Recently, due to a bug when splitting chapters, it was only possible to upload using whole numbers, which is why recent releases ended up with a higher chapter number than the actual chapter number. The chapters already uploaded and their respective novels can no longer be fixed unless we edit and re-upload them chapter by chapter(Chapters content are okay, just the number in the list is incorrect), but that would take a lot of time. Therefore, those uploaded in that way will remain as they are. The bug has been fixed(lasted 1 day), as seen with the recently uploaded novels, which can be split into parts and everything works as usual. From now on, all new content will be uploaded in correct order as before the bug happens. If time permits in the future, we may attempt to reorganize the previously affected chapters.

Chapter 34

Mu Chenxing flipped through the legal codes, satisfying his urge, then decisively deleted Mu Yifan’s contact info.

His three roommates: “Hey!!”

Mu Chenxing shut off the holo-screen. “Feels good.”

Tong Xiao: “That’s your… you’re gonna have to go back eventually!”

Tao Xirui: “Y-You still need living expenses and tuition!”

Xia Weizhen: “Ah, add him back quick. Fathers and sons don’t hold grudges overnight, right?”

Mu Chenxing: “It’s fine. I’ve got money, and I can make more. A tree dies when transplanted, but a person thrives with a change. Keeping someone like that around would just leave me emotionally blocked, mentally and physically unwell, twisting my personality into something perverse in the end.”

The original owner had already set the example.

The original owner had already paid with his life. He had no need to be bound by such a relationship.

The three roommates: “But—”

“If I ever lose money in business later, you guys remember to support me. Don’t abandon me!” Mu Chenxing hugged the Tao Xirui next to him and shamelessly changed the subject.

After some horseplay, the roommates knew he wouldn’t change his mind for now, so they swallowed their advice.

Over the next few days, Mu Chenxing’s life returned to calm once more. The Omegas in the Omega Growth Association, however, were thrilled, playing shooting games every evening with great enthusiasm.

And there was an unexpected surprise. That fun sports meet had given the Omega Association a huge publicity boost. Word spread that there were association activities every day, with post-dinner strolls in the little park, and waves of Omegas flooded in to join.

The association members planned to use their old trick—lure in a bunch of frail Omegas for group runs—but Mu Chenxing refused this time.

He didn’t accept everyone indiscriminately, nor did he hide the exercise requirements. He even listed “No special circumstances; participate in association exercises daily” as a condition.

That wasn’t all.

He also required applicants to follow the association members on runs for ten days straight, with perfect attendance before they could join.

The association members didn’t understand it.

The applicants didn’t either, and many backed out. At least eight out of ten who were just there for the fun quit.

Tong Xiao and the others felt sorry for the lost numbers.

Mu Chenxing stayed calm. “Omegas aren’t all gentle and cute. Without a threshold, if we let in some bullies who pick on the kind but fear the wicked, wouldn’t that just bully our association’s little crybabies?”

Their thirty-odd members were crybabies through and through—one harsh word from an Alpha and they’d tear up. How could they stand up to those spoiled young master types?

Tong Xiao: “You haven’t even tested their personalities. What’s the point?”

Mu Chenxing asked him: “What’s our association most famous for?”

Tong Xiao: “The fun sports meet? Or our runs?”

“Wrong.” Mu Chenxing wagged his finger. “It’s revenge.”

Tong Xiao: “…”

It… seemed like that was true.

“So how does making them run ten days weed out those types?”

Mu Chenxing: “Kid, you don’t get it. Bullies who pick on the kind but fear the wicked are usually the most cowardly and fake. They rarely have the grit for effort or persistence. Those fine qualities? Only cute people have ’em.”

Tong Xiao: “…Why do I feel like we’ve been insulted? We slack off all the time.”

Not just their dorm’s three—they and the whole association often ran three steps and walked two. Two kilometers in an hour was already impressive.

Mu Chenxing smiled faintly. “That’s just messing around, not real slacking. You guys are running anyway; a few steps more or less doesn’t matter.”

Aside from poor stamina, these Omegas were way easier to handle than the green recruits he’d trained before.

Tong Xiao got it. “Oh, we could go even harder, huh.”

Mu Chenxing: “…”

Tong Xiao got his cheeks pinched for that, but even with the conditions, the association gained a big batch of new members.

Once the tested list was submitted to the system, the Omega Growth Association’s membership finally broke 60. It was no longer some obscure little club.

Just before November, their applied-for activity venue was finally set up.

