Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

The Pitiful Omega’s Contract Marriage with a Wealthy Tycoon 78

Chapter 78: Side Couple: Qin Chudong × Wen Yue (End) [Extra]

With his wife by his side, even though the honeymoon’s end meant returning to work at the company, it wasn’t so hard for Qin Chudong. He even walked with a spring in his step, full of joy.
Every day before dawn, he would wake up refreshed, first give his wife a kiss, then get out of bed glowing, and personally make his wife a heart-shaped fried egg for breakfast.
The breakfast would be kept warm in the microwave. His wife, who had worked hard until midnight the night before, would only wake up around noon to eat.
After finishing work in the morning, CEO Qin would discreetly pack his lunch from the cafeteria, return to his office with great satisfaction, and open his phone to video call Wen Yue.
He would call him “honey” in a cloying voice, and would only eat after his wife on the other end had taken a bite.
His assistant, who had once come in with a file and had accidentally witnessed his boss’s other side, had truly thought he had seen a ghost, and had almost dropped his eyeballs into his lunchbox.
On the weekends, Qin Chudong would also reserve his time for his wife.
When they went shopping at the mall, he was his wife’s tireless clothes rack. At the art gallery, he was a connoisseur who commented with great authority.
And at night, he was the huffing and puffing Alpha who worked the hardest.
The Eldest Young Master Qin was very confident. His love life, just like his life, was still incredibly smooth.
If he could, he really wanted to become a pendant and stick to Wen Yue 24/7.
Of course, what he liked most was his wife’s heat. Surrounded by the freesia pheromones, he could fulfill his wishes with a clear conscience.

One day, the two of them were watching a romance movie in the home theater. Qin Chudong’s gaze was serious, his brow furrowed, completely immersed in the film.
When the main characters in the movie were reunited after being separated for more than ten years, the man cried so hard he couldn’t catch his breath, hugging his wife’s shoulder and constantly professing his loyalty.
He said that no matter what happened, he would never be separated from A-Yue. He would love his wife forever.
Wen Yue was speechless.
The acting was terrible, the plot was old-fashioned and melodramatic, and the filming technique was so chaotic it was as if the director had taken drugs.
It was obvious that the budget had run out in the second half, and even the screenwriter was slacking off. What on earth had made Qin Chudong satisfied?
He looked down at the rating chart. “Rating not displayed due to insufficient number of raters (less than 100).”
Wen Yue was speechless.
So where on earth had this guy found it?
The Omega facepalmed and smiled wryly, just glad that the Qin family hadn’t ruined the film industry yet.

As Qin Chudong’s project got on track, Wen Yue’s plan was also nearing its end.
It went very smoothly. That person was old, and there were many things he could no longer do. With the connection to the Qin family, he could easily find a breakthrough.
But the Wen family was, after all, a century-old family with deep roots. It would not be an easy task to topple them.
Moreover, there were other families watching in the dark, just waiting for the great mansion to fall so they could divide it up.
Fortunately, the one thing Wen Yue did not lack was patience.
It wasn’t until Qin Chudong accidentally mentioned Yu Xuanying, the Alpha who had been driven out of the country by his father and had to pretend to be a playboy to survive, that Wen Yue knew his chance had come.
Although their goals were different, the result was a win-win. Both parties had their own thoughts, and after a bit of back and forth, they quickly confirmed their cooperation.
After dealing with the last of the trivial matters, Wen Yue felt uneasy. He found that he was far from as relaxed as he had imagined.
The banquet was a flurry of wine glasses and chopsticks. The fake masks on everyone’s faces made him feel sick.
Using the excuse of not feeling well, he escaped the overly enthusiastic crowd and, holding a wine glass, walked alone into the depths of a secluded path.
Wen Yue couldn’t be sure if Qin Chudong would still accept him if he found out that his partner was not the gentle and kind, family-oriented Omega he had imagined.
Their marriage had been built on his own agenda from the very beginning.
Unable to relieve the bitterness in his heart, the young man drank the strong liquor and walked deeper into the garden.
He hadn’t expected to meet Bai Yan here.
In the hazy moonlight, the young man’s figure was slender, his pale face showing a look of worry, as if he had overlapped with little Yu.
His younger brother had also told him like this, that he couldn’t drink anymore.
Perhaps it was his conscience that had made him want to warn this naive and innocent little lamb.
Wen Yue deliberately opened his collar, revealing the red marks on his neck, and with a threatening tone, tried to scare him away.
“This is the uncontrollable possessiveness of an Alpha.”
Obsession, intoxication, who knows how much love, an instinctive possessiveness.
In the end, he was at a loss, not knowing whether he was telling Bai Yan or warning himself.
“For us Omegas, the most important thing is to guard our own hearts.”

