Chapter 115: The Snow
Fine snowflakes fell on Nuonuo’s long eyelashes, cold and cool, making him can’t help but blink his eyes.
The gentle breeze blew the white snowflakes around, and they fell on the mud and branches, quickly melting into a drop of water, no longer pure white and crystal clear.
“This is a snowflake. Nuonuo, you see, isn’t it cool, but also different from a raindrop?”
A snowflake had just landed on Teacher Xiao Ran’s fingertip, but before she could even hold it out to Nuonuo, it had melted into water from her body temperature.
Nuonuo nodded his head, not quite understanding. He looked up at the snowflakes for a while and then couldn’t help but hold his little face in his hands and ask with pleading eyes, “Teacher Xiao Ran, the snowflake looks like cotton candy. Will it also be sweet when you eat it?”
Teacher Xiao Ran was a little embarrassed, thinking to herself, How can everything be related to eating?
“No, snowflakes have no taste.”
Hearing Teacher Xiao Ran’s words, Nuonuo let out a very regretful breath. The hot air dissipated into the air and instantly condensed into a white mist.
As if he thought this game of breathing in the winter was very fun, Nuonuo puckered his little face, his cheeks puffed up, and he let out another breath, then tirelessly waved his little hands, waving away all the mist.
On the lawn in the distance, many little friends were running and making a fuss. The first snow not only did not bring a cold atmosphere, but instead made the atmosphere of the kindergarten even more fiery.
But soon, the small snowflakes fell more and more densely, and if you weren’t careful, you would have a head full of snow.
The teachers also gathered the little friends into the room and, taking advantage of the first snow, gave them some common knowledge about snow.
Nuonuo held his little face and listened very seriously, but his little head couldn’t hold too many things. By the time the class was over, he had almost forgotten everything.
Before school was over, Nuonuo held his little backpack and ran to the corner of the completely withered flower bushes, taking out the small cotton blanket he had brought from home.
The little kitten in the corner was almost two months old. From walking wobbly, to now being able to simply run and jump behind its mother, it changed its appearance almost every day.
The kindergarten teacher had built a new nest for the little kittens, but the new nest was made of wood and didn’t look very warm. So Nuonuo had brought his own cotton blanket from home for the little kittens.
The little kitten was also very friendly to people and was very familiar with Nuonuo’s scent. The moment Nuonuo came over, it would meow and circle around him, rubbing Nuonuo’s little legs with its little tail and little face.
Nuonuo had little cats lying on both his little feet, which made him not dare to lift his feet. He could only move to the side of the cat’s nest with difficult little steps and spread the small cotton blanket in the cat’s nest.
“Little kitty, be good and go in.”
Nuonuo stretched out his little hands and put the little cat lying on his feet in.
But just as he put one in, another little kitten ran over and, as if trying to frame him, continued to curl up by his feet, motionless.
Nuonuo bent down and carried the little cats in one by one with his little hands, but the little cats just pounced out one after another, as if the one person and several cats were playing a relay race.
By the time Nuonuo was so tired his little forehead was sweating, he finally poked the little kitten closest to him with his little finger in a huff.
“You have to be obedient, just like me. Papa likes a well-behaved Nuonuo!”
But it was clear that the little cat didn’t understand at all. It just thought Nuonuo was playing with them and even jumped left and right, meowing again.
Just as Nuonuo was sighing at the few little kittens, he heard the sound of footsteps from outside the corner.
He had just turned his head when he saw Gu Ze running over with his little backpack.
Gu Ze’s feet were covered in snow water, and his little face was a little red from running. Seeing that Nuonuo was indeed here, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief. “Nuonuo, school is almost over. Let’s go.”
As Gu Ze spoke, he saw the little kittens surrounding Nuonuo’s legs and couldn’t help but narrow his eyes at them.
The little kittens were also very alert. They keenly sensed Gu Ze’s dislike for them and, scared by his cold face, they quickly meowed and ran back to their nest.
Taking Nuonuo’s hand, Gu Ze led him towards the classroom.
“Thank you, Gu Ze.”
Nuonuo followed behind Gu Ze with small steps, looking at Gu Ze’s back and saying in a small voice.
Gu Ze just let out a “hmm” and didn’t say much more.
Nuonuo also scratched his little face. He knew that Gu Ze didn’t like that group of little cats and even didn’t like all kinds of small animals. He had secretly run over to see the little cats, and every time, he would be caught by Gu Ze.
“Gu Ze, are you angry?”
Nuonuo leaned his little face close and took a step forward to look at him.
Gu Ze shook his head and said no. “I won’t be angry with you.”
Seeing Nuonuo’s still-dazed eyes, Gu Ze sighed lightly and explained, “I was just afraid that those little cats would scratch you.”
So every time Nuonuo ran out to see the little cats, Gu Ze would be very nervous and would quickly run over to find him.
Although those little kittens really liked Nuonuo, the moment Gu Ze came, they would run away as if they were scared.
Almost every time, it was Gu Ze who ran over and rescued Nuonuo, who was surrounded by the cats.
