The demon horn in his hand was not smooth; it was covered in segmented ridges. The base was the thickest, too wide for one hand to grip, and following its curved arc backward led to the sharp tip.
In the struggle, Zhong Nian accidentally prodded it lightly with his palm, wincing in pain. He had no doubt that if this pair of horns rammed into someone’s abdomen, it would pierce right through, fatally.
He desperately tried to curl his fingers up, but the Goat Demon, driven by some inexplicable obsession, insisted on pressing the goat horn into his hand.
It was unclear who was touching whom, but Zhong Nian’s fingertips were rubbed raw and sore.
“Let… go, I said… let go!” Zhong Nian gritted his back teeth, and with his other hand hidden behind him, he swung the dagger out.
Clang!
The blade scraped against the skull with a teeth-grating sound, tearing through flesh and blood, but this attack seemed to have no effect on the Goat Demon—he didn’t even bleed.
Unwilling to give up, Zhong Nian tried to thrust the dagger in deeper, but his wrist was seized and yanked forward. Then, a wet, cold sensation clung to his fingertips.
By now, the shouting outside the door had faded, replaced by an increasingly loud, spine-chilling crunching sound that sent shivers down the spine.
The stench of blood grew so thick it seeped into the room.
Zhong Nian had no time to worry about what was happening outside. As prey for demons just like him, he glared shamefully at the Goat Demon, whose long tongue coiled around his fingers to lick them, and kicked out with his foot.
But this kick only hurt his own foot first.
He had used considerable force, but the demon’s body was inhuman and unmoved.
The commotion outside quieted, and his kick made the wooden bed creak loudly, the sound echoing sharply.
Bang!
Zhong Nian heard a door open next door, followed by several gunshots in the corridor.
Even without looking, he knew the Masked Man had gone out to fight the demon outside.
The Bald Man had screamed so loudly earlier without anyone coming, so he could guess the Masked Man had noticed the disturbance in his room and acted out of concern.
Though he was trapped, Zhong Nian didn’t want the Masked Man to save him again.
The situation was different now—the Masked Man was already badly injured, and there were two demons in the Cabin.
The Goat Demon noticed the young man’s distraction and gripped his jaw with five fingers, forcing his gaze back onto itself.
“Don’t like my horns?” the Goat Demon asked him in a low voice. “But I saw you touch that Lamb Kid—not just once, and you never refused its approach. You like it a lot.”
“No.” Zhong Nian tried to push the demon off with his knee, straining until his small face flushed red and his breathing grew slightly rapid. “I don’t like it, and I hate you.”
“Don’t like” and “hate”—two different expressions.
The Goat Demon caught the distinction, and his pupils dilated slightly.
Seizing the demon’s momentary daze, Zhong Nian twisted his wrist and redirected the dagger—
The S-rank Prop unleashed its power in Zhong Nian’s hand, and the blade chipped away at the hardest part of the goat horn.
A tip about four centimeters long snapped off, landing precisely in the hollow of Zhong Nian’s collarbone, making him tremble lightly.
But this attack seemed to have no effect on the Goat Demon. He seized Zhong Nian’s wrist, stopping the dagger from stabbing again, and breathed hotly against his reddened eye corner: “It’s fine. I like you very much.”
His crimson tongue swept across Zhong Nian’s cheek, tasting him again. A fiercer desire erupted in his eyes—a scorching mix of appetite and lust, mad and greedy, like red threads entwining.
Zhong Nian reflexively turned his head to dodge, but the wet coldness shifted to his pale ear, now exposed right in front of the demon.
Even without being rabbit ears, it was extremely sensitive.
The tongue traced the ear’s outline like a paintbrush, following the external curves and dips, coiling around the soft earlobe and suckling it like a pearl in its mouth.
The wet sucking sounds rang right by his ear, especially when it probed into the ear canal, sticky and slimy straight to his brain nerves.
An indescribable tingling spread from his scalp, as if his very soul was being toyed with by the tongue, coated in saliva.
At first, Zhong Nian twisted his waist in futile struggle, but soon his whole body went limp.
Only then did he realize how sensitive his human ears could be—like a fatal weak point had been seized, melting his thoughts.
His body heated up, mingled with an inexplicable sensation laced with fear.
Every time the red tongue delved into his ear canal, he feared it would stretch further, burrowing deep to devour his brain.
“No…” He could no longer hear the Masked Man’s fight with the demon outside. His mind held only the sticky saliva sounds and the demon’s heavy panting.
Just as he was about to beg more, the demon’s heavy, massive body pressed lower, its waist and below almost fully flush against him.
His soft abdomen flinched in shock, and Zhong Nian’s dazed eyes regained a spark of clarity, flashing surprise before surging with more shame and anger.
His eyes red, he glared at the shameless demon and gnashed out: “I’ll chop you up.”
The Goat Demon said: “Even if chopped, they grow back.”
With that, his tongue licked the wetness at the corner of the young man’s eye.
Zhong Nian choked.
A burning pain flared at his inner thigh; he suspected his skin had broken.
Utterly helpless, a faint, strange “squish squish” came from the doorway inside the room.
The Goat Demon halted all movement and turned toward the door, exuding aggressive cold hostility. Disdainfully, he said: “A lowly thing dares sneak in.”
Zhong Nian’s attention was drawn too, and he turned to look.
From the gap under the wooden door squeezed a shapeless creature.
Several shortened deep-blue tentacles coiled around the bed leg for leverage, and with a “pop,” it pulled its soft, bouncy body out.
It was the Octopus Demon.
The moment it locked eyes with the Goat Demon, its body swelled rapidly, tentacles whipping out like long lashes.
The Goat Demon reached up and grabbed one, squeezing the thick tentacle with terrifying force, nearly crushing it outright.
But the Octopus Demon had more than one tentacle—over a dozen attacked at once, chaotically.
The Goat Demon’s dodging movements were ghostly, too fast to follow.
