Global Ocean Survival, But I’m a Max-Level Big Shot

Welcome to the Ocean Survival World.

This is a game that will determine whether the human race survives. Players must endure the trials ahead. If they fail, humanity will be erased. Everyone is urged to proceed with caution.

Climate irregularities, ocean pollution, global warming—

Humanity had ruined Blue Star beyond recognition. Then, without warning, the Ocean Survival Game descended upon the world.

While other players panicked, Yu Tang—the one with merfolk genes and off-the-charts Combat Power—gazed at the vast, pristine ocean. His eyes lit up.

And in his excitement, he jumped straight in.

…

[Server-Wide Announcement: Congratulations to player “Yu Tang” for achieving “First Man-Eating Shark Kill” and receiving a chest reward.]

The other players, still trying to make sense of what was happening: “???”

Other players: They could cast their lines all day without catching a single fish.

Yu Tang: The ocean was an all-you-can-eat buffet. Salmon, king crab, lobster, abalone—what was on the menu today? Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.

Other players: They opened chests from the junk they picked up, and all they got was trash! What a garbage game! It ruined their lives!

Yu Tang: One flick of his tail and a shark’s Health Bar vanished. Chest after chest after chest. Food, weapons, blueprints, supplies—there was so much he couldn’t use it all. He really couldn’t use it all.

…

[Server-Wide Announcement: Congratulations to player “Yu Tang” for achieving “First Island Landing.”]

[World Announcement: Congratulations to player “Yu Tang” for achieving “First Undersea Boss Kill.”]

[World Announcement: Congratulations to player “Yu Tang” for becoming the first player to bind a private island.]

Other players: “!!! I want to report this! Someone’s secretly paying to cheat!”

Island landings, boss fights, disaster survival, undersea exploration, Zone Mergers and competition…

The trials that made everyone else brace for the worst were a breeze for Yu Tang.

Yu Tang: Work hard to get back to the Real World? No, no, no. I could play this game for the rest of my life!

The Survival System: …

…

Just as Yu Tang was having the time of his life and thought he could do whatever he wanted in the game, he—went into heat!

Yu Tang: o.O???

No, seriously. He could live with having a fish tail, but heat? That’s ridiculous!

Then he thought about it. He’d been single before the Survival Game arrived, so what? The world was ending. Wasn’t he allowed to enjoy himself a little?

A thought stirred in his mind. He sent someone a Raft Invitation Card.

“Interested?”

The recipient’s eyes darkened, heat burning in their gaze as if they meant to devour him whole. They replied without hesitation:

“Absolutely.”

…

Players assumed the two bigwigs in their zone never crossed paths. Whenever they met, surely there’d be a fierce clash.

They had no idea the two had been sneaking around behind everyone’s backs for ages. They’d worn through who knew how many sets of sheets.