After dealing with his suddenly appearing cousin, Wen Yue left the rose wall, but at the corner, he ran into an unexpected person.
His husband’s eyes were wide with astonishment, his face pale, his gaze fixed on the rose wall behind the corner. Who knew how much of the conversation he had just heard?
Not expecting Qin Chudong’s appearance, Wen Yue’s mind went blank, but then he suddenly felt a sense of relief.
So be it, the Omega thought, a little self-deprecatingly. It’s best if Qin Chudong sees him for who he is now.
Knowing that he is two-faced, that he is vengeful.
Knowing that he is calculating, unscrupulous, and even willing to use their marriage.
Wen Yue forcefully ignored the dull, heart-gouging pain. For the first time, when the man looked over, he didn’t offer a smile and returned his gaze with a blank expression.
But the Alpha said nothing and suddenly twitched the corner of his mouth.
The man forced a smile, held out his hand to him, and said calmly, “Honey, the anniversary cake is ready. Do you want to go see it with me?”
Wen Yue’s heart trembled slightly. He nonchalantly returned the handshake.
He offered his usual gentle expression and replied softly, “Okay.”

That night, the two of them, with a tacit understanding, slept with their backs to each other for the first time since they were married.
Qin Chudong’s brow was furrowed, and he anxiously chewed on his fingers.
Even the news of taking over the company without any preparation had not been as shocking as the secret his wife had revealed.
He didn’t care that his wife had hidden these things from him.
He was just annoyed and regretful that even though he and A-Yue shared a bed, he hadn’t discovered these things sooner.
No wonder A-Yue had casually asked him before if he was in a hurry to have children.
He had thought it was a bit of fun between a couple and had even happily said that three or five children would be fine.
But if his wife clearly didn’t like them, why didn’t he tell him? If his wife had just told him, he would have definitely changed.
This made Qin Chudong even sadder. Because his A-Yue, perhaps, did not trust him as much as he had shown.
It was all his fault. He hadn’t made A-Yue feel enough love.
What on earth should he do?
The man’s heart was filled with bitterness, his mood sinking to the bottom.
But he still had to make breakfast for his wife tomorrow, so he could only close his eyes and force himself to sleep.
He didn’t notice that the person beside him also hadn’t closed his eyes all night.

The two of them tacitly never mentioned the banquet again. During the day, the Omega was still his beautiful and gentle wife.
But Qin Chudong knew that something had changed.
Unable to accept the possible consequences, he dared not be the first to break the surface calm.
Qin Chudong had thought more than once about having his assistant investigate Wen Yue’s past.
But he knew that his partner was also an independent individual. To investigate without permission would only disappoint him more.
He had patience and was willing to wait for the day his lover would tell him himself.
Later, Qin Chudong took over the company. No matter how busy he was, he would help his wife set up her art gallery, accompany her for walks, and do everything he could to make her happy.
When his wife wanted to promote the cooperation between the Wen family and the Qin family, he also fully supported it.
The two of them were, in the eyes of outsiders, the most perfect and harmonious couple in a business marriage.
They still maintained their frequency of five nights a week, except during special periods.
But each time, Qin Chudong was very careful, deliberately avoiding leaving any obvious marks on the Omega’s exposed skin.

