Mu Chenxing slid right in: “Knew my beautiful, kind-hearted Omega bros were the best~~ Mind helping invite some folks?”
…
Time flew.
Omega Growth Association’s first gathering prep kicked off.
Tao Xirui took coordination, teaming with Association Omegas to book the Cafeteria Small Banquet Hall, menu, simple event graphics, and materials.
For final setup, all members showed, blowing up balloons from an Alpha.
The Alpha looked familiar, but everyone was busy—no one minded him.
Mu Chenxing saw Tong Xiao and crew had it handled, grabbed the Alpha: “Don’t just stand—go work outside.”
The Alpha—errand boy Xu Zhicheng—fumed. “More work? You said—invited me to eat, and it’s with your Association? I just ran ten klicks for these balloons! And more work?!”
Mu Chenxing rolled his eyes. “Alpha like you being petty! Hosts of Alphas coming—greet ’em!”
“Why me?”
Mu Chenxing turned. “Xia Xia—”
“I’m on it.” Xu Zhicheng griped. “Isn’t this Omega Association? Why Alphas?”
Mu Chenxing smiled. “Same as you—eating.”
Xu Zhicheng’s eyes widened. “You threaten them too?”
Mu Chenxing choked. “Threaten my ass, ol’—” Spotting Alphas entering the ground-floor doors through the glass, he shoved him. “They’re here—list sent. Bring ’em when full. No loose lips—though they probably won’t.”
Xu Zhicheng: “Knew you invited other Alphas, I’d have brought my roommates.”
“They don’t qualify.”
Xu Zhicheng: “Qualify how?”
“Donation status.”
The forcibly donated Xu Zhicheng: “…”
Mu Chenxing booted him out as greeter and turned to help decorate.
Ten-odd minutes later, Xu Zhicheng led in a bunch of Alphas.
“Mu Chenxing, all here.”
The Alphas behind him were tense, wary, on guard.
Mu Chenxing was standing on a chair, sticking up balloons. Hearing them, he turned around and waved at the group. “You’re all here.”
He glanced around, cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone, and shouted, “Xia Xia, send a few people over to lead these Alphas away—a few per group!”
All the Omegas turned back in unison.
The Alphas grew even more tense.
From the crowd, Xia Weizhen called out, “A-Yuan, Xiao Fei, Xiao Bao—you three pick five each from one group. The rest come to me.”
“…But these guys are…”
“…Is it really okay?”
“…This doesn’t feel right…”
The Omegas hesitated, not daring to step forward.
Mu Chenxing was speechless. Still perched on the chair, he barked orders loudly, “Zhong Shenglin, you take four to A-Yuan. Huang Xinhan, you lead four to Xiao Fei…”
He nimbly sorted everyone out.
“You all know each other now, right? If not, there’s a payment code on the table—donate another round or two.”
The Alphas: “…”
In under a minute, the twenty-odd people were sorted into groups.
“Ahem.” Zhong Shenglin stood a few steps from Chu Yuan, awkward as hell. “Uh, I-I…”
Chu Yuan was awkward too, stammering, “Well—”
He caught sight of Mu Chenxing in the distance, hands on hips, glaring at him from atop the chair. Straightening up, Chu Yuan shoved a balloon at him. “H-Here, take it.” He pointed at the wall. “H-Hang them all in the corners!”
“…Oh.” Zhong Shenglin obediently took the balloon, hooked a chair over with his foot, hopped up, and got to work.
Chu Yuan panicked. “Don’t stick them like that—it’s too ugly. Cluster two or three together.”
“Like this?”
“Add one more!”
“Oh.”
Seeing this, the other Omegas cautiously approached their assigned Alphas, handing over items.
“Um, could you blow up some balloons?”
“Uh, mind hanging these streamers?”
“Can you open this for me?”
…
With these tall, strong Alphas pitching in, Mu Chenxing didn’t even need to climb on chairs anymore.
Hands behind his back, he strutted around pointing and directing like a nitpicking foreman, bossing the working Alphas into a frenzy. He kept reminding the Omegas to be fiercer—don’t go easy on these Alphas.
What was supposed to take an hour and a half wrapped up early. When Zhang Yunli led Fu Mingyuan and the others in, everyone was tidying up the scraps and trash.
Zhang Yunli, as advisor, paused at the door, stunned. “Damn, it’s this pink?”
Mu Chenxing squeezed out from the crowd. “Teacher, Principal Fu, Principal Li—” Spotting a familiar figure, he switched to a blanket term. “Hello, teachers.”
Fu Mingyuan and the rest nodded.
Pei Yao, standing low-key beside Fu Mingyuan, scanned the horde of Alphas in the back and narrowed his eyes.
Zhang Yunli gestured around. “What’s all this?”
Mu Chenxing grinned. “Setting up the venue.”
Sure, the pink was eye-searing, but it was voted on by the Association members. He didn’t like it, but he respected the choice.
