Chapter 29 Part 1

The morning sunlight shone gently and brightly through the uniquely shaped glass dome, illuminating the entire bedroom.

Zhou Chiyu slept soundly, his chubby little legs straddling Gu Yuan’s waist, with occasional hums coming from his mouth.

The night before, the two had stayed up very late before sleeping. Gu Yuan worried that any residual bath gel might harm Zhou Chiyu’s skin, so he carried him into the bathroom and washed him thoroughly from head to toe. However, the bathing process did not trouble Zhou Chiyu at all; he simply sat on a small stool while Gu Yuan handled all the cleaning.

Although Gu Yuan always took good care of him, it was the first time the night before that Gu Yuan had bathed him. He felt that Gu Yuan must have been hiding something on his mind, but he could not guess what it was.

In the morning, the accompanying family doctor came to check on Gu Yuan’s condition. Recently, Gu Yuan’s phlegm had turned dark green, which was not a good sign.

“Little Yuan has gotten thinner again.”

Doctor Auntie lovingly helped Gu Yuan remove his Vibrating Vest and patted Zhou Chiyu’s head. “Little Fish, make sure Brother eats more, okay? Brother eats the most when he’s with you.”

“Got it!” Zhou Chiyu saluted and frowned worriedly. “Auntie, is Brother still sick? Why can’t he eat properly?”

In the past, he only lost his appetite when he had a cold or fever, but even then, he could still finish two bowls of crab roe porridge!

“But didn’t Brother’s flu already get better?”

He stared at the light blue overalls on Zhou Chiyu and gently draped the jacket over him.

The overalls were very cute; they must have been custom-made.

A plump elf doll hung on the front bib of the overalls, swaying as Zhou Chiyu moved, unexpectedly adorable.

He touched Zhou Chiyu’s soft, fluffy arms, his gaze falling on those cute, lively eyes. Unable to resist, he reached out and pinched Zhou Chiyu’s cheek.

“Thanks, Brother.” Zhou Chiyu slung his Cartoon Water Bottle over his back, raised his right hand high, and dashed to the room door like a streak. “Charge toward Forest Park! Go!”

Doctor Auntie smiled and sighed. “Little Fish really has endless energy.”

When they arrived at Forest Park, Zhou Chiyu eagerly ran toward the ticket booth. There were many game themes inside, each marked with different prices.

“Wild Adventure?”

Zhou Chiyu tilted his head up and politely asked the staff at the window, “Pretty Sister, how do you play this adventure?”

The staff member replied, “If you want to play Wild Adventure, you need at least four kids. The rules are behind you. The reward for successfully completing it is an Island Medal.”

Gu Yuan, Zhou Junyi, and the others hurried over. Gu Yuan frowned and took Zhou Chiyu’s hand. “Didn’t I say? When we’re out playing, we have to stay together at all times to avoid bad people.”

Zhou Chiyu had run off very fast just now and vanished in the blink of an eye. Although bodyguards followed them, Gu Yuan still felt uneasy.

“Wild Adventure?” Langlang walked to the rule sign and read, “Three hours as specified. Finding the Island Treasure means victory. After buying tickets, you’ll get an Adventure Supply Pack. No other personal items allowed in the forest.”

“What could the Island Treasure be?” Zhou Chiyu grew more curious and rallied everyone. “How about this: we all go treasure hunting together, and split the treasure at the end?”

Everyone was interested in this exciting and fun activity, so no one refused. When handing their items to the forest management office for safekeeping, Gu Yuan hesitated a bit. “What if we encounter something dangerous?”

The staff replied, “Your parents can watch the forest’s real-time surveillance from the rest area. Every point has staff and professional rescuers.”

Gu Yuan asked seriously, “If we encounter danger, how do we call for emergency help?”

“Thanks.” Gu Yuan first checked Zhou Chiyu’s Adventure Supply Pack thoroughly, confirming everything worked, before checking his own.

“Pretty Sister.” Zhou Chiyu propped himself up on the supply pouch and pouted. “Can you give me a few more oranges?”

His schoolbag had lots of snacks, and compared to that, the things in the Adventure Supply Pack were pitifully few.

“No can do.” The staff shook her head.

“What if I trade something else?” Zhou Chiyu obediently pulled out the Medical Kit and started acting cute. “Pretty Sister, just one apple, please.”

The staff was amused but indeed charmed by Zhou Chiyu’s cuteness, so she made an exception.

In the end, Zhou Chiyu got his wish and received one extra large orange compared to the others. With the heavy Adventure Supply Pack on his back, he swung his arms proudly, as if he had inexhaustible strength.

The Treasure Map was not simple. Gu Yuan took the initiative to lead the way, using the Compass to find the treasure locations.

“Vines ahead—be careful.”

Gu Yuan instinctively took Zhou Chiyu’s hand and noticed that Zhou Chiyu had already opened his biscuits at some point, with only three pieces left uneaten.

“Little Fish, if you eat them now, what if you get hungry later?” Zhou Junyi treasured his own biscuits; this was the only tasty thing inside.