He learned from the news that the Wen family had changed hands, that his father-in-law had had a mental breakdown and had been sent to a nursing home, and that Wen Yue, with an overwhelming advantage, had smoothly taken over the company.
Qin Chudong returned home in disbelief, the pitiful accusation he had prepared not yet spoken.
The beautiful Omega young man in a formal suit frowned slightly and said in a warm voice, “I’m sorry. It was wrong of me to use your marriage.”
“If you mind, we can get a divorce tomorrow. I can compensate you for the assets, and the cooperation between the Wen family and the Qin family…”

“No—I don’t want a divorce! What did I do wrong, honey? Tell me, I’ll definitely change!”
Qin Chudong looked as if the sky were falling. His eyes were red as he quickly interrupted his wife.
He had only come to ask why his wife had cooperated with Yu Xuanying. How had it come to a divorce?!
His wife was his sky, his wife was his earth. Whatever his wife did was right.
He had seen a lot of the filth behind the great families. Whatever his wife did, she must have her reasons.
But he could clearly do better than others. Why wouldn’t his wife give him a chance?
The man’s eyes quickly filled with moisture. He looked down pitifully, which made Wen Yue stare blankly for a few seconds.
The Alpha didn’t blame him at all for seizing power and still trusted him unconditionally.
These past few years, he had not been unaware of Qin Chudong’s love for him.
But he was still uneasy and had deliberately arranged this scene today.
Wen Yue wanted Qin Chudong to tell him that no matter what he did, he would love him and would never be able to leave him.
Just like him.
The sadness in his lover’s eyes was so obvious that the Omega’s nose stung, and he almost softened.
But, why hadn’t he thought of it yet…

Qin Chudong cried, “What did I do wrong, honey? Tell me, I’ll definitely change.”
A corner of his mouth twitched, and a mischievous glint flashed in Wen Yue’s eyes.
He crossed his arms, raised a slender eyebrow, and said with deliberate malice, “Have I ever told you that you’re terrible in bed?”
Hmph, what if it’s long? He always rushes in headfirst, without any technique. Before he’s had enough, he’s already moved on to another place.
The Alpha was struck by lightning, and the sky completely fell.
Terrible, terrible, terrible…
His wife’s words were like a bolt from the blue, reverberating in his mind with bold, flashing special effects, in 360 degrees.
Wen Yue raised his chin and smiled meaningfully. “You should think about it.”
The gloom in his heart was swept away. The Omega used the excuse of having company business and not coming back to stay recently and left with light steps.
Only Qin Chudong was left with a bitter face, falling dazedly onto the carpet, deeply reflecting on his mistake.