“This is our Association’s official theme color from now on. Today’s setup and design were handled by our star designer, Chu Yuan. Pretty good, right?”
Zhang Yunli: “It looks good, but…”
Fu Mingyuan cut in directly. “Wasn’t this supposed to be dinner? Why the huge production?”
Mu Chenxing: “This is the Omega Growth Association’s first event—a milestone! Of course it has to be lively and grand.”
Fu Mingyuan: “…A little club like this is a milestone?”
Mu Chenxing: “Heh heh, dreams have to be big. What if we actually make it?” He gestured inside. “Teachers, please take your seats.”
Fu Mingyuan eyed the indicated spots and walked over.
The other teachers followed.
Pei Yao flicked a glance at Mu Chenxing and curved his lips.
Mu Chenxing pretended not to notice, signaling Tong Xiao and the others to tag along, then waved at everyone else in a hushed tone. “Sit, everyone—hurry and sit properly.”
They scrambled into seats fast—even the Alphas split into two tables at the farthest seats by the door.
Mu Chenxing dashed to the front, climbed onto a makeshift “stage” of three stacked chairs, and clapped to quiet the room—which was already dead silent.
“Ahem, leaders, teachers, fellow students—good evening.”
“Today marks the 24th day since the Omega Growth Association was founded. On this utterly ordinary Sunday, we solemnly hold our first progress report meeting. Leaders and students, please supervise and offer guidance.”
Fu Mingyuan: “…I thought we were here for dinner?”
The vice principal chuckled. “The setup’s nice enough. We can listen.”
The Medical College dean: “This Omega’s got spirit.”
Pei Yao glanced at the stools under Mu Chenxing’s feet but said nothing.
“…Since founding, we’ve recruited XX members, raised a total of XXX Alliance Coins, and run Association activities for XX days…”
The vice principal was surprised. “Pretty legit.”
Dean: “Strong fundraising skills.”
Association leaders: “Organization’s solid too.”
“…Finally, let’s thank our event sponsors—the Alphas who can admit mistakes and bend without breaking! Thanks to their generosity, our Association was born and grew.” Mu Chenxing pointed at the Alphas at the end of the tables. “Give them a big round of applause!”
The Omegas, prepped in advance, erupted in enthusiastic claps.
The Alphas, under stares from everyone—including the leaders—ducked their heads, scratched cheeks, fidgeted uncomfortably. After all, their “donations” hadn’t exactly been voluntary.
Mu Chenxing didn’t plan to target them further. He mentioned them once, then reeled attention back. “Though we lack funds and members, we believe that even without a fixed venue—even if our daily activities battle wind, rain, and sun—even if our bodies are still developing, pre-Heat Period—even if meds are scarce… no matter how tough, our Association’s Omegas are resilient…”
He rattled on.
“With the Alliance and school’s care for Omegas, under our wise Principal Fu’s leadership, the vice principal’s warm support, and… our environment will improve, our conditions advance by leaps and bounds—Of course, any leader wanting to send some warmth our way is welcome.”
Tong Xiao and the others, standing by the leaders’ table, gritted their teeth and placed printed payment codes in front of each one.
The leaders: “?”
Double-checking—yep, payment codes!!
The leaders were floored.
Mu Chenxing: “Looks like our leaders are pondering how much help to give us.”
Leaders: “…”
Zhang Yunli immediately apologized. “Sorry, I didn’t know this was the plan—you don’t have to—”
“It’s pretty pitiful.” Pei Yao, catching a glare from someone, calmly opened his wristband unfazed. “These little Omegas have it rough. I’ll lead by example and donate ten thousand.”
Leaders: “…”
Fu Mingyuan, Zhang Yunli: “…” These two scheming together to scam money?
Before they could react, Mu Chenxing whooped excitedly. “Thanks to Teacher Pei for ten thousand! Vice President Tong, present this generous donor with our Association’s Commemorative Badge!”
Pei Yao took the red badge, eyed it, then set it on the table. He spread his hands to the others at his table—brick thrown, your turn for jade.
Mu Chenxing: “Teacher Pei’s stepped up—next, Principal Fu!!”
No more pretending—straight-up naming him.
Forty or fifty pairs of student eyes swiveled to Fu Mingyuan.
Fu Mingyuan glanced at Zhang Yunli, who was about to speak—
“Is the principal short on funds? Does your Beta at home handle the money tightly? Need to check with your Beta first?”
Zhang Yunli: “…” Awkward facepalm, playing dead!
Fu Mingyuan scanned the room, sighed helplessly, opened his wristband, and scanned to pay.
Mu Chenxing was monitoring the Association account. Seeing it, he shouted, “Thanks to Principal Fu for twenty thousand Alliance Coins—so generous!! Next up, our vice principal—”
Other leaders: “…”
Seriously? Naming us one by one?!
Who said this was students treating us to dinner?
This is a robbery banquet!