Now Nuonuo was even more embarrassed, but he thought of something and blinked his eyes, asking, “Gu Ze, do you like little fish?”
In Nuonuo’s heart, little fish were the cutest animals in the world, just like himself, with beautiful tails that could even sway up and down!
So Nuonuo was very confident that although Gu Ze didn’t like other small animals, he would definitely like the cute little fish cubs!
Gu Ze’s brow furrowed slightly. He looked at the small pond in the kindergarten, which was already covered with a layer of floating ice, and thought to himself, Could it be that Nuonuo also likes to go and feed the little fish?
Quickly shaking his head, Gu Ze said very firmly, “I don’t like them. Little fish are not pretty at all!”
Not only that, but Gu Ze also turned his head and said to Nuonuo seriously, “Little fish are all very fierce. Nuonuo, you shouldn’t like them either.”
The small pond is much more dangerous than the cat’s nest in the corner!
Hearing Gu Ze’s words, Nuonuo’s little brow instantly furrowed, and he put his hands on his hips in a huff. “That’s not true! Fish are all very good!”
The angry Nuonuo let out a “hmph,” tilted his little face up, and ran away without looking back.
Running all the way to the school gate, Nuonuo saw his brother waiting for him outside and instantly forgot all his unhappiness. He ran over and pounced into Fei Han’s arms.
“Brother!”
Nuonuo’s little nose was red from the cold, and he shouted cheerfully.
Fei Han took the scarf he had brought and put it around Nuonuo’s neck. He touched his little face with his hand and, finding it was icy cold, quickly carried him into the car.
“So cold? Did you run out to play again?”
The temperature had dropped a lot these past few days. Fei Han would remind Nuonuo every time before school not to be so playful and run out.
But now it seemed that this little dumpling hadn’t listened at all.
Nuonuo secretly stuck out his tongue, his little face red as he lowered his little head and obediently listened to his brother’s lecture.
Seeing Nuonuo’s appearance, Fei Han really couldn’t get angry, but he still reached out and pinched his little cheek as a small lesson.
Nuonuo secretly glanced at his brother. Seeing that he wasn’t angry anymore, he quickly lifted his little face. “Brother, it’s snowing today!”
Nuonuo swung his short little legs and talked about what had happened at kindergarten, even telling his brother about the two little breads he had eaten at noon.
Fei Han had once thought that people who talked a lot were very noisy, just like Fei Jing, who would quack like a duck when he spoke, making one’s eardrums ache.
But once the object was Nuonuo, Fei Han felt that the various trivial matters the other shared were quite interesting to listen to.
Especially with the snowflakes floating outside, and Nuonuo singing the nursery rhymes he had learned in class in his milky voice, the warmth in the car at this moment made Fei Han’s eyes inexplicably hot.
The warmth spread to his limbs, and Fei Han looked at Nuonuo, who was even beating time for himself with his little hands. The deep part of his heart seemed to soften with the light and cheerful rhythm.
Propping his chin on his hand, Fei Han listened to Nuonuo’s singing very seriously.
Today, Fei Zhiyan was working overtime as usual, so the person who gave Nuonuo a bath became Fei Han.
This was the first time Fei Han had helped Nuonuo with his bath. After filling the tub with water, he gently lifted Nuonuo’s little arms, not daring to use too much force, and slowly and gently placed Nuonuo in the bathtub.
The moment Nuonuo was in the water, he happily started to splash around, swimming back and forth in the large bathtub. From time to time, he would even bury his little head in the water and blow bubbles.
The moment Fei Han saw Nuonuo sink into the water, his heart contracted slightly. He immediately reached out his hand, wanting to pull Nuonuo up.
But the moment his fingertips touched the warm water, Fei Han suddenly remembered Nuonuo’s identity as a little merman.
He slowly let out the breath he had been holding. Fei Han rubbed his forehead and, after calming down, went to find Nuonuo’s little duck toy.
Nuonuo poked his head out of the water again, his little feet held up to his face by his hands. Thinking of what Gu Ze had said about fish being ugly, Nuonuo let out a huff, and his two legs suddenly turned into a blue fishtail.
The blue, gauze-like tail fin swayed slightly in the clear water. The fish scales, under the reflection of the light and the water, were like sparkling little diamonds, embedded one by one on it, crystal clear and beautiful.
Nuonuo held his little tail in front of him, looked at it carefully, and then nodded his little head as if he knew what he was doing.
Fish are not ugly at all!
Gu Ze must have been wrong!
Fei Han, who had found the little duck toy for Nuonuo in the cabinet, was stunned for a moment when he entered the bathroom.
Placing the little duck on the water, Fei Han frowned slightly. He looked at Nuonuo’s soft, swaying tail in the water and was suddenly at a loss for words.
Although he knew that his father and Nuonuo were both mermaids, Fei Han had never seen one before, and his knowledge of mermaids had always been limited to the “human body, fish tail” concept.
But after really seeing one, he realized how pale his four-word description was.
Although Nuonuo was still young, and his fishtail was still chubby with a hint of childishness, it still made one’s gaze unable to move away when they saw it.
