Chapter 19: The Gift — I Have a Present for You

The VIP restaurant on the 5th floor was accessible only to guests with VIP tickets.

Luo Fei followed Mo Han inside. The moment he entered, he found the environment incredibly unique. The entire restaurant was encircled by enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, with dining seats situated right beside them. The ceiling was also a panoramic skylight. The restaurant’s shape resembled an independent glass orb attached to the outside of the spaceship. Dining here allowed one to appreciate the universe’s panorama from every angle, as if suspended within the vast cosmos itself, surrounded by scattered stars with shooting star trails streaking by.

Soft piano music played in the restaurant. Dining in such a setting was indeed very romantic.

Luo Fei couldn’t help but praise, “The restaurant’s design is truly excellent.”

Mo Han nodded. “I think so too. Let’s order first.”

He opened a touchscreen tablet on the table, and a menu list with prices immediately appeared. Each dish had detailed images, plus introductions to its ingredients and nutritional facts. Luo Fei had seen such fully intelligent restaurants on the Capital Star and was no stranger to the operation. He selected a few dishes and showed his choices to Mo Han for approval. “Take a look. Anything else you’d like to add?”

Mo Han added a vegetable soup and a few more pastries before pressing submit.

The food arrived remarkably fast. Within five minutes, a robot carrying a tray delivered the dishes to their table.

This robot was different from typical metal robots. It wore a suit and bow tie, and its face actually had bionic skin. Eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth—all were decently realistic, making it look quite human-like. However, its joints weren’t as flexible as a human’s; it had to move along a set trajectory path and its face lacked expressions, so it was recognizable as a robot.

The robot placed the dishes on the table and said in a mechanical voice, “Esteemed guests, please enjoy your meal.”

After it left, Luo Fei smiled and asked, “This robot is also a product of your Fengyang Group, isn’t it?”

Mo Han raised an eyebrow in surprise, looking up at him. “How do you know?”

Luo Fei analyzed, “Among the companies capable of manufacturing intelligent robots, Fengyang Group is the most powerful. And you happen to have invested in KM Airlines. This type of bionic robot isn’t commonly seen on the market. So, I guessed it must be a new-generation product from Fengyang Group, being put into trial use first on this new-generation intelligent spaceship.”

People like hearing compliments, but the skill of complimenting was important. Luo Fei didn’t directly flatter Mo Han; instead, he spoke of Fengyang Group’s strength and analyzed the situation logically. Such praise was subtle yet very pleasing to the ear.

Mo Han’s lips curved upward slightly. “You guessed right. We’ve deployed bionic robots on the interstellar spaceship first to test some program issues, making it convenient to revise and improve later. The products truly aimed at the general public will be much closer to humans, with more flexible facial and joint designs, capable of simple expressions and actions. Moreover, the robot’s brain will be implanted with an enormously large data processing system, constantly connected to the data center’s network, allowing it to answer some questions from humans, just like a true human companion.”

Luo Fei looked at him, surprised. “So, the new-generation robots you’re developing not only look very human but can also communicate with humans without obstacles?”

Mo Han nodded. “Right. Old robots were all cold, hard metal, creating a sense of distance. Our new-gen bionic robots have a layer of skin made from a special material covering the metal surface. Once put into use, they’ll add more warmth and enjoyment to people’s lives. People can even buy them different clothes to wear. I hope robots can become our partners, not just cold tools. In the age of intelligence, all intelligent programs are created by humans, so they should serve humanity to the greatest extent possible.”

Luo Fei: “…”

Every time Mo Han spoke on such professional topics, Luo Fei found him incredibly dashing.

His ideas were indeed very novel.

Whether it was the new-gen spaceship integrating eating, drinking, and entertainment, or the incredibly human-like bionic robots that could truly become partners, the issues Mo Han considered were from a long-term perspective. The products he developed were also genuinely practical, vastly improving people’s lives.

He must have grand ideals in his heart. In his ideal world, all intelligent programs would serve humanity to the maximum, making human life more comfortable, convenient, and filled with warmth.

Before, Luo Fei only admired and liked Mo Han, but in this moment, a sense of respect joined that fondness.

