Chapter 60: The Rocking Car
The staff member moved the rocking car to the side of the garage and wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Boss, I’ve moved it for you. It’s this little dog-shaped electric rocking car, right?”
Ji Bin laughed heartily and nodded. “That’s the one. You can go back to work. I’ll take Nuonuo for a test ride.”
With that, Ji Bin reached out, picked up Nuonuo, who was not even as tall as his knee, and even pinched his little nose. “How about it? Do you like the little doggy one? If not, Brother Ji also has a little horse here. It runs very fast too.”
Nuonuo lowered his little head, his big eyes staring at this little car. His little face was wrinkled, his little brows almost twisted into a caterpillar. “I… I’m widing this, ya?”
As if he couldn’t believe it, Nuonuo even pointed his little finger at the rocking car for Brother Ji to see.
“That’s right. Isn’t this one so pretty! Fei Han’s car isn’t as cute as yours!”
Ji Bin was quite good at coaxing children. As he spoke, he crouched down and turned on the switch of the rocking car.
Instantly, the rocking car began to sway back and forth, accompanied by a cheerful and high-pitched music. “A group of ducks swam under the big bridge in front of the door…”
Something felt a little off, but Nuonuo was young and couldn’t say what it was. So he could only purse his little lips, wring his little hands, and after a couple of whimpers, he lay on Ji Bin’s shoulder, motionless.
“Hey, don’t be discouraged. Brother Ji is going to teach you how to drive this little car later. Don’t you want to beat Fei Han?”
Ji Bin poked the little one’s face, which was as soft as if it had no bones. He felt that the texture was quite good and even reached out to pinch it again.
“No pinch, ya!” Nuonuo turned his little head away, not letting Ji Bin pinch his face. After a long while, he finally opened his little mouth and said, “I’m wacing with brother, ya!”
Seeing that Nuonuo had been coaxed by him, Ji Bin pursed his lips and let out a chuckle, showing his big white teeth. What a gullible little fool!
And the key is that this is Fei Han’s little brother. Could it be that the little one’s IQ was all sucked away by Fei Han, which is why he became so silly?
Unable to hold it back, Ji Bin puckered his lips and gave Nuonuo’s soft, white little cheek a light peck.
Having successfully gotten a little closer to the little dumpling, Ji Bin grinned like a fool. Unable to contain his excitement, he even happily held Nuonuo and spun around in place a few times.
Nuonuo was staring at the car when he felt a mosquito bite on his little cheek. He reached out and scratched it, and then, with a confused face, he was held by Brother Ji and spun around.
The spinning made Nuonuo’s little head a little dizzy. When he finally stopped, his eyes were curved into a spiral.
Being put on the ground, Nuonuo was even walking in circles. In the end, his little foot twisted, and he fell head-first by Ji Bin’s feet.
Ji Bin was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. He picked up the little one, patted his dirty little trouser legs, and after Nuonuo had recovered, he took him to the front of the rocking car.
The space inside the rocking car’s bucket was quite large. Ji Bin, an adult, plus Nuonuo, a child, could just barely fit.
Holding the round steering wheel, Ji Bin even found a small pair of sunglasses for Nuonuo to wear, honked the horn, and shouted, “Let’s go!”
Nuonuo also raised his little hands, clumsily pushed up the little sunglasses that had slipped to the middle of his nose, and followed with a milky voice, “Wet’s go!”
The two of them, riding the rocking car, began to move forward in the cheerful music, at a speed not much faster than walking.
And so, a strange scene appeared on the huge racetrack.
The other tracks had motorcycles flying by with a whoosh, the roar of their engines deafening. And the easternmost track was directly enclosed by a railing by the staff.
There were no other racers inside, only a child driving a rocking car, seriously steering the wheel, heading towards the finish line in front.
The people on the other two tracks came over to watch the fun. Hearing the extremely cheerful and catchy nursery rhyme, they couldn’t help but smile before they even got close.
The eldest daughter of the Zheng family also walked over with her two little sisters, wondering what kind of trick this Ji Bin was up to now.
Flicking her wine-red hair, the eldest daughter of the Zheng family did a neat side handspring, jumped down from the railing of the other track, and landed right in front of Nuonuo.
Nuonuo was now driving the little car by himself. Although the rocking car was very simple to operate and had no technical content, for Nuonuo, his little hands holding the steering wheel were tense, afraid he would drive crooked.
Ji Bin followed behind him on the left, nodding with pride. “Not bad, not bad. A great teacher produces a brilliant student. Nuonuo has only been on his second lap, and he’s already very skilled!”
Behind Ji Bin were a few burly racers. They looked at this rocking car and Nuonuo sitting on it, and their hearts almost melted. They went over and asked, “I think Nuonuo is still not driving steadily. How about I go up and drive with him next lap! My skills are top-notch!”
“You wish! You lost to me last time! It should be my turn to drive with Nuonuo first. You get out of the way!”
“No, I want to sit in the rocking car with the little cutie! Ji Bin, I’m a senior member of the club. Don’t I even have this little benefit!”
Seeing the few of them about to argue, Ji Bin let out a little “aiyo” and quickly spoke up to stop them. “That’s enough! Nuonuo is going to participate in a race later. Don’t cause trouble here!”
Hearing this, the others were stunned. “A race? Who is so stupid as to race with our Nuonuo? Why don’t you let me go and fight him first! We’ll talk after I beat him!”
Ji Bin directly gave him an elbow. “What are you making a fuss about! Go and fight Fei Han. He’ll be here soon!”