Mu Chenxing had requested a study room in the gardens, but at the final review, school leaders rejected it and assigned them a small gymnasium instead, right next to the O-Type Hall for easy access.

The association’s Omegas were over the moon, but Mu Chenxing stayed nonchalant—military academies had fixed venues with gear for mecha clubs, shooting clubs, close-combat clubs. Theirs was small potatoes.

Still, he was happy. He’d crammed most of the fun sports meet events into this space. Rain or wind? No stopping training; just head over.

Though their events were makeshift substitutes, the school teachers had added Intelligent Brain systems to the basic equipment, ensuring safety for the Omegas.

With the venue ready, Mu Chenxing adjusted the schedule: shooting and runs Monday through Friday, weekend training at the venue.

Everything was perfect.

Except…

Luo Chen video-called, asking why he’d deleted Mu Yifan’s contact.

Mu Chenxing: “Can’t afford the trouble.”

Luo Chen, dead serious: “I know living with him sucks, but he covers your food, clothes, and shelter. You’ve put up with it for years. What’s with the sudden tantrum?”

Mu Chenxing: “No tantrum. Wings are just hard enough that I don’t wanna anymore.”

Luo Chen frowned. “You’re only 18. How hard can they be? If you weren’t on Central Star, I wouldn’t even send you money. You dare block him? Suck it up at least till graduation.”

Mu Chenxing pondered. “So, you don’t want this kid either.”

Luo Chen’s words held no parental tone.

Luo Chen’s face darkened. “What nonsense are you spouting? Want a beating?”

Mu Chenxing: “…You do domestic violence too?”

Luo Chen: “Mu Chenxing! Cut the bullshit!!”

Mu Chenxing: “Otherwise who’s abusing me? Mu Yifan?”

Luo Chen paused, softened. “You’re an Omega after all. He won’t go too far. Just endure till graduation.”

Mu Yifan really did abuse him, huh. No wonder…

Mu Chenxing: “Won’t endure. If you don’t wanna send money or deal, block me too. No need to put in a word with Mu Yifan. If he wants contact, let him figure it out.”

He hung up.

He had no interest in family dramas or soap operas.

He’d seen too many tragedies and separations. No point wasting his limited life on such tedium.

After hanging up, he tossed the matter aside.

Zhang Yunli had been busy lately. His project was underway, involving students. He only stopped by for the sports meet and venue opening before vanishing.

Of course, he didn’t forget to summon Mu Chenxing for checkups every few days.

The day after blocking Luo Chen, Zhang Yunli announced Mu Chenxing’s pheromone levels had fully normalized. Gland growth had slowed markedly; no other issues.

Mu Chenxing was thrilled. Following dormmates’ advice, he bought Zhang Yunli a modest gift—not cheap for a student without income.

Zhang Yunli accepted happily, then sent a red envelope reimbursing it—with extra.

He followed up with two sets of clothes: two low-key base layers.

November brought cooler weather; uniforms had switched to long pants and jackets. Mu Chenxing’s consistent workouts meant he barely felt cold. Jacket over spring-summer uniform sufficed.

He hadn’t expected these from Zhang Yunli.

The professor already took great care of him daily.

He’d thought it was just his personality, plus Pei Yao’s connection.

But after moving out of Zhang Yunli’s place, Pei Yao said he hadn’t crashed there. So from Zhang Yunli’s view, he shouldn’t know Mu Chenxing kept contact with Pei Yao until half a month ago—Pei Yao wasn’t a blabbermouth.

Combining known family info, though Zhang Yunli wasn’t directly involved in the prior case, his partner Fu Mingyuan was principal. He’d likely learned details or secrets.

Looks like the original owner’s “accident,” his crossing over… human interference seemed unlikely.

Mu Chenxing masked his thoughts and hugged Zhang Yunli. “Thanks, teacher~ I’ll massage your legs, shoulders, run errands—make you the most envied prof at Alliance First Military Academy~”

Zhang Yunli was speechless. “Massage shoulders and legs makes me most envied? Don’t be cheeky!”

Mu Chenxing: “Of course! With me, the academy’s handsomest Omega, doing it—every Omega would die of envy!”

Zhang Yunli: “…”

He pinched his cheek. “Just stop scamming me a few times.”

Mu Chenxing: “Cough, definitely no more donation asks!”

He pulled out a document. “Here’s money and honors for you.”

Zhang Yunli: “?”

He eyed him suspiciously, took it, scanned quickly—

“!!”

“Are you insane?! You’re Omegas!”