His wife was not at home. Qin Chudong was listless and alone.
Every night when he missed his wife, he didn’t even dare to call. He could only hug his clothes, bundling them up in his arms to barely fall asleep.
The Omega was a neat freak. His clothes were washed every day, and the sheets and quilt cover were changed once a week.
The little bit of freesia pheromones in the room soon dissipated.
The unsatisfied Alpha’s face was miserable. When he went back to his parents’ villa on the weekend, the Alpha was also listless.
The terrifying experience of being locked in the closet as a child had once become his trauma, and he hadn’t even been willing to live in a villa.
It wasn’t until he was an adult that he slowly got better, and eating and staying for short periods were no longer a problem.
Facing his parents’ gentle inquiry as to why Wen Yue hadn’t come with him today, Qin Chudong forced a twitch of his lips and said that Wen Yue was busy with company business and had a last-minute business trip a few days ago, so he couldn’t get away.
In fact, Mr. and Mrs. Qin had already received news from their daughter-in-law. Seeing their son’s dejected expression, the two of them exchanged a look and knew that the young couple had had a fight.
It was not their place to interfere in their children’s affairs.
It was probably their foolish son who had done something wrong again and hadn’t realized it yet.
Chen Peishan smiled and changed the subject, turning to the dog she had adopted a few days ago.
The gray Schnauzer sat obediently beside her. Hearing its name, it wagged its tail happily.
Qin Chudong looked at the dog that was occupying his mother’s seat, its head held high with pride. His mouth twitched, and he couldn’t even smile.
But this Schnauzer liked him very much. With a ball in its mouth, its little paws pattered as it struggled to run up to the small living room on the second floor and nudge the Alpha’s calf.
Qin Chudong was helpless and had to play with the dog for a while.
Watching the Schnauzer wag its tail, chasing the ball and jumping around, the man’s thoughts drifted far away without him realizing it.
I wonder what my wife is doing now, if he’s been eating breakfast on time recently.
Little Snowball is so cute. Would my wife like it?
If they had a furry child, would my wife not divorce me?
Honey, I miss you so much, wuwu…
The dog found that its new master was half-crouched on the ground, motionless, and tilted its head, not understanding what was happening.
It pawed at the man’s arm with its front paws, struggled to stand up, and gently nudged the man’s shoulder with its head.
Qin Chudong’s hand slipped, and the ball in his palm suddenly fell to the ground, rolling out of the small living room door and down the corridor.
The Schnauzer took off after the ball. Qin Chudong came back to his senses from his daze and quickly followed.
The marble floor was smooth, and the small ball rolled directly to the walk-in closet at the end. The door recognized the Schnauzer’s identity and automatically opened inward.
The small ball rolled in and slowly stopped in front of the wardrobe door.
The dog followed closely behind and slipped into the walk-in closet. It reached out its front paws, but before it could paw open the wardrobe door, it was scooped up by the person behind it.
The Alpha scooped up the dog, petted its head, and smiled helplessly. “Still want to get into the wardrobe? I’ll wait for you.”
The man froze the moment he finished speaking.
The dusty memories shook off the dust of time and reappeared in his mind.
The light and shadow were mottled. The solid wood wardrobe gradually faded, and the wardrobe door slowly opened before his eyes.
The dark space was like a giant beast with its mouth wide open.
It could easily swallow a—no, not just one, but two children.
Qin Chudong remembered everything.

That day, his parents were hosting a banquet at the manor, and there were many guests.
The kidnapper had disguised himself as a servant in advance and had lured him away from the children’s room. But unexpectedly, the alarm had started to ring like crazy the moment he had left the villa.
The bodyguards had quickly been dispatched. The kidnapper had had to turn back to the villa and hide him in the depths of the second-floor walk-in closet.
The kidnapper had originally also lured another child, covering the child’s mouth and nose to knock him out and take him away.
But little Qin Chudong, with courage from who knows where, had, in a moment of desperation, pounced and bitten the man’s arm, refusing to let go.
He had viciously thrown the child into the depths of the closet, his fierce gaze as if he were about to eat him.
But his arm hurt and he couldn’t exert any strength, and the sound of the alarm was getting louder and louder.
The man had had to stuff both children into the closet. He didn’t even have time to gag them before he closed the wardrobe door and fled.
The wardrobe was left with only a thin crack. It was pitch black, with only a faint glimmer of light coming from outside.
Both their hands and feet were tied, and the neatly hung clothes behind them were all messed up.
Qin Chudong had a big bump on his head, and his bottom, which had been banged just now, was also starting to hurt.
The sudden courage from before was all gone. The little young master Qin, who had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, had never suffered like this.
The child’s big eyes were filled with terror. He twisted his body, banging against the wardrobe door, struggling and crying.
“Mommy, Daddy, where are you! There’s a bad guy! Help me…”
“Wuwuwu, am I going to die…”
“Wuwuwu, why aren’t you here yet? It hurts so much.”
Qin Chudong’s wrists and ankles were tied with rope. With his struggles, they grew tighter and tighter, rubbing red marks into his skin.
The new marks continued to rub against the rope, and he cried from the pain.
The manor was very large. The kidnapper had specially chosen the time. The guests today were special, and the surveillance had all been turned off in advance.
Without surveillance, even with all the servants and bodyguards dispatched, it would take a lot of time to find them here.
In addition, the villa was very soundproof, and this wardrobe was located in the innermost part of the walk-in closet. If you didn’t step inside, you would never find that there were people hidden in the wardrobe.
He didn’t know if it was because it hurt too much, or because he was tired of crying, but Qin Chudong had little strength left to struggle.
He sat in the closet in despair, his loud crying turning into soft sobs, his shoulders shaking.
Qin Chudong’s tears and snot were a mess. The child beside him, however, was quiet with his head down.
After a moment of hesitation, the child said softly, “Don’t cry. They’ll find us when they realize you’re missing.”
“And… thank you for saving me just now.”
Compared to the sturdy Qin Chudong, the child’s body was noticeably thinner. The large clothes he was wearing were like he was wearing an adult’s clothes.
His mother was a servant at the manor. She had a lot of cleaning to do today, so she had asked him to come and help.
Who knew he would run into the little young master of the villa being kidnapped? He was just about to turn and call for help when the kidnapper had caught him.
If the little young master hadn’t just bitten the kidnapper’s arm, he didn’t know where he would have been taken.

