Lin Jianxi had just transmigrated when he found himself staring face-to-face with a man.
The man was dressed in a sharp black suit, his voice as calm and gentle as a faint breeze. “Secretary Lin.”
The System chimed in rapidly. “He’s your husband.”
Ah…
Lin Jianxi’s face lit up with a smile. “What’s wrong, husband?”
The man frowned. “Are you deaf? I’ve warned you more than once—don’t bring our personal relationship into work.”
Work?
Lin Jianxi glanced around and realized he was in a spacious office. He was dressed in a suit and leather shoes himself, and in his hand… he held a stick? A riding crop? A magic wand?
It was dark purple, about two to three centimeters thick.
The System explained, “It’s a custom Purple Bamboo Vine Punishment Cane. Pretty much like a riding crop.”
Lin Jianxi blinked. “A Punishment Cane? Who am I supposed to punish?”
The System continued, “The world you’re in right now is an ABO world—quite different from reality. Here, you play the role of Shen Yuxiu’s secretary—that’s your husband’s. Your company provides services for some unique industries in this world: bodyguards, enforcers, or people to satisfy certain human kinks, like masters for letter games.”
“As his secretary, besides handling Shen Yuxiu’s daily needs and security, you also serve as the head instructor at the training camp.”
“So this Punishment Cane? It’s for spanking people~”
Lin Jianxi chuckled. “Why not just use my hand?”
The System giggled. “Because you’re an Omega, hee hee. Relatively delicate, and top-tier Alpha pheromones make your legs go weak—especially during heat cycles. So this makes it super convenient for dishing out punishment.”
Lin Jianxi fell silent.
He glanced at Shen Yuxiu and asked the System, “Is my husband a top-tier Alpha?”
The System replied, “Top of the top.”
Lin Jianxi relaxed. In that case, as long as he stuck close to his husband every day, he shouldn’t run into any danger.
“Don’t be mad, okay?” Lin Jianxi sidled closer and planted a kiss on Shen Yuxiu’s lips. “I’ll be more careful about the occasion from now on.”
~~~
His husband ignored him, cold as an ice cube.
Lin Jianxi was used to it by now. Every time he transmigrated, his husband didn’t like him at first. It would pass after a while.
~~~
Five months flew by, and Lin Jianxi had fully acclimated to his body and the world’s rules.
In the morning, he deftly applied an Inhibitor Patch, slipped into his suit, grabbed the Punishment Cane, and headed to the kitchen.
Shen Yuxiu was cooking.
Lin Jianxi leaned against the counter and used the cane to tilt his husband’s chin up. “Husband, don’t stray too far from me today, or someone else might catch my scent.”
Shen Yuxiu set down the knife and sniffed at his neck, then gave him a serious look.
“You’re not going to the company today.”
Lin Jianxi picked up a tomato. “It’s fine. Just pre-heat jitters. I can’t take my heat leave half a month early—you’d get mad about that.”
Shen Yuxiu stared at him.
Lin Jianxi raised an eyebrow. “What?”
Shen Yuxiu said flatly, “I’m not happy.”
Lin Jianxi blinked. “Huh?”
Shen Yuxiu repeated, “Them smelling you. Not happy.”
Lin Jianxi laughed, hooked an arm around Shen Yuxiu’s neck, and kissed the corner of his mouth. “Husband, you’re so cute—like a little fucktoy.”
Shen Yuxiu captured his lips in a fierce kiss, those icy eyes locking onto his with a flicker of something deeper.
They shared the kiss, then Lin Jianxi sat down to eat. Once everything was ready, he trailed after Shen Yuxiu to the office.
He pushed open the door—
A young man in Trainee Uniform spun around. Black hair, an earring in one ear, a pendant dangling from his neck, and a flashy watch on his wrist—this gaudy getup made Lin Jianxi see an illusion of Song Cheng’an.
The youth bowed with a smile. “Good day, Instructor.”
