Chapter 47 Part 1
After taking so much time off for Shi Mu’s incident and Shi Yan’s funeral, Shi Xu decided against taking any more leave for a while.
Having settled on their outing, he took Gu Sui, Sui Sui, and Little Black to the new theme park in District B on his next day off.
He wasn’t a good guide. He had been to theme parks before, but only for work, eliminating rogue pollutants. This was his first time visiting one purely for leisure.
He planned to wander around and see what caught his eye, but Gu Sui, ever the planner, had already researched the park online, creating a detailed itinerary.
Even before entering the park, Shi Xu realized the importance of planning.
The theme park was popular, especially since it was newly opened. Even on a weekday, the crowds were massive, people queuing outside the entrance since early morning. Despite purchasing express passes, they still had to wait in line.
Having consumed a few pollutants, Sui Sui was now the size of a four-year-old. He refused a stroller or to be carried, determined to walk on his own. Initially the same size as Little Black, he was now large enough to carry the cat.
He held Little Black in one arm, his other hand firmly grasping Shi Xu’s, his eyes wide with wonder, taking in the sights.
This was his first time outside since hatching. He had seen pictures and videos online, but seeing it in person was different.
He decided he liked this world.
After a long wait, they finally entered the park. Gu Sui immediately pulled Shi Xu towards the nearest attraction.
“We have to… go on… the first ride… before the crowd… arrives… Otherwise… the lines… will be long… I read online… at least… one hour… That’s… a waste of… time…” He explained as they ran.
As they neared the ride, Shi Xu pointed at the roller coaster tracks above them. “Are you sure Sui Sui can ride this?”
Gu Sui blinked innocently. “There are… height restrictions… Children… can’t ride… dangerous rides…”
Shi Xu: “If we’re riding, are you leaving Sui Sui alone?”
Gu Sui: “…”
He knew bringing this little brat would be inconvenient.
This was supposed to be his and Wife’s first theme park date. He wanted Wife’s undivided attention.
He grumbled inwardly, but outwardly, he smiled, picking up Sui Sui. “It’s fine. I’ll… carry him… He won’t get lost… He can… experience it… with us…”
Shi Xu, puzzled: “Carry him? How will you get past security?”
Knowing Shi Xu would insist on bringing Sui Sui, Gu Sui had already planned for this. He patted Sui Sui’s head. “Transform.”
Sui Sui obediently shrunk to the size of Shi Xu’s palm.
Gu Sui opened his hand, smiling. “See? Problem… solved.”
Shi Xu: “…”
Mini-Sui Sui waved at Shi Xu. “Little dad, Sui Sui… wants… to be… in your… pocket…”
Gu Sui curled his fingers slightly, hiding Sui Sui. “Okay, okay, let’s go! Every second… is… precious…”
Sui Sui wasn’t a human child. A creature that killed and consumed pollutants wouldn’t be afraid of a roller coaster.
Shi Xu wasn’t worried about him being scared. If Sui Sui wanted to join them, he wouldn’t object.
Thanks to Gu Sui’s meticulous planning, they managed to go on six rides despite the crowds.
There was a fireworks show in the evening. The best viewing spots were taken two hours prior, even the less desirable spots crowded.
They had walked a lot, but Shi Xu, with his superhuman stamina, wasn’t tired.
The day’s activities were like a light jog for Gu Sui and Sui Sui. Although not tired, they didn’t want to be crammed in with the crowd.
Shi Xu had booked a room with a balcony at the theme park hotel, offering a good view of the fireworks.
Sui Sui, having clung to Shi Xu all day, finally released him, sensing Gu Sui’s growing resentment, retreating to a corner of the balcony with Little Black.
The moment Sui Sui was gone, Gu Sui embraced Shi Xu from behind, his favorite position, his broad chest against Shi Xu’s back, his arms around his waist, a possessive embrace that Shi Xu couldn’t escape.
Shi Xu was used to it, no longer resisting, relaxing in his arms, letting Gu Sui support his weight.
The first firework exploded, scattering white sparks across the sky.
They were on the top floor, the closest to the fireworks, the colorful explosions illuminating Shi Xu’s face, reflected in his eyes.
Gu Sui’s lips brushed against his ear, his voice a soft murmur. “So beautiful.”
Shi Xu: “What’s beautiful?”
Gu Sui: “Your eyes.”
Shi Xu turned his head. The fireworks were also reflected in Gu Sui’s eyes, but they couldn’t outshine the golden brilliance within.
He raised his hand, his fingertips tracing the outline of Gu Sui’s eyes.
Gu Sui’s long lashes barely fluttered, his eyes fixed on Shi Xu, not wanting to miss a single moment of his touch.
“Yours are more beautiful,” Shi Xu said.
Gu Sui’s heart soared, fireworks exploding within him.
He smiled, his forehead touching Shi Xu’s. “Do… you… like them?”
Shi Xu’s eyes darkened, perhaps influenced by the romantic atmosphere, or perhaps by the cold night air.
He said, “I do.”
“I… like you… too,” Gu Sui’s voice was filled with joy.
His forehead rubbed against Shi Xu’s, then their noses, then a tentative touch of their lips, Shi Xu not pulling away, their lips meeting in a deep kiss.
Their gasps and the sounds of their mingled saliva were masked by the exploding fireworks. Shi Xu’s eyes remained open, observing Gu Sui’s reaction even amidst the passionate, intoxicating kiss.