“It’s okay! I’m a trainee little elf. I have magic to protect me!” Qin Chudong raised his chin proudly and chuckled.
Wen Yue didn’t understand his words and closed his mouth without saying anything more.
With this interruption, the fear in Qin Chudong’s heart dissipated a lot.
Realizing there was someone else with him, it wasn’t so hard to bear now. He blinked his eyes and secretly peeked at the other person.
In the faint light, the child’s slender eyes and exquisite features were fully revealed.
Qin Chudong couldn’t help but think that he was very beautiful, even more beautiful than Princess Lin Lin in the cartoons.
After his eyes had adjusted to the surrounding darkness, he struggled to move his bottom closer to the child and asked curiously, “What’s your name? I’ve never seen you before.”
“Are you also here for the banquet?”
Wen Yue’s hand tightened. He lowered his head and replied in a small voice, “My name is Wen Yue. I’m not here for the banquet. My mother works here…”
His father didn’t like him and his younger brother and had abandoned them. He was now living with his mother and younger brother.
The manor where his mother worked was very large and beautiful, and the little young master inside was even more beautiful, dressed up like a little prince.
Unlike him, whose clothes were dirty and dusty, like an ugly duckling.
The children at school all laughed at him, saying he was a child no one loved and wouldn’t play with him.
For reasons he himself didn’t understand, Wen Yue didn’t want to be disliked by the little young master.
Before Qin Chudong could speak, he suddenly smelled a pleasant scent and asked in surprise, “You smell so good. What is it?”
Eh? Wen Yue blinked, sniffed his neck, and after a moment of recollection, said, “It’s the laundry detergent from my house. Mmm, it should be freesia scent.”
“Freesia? Is that a flower’s name?” A big smile appeared on Qin Chudong’s face. “It smells so good.”
“Mm.”
Only then did Qin Chudong remember the proper way to make a new friend. He said generously, “Wen Yue, hello, I’m Qin Chudong. We know each other now. We’re already friends.”
“Do you want to play with me?”
A flower seemed to bloom in Wen Yue’s heart. Even though he was very happy, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but turn up, he only nodded reservedly. “Mm.”
He blushed and added shyly, “Then when we get out, you have to remember to come find me.”
Please don’t leave him here. He’s been alone for too, too long.
Qin Chudong raised his face proudly. If his hands hadn’t been tied, he would have really wanted to beat his chest like the adults on TV.
“Of course! My memory is the best in the class. Every time the teacher assigns a recitation task, I’m always the first one to finish!”
He eagerly offered to show his new friend. “I’ll recite for you, okay?”
Wen Yue: “…Okay.”
“Ahem, ahem. A startled goose in the scattered bow, a sword that transforms into a dragon in flight. In the vastness of heaven and earth, the undying will meet again.”①

Under Qin Chudong’s almost hypnotic recitation, the two children huddled together and, without realizing it, fell asleep.
By the time the Qin parents found them, it was already dark. They sent the two children to the hospital overnight.
Qin Chudong had a high fever and only gradually regained consciousness two days later, throwing himself into his mother’s arms and crying his heart out.
A shadow was cast over the events of that day. He only remembered being kidnapped and locked in a narrow, dark little room. He couldn’t remember anything else.
For a long time, the sight of a closed, dark space would terrify Qin Chudong, and he wouldn’t even dare to live in a villa.
Mr. and Mrs. Qin had to put the manor aside and hurriedly move to a large apartment in the city.
After that, Qin Chudong never again remembered that in the depths of the dark, deep wardrobe, there was another child.
Who had been waiting for him, waiting for him to find him as he had promised.

