’s action of straightening up, the biscuit that he had been hiding was also exposed in the seawater, swaying in the shell.
Deng Xi could block what was in front of him, but not what was behind him.
When he saw the silver-tail’s gaze thoughtfully land on the biscuit that had been torn open and had a small bite taken out of it.
Si Jisheng asked again, “Do you still want to play with the balloon?”
Deng Xi stammered and stuttered, “No.”
“Are you still going to buy things recklessly?”
Deng Xi hesitated for a long while.
Si Jisheng quietly looked at him. After his mouth was covered, the voice that came out still had a deterrent force. “Mmm?”
Deng Xi was forced to retreat step by step. “I’ll show Little Mute before I buy.”
Si Jisheng still wouldn’t let Deng Xi go. “Are you still going to eat biscuits behind my back and not eat dinner?”
Deng Xi couldn’t bear it anymore. He glared at the silver-tail, feeling extremely wronged. “You’re so annoying.”
How could the little mute be like this!
Si Jisheng picked up the biscuit in the seawater, slightly raised his head, and broke free from Deng Xi’s hand that was covering his mouth.
Deng Xi wanted to take it, but the silver-tail dodged. He said anxiously, “This was given to me by Bunny’s mother. I wanted to give it to Little Mute to eat.”
“I didn’t secretly hide the biscuit and eat it myself.”
After Si Jisheng had heard this, he swallowed the remaining small bite of the biscuit in one go. After he had swallowed it, he said, “It tastes good.”
“Can you eat properly now?”
“Alright.”