His eyes were truly beautiful, captivating him from their first encounter.
He had fallen into Gu Sui’s trap from the very beginning.
Perhaps even Gu Sui himself hadn’t realized he had set such a trap.
“Mmm…” A sudden bite on his tongue made Gu Sui moan softly, but he didn’t release Shi Xu’s tongue until he felt a pressure on his chest, understanding Shi Xu’s silent command.
He licked his lips, his voice laced with grievance. “Wife, why… did you… bite me? Did I… make you… uncomfortable?”
No, it was quite the opposite.
He had simply been startled by his own feelings, a flicker of annoyance prompting the impulsive bite.
Shi Xu’s eyes lifted slightly, a smile curving his lips. “No reason. I just wanted to. Are you angry?”
He liked him, but couldn’t bring himself to say it, wanting to tease him instead.
“No.” Seeing Shi Xu’s smile, he was too happy to be angry.
“I’ll bite you again next time. Do you still want to kiss me?” Shi Xu’s smile widened, his finger tracing Gu Sui’s Adam’s apple.
“Yes!” Gu Sui didn’t hesitate. “I… like… Wife… biting me.”
He seemed to have forgotten his earlier complaint.
Shi Xu’s finger wasn’t just playing with his Adam’s apple, it felt like he was holding his heart, controlling him completely.
The lights and fireworks illuminated Shi Xu’s face, flushed from the kiss, his every expression captivating.
Especially his reddened lips, glistening enticingly, drawing Gu Sui’s gaze.
The color, the slight swelling, were the result of their passionate kiss, the lingering moisture a testament to their mingled saliva.
He remembered the taste, the fullness of his lips, the way they made him tremble.
His soft tongue, his sweet saliva.

[It’s not enough, never enough…]
Gu Sui surrendered completely, lowering his head, his arms tightening around Shi Xu, pulling him closer, letting Shi Xu lean against him, looking up at him with pleading eyes.
“Wife, bite… me… again… Anywhere… you want…”
Preferably, his most… sensitive spot…
Walking around the theme park all day was less tiring than being with Gu Sui.
Exhausted, he fell into a deep sleep, only to be awakened by noises from the next room.
His instincts, honed by years of battling pollutants, overrode his drowsiness, propelling him out of bed.
But the pollutant had already entered the room next door.
The suite had two bedrooms. He and Gu Sui shared one, Sui Sui and Little Black the other.
By the time he reached the door, it was already cracked from the impact. He kicked it open. The window was shattered, a cold wind blowing in, carrying black scales.
Despite his quick reaction, some of the scales entered his eyes, a sharp stinging sensation making him close his eyes. A gust of wind, and he was pulled into a familiar embrace.
“You’re so fast… I almost… didn’t catch you… Relax… I’m here…” Gu Sui’s voice, deeper and richer than usual, reminded him of the rare moments when Gu Sui was serious, the unfamiliar yet reassuring Gu Sui.
It took him only a few seconds to adjust to the stinging in his eyes. When he opened them, the black mist that had filled the room was gone, the black scales floating in the air, blocked by a faint golden shield above them.
He looked up, seeing a large black butterfly clinging to the ceiling, its wings scattering scales, corroding everything they touched.
He was glad he hadn’t inhaled too many. His eyes might have been corroded too.
Relieved, he instinctively looked for Sui Sui.
Before carrying Shi Xu back to their room, Gu Sui had left a golden tentacle to watch over Sui Sui. It had shielded Sui Sui from the butterfly’s attack.
The bed was shattered. Sui Sui, holding Little Black, hid beside the wardrobe, enveloped in a golden shield.
Seeing the shield, Shi Xu relaxed slightly.
Gu Sui waved his hand, and the butterfly exploded, showering the room with black scales. But it wasn’t over.
Heavy breathing came from the balcony.
“Haa… huh…”
It wasn’t human.
The room was almost completely destroyed, the lights out, the moon hidden behind dark clouds. The faint glow from the shield illuminated the room slightly.
Two red eyes appeared in the darkness, then more, and more, countless eyes staring at them from outside.
A swarm of pollutants charged towards them.
Shi Xu instinctively reached for his sword, but Gu Sui grabbed his wrist.
In the darkness, Gu Sui’s eyes shone brighter than the red eyes outside, a faint smile on his face, but his eyes held a chilling madness.
He had said that high-level pollutants no longer craved evolution, their desire for slaughter diminished. He had always appeared gentle and harmless, content with a peaceful life.
Seeing him now, Shi Xu realized it wasn’t that their desire had diminished, but that having reached the highest level, slaughter lost its meaning, becoming a forgotten instinct.
This Gu Sui, effortlessly eliminating A-class pollutants, was the real Gu Sui.
He wasn’t a harmless human. He was an SSS-class pollutant.
The pollutants, prepared for a fight, swarmed them relentlessly, wave after wave, the room filling with their corpses, the stench overwhelming.
Sui Sui, sensing the danger, hid behind Shi Xu with Little Black.
He showed no fear, clinging to Shi Xu for protection, but his eyes shone with excitement.
Something reached out from behind, its arm severed before it could touch Sui Sui’s shoulder.
“Aaaaaah—”
Even evil pollutants cried out in pain.
The sword flashed again, another pollutant falling, its exploding body blocked by the golden shield. Shi Xu still instinctively flinched.
After years of battling pollutants, this was the first time he didn’t have to worry about being contaminated. Gu Sui’s shield was quite useful. He should ask for one.