Lin Jianxi nodded slightly, the corner of his mouth twitching up.
The Protagonist?
Before he could dwell on it, Shen Yuxiu spoke. “This is my brother.”
Lin Jianxi nodded, still harboring some doubts about the boy’s identity.
Shen Yuxiu added, “The one on the sofa too. Mind training them for me.”
Lin Jianxi glanced at the youth on the sofa and froze.
The boy was covered in wounds, his hair a tangled mess. Lin Jianxi couldn’t see his face—the kid wouldn’t even look up at him.
…This one seemed like a Protagonist too.
Young, with a tragic backstory, and deeply tied to his husband.
Lin Jianxi thoughtfully led the two out of the office.
The youths followed behind him.
Lin Jianxi asked, “What are your names?”
The flashy one replied, “Instructor, I’m Xu Song’an.”
The wounded one stayed silent.
Lin Jianxi didn’t press and continued, “There are only three rules for training here.”
Special rules for Protagonists.
“One: No turning gay.”
The System quietly reminded him, “These two are both Alphas. A male Alpha dating a male Omega doesn’t count as gay.”
Lin Jianxi paused. “…”
He pressed on. “Two: Be kind—recite the Heart Sutra once a day. Three: Think three times before you act. If you’re too pissed to think, lock yourself in the Confinement Room.”
The System: “…”
What Heart Sutra?
Lin Jianxi turned to the wounded youth, who was hanging his head. “Our training is intense. In your condition, hold off on joining for now. Rest up in the dorms and come find me when you’re ready.”
“Xu Song’an.”
“Here.”
“Come with me.”
Lin Jianxi brought Xu Song’an to the Training Ground.
The company’s training gear was black tank tops and pants. Xu Song’an’s fancy Trainee Uniform stuck out like a sore thumb—he was clearly a newbie.
Lin Jianxi said, “Adapt for half a day today. Formal training starts tomorrow.”
Xu Song’an nodded obediently.
~~~
Standing among the trainees, Xu Song’an grabbed someone nearby and slipped him a pack of cigarettes. “How’s this instructor?”
The guy snorted. “Looks hot, trains hard. Just seeing him makes my whole body ache.”
“And look at the back of his neck…” The guy lifted his chin. “He’s an Omega too. You’ll know in a few days. We messed with him on purpose before by releasing pheromones—it’s rare to see him weak like that. Fuck, it was so satisfying watching him, even better than porn. I hadn’t had enough yet when his damn boss showed up, put a mask on him, and that guy, eyes still red, slapped me twice and kicked the bro next to me. The punishment cane flew straight into another classmate’s face— the mark’s still there. Hah, anyway, don’t get any ideas about him. If you wanna fantasize, do it at night. Don’t let him notice, or you’re in for it.”
“That’s pretty intense,” Xu Song’an propped his cheek, then chuckled. “Interesting.”
The guy laughed. “You’re the one who’s interested. In a few days, you’ll want to die. That’ll be really interesting.”
Xu Song’an looked into the distance. Lin Jianxi was under a tree, head down lighting a cigarette. His cool side profile was the most captivating sight on the hot training field. Besides him, passersby kept glancing over but didn’t dare greet him or stare too long—they’d peek and then look down and leave.
“How’s he different from before?” Xu Song’an narrowed his eyes slightly.
The guy: “You know him?”
“Yeah.” Xu Song’an kicked a pebble away with his foot. It flew far and hit Lin Jianxi’s leather shoe.
Lin Jianxi looked over, his stern eyes strikingly beautiful. The trainees nearby all lowered their heads, muttering: “I can only look at him in my dreams, not in reality, fuck.'”
The guy: “Fuck, are you his relative or something?! What the hell!! Don’t drag me down if you wanna die!”
Xu Song’an smiled on the surface, grinding his teeth lightly. “Not relatives, but I’ll never forget him in my lifetime.”
