Two idiots.
He Siheng’s right hand was still wrapped in bandages, forcing him to be left-handed for the whole week when eating with a spoon.
It wasn’t exactly tough, but it was inconvenient at times—like now, when he wanted to eat the chopped pepper fish head, but the spoon couldn’t get a good scoop.
Zhou Yu, sitting next to him, was about to help him pick some when someone beat him to it and placed the fish head into He Siheng’s bowl.
Zhou Yu froze and looked toward Tan Jing.
He Siheng was used to it and unceremoniously directed, “Give me two pieces of the crispy duck too.”
Tan Jing duly picked two pieces for him.
Now even Wang Yizhou was dumbfounded.
Damn, was this treating to a meal or calling Jing Bro to serve tea and water?
Wang Yizhou was about to protest for Tan Jing when Song Lin quickly picked him a big piece of chopped pepper fish head. “Here, eat this to replenish what you lack. Have more fish head.”
Wang Yizhou was baffled. “Why do I need to replenish my brain?”
Song Lin then picked him a fish eyeball. “Then replenish your eyeballs.”
Wang Yizhou: “…”
After the meal, He Siheng went to pay the bill, with Zhou Yu following close behind.
While waiting in line to check out, He Siheng casually picked two fruit candies from the candy jar at the front desk—strawberry and orange flavors.
He couldn’t hold back against Zhou Yu’s meaningful gaze lingering on him and turned to ask, “Did a flower bloom on my face or something? Can’t take your eyes off?”
Zhou Yu shook his head then nodded. “Do you remember at the sports festival before, when the Class Monitor said what type he likes?”
Of course He Siheng remembered, but he hadn’t taken it seriously. “The challenging type, right?”
Zhou Yu followed up immediately, “I suddenly realized, Heng Bro, you’re super challenging.”
He Siheng: “…”
Seeing He Siheng didn’t believe him, Zhou Yu added, “Don’t you think the Class Monitor is different with you? He even picked food for you just now!”
He Siheng dismissed it. “Picking some food means he likes me? Why don’t you say Song Lin is head over heels for Wang Yizhou then?”
Zhou Yu: “…”
That seemed to make sense.
He Siheng slowly unwrapped the candy and popped the strawberry one into his mouth. “So, don’t believe rumors, and don’t overthink this nonsense.”
“Fine.” Zhou Yu was temporarily convinced and reached out to him.
He Siheng looked baffled. “What?”
Zhou Yu looked equally puzzled. “Isn’t that other candy for me?”
“…No hands? Go get one from the counter yourself.” He Siheng was speechless at his entitled attitude.
Zhou Yu weakly said oh and went to the counter to help himself.
After paying, the two walked out side by side and saw Tan Jing waiting by a stone pillar outside.
Winter had arrived, and the temperature had dropped. Tan Jing wore a black horn-button long coat today, layered with a beige sweater and white T-shirt underneath, paired with black casual pants, making his whole figure sharp and neat.
The mall was bustling with crowds flowing in and out. His height was eye-catching, and his looks were the most outstanding, so many passersby secretly lingered their gazes on him for a few extra seconds.
In just that short time, an Omega boy holding a phone approached Tan Jing timidly, saying something to him—seemingly asking for his contact info.
Surprisingly, Tan Jing didn’t reject him outright like before but chatted with him. They were too far to hear, and their voices were soft anyway.
Zhou Yu couldn’t help sighing, “As expected of the Class Monitor. Even eating a meal attracts admirers.”
He Siheng crunched the strawberry candy loudly, letting out a light snort from his nose. He was quite the charmer; even if he had a partner, he’d still be eyed by others—totally unreliable.
And this guy was such a smooth talker; even if he cheated, he could spin black, red, or yellow into white. Dating him would come with extremely high risk.
As He Siheng analyzed this, he suddenly felt his thoughts were inexplicable. Why was he thinking about this? It had nothing to do with him.
With that in mind, He Siheng tsked and simply unwrapped the orange candy left in his pocket and popped it into his mouth.
The next second, he immediately scrunched up his face from the sourness.
Damn, so sour!
After the meal, with nothing else to do, Song Lin and Wang Yizhou left. Wang Yizhou had originally wanted to stay since Tan Jing wasn’t leaving yet, but Song Lin dragged him away by force.
Seeing Tan Jing finally finish chatting with the guy, He Siheng sauntered over casually and stopped in front of him. “Having a blast chatting, huh, social butterfly Class Monitor.”
Catching the soft barb in his tone, Tan Jing paused but didn’t take the bait. Instead, he asked first, “Head home together?”
“You go first.” He Siheng said, “I still have to go watch a movie with Zhou Yu.”
It was the new horror flick. Zhou Yu was such a wimp but loved excitement; he didn’t dare go alone and begged He Siheng to accompany him for courage.
After saying that, he turned to leave, but the hood of his jacket was grabbed.
“Come together.” Tan Jing caught up and said.
He Siheng said expressionlessly, “We’re watching a horror movie—not your type.”
Tan Jing didn’t mind. “It’s still early to go home anyway.”
He Siheng pursed his lips without responding.
He had noticed that Tan Jing had deliberately ignored his jab earlier, as if indirectly telling him that his love life had nothing to do with him.
Though it really didn’t, he inexplicably felt annoyed.
They stood there in a standoff.
Zhou Yu saw the awkward atmosphere between them, his eyes darted, and he suddenly spoke up. “Heng Bro, I just remembered I have something to do. Why don’t you go watch the movie with the Class Monitor? I’ll send you the ticket code later. Next time I’ll find you to watch!”
