Chapter 43
The children in Xing Nuo’s kindergarten class were crying uncontrollably.
Several kids were wailing loudly, tears streaming down their faces.
Even the usually brave chubby boy next to Xing Nuo was sobbing, his shoulders shaking.
His loud cries startled Xing Nuo, who stopped crying himself.
He took out a tissue his dad had given him and wiped his watery eyes.
He raised his hand.
The teacher, who was enjoying the children’s distress, grinned at Xing Nuo.
“Yes, young man, what do you want?”
Xing Nuo sniffled, wanting to stand up, but found himself glued to his chair by some unseen force.
He gave up and looked at the creepy teacher.
“I want…Teacher Xiao Song.”
Teacher Xiao Song was their usual teacher, a cheerful and energetic young woman who liked wearing her hair in two buns.
Whenever a child cried, she would come over and comfort them, then take out a stack of little red flower stickers and tell them to be good.
Only Teacher Xiao Song could handle this chaotic classroom and the crying children.
Xing Nuo and the other children liked Teacher Xiao Song. They didn’t like this sinister, grinning male teacher.
The teacher chuckled coldly.
“That won’t do. I finally managed to snatch this teacher position. I can’t just give it up.”
He tapped his chin, circling Xing Nuo’s desk, his voice filled with mock regret.
“Oh dear, why aren’t you crying? If you don’t break the rules, you can’t become my lunch!”
Xing Nuo’s eyes were red, but he didn’t cry.
“Zaizai no cry. You bad teacher!”
He pouted, his small voice trembling slightly despite his efforts to stay calm, his thoughts clear.
“Teacher Xiao Song come back soon. You can’t be our teacher!”
The male teacher wasn’t angry at all. He just chuckled coldly.
“Don’t worry, you won’t be seeing Teacher Xiao Song again.”
He suddenly leaned close to Xing Nuo, sniffing him.
“Too bad this dungeon is special. I can’t sense your life force, little ones.”
He licked his lips, a sinister smile on his face.
“But it’s alright. You look so tender and plump. You must be delicious!”
Xing Nuo recoiled from the teacher’s sudden approach, his eyes wide with fear.
“You bad teacher!”
He yelled, clenching his fists.
The male teacher, unfazed by the little one’s defiance, walked back to the front of the class.
“Alright, stop crying!”
He tapped his long ruler against the desk impatiently.
“If you keep crying, I’ll eat you now!”
This only made the children cry louder, the classroom filled with wails.
The male teacher pulled up a chair, sat down with a sneer, and was about to speak when a system notification sounded.
[Ding! Class is in session. Please follow classroom rules and study diligently!]
[Teachers, please return to your posts and announce the lesson content!]
The announcement startled the high school students, who were taking a test, and they looked up.
The class monitor, his forehead covered in sweat, wanted to find the principal or the physics teacher, but found himself unable to move.
The student next to him, the PE representative, was even more terrified, his voice trembling.
“What’s happening? Why can’t I stand up?!”
“This teacher isn’t from our school! What’s going on?!”
“Is this a prank? Some kind of reality show?”
“Holy crap, this isn’t funny! Who’s messing with us?!”
The high school students were handling the situation better than the kindergarteners. At least no one was crying. They looked around for hidden cameras.
But when they realized this was real, that they were trapped in some kind of anomaly, panic set in.
“What do we do?! Where are the teachers? Why aren’t they coming to save us?!”
The students were terrified, their voices filled with fear.
The teacher grinned, his smile widening, his mouth stretching almost to his ears.
He chuckled coldly, holding a triangular ruler, and announced the lesson content.
“Class is in session. Let’s begin!”
“See the physics test papers in front of you? You have ten minutes! When the time is up, the student with the lowest score will be punished!”
His eyes glowed red, a hissing sound escaping his lips, his expression inhuman as he stared at the students.
“Don’t just sit there, start working!” he reminded them, his laughter sinister.
The classroom fell silent.
Only the sounds of chattering teeth and rapid breathing could be heard.
After a long moment, the sound of rustling paper broke the silence.
The other students, startled, snapped out of their daze.
Right, the test!
This wasn’t just a physics test anymore. It was a test of survival!
Even the most rebellious teenagers, facing this situation, realizing their helplessness, could only try to follow the rules and survive.
Shen Baizhou, clutching his hair, stared at the test paper, his frustration mounting.
He started working on the first problem, completely focused, oblivious to the chaos around him.
He had gotten a 7 in chemistry. He couldn’t possibly score in the single digits in physics too!
He took a deep breath and continued working on the problems.
The creepy teacher’s cold voice sounded from the front of the class:
“Five minutes have passed. Are you done yet?”
The students’ hands trembled as they gripped their pens, trying to stay calm, but their fear was overwhelming.
They looked up, meeting the teacher’s intense gaze, and their composure crumbled.
A girl in the front row started sobbing softly, her trembling cries amplifying the fear in the classroom.
Even the PE representative, usually the class bully, was terrified.
“What do you want from us?!” he yelled.
The teacher chuckled coldly, ignoring the question.
“Keep working. You have three minutes left!”
Time ticked by. When the minute hand reached twelve, the teacher’s smile widened.
“Time to see how well you’ve learned!”
He walked to the back of the classroom and started grading the test papers on the spot.
The PE representative, sitting in the last row, watched as the teacher marked a bright red “15” on his paper and wanted to faint.
“Not a good score, young man.”
The teacher chuckled, his eyes narrowed, and moved on to the next student.
The students, frozen in fear, followed the rules, waiting for the teacher to finish grading.
Their hearts pounded in their chests, cold sweat dripping down their faces.
The teacher commented on each paper with a sinister smile.
Time passed slowly, and he was almost done grading.
He reached the last student and saw that he was still working on the problems. His face contorted in anger.
“What’s your name? You’re breaking the rules! The test is over!”
Shen Baizhou, interrupted while working on the first problem, looked up and stabbed his pen into the desk.
“Can you shut up?”
Shen Baizhou, despite his usual rebellious nature, respected teachers. He suppressed his frustration at not being able to solve the problem and pulled the pen out of the desk.
He looked up at the clock on the wall and gestured towards it with his chin.
“Don’t you see there’s still half an hour left?”
A 90-minute physics test couldn’t just lose 30 minutes!
Shen Baizhou, the poor student, wouldn’t stand for it!
The monster teacher, unable to sense Shen Baizhou’s life force, his eyes turning colder, felt his anger rising.
These monsters, having followed the dungeon through the time rift, their true forms unable to enter, could only use virtual projections.
The biggest weakness of these projections was their inability to interact with the real human world.
The monster teacher’s form flickered, its body made of black pixels, and he wanted to crush this defiant human!
“I said the test is ten minutes, so it’s ten minutes!”
He grinned. “You think you can change the rules?!”
Just then, a system notification sounded:
[The core dungeon monster has been changed. Exam rules updated. Exam time for classroom A01 extended by 30 minutes!]
lol when you thought you were the boss in the room