Mu Chenxing grinned. “But we’re military academy students too.”

Zhang Yunli: “No way, this is too—”

He faltered.

Mu Chenxing: “Aside from being Omegas, any issues? Rules don’t ban Omegas.”

“But…”

Mu Chenxing monkey-clung to him. “Teacher, help us out~ You’re our advisor~ No signature, no go~~~”

Zhang Yunli was a tad shorter; Mu Chenxing’s headbutts nearly toppled him from the chair.

Helpless, he pinched Mu Chenxing to stop, grumbling: “Rules are rules, but you’d just be a laughingstock up there.”

Mu Chenxing: “Checked past records lately. No winning shot, but definitely not laughingstock level.”

That confident? Zhang Yunli didn’t buy it.

“Teacher~ Trust me. I didn’t make you spend on advising for laughs.”

Zhang Yunli frowned: “Meaning?”

Mu Chenxing squatted before him, whispering conspiratorially, opening a page.

Zhang Yunli scanned it, looked at him with complex eyes. “You want me to apply for this…”

Mu Chenxing nodded, batting eyes. “So, teacher, sign!”

Zhang Yunli stared, sighed. “Silly kid, as your teacher, caring for you and the academy’s Omegas is my duty. And sponsoring your association? Pocket change for me and the principal after years working together—”

“Teacher~~” Mu Chenxing clung again. “That’s the goal, not guaranteed. The event’s the main thing—we all wanna join!!”

“…Stop scamming. You wanna, but Xiaoxiao and them? Not sure.”

Mu Chenxing: “Don’t worry, they do.”

Zhang Yunli doubted.

Mu Chenxing blinked innocently. “They didn’t wanna run at first, but ran two months. Didn’t wanna shoot, now compete daily. Didn’t wanna—”

“Enough.” Zhang Yunli grumbled. “I know you’ve got a million sly tricks. They can’t beat you.”

Mu Chenxing chuckled, glancing at the document. “So…”

“Signing!” Zhang Yunli grabbed a pen and signed, muttering, “I wanna see what happens too.”

Late November, Alliance First Military Academy Athletic Games Preliminaries registration closed. Prelims would start in December.

Individuals or teams could enter; no difference. Teams got anonymized and shuffled, but allowed free grouping for co-op events.

Top prelim performers would be school-assembled into teams for collective training toward next spring’s Alliance Military Academy Games.

The kind that earned military merits.

Rewards weren’t high, prizes meager, but no one complained.

Alliance Military Academy Games every two years; this intra-school prelim the same. Everyone took it in stride.

Until the school official website posted the roster.

In a long list of 70% Alphas and 30% Betas, someone spotted a full-Omega team.

Omega Growth Association: 63 Omegas registered for the military academy’s Competitive Sports Meet Preliminaries.

Everyone was stunned.

Did the association click the wrong link?

Mu Chenxing met with an ambush and died while carrying out a mission. When he woke, a bizarre heat and dizziness overwhelmed his body. He spotted the shady figures around him and calmly grabbed a wine bottle. Clang! He smashed it and jabbed the jagged edge into his thigh before charging forward— By the time he pieced together what had happened, he realized he'd transmigrated into some bizarre world. The interstellar expanse stretched vast, technology advanced beyond measure, but humanity's classifications were downright strange. His kind was called Omega—weak as dodder vine, their lives seemingly revolving around nothing but marriage, popping out kids, going into heat, and hooking up with guys. Fuck! Pei Yao was notorious for despising Omegas—until he witnessed that spectacular showdown at the mouth of the alley. He caught the lingering scent of wine in the air and suddenly thought, Omegas aren't so bad after all. He couldn't stop thinking about that Omega from that night. When he attended his alma mater's celebration, he ran into that very same pretty Omega with explosive power from the alley. He immediately blocked his path and smiled. "Little beauty, looks like we're pretty fated. Wanna bond with me?" What came back at him was a vicious groin kick from the little Omega. Pei Yao: *Hiss... that's hot. At the University Arena Competition between interstellar universities, a pretty Omega burst onto the scene out of nowhere. He crushed a horde of Alphas and stormed into the finals. Online, the insults, mockery, and disgust began to brew into a storm of negativity. But then the Omega-phobic Admiral—judged doomed to a life of lonely widowhood—suddenly opened a Starbo account. His first post was just a single photo: A bruised-faced Omega kicking an Alpha opponent flying. @Pei Yao: *My wife—handsome, right? The entire net: *...* Mu Chenxing: *...*