And Wen Yue had been picked up by his father, who had rushed over upon hearing the news. The man had keenly sensed an opportunity, had given Wen Yue’s biological mother a sum of money, and had had this illegitimate son adopted under his wife’s name.
Even though he had the potential to present as an Alpha, the man didn’t care. He used Wen Yue’s biological younger brother as a threat and strictly raised him according to the standards of an Omega.

By the time he had completely come back to his senses, Qin Chudong was already in tears, his fingertips trembling.
These past few years of marriage, he had confidently thought he knew his wife well enough.
But he hadn’t expected that he had been wrong from the very beginning.
He had broken his promise for so many years. Would his wife still forgive him?
The Schnauzer in his arms was clueless. It barked twice in confusion and, not getting a response, ran off on its own.

Returning from the airport, he opened the door with his fingerprint. The house was still dark, not even the entrance light was on.
Wen Yue took off his shoes, touched his nose, and felt a little guilty.
The company’s management had changed, and he had been overwhelmed recently, going on business trips every few days and eating irregularly.
Worried that his clingy man at home would be jealous and delay his progress, Wen Yue had deliberately said those words and had taken the opportunity to move out.
He hadn’t expected him to really get angry and not even call once.
I wonder if this guy has been taking care of himself at home.
If he’s still angry…
Ahem, ahem. The beautiful young man’s eyes flickered, and a look of unease crossed his face. At worst, I’ll just go to Zhiyi’s company to see.
The Omega convinced himself and calmly turned on the living room light.
With a click, the bright overhead light poured down from the ceiling.
Qin Chudong, sitting by the window, looked over pitifully, his eyes red, his face stubbled, and a wrinkled shirt clinging to his body.
Wen Yue was startled and quickly walked toward the man.
The sea salt pheromones were listless, curled up in a small ball around the Alpha, which was why Wen Yue hadn’t noticed the man’s presence.
The young man released his faint pheromones to soothe him, patted his partner’s haggard face, and asked softly, “Why aren’t the lights on at home?”
We won’t get a divorce. See, I didn’t even take my luggage with me, just so you wouldn’t overthink it.
I didn’t cooperate with you because I was worried it would affect our family’s business.
I was busy with work before, and had a lot of business trips, which is why I didn’t come home. Now that the company’s situation has stabilized, I won’t suddenly leave again.
Ugh, as for your technique… at worst, we’ll just practice more.
Anyway, the hardware is there. There will always be progress.
He opened his mouth, but before he could say the comforting words, the man’s muffled, tearful voice interrupted him.

“Honey, I’m sorry! I didn’t go find you back then. You must have been so miserable at the hospital alone.”
“I’m not a qualified husband! I didn’t even remember when I saw you again.”
“If you want to punish me, you can do anything.”
Qin Chudong’s large hand covered his lover’s, rubbing it cherishly. The hot tears could no longer be held back and fell one after another.
“But…” the man cried like a child, begging without any image, “can you give me a chance to make it up to you? Please don’t get a divorce, okay?”
He looked at the Omega with wide eyes, desperately waiting for his lover’s judgment.
Wen Yue was stunned for two seconds, then suddenly raised his lover’s arms, slipped into his embrace, and found a comfortable position to snuggle in, muttering softly, “You stink. You didn’t even take a shower when I came back.”
Then the young man burst out laughing. His eyes were moist, but the smile in them couldn’t be hidden.
The freesia pheromones actively wrapped around the listless sea salt.
He asked, “You finally remembered?”