Instantly, the few of them took a step back and closed their mouths tightly.
The young masters who played at the club had all heard of the reputation of the eldest young master of the Fei family. Others drove for fun, but when he drove, it was as if he didn’t care about his life, twisting the throttle to the maximum, very fierce!
“Forget it. I don’t dare to mess with Fei Han. But Nuonuo is driving a rocking car and is going to race with Fei Han?”
One of them let out a couple of “tsk”s. “That’s too unfair. How can he bully our Nuonuo!”
“Exactly! That’s not right. Who came up with this race? His brain must have been eaten by a zombie!”
Ji Bin, who had been the first to propose this race: “…”
“Go away, go away! You’re all delaying me and Nuonuo from winning the race!”
Just as Ji Bin finished speaking, Nuonuo in front let out a cry of surprise, which made the few of them quickly run over to see.
The rocking car was driving fine, but suddenly someone jumped down in front of it, which gave Nuonuo a big scare. His little hands and feet suddenly didn’t know where to put them, his little body stiff as he watched his rocking car hit the other person.
The eldest daughter of the Zheng family could have dodged, but she saw the little cutie on the car so scared his eyes were round and deliberately didn’t move to the side.
The front of the car, which was wrapped in a circle of rubber soft padding, hit the eldest daughter of the Zheng family’s leg without any surprise. She let out a little “aiyo” and forced the little car to a stop.
Nuonuo, with a dazed little face, was picked up by Ji Bin, who had rushed over from behind. He patted his head and comforted him. “Don’t cry, don’t cry. Nuonuo, are you hurt?”
Nuonuo shook his little head and even pointed at the eldest daughter of the Zheng family. “I… I hit someone!”
“Who said that? It was clearly Zheng Yan who ran into you herself. It has nothing to do with our Nuonuo! I saw it clearly from behind! Zheng Yan, you’re just trying to frame someone!”
Zheng Yan put her hands on her hips, let out a light scoff, and looked up at Ji Bin. “That’s right, I did it on purpose! You hurry up and let me hold the little one in your hands! Otherwise, I won’t let this go!”
Zheng Yan looked at Nuonuo being held in Ji Bin’s arms, his big, blinking eyes staring at her, and her heart itched even more. “I don’t care. The little cutie hit someone and has to be responsible for me!”
Zheng Yan even walked over, stretched out her hand, and coaxed him lightly. “Your name is Nuonuo, right? Big sister has candy here. How about you come with big sister?”
“No… no, ya.”
Nuonuo hid his little face in Ji Bin’s shoulder, only revealing his bright black eyes, as innocent and dazed as a rabbit that had fallen into a wolf’s den.
The little sisters of Zheng Yan next to her also felt as if their hearts had been shot by an arrow. They all pulled at Zheng Yan and said, “Aiyo, I can’t take it anymore. Where did Ji Bin get such a cute child?”
Hearing this, Ji Bin couldn’t help but proudly lift his head. He was about to boast and make them die of envy when he turned his head and saw Fei Han walking towards them. The long string of boasts was directly swallowed back.
“Hehe, isn’t this… Fei Han’s little brother? He came to play with Fei Han today.”
After he finished speaking, the several young masters and young ladies next to him all opened their mouths in surprise. Zheng Yan even let out a “holy shit.” “No way, Fei Han?! That emotionless-faced Young Master Fei! Are you mistaken…”
Before Zheng Yan could finish, she was pulled by the arm by her little sister, who whispered in her ear, “Fei Han is behind you!”
Quickly changing the subject, Zheng Yan laughed awkwardly. “There’s definitely no mistake. He looks just like Fei Han’s little brother! So well-behaved, so much like him!”
This lie was so awkward that by the end, Zheng Yan had even covered her face with her hands, hoping Fei Han hadn’t seen her.
Fei Han, holding his helmet in his left hand, didn’t even glance at them. In the big summer, he was like a piece of ice isolated from the world, instantly freezing the previously hot atmosphere.
“Brother!”
Just as the atmosphere was getting cold and tense, a little milky voice rang out. Nuonuo stretched out his little arms, and the moment he saw his brother, he leaned half his body out, eager to hug him.
Fei Han saw his little brother and directly caught him with one hand, holding him in his arms.
He was still wearing his racing suit, and the material was a little stiff. Nuonuo leaned his little face against it, felt the coolness, and couldn’t help but reach out and touch it. “Brother’s cwoathes are pwetty, ya!”
Fei Han’s racing suit matched his motorcycle, silver-gray, low-key and restrained. But with his sharp-browed, cold-eyed looks, it was very eye-catching.
Even someone as scared of him as Zheng Yan had to admit that the moment Fei Han sped past on the racetrack, her heart had also skipped a beat.
Unfortunately, he’s just a big block of ice who doesn’t understand romance, Zheng Yan couldn’t help but complain.
Seeing his brother, Nuonuo was super happy. He wrapped his arms around his brother’s neck and, not minding the heat, pressed his little face against his brother’s shoulder. “Where is brother’s bike, ya?”
Nuonuo turned his little head and saw the motorcycle parked not far behind his brother. He let out a small “wow.” “I wide a bike too, with brother!”
Ji Bin coughed lightly at this moment, pushed Nuonuo’s rocking car over, and patted Fei Han’s shoulder with a “hehe.” “How about it? Want to have a race with our little cutie? Everyone here is betting on Nuonuo to win!”
