Chapter 51: Open Your Mouth Part 2

Shu Qiu, fresh from the fireworks, was excited. She pulled out her phone to share photos she’d just taken with He Siheng, asking him to pick a few good ones to post in the family group.

He Siheng chatted with her absentmindedly, but his attention was entirely on his right hand.

As soon as they got in the car, a certain someone’s hand had wrapped around his. Fingers slipped between his, palms pressed together, ten fingers intertwined.

His parents were right up front. Even with the seat blocking the view, He Siheng felt anxious and instinctively tried to pull away, only for the grip to tighten.

He Siheng couldn’t help turning his head to shoot Tan Jing a warning glance. The other boy didn’t even look at him, offering only a feigned cold profile. But the brief upward curve at his lips betrayed his deliberate mischief and pleasure.

…This guy really followed through on his words with actions.

He Siheng turned away, resting the back of his head toward him, pretending to look at the scenery outside the window.

Was it because tonight’s night view was too beautiful that he couldn’t control the upward tug at his own lips?

Back home, once the car stopped, Tan Jing finally released He Siheng’s hand.

The two got out tacitly, dodging the invitation to watch the Spring Festival Gala together with different excuses. They headed upstairs one after the other.

The moment Tan Jing followed him into the bedroom, He Siheng immediately tensed up, at a complete loss.

He hadn’t forgotten the “kiss at home” thing.

But they’d already kissed once outside, so maybe…

He had just started entertaining that thought when he accidentally met Tan Jing’s gaze. The idea was instantly overturned.

The young Alpha stared straight at him, not hiding the predatory glint in his eyes at all.

His instincts faintly warned He Siheng that what the boy in front of him wanted went beyond just kissing.

He Siheng averted his eyes and touched his nape uncomfortably. “Want to go to the media room and watch a movie?”

He subconsciously felt that leaving the room with a bed would be safer.

Noticing his stiffness and the deliberate change of location, amusement flickered in Tan Jing’s eyes. “What are you afraid of? I won’t eat you.”

“Wh-who’s afraid?!” He Siheng denied stubbornly, his pride kicking in.

Tan Jing leaned back against the door, tapping his own lips with a finger. “Then come try kissing.”

His words were straightforward. He Siheng shrank back, his face heating up, his voice much smaller and lacking confidence. “Didn’t we kiss outside already…”

Tan Jing laughed. “That barely counts as a kiss, not making out.”

“What’s the difference?” He Siheng didn’t get it.

Tan Jing sighed helplessly, pulled out his phone, and beckoned him over. “Come here. Let’s search online—I’ll give you a lesson.”

He Siheng walked over indignantly. “What lesson? You have to look it up too…”

Before he could finish “look it up,” the boy suddenly leaned in and blocked the words with his mouth.

Before He Siheng could react, Tan Jing’s palm cupped the back of his head, cutting off any escape.

Unlike the brief touch under the fireworks, Tan Jing captured his lips, lightly sucking on them, tracing their pretty shape. His movements were ambiguously tender and lingering.

The phone used as bait fulfilled its role and was tossed unceremoniously onto the built-in cabinet by the door. The freed hand wrapped around He Siheng’s waist, intentionally drawing their bodies even closer.

The boy in his arms showed his first-kiss stiffness plainly, clenching his teeth like he was in a fight.

A helpless chuckle escaped Tan Jing’s lips. He murmured against them, “Be good. Open your mouth.”

He Siheng’s mind had blanked out, buzzing with emptiness. He subconsciously obeyed the voice by his ear and parted his lips.

A soft, warm tongue slipped through the gap, past his teeth, and gently touched his tongue tip. Like a damp feather brushing over it, the faint itch spread to every sense in his body. It was as if all his attention converged on that one spot.

The wet tongue wreaked gentle havoc in his mouth—reckless yet cautious, without much sense or skill, carrying the raw awkwardness of a first time. It stirred up the sound of saliva exchanging.

His nose filled with the other’s scent: fresh pine needles and grass, soft and lingering.

His heartbeat had long lost its rhythm, his breathing erratic and uncontrolled. The instinct to gasp for air made him want to dodge, but his waist was firmly held in place.