His ideal Prince Consort should be someone like Mo Han—magnanimous, graceful, and visionary.

Mo Han was fully qualified to become the future Imperial Queen, even if he was an Alpha. It didn’t matter.

Marriage was now free. Even without a precedent for Alpha-Alpha unions, Luo Fei was willing to break that ground for Mo Han. The biggest difference between an Alpha and an Omega was the inability to bear children, which wouldn’t affect their feelings. They could do in-vitro fertilization. Their child with Mo Han would surely be very intelligent.

Mo Han never imagined that while he was merely chatting a bit about his views on intelligent programs, the mentally hyperactive First Prince had already progressed to thoughts about having children in the future.

His ability to imagine was top-notch.

Luo Fei’s mental detour was so involved, his gaze towards Mo Han grew increasingly tender.

Mo Han felt his scalp tingle under that stare and couldn’t help but clear his throat lightly. “What is senior thinking about?”

Luo Fei snapped back, touching his nose with a light laugh. “I was thinking, your views on intelligent programs are very sound.”

“Is that so?” Mo Han lifted his coffee cup, took a delicate sip, and looked at Luo Fei. “Then what about you, Senior? Do you have any ideals?”

“…” Chongming was forcibly booted from sleep mode. Luo Fei ordered it to rapidly search for relevant professional materials. He scanned through them at a glance, then said with a perfectly straight face, “I also want to apply the knowledge I’ve learned to daily life. Nowadays, most of humanity’s food is genetically modified products. They’re rich in nutrients, but the downside is that genetically modified crops require strict cultivation conditions, making them consistently expensive. I’m currently running some experiments with the food experts of the David Company. If the experiments succeed, they could greatly increase crop yields, bringing convenience to people…”

Luo Fei began to speak eloquently on professional topics. The identity he’d fabricated before Mo Han was precisely a graduate in Agricultural Science and Technology. Talking about the genetically modified crops mentioned in a graduation thesis seemed to fit this persona fairly well.

Mo Han drank his coffee, his expression calm as he listened to him spin his tales.

This First Prince had gotten addicted to acting, parading around with his transparent cover, playing “senior” right in front of him. He looked rather silly.

But Mo Han unexpectedly found that chatting with him was actually… quite interesting?

The First Prince was open-minded and had his own insights on many matters. Even though Chongming had dug up the materials, his ability to filter data and pinpoint the key points was very strong. Even when bluffing, he was bearable to listen to. Furthermore, he had a high acceptance for innovative concepts; his thinking wasn’t old-fashioned or rigid. This at least showed that His Majesty’s nurturing of him over the years hadn’t been in vain.

Though, he wondered—what kind of Omega would he choose as his Prince Consort?

Since that mutual probing at the Lyra Botanical Garden, he hadn’t asked about Mo Lin again.

It seemed his interest in Mo Lin—that physically disabled Omega with “mental issues”—had completely faded.

That was very good.

Being friends with him using his Alpha identity wouldn’t jeopardize his plans. As for what type of Omega he liked, he could go with whatever pleased him. It wasn’t Mo Han’s concern.

Each harboring their own thoughts, they chatted for a while. After listening to Luo Fei finish his grandstanding, Mo Han smiled faintly. “Senior is also quite thoughtful.”

Luo Fei said modestly, “I still fall far short compared to you.”

Mo Han smoothly changed the subject. “Let’s eat first.”

Luo Fei lowered his head and began cutting his steak. Seeing Mo Han eating pastries, he asked, “You like sweets?”

Mo Han nodded. “Mm.”

Luo Fei thought to himself, I must learn to make desserts properly in the future, so I can make some for him myself.

The restaurant’s food was exquisite. The two of them quickly finished their dinner. Luo Fei took the initiative to pull out his crystal card to pay.

His identity crystal card was covered by a blue protective sleeve, hiding its actual appearance. Watching him so seriously take out his crystal card to pay, Mo Han was nearly dying of laughter inside. First Prince, do you think putting on a protective sleeve means I won’t recognize what this crystal card is?

A platinum-colored card face, printed with the galactic map of the Cepheus Empire’s Royal Palace—a uniquely Royal Family identity card, signifying the highest clearance in the Empire.

