Chapter 2

The castle was a typical Gothic structure.

Towering spires, walls inlaid with exquisite murals, shrouded in dark light, mysteriously magnificent and forbidding to any prying eyes.

Shen Wen liked this kind of gloomy and oppressive architecture.

Unfortunately, the dim and damp interior of the castle was not suitable for raising a cub.

Shen Wen had once considered demolishing the castle and building a pastoral-style house, giving Zaizai a warm room with sunlight spilling across the floor.

Shen Wen meticulously raised Zaizai for two to three years, regularly bringing Xing Nuo down for a soak.

The blood pool originally bubbled with thick, crimson liquid, but Shen Wen, fearing it would frighten Xing Nuo, had forced it into a milky white color.

Misty and swirling, it resembled a hot spring in a celestial pool.

Xing Nuo was already quite proficient at using the pool. Wearing sunflower-print shorts, he walked over with his little legs.

Xing Nuo slept soundly for three whole days.

Just then, Xing Nuo, having woken up from his nap, stumbled out of the bedroom, looking for his dad.

His eyes were red-rimmed, and seeing his dad in the living room, he felt incredibly aggrieved, reaching out his short arms:

“Daddy, hug.”

Pouting, Xing Nuo woke up to find himself in a strange place, without his dad by his side, and was so scared that tears welled up in his eyes.

The atmosphere within the complex was harmonious and warm, with friendly relations between neighbors.

The people living here were generally well-off, with a higher level of civility. There were shops and a hospital across the street, and the location was excellent.