“Mm,” Qin Chudong’s arms around the young man tightened unconsciously, his wrist trembling slightly.
Wen Yue: “Mommy showed me a picture of Little Snowball. It’s very cute. Why don’t we go to the rescue center to see it someday?”
Qin Chudong: “Okay.”
Wen Yue: “I don’t like collecting strange works of art. Buy less of those wasteful things in the future. There’s almost no room for them at home.”
“Okay.”
“And… ahem, ahem, the problem I mentioned before, have you been practicing? Should I check now?”
“!! Okay!”
“Hiss—gently!”

In the vastness of heaven and earth, fates intertwine, and lovers will be reunited.

The Pitiful Omega’s Contract Marriage with a Wealthy Tycoon

小可怜O和豪门大佬协议结婚了
Status: Completed Author: Native Language: Chinese
On the day after his nineteenth birthday, Bai Yan accepted an invitation to meet a prospective partner. As an Omega with albinism and frail health who had grown up in an orphanage, Bai Yan had no illusions about his situation. Still, he harbored a sliver of hope and went to the meeting on time. What awaited him, however, was a marriage contract. The S-class Alpha before him was severe and handsome, his aura noble and aloof. The look he gave Bai Yan was flat and distant. The man politely informed Bai Yan of the contract's terms, including the eight-figure compensation he would receive upon its conclusion. Sensing the young man’s shock, the Alpha paused, his tone softening in a rare show of consideration. "You can take your time to think it over. There's no rush." Pheromones of a high compatibility enveloped Bai Yan, making him feel as if he were basking in the winter sun. Yet, the hopeful flutter in his heart slowly turned to ice. Thinking of the orphanage on the verge of bankruptcy, the young man concealed his disappointment. His snow-white eyelashes trembled. After a long moment, the Omega pressed his lips together and said softly, "Alright."
Pei Tingyu was naturally aloof. As the highest-ranking Alpha, he was still unattached at twenty-eight. Faced with warnings of his pheromones spiraling out of control, his only solution was to seek stability through a marriage contract. Upon entering the meeting place, the Alpha’s eyes immediately fell upon a beautiful, slender young man in the corner of the coffee shop. The Omega was looking down, staring blankly at the glass in his hands. His pale gold hair was haloed by the light, and his porcelain skin was so fair it seemed almost translucent, as if he might simply disappear at any moment. Even though he had already reviewed the young man's file, the Alpha's brow smoothed out imperceptibly. He sighed to himself. The Omega is too fragile. Best to bring him home and look after him properly.
The Alpha was highly efficient. Before long, Bai Yan had registered their marriage and moved into the Pei family manor. Bai Yan quickly adapted to his new life, striving to play the part of a quiet, obedient, and sensible young spouse. This involved feigning intimacy in public, handling inspections from the official Matching System, and, of course, soothing his legal partner during his ruts… All without ever noticing that Mr. Pei's gaze, as it lingered on him, was growing deeper and more intense.
Until one day— The Alpha, deep in his rut, had reddened eyes and ragged breath. The silver bite inhibitor over his mouth gleamed. The man knelt before Bai Yan, his eyes as dark as ink, and coaxed him in a low voice: "Yanyan, my precious…" "Use your fingerprint… to take off the inhibitor…" The familiar pheromones had lost their usual gentleness, turning scorching hot. Bai Yan held his breath, his heart racing erratically. It felt as if all the blood in his body was rushing to the gland on his neck. As if mesmerized, the young man leaned down uncontrollably, his trembling fingertips slowly approaching the back of the Alpha's neck. Click. The cool metal of the bite inhibitor fell onto the soft carpet, revealing the man's sharp, chiseled features in their entirety. The Alpha let out a low chuckle, his arm wrapping around the Omega's slender waist. He was clearly at his limit, the veins on his arm standing out in sharp relief, yet he remained gentlemanly and restrained, carefully controlling his strength. A hoarse voice whispered by his ear in a deceptively polite inquiry: "I'm going to do something improper to my precious, alright?"
It was only after that day that Bai Yan truly understood just how terrifying an S-class Alpha, celibate for years, could be once unleashed.