Orange blossoms bloomed in the rain-soaked pine forest. Amid the room’s woody aroma, a hint of sweet floral scent gradually emerged.

The entanglement of lips and tongues finally stopped, a thin strand of silver trailing between their parting lips.

He Siheng could barely stand, relying entirely on Tan Jing’s arm around his waist.

He rested his forehead against Tan Jing’s neck, lips reddened, breaths coming heavy.

“You… you bastard…” In the gaps between pants, he still managed to curse the sneaky dog.

Tan Jing tilted his head, thumb gently wiping the silver from the corner of his mouth. His voice was a bit hoarse. “Sorry, first kiss. Couldn’t stop.”

He said sorry, but his tone was utterly righteous.

His apologies were as casual and harmful as car exhaust. If not for the kiss leaving his head feverish and reactions sluggish, He Siheng would’ve bitten his finger.

As it was, he pathetically stayed leaning against the culprit, greedily inhaling his scent.

Tan Jing loved his stubborn denial and this unconscious dependence. His fingers idly stroked the back of He Siheng’s head.

The Omega pheromones floating in the air reminded Tan Jing that this wasn’t a moment for calm coexistence. But having just apologized, it didn’t seem right to bring it up himself.

Tan Jing pondered his words carefully. How could he phrase it without sounding like a beast?

As he thought, He Siheng suddenly lifted his head from his chest, grabbed his collar, and glared fiercely—though his entire face was flushed red.

“Bastard, you kissed me right into my Heat Period!”

The He Family had deep roots, yet they were always suppressed by the Tan Family. Thus, from a young age, He Siheng was burdened with great expectations—he had to compete with Tan Jing for first place in everything.

In high school, after the schools merged, the two unluckily ended up in the same class, clashing like fire and water.

Right at the start of the semester, Tan Jing stole most of He Siheng's popularity. Even when He Siheng tried to chase after girls, Tan Jing sabotaged him.

When He Siheng heard that Tan Jing had differentiated into an S-Rank Alpha, he immediately issued a challenge, declaring that once he passed his own Differentiation Period, they would have a Pheromones showdown.

However, during another conflict, He Siheng—who had shown no signs of differentiation—suddenly flushed red, his legs went weak, and he collapsed into Tan Jing's arms.

Tan Jing looked down at him, his fingertip gently rubbing the back of He Siheng's neck: "Congratulations, you've differentiated into an Omega."

He Siheng blurted out like a stubborn arguer possessed: "Then I'm the strongest Omega!"

...Damn, how could he be an Omega?!

*

To prove that ability had nothing to do with AO gender, He Siheng decided to hide his differentiation from everyone.

To do so, he had to endure humiliation and seal the mouth of the only person in the know, Tan Jing. He went all out to show Tan Jing his "classmate love."

When asked for hush money, he gave it generously.

When ordered to run errands, he gritted his teeth and did it.

During one class break, Tan Jing propped his cheek lazily and said offhandedly, "You take such good care of me."

He Siheng cursed inwardly but smiled on his face: "As long as you're satisfied."

Suddenly, in a voice loud enough for the surrounding classmates to hear, the other asked seriously, "You take such good care of me, you're so thoughtful and caring—don't tell me... you like me?"

The other classmates: "!!!"

He Siheng: "...?"

After differentiating into an S-Rank Omega, suppressants had no effect on He Siheng. During every heat period, he could only rely on an Alpha of the same grade for a Temporary Mark.

And the school's only S-Rank Alpha was Tan Jing.

During one PE class, someone saw He Siheng grab Tan Jing by the collar and drag him away forcefully, as if they were about to fight again.

Half an hour later, when they returned to the classroom, Tan Jing had a split lip.

A friend gave He Siheng a thumbs-up in admiration: "Heng Bro is awesome! You actually beat the Class Monitor!"

He Siheng, who usually loved praise the most, looked strangely this time. He rubbed his bitten neck, which ached, blushed to his ears, and after a long while, managed to squeeze out an "oh."

*That damn guy did the Temporary Mark so hard.*

*Damn, next time, no more biting his mouth.*