Being hidden by its master inside a plastic sleeve… this card was truly being wronged.

Luo Fei completely failed to notice Mo Han’s amusement. After paying, he spoke up. “Oh, right. I have a gift for you.”

He took out an exquisite gift box and placed it before Mo Han.

Mo Han wanted to see what game he was playing and asked calmly, “Why are you giving me a gift?”

Luo Fei maintained his gracefully charming smile. “You don’t mind me being Emile’s assistant, and you’re willing to befriend someone like me—from an ordinary background. I’m actually quite overwhelmed by the honor. So, I wanted to give you a small gift, hoping we can continue to keep in touch as friends.”

Mo Han: “………………”

Someone from an ordinary background?

The heir to the Imperial throne, His Majesty’s most beloved First Prince, saying he comes from an ordinary background? Does your Royal Father know? If he found out, he’d probably beat you.

If Mo Han’s self-control weren’t so strong, he would have laughed aloud.

This guy was truly silly in an endearing way.

It was clear he’d been too well-protected by His Majesty. His first time traveling far from home, his real-world experience was severely lacking. He’d taken KM Airlines’ interstellar spaceship twice in a row, yet overlooked the crucial point that interstellar spaceships require real-name registration for ticket purchases.

He thought his fabricated identity was flawless, and even had Chongming constantly look up material for reference, chatting endlessly on specialized topics. Forgetting that the person facing him was a hacker.

If Mo Han wanted to check, he could directly look up his identity card from the airline’s system.

So, no matter how well he pretended, it was useless. Mo Han had already seen his identity card—Luo Fei Watson, His Imperial Highness, the First Prince.

Still, teasing him was quite amusing. Watching him so earnestly come up with excuses was just too adorable.

Mo Han smiled faintly, accepting the gift. “May I open it?”

Luo Fei nodded. “Of course.”

Mo Han opened the box and discovered a tie from a brand he often bought for himself.

A light blue tie with white embroidered patterns. Fresh, elegant, style perfectly suited for a young man. The First Prince had good taste.

Luo Fei looked at him somewhat nervously. “I didn’t know what you liked, so I just picked this tie on my own.”

Mo Han put the box away and said politely, “It’s very nice. Thank you.”

Luo Fei immediately smiled, his eyes narrowing happily. “You’re welcome. I hope you can use it.”

Mo Han said, “Of course, I can. It so happens I have a banquet to attend in a few days. I’ll wear this tie then.”

The joy in Luo Fei’s eyes deepened. “That would be wonderful.”

He was truly, incredibly happy that Mo Han liked the gift he’d chosen and was willing to wear it.

Watching his beaming expression, Mo Han was inwardly laughing so hard he was nearly bursting. So silly. That banquet I’m attending in a few days happens to be your birthday party.

When the time comes, and I appear before you wearing the tie you gave me… “Senior,” will you still be able to smile?

Status: Ongoing Native Language: Chinese

When the First Prince Luo Fei turned 18, the database screened the genes of all Omegas across the empire. The genes of a wealthy merchant's only son, Mo Lin, showed over 90% compatibility with the First Prince. However, the moment Luo Fei met Mo Lin, he realized that this Omega was a sickly invalid—paralyzed in both legs, suffering from hemiplegia, and also had a severe mental illness???

After school started, Luo Fei encountered a familiar-looking opponent during a mecha competition. He looked exactly like a certain Omega—tall and slender, with a handsome smile—and he nearly trashed Luo Fei's mecha.

——What happened to the promised paralysis???

1. A feigning sickness and weakness, actually sharp-tongued queen-type bottom × a gentle, loyal puppy prince top; the top spoils the bottom to the heavens;

2. An Alpha-Omega pairing. This is a story where both the top and bottom are peeling off each other's disguises. A light and sweet story, no angst;

3. Regarding point of view, the story starts from the top (Luo Fei)'s perspective, but the entire story revolves around the bottom. Later on there's a lot of bottom POV, so I chose to list it as bottom-focused. Actually, the top and bottom have equal screen time. Just enjoy the story, don't worry about the POV issue, muah.
